We stayed here on a recent bike tour. The sites are beautiful and secluded. We were the only campers on an October midweek evening. There is firewood available for purchase on the campground loop and the portable toilets were clean. However, the water spigot was not operational, so be sure to bring adequate water with you.

I come here often with the family, it's a great place. Lots to do, always clean and beautiful scenery . Activities to do from having a picnic, walking or biking the trails, camping, fishing & horseback riding just to name a few.

I love this park but Summer 2023 is riddled with ticks, mosquitos, and a whole lot of poison ivy. Not going back this year. I’ve been going here for the last 3 years; mosquitos always an issue but this year there is poison ivy everywhere (especially the 5 circle trees by the lily pad pond near horse trailer parking-photo added - zoom in! you can see the poison ivy all the way up the tree all five trees.) Saw it everywhere in the brush too. And ticks- do not go here without bug repellent everywhere. Ticks are super bad this year. You can avoid mosquitos and enjoy yourself, you can avoid the poison ivy, but the ticks are unavoidable. If you walk the trails or fields, you or your animal will get ticks.

Great place for hiking. Many trails to choose from. Anything from 2-5 miles. Flat terrain too. Many spring blossoms this time of year.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday morning for a hike without picking a trail to do ahead of time. My friend I chose to do the Yellow Trail loop (2.2 miles) because we weren't sure if we wanted to go up to 4 or 4.5 miles, as the other trail lengths were. However, we ended up doing the Yellow Trail twice anyway! I was immediately surprised by how well marked the trails were. With colors and arrows at every intersection or bend, it is almost impossible to get lost on this trail. The trail was pretty flat, so it was more of a nature walk, than a hike, but the trees were beautiful and I enjoyed the walk very much. While we were just here to walk, we were surprised by the amount of campsites along the trail. If this is something you are looking for, Blackbird Forest State Park has you covered! I would love to come back here again and see what the other trails have to offer!

Yelp
The best trails around! I walk these frequently with my dog and always something new to see. There are several different paths to choose from and it's very well maintained. My favorite place to walk!

Yelp
A beautiful forest that we chanced on as our daughter is volunteering at a zoo close by. Very friendly forest officers and beautiful trails - 2.2 miles to 4.5 miles. There are picnic tables out and about and the silence and the forest smell are heavenly. A magical experience.
