We had an amazing dinner! The chimi steak and pork risotto were delicious! Gio was able to sit us incredibly fast after a mix up on my part with our reservation. Maddy delivered our food quickly, with a smile, as we needed to eat and leave to get to a concert. The only thing I can say as a small negative was it was rather loud and ourtablewas very wobbly. Otherwise great food and service in a cool vibe atmosphere. Thanks again!

Google
Used to be a hater but they’ve got a great drink lineup (pst…tequila) and atmosphere. Seriously, being here for brunch is dangerous. There’s a high chance you’ll get drunk AND have a hell of a time. 🥳 Food didn’t quite wow me but do you really need that when the drinks hit and the people are good?

Google
Black sheep was very good overall. I had the New Yorker. It was delicious however it was a little soggy so I think if it was served on a bed of lettuce or something that would definitely help. My sister had the chicken and waffles and said they were really good. My other sister got the eggs Benedict and said it was delicious. It was a little noisy once they started getting busier but I think the higher ceilings had something to do with that. Oliver was our server and did a great job of being attentive with us. We ordered the mimosas and they were tart but still drank them.

Came in for brunch on Sunday morning. Never been here before, but thought we'd try it. We weren't disappointed at all. The food was delicious, service was great, and we really enjoyed the place. We will definitely be back. Ok, came back today. This time, not so good. I understand it was busy, but it took a while to get service. Once we did, we waited and waited. And waited. We asked about our food, the bartender apologized, but still nothing. Finally the food came out, and we had no tableware. Finally got silverware, and the food wasn't that great. The biscuits were hard as a rock, and the eggs were really salty. The worst part was at the people next to us sat down, or served immediately, and got their food before we did. No, we won't be back.

Google
A great place for brunch, especially because they take reservations which is rare for brunch spots in Milwaukee. Don't fear if you don't make a reservation, there were spots open at the bar last time we stopped in. The bloody mary was delicious, and they even split it into two glasses so my husband and I could share. The menu is well-rounded. My husband loved the chicken and waffles. I loved the risotto, where I swapped out the bacon for avocado. I would be interested to go back for dinner and some wine!

Decided to stop in for Sunday brunch. We were greeted right away by a host who was very warm & kind. Our server, Patrick, was also kind and attentive. We ordered the chicken & waffles and the poached pear toast. The waffle left something to be desired but the chicken was PHENOMENAL. Poached pear toast was also delicious. I would have switched the bowl of fruit for something else however (too much fruit given it was pear toast). Overall would come again! Bloody Mary 8.5/10 :)

Google
First time at Black Sheep and it did not disappoint. The happy hour specials were very reasonable. Food was delicious and our server, though her first day serving alone, was great! Will definitely be back.

Google
I would first like to say why I am rating this three stars and it’s due to mainly two factors. The food is just good and nothing special along with a lack of flavor in areas where it would be easy to make some. I had the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were just fine but the gravy lacked any sort of flavor, be it spice or something original in it. The selection of food is very generic to all brunch places making this not much of an experience to remember. We were seated downstairs and most of the tables as wobbly and there is little light down there. I did however like the idea of having a button to call your waiter/waitress when you need something. This made it very easy for when we were ready to order and all. The service from the waitstaff was very good and friendly as well. We got two cups of coffee to go and it was three dollars for a small cup, won’t make that mistake again. I would much rather try other new places in Milwaukee.

Yelp
I've only ever been at Black Sheep for HH and it has to be one of the best in Milwaukee! Available Monday-Saturday 4-6, you can get great deals on apps and drinks. It's always busy with a fun and energetic vibe. Great place to meet up with friends.
google avatar

Tanya Y.

Yelp
It's the exact vibe I was expecting from a place called Black Sheep. Everything is just a little different, in the best way possible! I am absolutely OBSESSED with the cheese curds. They're pancake batter with maple syrup and I promise you, you need these. The cheese pull was immaculate. I also had the Lobster Roll (might've been called a Po Boy, I can't recall) and that was delicious especially with the addition of micro greens. The Parmesan Garlic Fries that were shoestring style and crispy were addictive. Ambiance wise, it has an eclectic kind of feel. Definitely makes me want to move to Milwaukee when I step into spots like this. And the staff were super friendly. There is ample street parking and it's not too far from a parking lot. A few of the buildings are under construction and look a little ehhhh, but honestly it's in a really nice neighborhood. I saw a lot of people out walking and tons of business-dressed people around.

Yelp
Can't say I've ever had anything but a good experience here. I recently returned with a few girlfriends for a dinner together. We booked a reservation ahead because Black Sheep is always pretty busy, plus it was the holiday season so we knew we'd better be on the safe side. Good thing we did because it was hoppinnn on a Monday night. I arrived a little earlier than my friends and grabbed a cocktail from the bar - a very tasty gin tom collins. Be in not cheap however. The six of us were soon sat at a high top and greeted by the friendliest server. He let us know it was half off wine night so you better believed we all opted for that. Plus, they have a pour-your-own wine station which is fun. You simply insert a card assigned to your table each time you pour a glass. We had the brussels and truffle fries to share and let me tell you... get them both! The guy wasn't kidding, they're both damn good and damn flavorful. For an entree I went with a big salad topped with steak and thought it was really refreshing. Steak was perfectly cooked. All in all I was so pleased with it. And of course I had a bite or two of my friends mushroom risotto which was creamy and delicious. Thanks for another solid night, Black Sheep.

Yelp
We have been coming to Black Sheep for Milwaukee brunch for years and it has never disappointed. I was shocked to realize I have never reviewed Black Sheep, so I am here to rectify that! Black Sheep brunch is next level. Hearty portion sizes, delectable flavors, and reasonable prices. What more could you want! On top of that, the staff are always super friendly, welcoming, and helpful with the menu. The ambiance of the restaurant is adorably sheep themed with some spiciness in the bathrooms. You have to visit to fully understand! After many visits for brunch, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Some of our favorites include the croque madame, the biscuits and gravy, the risotto, the breakfast sandwich, and the chicken and waffles. Like I said before, you really can't go wrong no matter what you order! We are already missing our Black Sheep visit today as we drive back to Chicago. Looking forward to our next visit to MKE and Black Sheep brunch!

Yelp
Street parking usu easy. Ambience was great-chic,clean.service friendly and knowledgable. Turkey blt was delish-chips were crispy and well seasoned. Chicken sandwich good as well. Nice happy hour

Yelp
What a cute spot. So glad that we stopped in. Our waitress was maybe the best part. But a solid drink and cocktail menu, a lot of great dinner menu options covering all likes, and so very cutely appointed. It's a great menu. My ONLY issue is that, like so many restaurants that have vegan options - which I am grateful for - they make them so spicy. Everyone else polished off their food. And the service was truly exemplary.
google avatar

Tanya K.

Yelp
What a gem of a little spot. We came here for brunch and had the pancake cheese curds and the chilaquiles. My friend had the croque madame. Everything was excellent. I'd definitely come back and try some more items.

Yelp
2nd visit. Caught Happy Hour which is amazing lol Got the sangria and a stolli lemon drop and the steak and mash sooooo amazing!! The vibe and atmosphere is nice!!! I cant wait to visit again and try something different. The bartender was great as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Black Sheep is a really solid spot! I have been for brunch as well as dinner, and was equalIy impressed both visits. For brunch, try the risotto that comes with sunny side up eggs on top, or the breakfast poutine if you want something super savory. The iced lavender latte was a hit as well. If you're a cheese curd aficionado, try the pancake-battered cheese curds served with maple syrup. It's a sweet-savory combo that I didn't expect to like as much as I did. I walked in during peak brunch hours on a Sunday, and was able to get a table for two without any wait time. They've always got a fun playlist going and some funky sheep-themed decor to spot when you're inside as well.

Yelp
Black Sheep sits across from Purple Door Ice Cream, and it had been a spot I've been meaning to try for a while. It's the perfect brunch, lunch, dinner spot- whatever you want to make it! The interior design is chic, the lighting is kinda divine, and all of it is quite exquisite. It was a midday brunch on the chillier side for us and we happened to be the first ones there for the morning, so we had the whole place + service to ourselves. We picked sun spots right by the windows to stay warm and also got the perfect lighting for our meals (+ pictures, of course). The ambiance was light, airy, but also a darker, heavier combination of cello instrumentals in the background. We enjoyed a spread of Lyonnaise truffle fries (6/5, and on my eager best-french-fry hunt, these are some of the best truffle fries I've had in Milwaukee), Mushroom Melt (VG), Beer Cheese Mac (VG). Even though they missed the mushrooms in the first sandwich they brought out, they quickly whipped together another plate to make sure I could have an actual mushroom melt which our server did such a nice job of checking in on throughout our meal. The server grated and drizzled fresh parmesan onto our food which we also graciously accepted. The age cheese in the mushroom melt and beer cheese mac were absolutely Wisconsin core and worth getting for the table. Black Sheep does a fantastic job of incorporating a variety of Wisconsin fresh-made cheeses into their menu items, so if you're on the hunt of trying a good combo of cheese + beer, this is your place. Overall, a rustic, homey vibe here!

Yelp
Black Sheep in Milwaukee is the lunchtime hero we all need! Walking in, you're greeted by decor so chic, you'll think you've stumbled into a design magazine. The menu is a delightful treasure trove of tasty options. Whether you're craving a sandwich that makes your taste buds do a happy dance or a salad that makes you feel like you're adulting correctly, they've got you covered. Love their shareable plates. Our truffle fries were . If you are a biscuits and gravy lover, you've come to the RIGHT place. The ambiance is perfect for pretending you're in a rom-com montage, whether you're with friends or flying solo. So, if you're in Milwaukee and your stomach is growling, head to Black Sheep. You'll leave with a full belly and a smile - Highly recommended!

Yelp
The waitress so was knowledgeable about the menu items and a real delight. The happy hour drink specials were a great deal too. The highlights were the food! We had 3 great appetizers and all 6 entrees were delicious . To top it off the prices were very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. We will be back soon to sample more of what they have on the menu!
google avatar

Pallavi S.

Yelp
The food was incredible! I really enjoyed my pasta and my friend loved her salad. The fries were crispy and hot and the drinks were great! The location was great and allowed for a quick hop to Third Ward for drinks after. The location itself is well decorated and beautiful and we appreciated the ambiance and view to the street and the other patrons. Service is where it fell short a little, our server was quick to serve us at the beginning but went missing multiple times and it was difficult to get his attention to put in our mains order. Service aside the food was the star, and I would come back again

Yelp
Highlights 1) Great Food 2) Fun Vibe 3) Outdoor Seating Available Black Sheep is a Milwaukee staple! We've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Our most recent trip was a Saturday night. We had a reservation which is recommended as it gets busy. They had their patio set up in the front and I even saw a few (well-behaved) dogs out there! Our table was ready right away. I chose to do the self pour wine "machine" which was so fun! You get a little card and can choose your wine and size of pour. I liked being able to try a few things. We ordered the brussel sprouts and the cheese board. Both were great! Menu items that are gluten free are marked. NOTE - I don't believe it's a separate kitchen or work space so call and ask your questions if your allergy is serious. I did the burger (no bun) and my husband ordered the ribs. Both of our entrees were good and service was friendly throughout. This is a tried and true classic!
google avatar

Mandy S.

Yelp
Sorry, camera did not eat first! Got the Brussel sprouts and they were fantastic! Paired perfectly with the house pinot noir! Bar tender was nice and attentive, too!
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
Like, don't love this place. Food, decent. Drinks, decent. I'm sorry but there is nothing drawing me in for more. Service is kind, staff nice enough. Location is great! But nothing really wowed me. If you are in Milwaukee and looking for a casual bar for a decent drink, definitely check it out!

Troy H.

Yelp
Would love to be able to give a review for the food or drinks, sat at the bar for 15 minutes and nobody acknowledged us, said Hello, or anything. Everybody at the bar had drinks or food, except us, yet we couldn't get any service, so we left.
google avatar

Corey C.

Yelp
A great place for a decadent date night. All the food was perfectly prepared. Flavors are very rich, intense, and fantastically balanced. Not really much "light fare" to be had. Cocktails were similar, bold strong and balanced flavors. Love it. The ambiance is dark and tasteful. I like the lighting and the layers of design in the space. Service was good, but could have been a little more attentive. (They gave us a small 4oz water glass, and didn't refill the whole meal. With my spicy chicken sandwich, and jalapeño cocktail, I was craving more water to put out the flames.) My biggest complaint is the noise level. With the brick walls and hard floors, conversation noise bounces all over, and one must yell to be heard. Some acoustic treatments would help tremendously.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been to Black Sheep twice. Once for dinner and once for brunch. Both were fantastic experiences. Fantastic food, drinks and service. Everyone I was with felt the same. I highly recommend. I am picky about Bloody Mary's and their's is excellent . Both the food and drinks feel elevated and carefully/thoughtfully made. I personally prefer sitting outside if it's nice out as the inside is fairly loud/noisy. We will definitely keep coming back
google avatar

Yelp
I had read about this place being one of the must do places in Milwaukee and I see why. We came for lunch and one of the best things is they offer 1/2 off starters and $3 taps. They offer brunch every day which is great! Why does brunch have to just be on the weekend?? Everything here was delicious and very fresh. The service was great and it was a super cool vibe too. I don't think anything here is bad.
google avatar

Colter H.

Yelp
Super relaxed yet lively vibe, excellent cocktails, and Pancake-Battered Cheese Curds (yes, you read that right).
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
I have been here a few times, and have nothing but great things to say about it! The restaurant is dimly lit, a little louder, but has a very young and fun feel to it. The service is always speedy, and I have loved nearly every dish I've had here. By far my favorite menu item is the Caesar Brussels sprouts!! Absolutely amazing. Crispy, saucy, and delicious. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is a staple as well- a little messy but very tasty. The last time I came I tried the bacon jam burger and was a bit disappointed. It was soggy, and my burger was ordered medium but brought out pretty rare. The jam wasn't my favorite either. Didn't have a great flavor, and had a baby-food-like texture. Regardless, still one of my favorite Milwaukee restaurants!
google avatar

Jake T.

Yelp
Food: Went for brunch. We got the hash with cheese curd cheese, egg, sausage gravy, and potatoes and also apricot toast. They were a nice combo of heavy and light food. The hash was a 4/5, toast was a 3.5/5. Probably would try something different next time. Service: sat at the bartender and he was awesome. I forget his name (sorry man), but he was very attentive even though it was very busy. 5/5 Ambiance: cool spot, wish we could have sat outside. 4/5 Overall: would go back again and try some different food, seems like a good local spot with excellent service.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing good food and great vibes.. the staff is really nice but the wait time is long but it's def worth it
google avatar

Kate G.

Yelp
One of our go-to places for happy hour! They have great drink deals and the food is also so good. I normally get the house sangria but this time I tried some sour cherry and lime spritzer. It wasn't on the menu for some reason but the bartender recommended it, as it's very popular. for food, we went with the breakfast poutine - always a good choice. And we tried the pancake batter fried cheese curds which were AMAZING. They come with maple syrup for dipping and it's unreal. Such a cute spot and it never disappoints!
google avatar

Emma F.

Yelp
We went to Black Sheep for brunch this past Saturday. You 100% have to get the pancake battered cheese curds to start. They were so light and airy. The maple syrup dipping sauce added such a unique spin on cheese curds. They were sweet and savory! It was my favorite dish at Black Sheep. I got the breakfast sandwich and wish it had more bacon on it. Only half of the sandwich had bacon on it. I also wish there was some type of sauce on it, like a spicy Mayo. However, it was still a solid breakfast sandwich and I had no problem finishing it lol. My fiancé got the hangover burger and said it was very messy, but had great flavor. I normally always try his meal, but it was so messy I couldn't really try it. My dad got the croque madame and was raving about it all day! He's a tough critic, so for him to love his meal really meant a lot. I look forward to coming back to Black Sheep. Next time we are going to check out their dinner menu.
google avatar

Han J.

Yelp
I adore Black Sheep for weekend brunch. I had a party of 3 on a Sunday morning without a reservation and was lucky to be seated right away. I ordered the Risotto because it sounded like a really interesting twist on an Eggs Benedict and I was not disappointed! It was really interesting and tasty. I also ordered a side of waffles for something sweet. The rest of my party ordered the Breakfast Sandwich and Chicken & Waffle--no bad reviews all around. Pricing was super fair, $14-16 per entree. Toast, which is right across the street, is usually my go-to Milwaukee brunch, but I recommend giving Black Sheep a try!
google avatar

Abby M.

Yelp
I have been to Black Sheep multiple times and have absolutely loved it every time! Their house sangria during happy hour is such a steal, I highly recommend their Salmon BLT during their lunch hour, the Brussel Sprouts, and their truffle fries as well. The waitstaff is always super friendly, I would also recommend a reservation during their happy hour to ensure you get a table. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
we came here for brunch on a saturday morning! seems like there were plenty of reservations available. the pancake battered cheese curds were really unique but was sweet esp with the maple syrup. if you're sharing this, i would not recommend getting another sweet item for your main dish. breakfast sandwich was good but i def could've made this at home so it didn't feel particularly special in any way - i liked the salad and its dressing though! my bf really liked his new yorker and we got a lavender oat milk espresso drink that was also very good. cool ambiance inside (they have painting of black sheep hung up on their wall) and our server was chill
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Met a friend for a couple drinks before a nearby show. Neither of us had been here before and we found 2 open seats at the bar. We each had 1 cocktail and 1 glass of wine. My cocktail, the aguas frescas, was dangerously good. My friend got a whiskey cocktail and it was strong but he loved it. We had a great time here, it's got great natural light and feels airy inside. Loved the pride flag on display. I'll come back here for sure
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
We came here the other night for our birthday dinner and had a nice time. We loved the appetizers of cheese curds and pretzel board, they were definitely 5/5 and would highly recommend! Our meals were good, but nothing too special. I got the risotto, which looks absolutely beautiful! And my family got a mixture of burgers and pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
google avatar

Emely R.

Yelp
Great and fun brunch spot in the heart of the Historic Third Ward! The bathrooms are an interesting touch to the establishment haha definitely check it out. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles and the White sheep which is a classical breakfast with eggs, toast, and bacon. Both very delicious and nutritious :p The service was wonderful and we called our server using a button system whenever she was needed. P.S- They have the MIMOSA TABLE SERVICE which is $25 for one bottle of Cava Brut with a large glass of orange juice to share between 2-3 people. Great deal!!!
google avatar

Char D.

Yelp
If you want to give Black Sheep a try, make sure you book a reservation, unless you are okay with sitting at the bar. We went right at 10am on Saturday and they were completely filled with reservations. We happily sat at the bar since it's full service! We started with the pancake cheese curds...and ate them too quickly for me to grab a picture! These were easily some of the best curds we have had. The chicken and waffles was more like a cornbread with waffles. Once we seasoned our entrees, they were a bit better. Portion size was really great. The star of the show was the $30 bottle of mimosa's- what a freaking deal! They seemed to have great happy hour deals, so we'll be back to check out dinner and the happy hour next.

Noelle K.

Yelp
I got the chilaquiles and it was really good! The sauce has the right amount of kick to it and the chips were still crispy. Our server was really nice and personable and the interior was very really well decorated and they had a bubble machine going outside bring a little fun to the place!
google avatar

Tanya K.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Definitely recommend the poutine and cocktails! Friendly service. Would have rated 5 stars, but service was a bit slow. If you're not in a hurry, definitely put this one on your list!
google avatar

Danielle R.

Yelp
This restaurant was in a cute little strip which had several other restaurants and bars nearby. I really enjoyed the ambience inside - they have a nice bar set up and tables are spaced out enough where it doesn't feel crowded. We ordered the pancake battered cheese curds, which I thought was an interesting twist on the dish. The sweetness from the pancake complemented the cheese curds. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts, which I felt were engulfed with dressing. If felt really salty, so I wouldn't order it again. Lastly I ordered the mushroom orecchiette. I did enjoy this a lot, but I didn't feel it stood out incredibly. Overall, I think this restaurant is a fun place to check out for a drink and appetizer!
google avatar

Greg B.

Yelp
I didn't have time to eat a full breakfast, but wanted to at least try Black Sheep's pancake battered cheese curds. I sat down at the bar and placed an order to go while in the area during weekend brunch hours. The batter was noticeably different than other kinds I've had on cheese curds. My initial thought was that I wish it had more of a sweetness to it like I associate with pancakes. The curds did come with a side of syrup to dip them in, which was a great combination, but I guess I was expecting a little bit more out of the batter itself without needing to dip them in the syrup. The staff was helpful and pleasant. There's maybe one or two other things on the menu I'd be willing to try if I came again during brunch. I don't know if I would get the cheese curds again, especially at $12 (as of 8/14/2022) since they didn't wow me, but I wouldn't fault anyone who wants to try them.
google avatar

Allison H.

Yelp
Brunch risotto changed my life!! Something I never knew I needed until I had it and I swear I can't go to black sheep for brunch with out ordering it!! I believe it does slightly change seasonally but every time I've had it the risotto has been so, so good! I also love coming to black sheep for their sangria (one of the best in Milwaukee in my opinion, and even better when it's happy hour!!) whether sitting at the bar or in the back corner booth the service as black sheep has never disappointed.

Yelp
This was a popular brunch spot. We grabbed reservations for 10:15am on a Saturday and they open at 10. When we arrived they had seated us and our server came over with water and a call button on a lanyard. The button was to press when we wanted to order something, however we never got around to using it because we came over very shortly for our drink order and when delivering drinks took our food order. The service here was...fine but we felt extremely rushed the whole time and it ended up being pretty rude overall. We ordered the poutine appetizer and finished almost all of it between the table, but not all of it. We were clearly still working when the server came over and was clearing our plates and then asked if anyone was going to finish the shared plate....but we had no plates of our own anymore. The poutine was tasty. The potatoes could have been a bit crispier but all in all a good dish. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were fantastic. Perfectly crispy chips, well cooked eggs, great flavors- highly recommend. Here's the kicker. After we finished our dishes our server cleared them and immediately brought the check even though it's brunch and we may have wanted a few more mimosas. It was 11:09 and our hostess came over with the "I'm not trying to rush you but we have another reservation waiting for this table." That's the issue, I understand a time limit but you want to turn this table in UNDER an hour? I was annoyed because we all had drinks left to finish. Rant over - food was good, service was rude.
google avatar

Larry R.

Yelp
had a great time. Food was fantastic. Service was great and the entire staff is super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend brunch.

Tracie J.

Yelp
We came in and were able to grab bar seats. I asked for a mimosa which is 10$. It came with ice. Since when was that a thing? I even asked the waiter if they fill them to the top, and he said yes. When it came with ice I asked for no ice, which came back half full... definitely not worth it. Their food was okay. Their biscuit was hard and more flat while their potatoes tasted a bit stale- as if left out for a while. They were also VERY salty. The gravy itself was super good. The staff were okay. The guy clearing our plates was the most polite. Never got silverware till our food arrived- weird ( to include napkins) Btw- the bloody Mary's are not fresh!! They have it in a huge plastic tub. Never coming back. Less than mediocre

Yelp
Enjoyed dinner here with a friend tonight and absolutely loved it! Black Sheep has been on my must-try list for a while so I'm happy I finally got to dine there. The entire space is so wonderful - inside & out. The decor and vibe is super chic and inviting. We split two appetizers: brussels sprouts (caesar on the side) and the pancake battered cheesecurds. We both ordered the mushroom orecchiette and added chicken. All of the food was incredible!! I was hesitant about the cheese curds because they are sweet, but they are scrumptious. The brussels were perfectly crispy and have great flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom pasta... everything about it is delicious. The sauce is creamy but not heavy, and the mushrooms and onions are cooked just right. I will 100% be back.

Yelp
The mac and cheese was horrible but y'all gotta try their salmon and steak. The salmon was beautifully cooked and still juicy and the steak was *chef kiss*. They were both seasoned well too. Seriously, I could eat those two things ever day and not get tired. The mac and cheese was super bland and the sauce was non existent. Bacon wrapped dates were pretty good! Overall, ambience, service and our mains were incredible. Came by around 9 pm and it was pretty empty so you most likely don't need reservations.

Yelp
I've been here a few times, but never before for brunch. I love the vibes of the space, and the food was good but not stand out. However, their brunch offerings completely blew me away and I have to say is one of the best brunch/lunch places I've tried in a while. Would definitely recommend trying the pancake battered cheese curds - slightly sweet, with maple syrup dipping sauce. It's a nice place to stop by for some appetizers and wine before a night out, but a little pricey.

Yelp
My sister called for a reservation / to see if there was a wait right before leaving. The person was hard to understand with the volume. 5 patio tables, 1 over some degraded manhole with a hole in it. The patio area in the parking lane was decorated with modern lights and structure. Dogs are allowed. They have a call button to order and menu are online. The posters with naked men with Sheep heads covering their heads in the dimly lit bathroom was suprising. The cheese curds are covered in powdered sugar and served with syrup. The pancake batter is a clever twist for brunch but the cheese curds weren't melted. They don't do lunch on the weekends which we found out as ordering. There wasn't much on the brunch menu and nothing wanted - especially with an allergy, so we only tried the curds. Maybe they could add the days or hours in the lunch menu?

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner on Saturday night with a friend of mine and found this to be a cool and delicious Milwaukee experience. We started with the pretzel and cheese curd appetizer which was very good. Not sure where they got the cheese curds from but those were exceptional. I then moved on to the orecchiette with mushrooms. Very rich umami notes topped with toasted breadcrumbs. She had the grape salad which was nothing particularly unique but nicely done. Great spot for a friends night out, first dates, second dates, or just because.

Yelp
Great drink specials! We stopped in for a few drinks after lunch across the street at Toast. Bartender was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us drink menus but they had $5 margaritas on special so we opted for that. I thought of Black Sheep as more beer based but was very impressed with their large cocktail menu. The $5 margs were fantastic btw...better than I've had at some Mexican restaurants even
