Blackbird Doughnuts Watertown

I just went here for the first time. I’m vegan and there were so many options for donuts! Approximately 1/3 of the donuts are vegan. I also got a matcha. The special flavor available right now is blueberry lavender matcha. I like sweet drinks and this one tastes like cereal milk, it’s delicious! Service was amazing as well, I asked for recommendations and was very pleased with everything I got. I will definitely be back! I also parked in the free purple garage.

Points for efficient service, however the donuts I got taste like they were baked a day or two ago :( donuts should not be chewy.. i went in the morning and expected them to be fresh. Also their breakfast sandwich is just processed egg, worse than Dunkin. I’d recommend the Blackbird location in the South End instead, which is the only reason I even came here. This was not worth the price!

When I come Arsenal Yard, I take my coffee from this store. This time, I ordered 1 medium latte and 1 large americano. She put the register 2 lattes. When I told her, she was rude and refused to refund it. She said there was no big difference and not matter. Communication and expression are very important. She needs training about 2 criteria. I’ll never come back this loc.

This is my first time at this Blackbird location and I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the space is. The location in my neighborhood doesn't have any seating, so I found the seating here to be a nice way to enjoy my doughnut fresh. I also ordered one of the seasonally matcha lattes, which had a good amount of sweetness while still maintaining the matcha flavor.

I have noticed this donut shop after visiting arsenal yards and my wife told me that we should try it. This morning I was in the area and stopped for some donuts. I got a half dozen and a coffee for $25, so my expectations were high as far as donuts go. After trying their donuts I can honestly say just go to Dunkin. Their proofed fluffy donuts were very chewy and tasted like grease. I think this might have something to do with the weather but again Dunkin's donuts have never tasted like this. Their cake donuts were okay, but I really prefer the poofy donuts so over I was kind of let down. In short I will not be buying donuts from Blackbird again.

First, the good: The ube iced latte was fantastic. Smooth, flavorful, and refreshing. I’d definitely order that again. Now, the bad: Unfortunately, everything else we ordered fell far below expectations. We got five donuts and six minis, and they ranged from mediocre to completely inedible. The Boston Cream had a disturbing fizzy taste, like the filling had gone off. Clearly past its shelf life. The Raspberry Lemon donut was stale and chewy. Tasted like it was made days ago. The Carrot Cake donut had a strong, unpleasant taste of old fryer oil. Couldn't eat it. The minis were dry, stale, and equally disappointing. All in, we spent $35 for one good drink and a box of inedible donuts. Rating: 1 out of 10 Would not recommend.

Lovely addition to Arsenal yards. I especially love the vegan options they have, including the strawberry frosted. Very quick service and the donuts are always fresh.

Its a sort of depressing place. Too many take out orders and no one actually there. The donuts are ok but not as good as Union S Donuts. The coffee at least at 2pm is terrible like it was made at 7am and reheated all day. Yuck.

Just enough space to throw up a shingle and open the door. They offer two items; coffee and donuts. All the coffee is made by a barista so there is no such thing as just a cup of coffee. I was looking for a cup of ice coffee of which I was offered two choices; an Americano which is espresso. A little too strong for my taste and then there was a cold brew. I opted for a cold brew. The donuts were gourmet if it is possible to make one. They each looked like a million calories so I just had one. I ended up going with a glazed crawler. It just means I will have to spend some additional time at the gym. Blackbird is in arsenal yards which is relatively new so the store looked brand new. The interior was black that fit the name. The coffee was 5.00 which's raised my eyebrows I can remember the day when 1.00 was considered pricey. I would return.

Blackbird is my go to "fancy donut" spot. The everything bagel donuts are so unique and delicious. I got a back of mini donuts for a holiday party and they were such a great little treat!

Yum! Yum! Donuts! It's always a treat getting donuts from here! My bf and I have been waiting for this location to open and it finally did! We love coming here on weekend mornings and treating ourselves with yummy donuts and coffee. I really like this location because there is plenty of seating so we don't have to grab our donuts and run! It seems like every time we come they have new flavors and creations to choose from. They have their staple donuts but now every month they have new exciting flavors. This time I tried their honey glaze braid which was very good and their jelly filled mixed berry jam! Yum! Yum! The berry jam was very tasty and not super sweet. We also ordered some coffee and I really like that they can make anything on their menu decaf for my bf. We always have to get a couple of donuts every time we come and we never share! Haha!

If you're looking for fresh donuts and have a bit of a sweet tooth, Blackbird's your place. I had never tried them before, so when I saw they opened up in Arsenal Yards I couldn't resist. They offer monthly flavors as well as classic options. I decided to try the Triple Chocolate cake donut and wow...so delicious from the first bite to the last. I also got the Toasted Marshmallow Latte and that was yummy as well. The interior is really classy and they have some tables inside for you to enjoy your treats. They also have merch for sale from cool beanies to this donut journal that I'm tempted to buy next time I'm here. Everyone working there was very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of free parking at this location as well so that's a huge bonus. Will be back to support this Boston based business!

Some of the items are amazing and some fell short. For instance the ham and cheese pastry was not great.. but the tomato pastry was delicious! The iced lattes were very flavorful and strong.

Friendly staff , attractive looking donuts , a little pricey . Got the old fashioned chocolate donut but was disappointed by it feeling oily and not very chocolatey .. this may just be an example of a donut I don't love and I'll try another one some time .

We stopped by here to get some treats on Father's Day, and everything was delicious! They didn't have all of the flavors on their menu when we visited, but we didn't really mind because there were still too many interesting doughnuts to choose from. We ended up getting a raspberry marshmallow donut that was good except the frosting filling was a bit sweet for my taste (the kids loved it, though) and a maple bourbon doughnut that was amazing.

I was so excited when we discovered that this location was here! The food is always excellent. Nearby parking garage is very convenient. At the time we were there, I do feel as though they were understaffed as there was only one poor girl manning the counter alone, but it's possible that was a one-off fluke (she was doing an excellent job though!). Indoor bathroom available but very limited seating so be prepared for that.

Great donuts... there is a website to check stick if you have a fav you must have.. It's a world class donut so expect the price but if you want the best it's a small price to pay for the quality! Their creativity only eclipsed by the delicious dough and various fillings! I highly recommend though I find the coffee is often incredibly hot so keep that in mind! The cookie shaped donut London fog Funfetti filled the list is extensive but worth trying them all!
