Blackbird Pizzeria

After eating a cheesesteak for a few nights in a row I figured I would try a vegan one! It almost tasted like the real thing! Bread was a little chewy though. Ordered the habanero wings and they were too spicy to enjoy unfortunately. I want to come back and try their pizza.

Ever since I became vegan, I have searched for vegan places every where I travel! Blackbird was recommended. The food here is pretty good. I did, however, have a long wait time for my Cubano. If you are really hungry, recommend calling in your order. Their “steak n cheese” could definitely take a little bit more “cheese” ;) and their cheese fries were pretty good. With so many chick’n products available, I was pretty surprised they used wheat meat for their hot “chicken” sandwich.

Blackbird Pizza is a hole-in-the-wall vegan place with great cheesesteak and hoagies. We've not tried the pizza or wings yet, but will likely get around to that eventually. The food is really delicious, and their cheese sauce still has me wondering if it's really vegan. Both times we've been, the staff has been a little less than courteous, but still helpful and delivered as expected... so maybe that's the vibe they're going for. There has been a crowd each time we've been, so it's clearly popular. Don't expect ambience because it's a pretty standard pizzeria. Don't worry though, they'll gladly prepare your order to go and stock the bag well. The prices are pretty standard for the amount of food you get. And again, it is really tasty food.

The food here was amazing. It's always great to visit a restaurant where we can have anything on the menu and not worry! We came there for the Cheesesteak, since we were told it was the best one in the city. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I wish we had time to return, but it means we'll have more to explore on another trip! (portions are BIG too, heads up)

Amazing vegan place! The staff is super friendly and relaxed. Very helpful. So wished I lived closer to the city. Had the vegan "cheese steak", was superb! Also had a slice (I was feeling glutinous - don't judge 😉) of the vegan 'pepperoni' pizza. Again, awesome. The Violife cheese they use is the best vegan alternative I have had. Highly recommend!!!!

First time here and it was great! Got the Haymaker slice and my girlfriend got the calzone. I'm not a vegan but my girlfriend is. She had high expectations after she saw this as a Vegan option in the city. She loved the pizza and the calzone. I thought they were both great as well. Only thing I would suggest is upgrading the atmosphere. Kinda dingy looking. Add some pictures on the walls or some kind of theme. Music would be nice too! Great place though! Will be back again =)

I've tried almost everything here and everything is amazing. My favorites include the vegan cheese fries, funghi pizza, and beer-battered BBQ wings.

It's good places for vegan. Love the brunch bird pizza. Plain pizza not my favorite but my son loved it.
