Black Sheep Market GVL

Heard lots about this place so decided to check them out. I got oxtails and they were pretty good product. However, they definitely need to work on professionalism and customer service in person. Many customers are first time shoppers!! Whether new or returning, there’s no need to be arrogant , nasty, or sarcastic to any customer, especially for just asking a simple question. For that reason, I personally won’t be back. I’ll rather go spend my money elsewhere …good products for good price though

My 1st time visiting and will definitely go back! I wasn't quite sure how it works and wished somone would have asked how they could help me earlier on. Once i did get help my experience was pleasant and I was able get more info on the process. I bought ribyes that cooked up nice and tender. The mullet and black bass were fresh, cleaned well, and ready for final cleansing before frying 😀. I had never seen chicken tenders so freshly packed and neatly intact. The tenders in grocery stores look ripped up. They tasted good too. Prices i saw and paid were cheaper than what i pay in regular stores with subpar quality. I will return.

My first time having beef bacon was brought from Philly. But lets just say I loved it & now that I know you guys have it I'm loving it even more. Each time I go in the guys are kind & helpful. Love supporting my own. 💪🏾

This is my go to meat market!! The customer service is top notch. Even when they're busy. They're meats are always good quality and affordable.

This place is so affordable,and the customer service is top tier! The meat was fresh and the chicken was very clean as well. I am extra excited because this is a black owned business too!!!

Love this place. It's family owned and chain stores can never beat mom & pop shop service. Reasonable prices with excellent quality. If you don't see what you want, just ask.

When he first opened this market it was reasonable and the meat looked really pretty and good. Today I went in to get turkey wings and they looked old and dried up and looked like they were freezer burnt. I don't like buying my meat here by weight because all the meat is frozen makes me think I am not getting the full pounds but a lot of ice weight. I was under the impression that this was going to be a good place to shop but it looks like a poor choice for me.

They Had Oxtails cut to your size, Turkey wings just the flats w/tips and most of all They have normal size to small Chicken wings. Pricing was good. I have been telling All My Newyorker that's in greenville where to get Meats like back home.

It was my first time there. I went based on high recommendations for lamb chops, and oxtail, meat outside of the usual found in grocery stores. Upon entry, my daughter and I were met with a warm welcome. The store did not smell of blood not was it super cold like some markets do to hide the smell. . T an array of meats that have been hard to find in Greenville (I'm new here ). The workers were very accommodating. I want to separate big packs of meat to share ( my daughter and I shop together ). He did it with out any attitude or annoyance. The prices were great. I will return each month. Great experience for a first-time shopper.

They have wonderful meats. Got beef stew- tender as can be, ground beef is super. Found this place by accident, the name intrigued me, so I tried it and was not disappointed. Will be there often

Stopped in here before the holidays and we picked up a beautiful prime rib. Staff were very helpful and we will be back. They have a great selection.

I can't speak highly enough about our experience with Black Sheep. Got a whole pig for Xmas but ended up getting covid. They were able to shift on a dime to help us postpone our party plans and everything worked out wonderfully. HIGHLY recommend for special events and everyday grub.

Quality meat and great customer service. I shop here first before I go to any of the big box supermarkets.

Our go-to butcher. My husband goes at least once a week. Our go to's are the pork chops (cut to your preferred thickness on the spot) and the strip steaks. Incredible prices and friendly service!

This butcher shop kicks ass. Friendly service, great selection, family business. Better prices than any grocer in town on fresh meat and seafood.
