"Black Turtle Coffee may be small-ish, but it’s ideal when you want to write a few emails in a calm and cozy space. There are window-facing tables and bar seats—plus a few sidewalk tables when you want to people watch on a nice day. The menu is full of caffeinated essentials like cappuccinos, espressos, and drip coffees. But the Center City shop also has unique specials, like blackberry lavender, raspberry cheesecake, and mango peach lattes when you want a sugary change of pace. Grab a slice of moist coffee cake, choose your morning pick-me-up from the menu on TV screens, and decide just how productive your day will be." - Candis R. McLean

Here’s the revised version with the owner details removed: I recently had the pleasure of visiting Black Turtle Coffee, a gem nestled at 3101 Revere Boulevard in Brigantine, NJ. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The menu offers a delightful array of beverages and baked goods. I particularly enjoyed their Latte, a harmonious blend of robust espresso and velvety steamed milk. Paired with a freshly baked pastry, it made for a perfect start to my day. For those busy days at the office in Atlantic City, Black Turtle Coffee’s proximity is a blessing. Their efficient delivery service ensures I can savor my favorite brews and treats without leaving my workplace. Ordering through platforms like Uber Eats and DoorDash has been seamless, with prompt deliveries that brighten my workday. Beyond the exceptional products, Black Turtle Coffee stands out for its dedication to quality and community. Their small-batch roasting technique ensures each cup is a masterpiece, reflecting their passion for the craft. Additionally, their commitment to supporting local initiatives adds to their positive impact. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Brigantine, a visit to Black Turtle Coffee is a must. It’s more than just a coffee shop; it’s a beacon of excellence and inspiration.

Black Turtle Coffee is an adorable little shop with a friendly atmosphere and wonderful staff. While it’s a great place to stop by, I wish they offered more than just muffins as food options. I ordered tea, but it wasn’t the best. In fairness, they specialize in coffee, so if that's your drink of choice, you’ll likely have a better experience. Overall, it’s a cozy spot, but I’d love to see a bit more variety on the menu.

Came in for the first time, they have a large drink menu with a lot of great options from drip coffee to floats. I got the affogato- the shot of espresso was smooth and the ice cream was delicious! they were kind to everyone and gave great suggestions.

Found this coffee place while in brigantine for the week and ended up going every day! The staff is so nice and the coffee and flavors are so good. Highly recommend :)

Google
It’s a brand new coffee shop in Brigantine. We finally decided to try it this weekend. The inside is very nice. I like the decor and they have plenty of tables. They offer desserts from a local baker and they make few themselves. We ordered a latte. It was absolutely delicious!! The beans have incredible chocolaty aftertaste. The foam was great and it was the right temperature. They roast their own coffee. Everyone was very friendly.

Google
Highly recommend hot banana nut latte & iced caramel latte. Breakfast has a small menu but it sells out for reason. Wake N’ Bake sandwich-trust the layout, it slaps.

Google
The best cup you'll find anywhere in or near Brigantine. The aroma of freshly roasted beans fills the air as soon as you open the door. Perched on the counter you'll find a small selection of delicious pastries for purchase. The muffins are great. I always buy a bag of their fresh, in house roasted bombshell beans. It's always a tough choice when reading the specials menu, I can never decide which drink to order, they all sound so yummy! Luckily, an expert barista is always ready to give a recommendation. If you're a mocha latte drinker you'll love the smores latte. Unlike what you'd get at chain coffee shops, you can still taste the freshness of the beans in your beverage. The eggnog latte is also wonderful during the winter months. Their traditional drip cup of coffee is some of the best I've ever had. Even their decaff is excellent! BONUS if you love their coffee as much as I do they have a mail order system so you can get your beans delivered right to your home!

Google
Stopped in and I had the worst coffee drink of all time here. Service was like nonexistent. Not for me won’t be back. 7311 is a way better shore coffee shop option when compared to here not even close.

Yelp
Best coffee in Brigantine - we love this place! Great to take out or it is also a nice place to relax and enjoy your favorite drink. The staff is always friendly and happy to help you with your order.

Yelp
The owner of this establishment, Braeden Anderson is the reason for this 1 star review. I waited 70 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and a cortadito. This is unacceptable, because of Braeden. I would like to commend our barista Shane, who made excellent food and coffee drinks, despite being backed up as the only barista and working available. He deserves a raise and gold medal. Lamica, a manager, stepped up around 15 mins and made sure that our concerns were addressed. We came the previous day and had a fantastic experience, but the shop was not as busy. From the very beginning, Braeden did not acknowledge our concerns, those of other patrons, and did not even try to apologize for our experience. He said that because he has a 2 year old and his role is not that of a barista, but as an owner. I have been to many coffee shops and any reasonable owner would have apologized for such a situation and tried to make it right, not argue with all the customers in their shop.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp when looking for something just like this. A cute, but legit coffee shop with a small amount of breakfast food items. Staff were friendly and hard working. I got the Canadian maple latte and it was delicious! Also, super hot which I appreciated. Got a French toast muffin on the side and that flavor did not disappoint. Also, what a great combination of flavors. It's definitely pricey, like $8 for a drink, but a delicious drink with a relaxing environment. Service was a little slow for speciality type drinks, but worth it.

Alexis R.

Yelp
Coffee is worth it! I mixed the dark and light roast black. Better than Starbucks . People are very friendly too !

Yelp
This review is specifically for the owner, Braeden Anderson who is an awful human being who exploits his employees. Context: The cafe was extremely backed up. We waited for 70 minutes for our sandwich and coffees. While his amazing employee (Shane) was struggling to keep up with the multiple orders, Braeden just sat there on the couch scrolling through Instagram while his amazing employee did all of the work. We confronted Braeden along with the other 5 customers. He took no accountability and stormed out of the store mid-conversation pissed off. Amazing coffee/staff. Disgusting owner.

Yelp
Found this awesome little coffee shop after a work trip in AC. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I got a S'more latte and a wake 'n bake. Latte tasted wonderful, almost like hot chocolate with gram crackers in it. The wake 'n bake was delicious and came packaged up beautifully in a little wrapper. Will definitely be stopping back the next time I am nearby.

Yelp
Will never come back here again. I paid $11 for an avocado toast it was one tiny half of a square of bread with 2 tomato slices and 4 avocado slices on it. I wouldn't even feed that to a young child. It wasn't even a full piece of bread. The service was nauseatingly slow. It took 45 minutes for me to get my singular slice toast and cold brew. I spent WAY too long when I just wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before the beach. They were out of EVERYTHING. I wanted whole milk in my coffee and they were out of all milk except for skim. I then had to pay $0.75 more for soy milk because there were out of whole and 2%. They were also out of nitro cold brew and bacon. Is this not a coffee shop??? How do you not have whole milk. Ambiance was horrible because everyone in the shop was antsy waiting for their drinks.

Kelsey C.

Yelp
Cute on the inside! My dietary restrictions at the time of trying their drinks was limited. So I opted for an unsweet tea. Loved it!! Can't wait to try their coffee when we return next year. Head next door and try Kook burger! Amazing!

Richard R.

Yelp
Just walking into this place is awesome. The smell of fresh roasted coffee is fantastic. The space is very clean. cozy and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Most importantly the coffee is great. We had a cortado and a cafe mocha. The baked goods available were also very good. Very lucky to have this Black Turtle Coffee in Brigantine!

Yelp
Unless you want to support a self-important, entitled business owner who does not care about his employees or customers, do not go to this coffee shop! I visited BTC on a Sunday morning and the shop was very busy. There was only 1 barista working, Shane, who had to be a miracle worker, running around like a chicken without a head, while the owner Braeden relaxed on the couch mindlessly scrolling through Instagram. After several customers waited for their orders for 80 minutes, Braeden decided to make a public announcement to all the customers about how his scheduling projections didn't factor in the morning rush, rather than actually being apologetic and taking accountability. Feeling terrible for poor Shane, I then asked why Braeden couldn't step in to help his staff. He stated "I'm not a barista and do you think the CEO of McDonald's steps into the kitchen?!". Another customer then stated that the McDonald's CEO frequently steps into the kitchen to empathize with his staff - there was even a documentary on it. Braeden proceeded to say "that's cute". Then after he was tired of listening to frustrated customers, he walked out the door mid-conversation and did not return. Someone who is so entitled, has no desire to work and be a team player, and has zero regard for his employees or customers does not deserve to own a successful business. I urge all customers and investors to stay far away from this toxic human being who exploits his employees and is too good to even lift a finger.

Diane C.

Yelp
Had a simple drip coffee, in medium roast (black) and it was cleannnnn!!!! It's all I need to taste to know I'll be back soon!! Single origin beans are roasted in house and it's perfect.

Jade C.

Yelp
I came here after seeing them advertise on my Instagram feed for several months. I was...let down. I came on a Friday before a holiday that most people have off. It was dead which is a sad sign to me about a coffee shop. I got the maple latte iced and my coworker got a muffin. I wanted a chicken sandwich but I was informed there was nothing available but breakfast sandwiches despite the displayed lunch menu on the counter. The coffee was...meh. Sickly sweet and left a weird taste/coating. Plus $7 for a small iced latte I didn't even finish? No thanks. I didn't think the atmosphere was particularly relaxing/cute/welcoming and the bathroom was spray painted and felt like a frat house. I probably wouldn't be back.

Sarah V.

Yelp
Horrible service, went in to get 4 sandwiches and it took us over an hour to get our food. One person behind the counter moving at snails pace. Would not come back.

Samantha S.

Yelp
I'm going to be perfectly honest. I'm not certain that this place exists. That's not to say that I haven't been quite a few times now -- I have. Only that it's such a surreal (though delightfully, consistently pleasant) experience inside that I'm hard-pressed to believe I'm not hallucinating. I've only ever seen one man serving as the barista and he invariably says the same perfectly affable prompts every time. The coffee is delicious. The tea is lovely. I've especially enjoyed their iced buns as well. The songs, though I've never heard any of them before, are all easy listening. I've nary seen more than one person in the shop and the stranger had such a quipped conversation with the barista man that even that disoriented me. If this place is more than a flight of fancy, I love it. If I have hallucinated the whole thing, I recommend you go to the same spot and do as I've done. I will (I think?) be back again soon.

Emily S.

Yelp
Best coffee I've ever had plus at a reasonable price compared to the going rate for quality coffee these days. The baristas are so sweet and work efficiently. Will be coming back! I love the inside and outdoor seating areas as well as the decor.

Rita P.

Yelp
As a Local, and someone who can't say no to a cup of Coffee....this is the best place to come and sit enjoy some cool tunes, and sip on some yummie coffee. I didn't eat, but I did see the Chef fix an appetizing wrap of Turkey! Nice place grab some lunch work/ connect on WiFi and snack! Come on in and You will see what I experience. Thank you

Samuel B.

Yelp
Too slow. Waste of time and money. No parking. Left cappuccino there and went somewhere else instead.

Nikki M.

Yelp
Great service. Great coffee! Can't wait to go back again. It's so nice having such a friendly, fun place to be able to just sit and relax.

Lisa B.

Yelp
No cap, this is my favorite coffee place I have ever been to. Best mocha latte I've ever had.

Ed J.

Yelp
Great coffee with great service! Nice array of roast levels. And free pup cups! A definite stop on your morning walk to the beach.

Richard G.

Yelp
Fantastic place to grap a coffee and a muffin in Brigantine. Really nice servers. The dark roast is very rich.

Macie H.

Yelp
Customer service is very pleasant and the coffee is delicious! Coffee beans straight from Brazil, a must try coffee spot on the island. Support local!

Yelp
Awesome coffee spot with yummy quick serve menu (Wake n Bac brekkie sando was amazing). Delicious coffee, chill vibe and awesome service. 10/10 would come here again!

Allysa V.

Yelp
They have a huge shellection at Black Turtle Coffee. I had the peach mango iced latte with oat milk and it was delicious. I am not a big coffee person but wanted to try something new and I'm happy I did.

Traci S.

Yelp
Cozy spot with yummy drinks. Friendly staff. Definitely a place I will go to again. Free WiFi if you want to get some work done too

Mikey D.

Yelp
7 dollars for an iced coffee that looks and taste like iced tea Prices do not justify quality of beans as this coffee was terrible

Flaquita M.

Yelp
LOVED this place! The decor was fun and relaxing, the barista was sweet and made us killer lattes. If only the small coffee houses in our town would stay open all day like this place....

Emma L.

Yelp
amazing coffee! definitely the best in brigantine! my friend and I have gone almost every day of our trip, and have never been disappointed! Best coffee and great environment!

Cheri F.

Yelp
Love the locality of this place and truly want to support local BUT coffee is higher priced than Starbucks. they nickel and dime you. $.50 for Vanilla, $1.00 to heat up cinnamon rolls. So 2 lattes and 2 Cinnamon rolls was $29.18. Disappointing cause I want to every business to succeed in Brigantine.

Nicole S.

Yelp
If you're looking for a cozy and welcoming cafe with excellent coffee, baked goods and plenty of charging ports Black Turtle Cafe is definitely the place to be. One of the standout items on their menu is undoubtedly the banana nut latte. This delicious and unique beverage is the perfect combination of sweet and nutty flavors. Overall, this is the best coffee shop on brig!!

Heather F.

Yelp
Stopped for the first time today - got a large iced coffee & it was delicious! Very cute place and friendly staff. Excited to have a good coffee stop in Brigantine when we come!

Marvensley A.

Yelp
best coffee & breakfast sandwiches on the island! great place to sit, read and hang!

Ray T.

Yelp
Quick grab and go with the wife while driv8ng brigantine for the first time. Neat shop- roasted on site- merch and swag, and good coffee. Lots of options for coffee, and a few baked goods in the counter. Imagine it's a busy place in the summer!

Christian G.

Yelp
Their service is always great as always and there's always never line when I come to visit the black turtle coffee. The staff is very forward and friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and the prices when I needed help. Although every time I order my drink it's always a subtle taste and not that explosion of flavor that I expected. Which is okay when I gave it a second chance it still was the same but now I know to always ask for extra pump to my enhance the flavor of my coffee. I ordered the gingerbread decaf Cuban coffee with oat milk really warm to none. My first visit I ordered the maple Canadian latte that was good and toasty but still the flavor needed just help thank goodness for my skinny girl syrups I always save the drink in the end. I have no problem I can help the drink too. I will still keep coming to this new coffee shop

Stac P.

Yelp
Always friendly and has a great variation of flavors for lattes ! I will always recommend black turtle coffee ! Clean and quiet atmosphere too!

Beth P.

Yelp
Thrilled for a coffee house to open on the island! This cafe is cute, the decor is typical coffee house with a few high tops, several tables and bar seating. The baristas were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. My friend and I both ordered lattes and they were delicious. The menu is a variety of coffee, espresso, chai, lattes, mochas and specialty drinks including a house red eye and affogato. They do have alternate milk options and a few bakery items available. This is place is 100% getting added to my regular routine, the coffee and the atmosphere are exactly what I was missing when I moved to the island. Added bonus: dog friendly.

E R.

Yelp
A cozy, warm, clean haven. They have lots of delicious and unusual options for coffee and tea, and comfortable places to sit alone or with friends. Great music, kind and quick service. I had the Canadian Maple Latte and it was delicious. My brother had a chai latte and liked it. The locally roasted beans were a great plus too.

Inna Z.

Yelp
The Best Flat White other then getting on a plane and going to Australia to get one!!! Good luck in your business. I'll definitely be back and you have a new customer!

Jennifer C. A.

Yelp
Had a dirty chai. Never had it before. Was delicious if you like chai. Great atmosphere and fabulous staff.

Dalton S.

Yelp
What a lovely coffee shop. The staff was extremely friendly and polite. They have so many delicious drink options! I can't wait to come back here

Jason Z.

Yelp
Came in around 10AM on a Monday--the employee was doing her thing sitting down and felt like we were interrupting her the entire time we were there. We felt rushed on ordering...she asked what would we like before we even had the chance to look at the (super reflective) board/menu. Ended with Americano and a Mocha Latte. Didn't get any recommendations as the cashier/barista just stood quietly in front of us, which adds to the rushed feeling and awkwardness. Wasn't util after paying that I saw something special that I may have liked to try out. I tend to also buy a bag of beans when I visit a shop, but it was too expensive sitting around $18 average for a 12oz bag of beans. The drinks were pretty good otherwise.

Kelly G.

Yelp
I love that there is now a trendy coffee shop in Brigantine! The coffee was great, as was the vibe. Fun flavors as well.

jessica l.

Yelp
This is a cool new coffee tea house on the island. They roast their own beans on the premises and everything is incredible. My favorite is the ice matcha with oat milk - it's shaken so it tastes richer. The staff are super nice too.

Saldrag G.

Yelp
Fantastic service and coffee! Great ambiance as well. The chai lattes are really good as well. Must try if in the area!

Beth R.

Yelp
Great, friendly service! Wonderful coffees! Fun atmosphere! Would definitely recommend to the coffee aficionado!

Beth P.

Yelp
I got a s'mores latte and it was absolutely amazing. The shop was so cozy and was a great spot to hang out in on a rainy day. It was a little expensive though. It was $7 for the smaller size.

Jared R.

Yelp
The amazing smells coming from this places fill the entire street. I got their banana nut latte which was one of the best coffees I think I've ever tasted, but was a little disappointed with how much room was left in the cup considering I paid for a large, tasted amazing though, and the place was very clean. Asked them for a flavored cappuccino as well and they were able to do that.
