Great food! Great everything..,First time and loved it. I took 12 people complicated people for lunch and everyone is ready to go back tomorrow. Big hits were the Chile Verde Fries, Apple Walnut salad with Salmom, Korean Pot stickers and the burgers

Service and experience was great! Friendly host greeted us right away. Our server was nice and attentive. Good was excellent. We were a little cold and they turned off the fan for us and it was perfect. Love this place. Lots of seating a nice ambiance and a real hidden gem in Temecula!

Avoid this place at all costs. One star. We stopped in for two beers on Sat Sept 27, 9:15pm. The bartender inspected our state IDs, then handed them to security. Two minutes later security pulled us outside and told us we had to leave because they believed our IDs were fake. We are well into our 30s. These are valid, state-issued IDs. When we asked why they thought they were fake they refused to say. When we asked them to scan the IDs to verify, they flat-out refused. No proof. No explanation. Just: get out. The bar was nearly empty (maybe eight people), so there was no crowd-control excuse just sloppy, arrogant staff who prefer to insult paying customers instead of doing the job. Management: buy an ID scanner or train your people to check IDs properly, because losing customers this way is on you. We would have been happy to spend money there, but after being treated like criminals with no cause or transparency, we left. If it happened to us, it can happen to you. Avoid.

Great place for the whole family. Came here with two kids and had plenty of options on the children's menu, although the prices were only marginally cheaper than the portions are much smaller. The staff was super friendly and the portions for the regular Andres are fairly substantial. Ordered the salmon lox and the chicken and both were very good. I saw the nachos and the salads at other tables and go-to fomo as they looked massive and delicious. I love the retro antique theme going on throughout the place, and really enjoyed our visit.

Little security guard at the door wouldn't let me in. So I was unable to celebrate a friends wedding at the after party with the rest of the wedding party. I honestly don't know why I was denied entry, but I can speculate...if you catch my drift. I never write reviews (good or bad), but I have to this time. I recommend spending you money elsewhere, especially if you are in a large group of diverse folks.

This place had an amazing atmosphere and very good food. I love the music and the ambiance of the place. Definitely will go again.

Blackbird Tavern is located in the beautiful Old Town Temecula between Riverside and San Diego counties. Because of its location, parking is hard to find. We found street parking up the road and just walked down to Blackbird Tavern. This restaurant is huge and perfect for large groups. A section of their patio has lawn games/toys like cornhole (bean bag toss) and another larger section with two bonfire pits. They also have a stage so I’m sure they have entertainers performing here. Very cool space actually. Inside they have a huge bar and indoor dining. Outside they have plenty of benches for outdoor dining. And plenty of space if you just want to stand or walk around. It has a pretty awesome vibe here with loud but enjoyable music. I’d say that most patrons that were here were around their 30s/40s - and I saw some families dining here too. The food here is pretty good. We ordered a few cocktails and appetizers. The Island Style Ahi Nachos and Spinach & Artichoke Dip were both delicious crowd-pleasers! And the servers were very attentive. He came around many times making sure we got what we needed and asked how the food was. Overall, really awesome place with to celebrate with a group, play a couple games, hang out by the fire pits, drink, eat and be merry!

So we decided to check out the Temecula area and stopped at this place for some food and drinks. I ordered steak, eggs and potatoes. Unfortunately it took a long time to get my food even though it wasn’t busy. Overall the food was okay but the drinks were delicious. The tipsy dragon was bourbon, fireball and lemonade with wooden stick lit on fire. The bar area had a dark theme with tvs for viewing and a huge chalkboard behind the bar. The entrance was open and bright with a fireplace with a deer head.

First time here and we had a great experience. Came for the drinks and lunch for our toddler! I had two of the cosmos which were good while my friend enjoyed a beer, though we wish there was a bigger beer selection. Our toddler loved his cheese pizza and at the end we all shared an ice cream which was delicious! The place is overall really cool and a vibe! The patio was full but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves

Love hanging out at this place, which is not located at the main drag, but on one of the side streets. Relaxing ambiance, good vibes, good food and friendly service. Good drink selection including some signature cocktails such as the neon cactus and the spicy lover. Plenty of seating areas indoor and outdoor. We like the open air design blending the outside with the inside for that unique experience. There are outdoor fire pits to gather around, corn hole game and ping pong table for a good time with friends and family. Highly recommend this place and will bring others here next time we're in Temecula.

Not sure if it was a fluke, but not sure if we'll be returning for dinner. We had a group of 4 on a Saturday night, relatively busy but not enough to wait about 40 min for our drinks. The appetizers were good, the cocktails were REALLY good, but we feel like maybe they were short staffed for service at 8pm? The server was apologetic for the wait, which we appreciated. There were a few large parties with a million kids and I could tell one of the tables was a "lets split the bill a million ways" kind of party so I didn't hold the server down for it. The upsetting part was the salad we received. It did not taste good. Like at all. Maybe it was the overwhelming amount of cabbage or the dressing it seemed to be drenched in that caused the texture to be off? There was also something off about the appetizer fries. It came with a meat and a sauce, but there was something off about the taste, not so much the texture. Overall, I do want to return to the bar area for the drinks, just not sure if I would recommend it for a sit down dinner.

The entire place just hits different- it's got that laid back vibe that makes you want to stay all night, whether you are hanging around the outdoor fire pit, sitting at the bar for lively banter and cocktails or you snag a table to chill with friends, the whole spot is awesome. The staff is friendly and on point, the food is straight up delicious. We devoured our meal, savoring every bite. From the moment you walk in, to the time you leave, it is a whole vibe!

Came here for my nephews birthday celebration and we had such a good time. The atmosphere is very lovely with great outdoor seating, fire pits and games. The food was amazing, I had this curry chicken that was something original to me and some so well. The chicken was juicy and the curry sauce was just perfect. Served with basmati rice. Most of our time was spent drinking and just catching up with family and friends, but we all had a great time. The bartenders were very attentive and they made some great cocktails.

Reserved a private room for Christmas party. 30 people. The ambience and atmosphere was great. The staff was accommodating. But the trays of food provided was surprisingly small. We paid $2000 as a group and only received a small tray of meat. Just be aware if booking for a large group.

Really really cute backyard vibes. Had my 10 year high school reunion here, and it was nice and roomy, it all of us perfectly fine. There's seating on the inside by the bar so you can sit and eat. Drinks were ok. My first two drinks you can taste the juice was not good. Once we let them know the second time they gave us new juice and it was much better, good! They were pretty busy and played pretty good music. I'm more of a 2000's Music so it wasn't so much my style but it was cute :)

I'm always in search of a really good burger... we took a chance stepped inside blackbird Tavern, it was busy no tables available no problem. We'll sit at the bar. We loved it. Steven , the bartender and our waiter took amazing care of us really attentive with a smile on his face. And yes ... the blackbird burger was delicious. I substituted the American cheese for a cheddar jack. It was so good on a brioche bun. We didn't have the bottomless mimosas, but everyone else seem to be enjoying them. It's a two hour limit and you can have as much mimosa as you like and believe me they are not shy with the pours. Super cute property, they've got a huge almost seems like a backyard with games and chairs, and all kinds of places to sit and soak in the day. Great for parties get together bachelor parties family time date night you name it . You can tell this restaurant and tavern is well loved by all .

A little trendy hole in the wall place. Excellent Brunch Menu and drink menu. Everything was excellent. I had the bacon and eggs with potatoes and sourdough toast, all very good. I would have liked a craft jam but toast was very good. Everything was excellent. I would love to come back here if I lived in the area. Very nice and friendly service. Again, great for brunch.

We had such a great experience here! I ordered the Black Angus burger and it was so good, super juicy, perfectly seasoned. My husband got the burrito and he loved it. The service was friendly, the food came out fast, and the whole vibe was cozy and welcoming. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

Love the vibe of the whole place, outdoor seating options are plentiful and love that they have an outdoor bar as well. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable as well as friendly, suggestions were spot on. We had the breakfast burrito and burger with truffle fries, everything was so good. Drinks reasonably priced and waters were constantly refilled our entire time there. We also tried the churros and very yummy. Would love to go back for the nightlife and live music. Will be back

First time trying this place out. Went on a hot day thinking there was AC inside. No! More of an open barn style. They had water misters going but it was still warm! Drinks were nice, cold and strong. Waitress and bartender were both nice, funny and had great suggestions. Bar food was standard. I think this place can probably kick off when it's cooler. If you don't like sweating, go in the evening or when it's cooler. If you like sweating and being in the heat, go in the summer time!

Recently, I met up with one of my women's groups for a gift exchange and late lunch at Blackbird Tavern at 3 PM on a Sunday. We chose the location due to the proximity to some of our group members. It is located in Old Town Temecula, making parking a potential challenge. There were parking lots nearby, but not as close as we would have liked, since many of us were carrying a lot. I was lucky to secure a street space right at the front entrance. At the beginning, the experience was positive. They offered us a large gathering spot on sort of a patio that was located inside the restaurant, near the bar. It was a perfect spot for our group of 12 with our gifts and games. The staff was friendly and offered me help when they saw me pulling a wagon filled with gifts. The restaurant was very spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. Once most of our party had arrived and we started to order, we learned they had no wifi (one lady did not have cell service there), nor would they offer separate or even two or three checks. In addition, there was an included gratuity of 20% for large parties, which, unfortunately, they didn't end up deserving. We sat for at least a half an hour before they brought drinks. However, they were accommodating in that a couple members of our party arrived late. I didn't find a lot on the menu of interest to me, as I was looking for something on the healthier side. I decided on the spinach apple salad with chicken, and dressing on the side. I also chose an iced tea. The salad was large and fresh with apples, cheese, blueberries and pumpkin seeds. It was a bit too much spinach compared to the other items but not bad. The side of dressing was only half full. I realized the salad needed some flavor, and it took a while to get a server so I could get more. Service was generally friendly but slow. They were out of some of the menu items. I think most of our group was generally pleased with their food. I think two big downfalls were the fact that the bathroom was quite fithy. It wasn't crowded so I am unsure as to why it wasn't being cleaned. The other was that it took us about 20 minutes to figure out how to split the check at the end, which really was an unnecessary challenge. All in all, it wasn't terrible, but if I find myself in Old Town again, I will make another restaurant choice.

Blackbird Tavern is a great spot to unwind! Their cocktail menu is fantastic. The appetizers are also a win: tasty, shareable, and perfect alongside drinks. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.

Last Saturday November 1st, we arrived at the bar. The staff were taking shots in the back. Their service was slow and pathetic. You have a MAJOR issue when your employees are stealing liquor and drinking on the job. Check your security cams from 6:45 to about 8:00 and fire your bar staff or go broke. Thank me later.

Came here with a large party which is great that they were able to accommodate us. Nestled right in old town. The vibe is kind of rustic when you walk in and we sat at picnic type tables. We had one server and he was nice. Unfortunately, service was pretty slow. We had some people arrive late and ordered and a few of our groups food still didn't come out. We feel like the order must have been lost because when we brought it up to the bus boy, the waiter came back and said it was coming out. By the time their food came, everyone was pretty much finished, which was a little disappointing. My boyfriend got the steak hash. Eggs were done well; gravy was nice and savory but there seemed to be more potatoes than steak. I had the Blackbird burger that was much more savory. Cooked tender and bun toasted nicely. The food was meh, but the service was really what put this place a 3 star for me. Everyone was kind, it was just slow to respond and frequently mind staff what was asked for that was their downfall.

Great food, drinks and ambiance! We were greeted upon arrival. We chose to sit inside because it was cold but they do have heaters and a huge outdoor patio. Perfect for families and large groups. Servers were attentive and knowledgeable. Fun place, good vibes!!

Me and my best friend went before Mother's Day just to celebrate us as mom's and everything was just great! The customer service was amazing , the food and the drinks were all on point! I will definitely be going back!

I've been going to Blackbird Tavern in Temecula for about five years now--basically ever since I turned 21--and it's hands down my absolute favorite brunch spot in the entire country. Whether I'm hanging out with my friends or having a chill weekend morning with my girlfriend, this is the only brunch place I consider. The food is always fantastic. Every dish I've tried has been on point, and the bottomless mimosas are a must. But it's not just about the food--it's the whole vibe of the place. The outdoor seating is perfect on sunny days, and the atmosphere is always relaxed and inviting. Shoutout to Adrian, the general manager, who's always super nice and makes sure everything runs smoothly. The staff is consistently friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about making your experience great. If you're looking for the best brunch in Temecula, Blackbird Tavern is it. This place has never let me down.

I was intrigued by the steak hash brunch dish. What's not to love about steak, potatoes, eggs and gravy? I did ask that the poached eggs be scrambled and the restaurant easily accommodated my request. I really liked the brown gravy in particular as it added a nice touch to the meal. We sat outside on the patio, which had picnic tables and thankfully some shade sails to protect against the summer sun. There were cornhole sets and it looks like a fun place to hang out when it's not so hot out.

We really enjoyed this place. In the midst of a crowded area, this restaurant, a small walk from the Main Street, is spacious, comfortable and the food was amazing, along with the service. I would recommend for anyone (especially larger parties) looking for a great spot in Old Town Temecula

We hosted a rehearsal dinner at Blackbird and everyone raved about what a great place! We chose the location based on our previous experiences dining there. The food we had was delicious, set up buffet style for our group. We had Caesar salad, Thai chicken salad ( the crowd pleaser), veggie pasta (another fan favorite), garlic & herb steak, which disappeared quickly, roasted potatoes, cilantro lime rice and to top it off, chocolate chip bread pudding.. The staff was great to work with and very attentive during our party. The outdoor area was perfect, offering space and games for all ages. Highly recommend!

Update:Blackbird reached out to me almost immediately after my review. They truly cared about the service I received and wanted to address it, so I will give this place another try in the future. Location is great as well as the ambiance and the food. Came for breakfast and sat at a bar table. We waited at least 10 minutes to be greeted and there was only one other table of patrons, so it wasn't because they were busy. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary to start. The description on the menu says bacon, his did not come that way, so he asked the bartender if he could get the bacon. Man if looks could kill she was not pleased having to walk to the kitchen. She put it on a napkin placed it on the table and walked away. When our food was delivered we had no silverware, after trying to find someone for a sold 5-10 minutes I got up myself and got it. I asked the food runner for sauce that went with the meal, she never came back with it. So much potential to improve here. When you have good food and a good location, a bad employee can crush you.

I had my birthday party here, in August. The communication with the manager Cathy was seamless. The food was delicious. Other than ordering too much food, it was reasonably priced. The bar in the backyard is nice to have when you have a large party and so is the whole outdoor area. It's good for kids as well. Been here other times and it never disappoints.

A stop here almost every time I'm in Temecula. Burgers and chicken wings are my go to. Nice patio outside with a nice fire pit and games.

My husband came across a few of Blackbird's plates on someone's Instagram reel and -instantly- a brunch date was set for our next day off together! We came with reservations made for 1pm on a Friday thinking it'd be busy, but upon arrival quickly realized we may not have even needed it. Aside from us, there were only two other couples there, which didn't bother us one bit as that usually means faster service. We ordered the bottomless mimosas, my husband ordered their recommended burrito and I ordered the huevos rancheros. My plate had just the right amount of heat (spice) and full of flavor! My husband agreed. He ate his burrito so fast I forgot to take a picture but he was content- though not blown away. Only thing I did want to mention as my husband asked me to, is that my plate was brought out first, and stayed that way for a good 5-10 minutes. He just wished we both been served at the same time- and although I did share my plate with him, he just felt as if it would've been nice not to be left without a plate to eat for so long while I was already eating. I will agree- as all guests being served together promptly is usually* the norm for most restaurants. Also, be careful where you set down your mimosa glass on the tables as there are deep crevices in certain areas and my husband learned the hard way when his mimosa glass toppled over when he set it down near one of the crevices and it consequently spilled onto the table and onto him. Overall - the waiter and greeter were pleasant & food tasted great so we would definitely return and try some of their other newer plates!

If you're heading to Blackbird Tavern in Temecula, do yourself a favor and sit at the bar with Brandon. Hands down, he makes some of the best drinks in town--especially his Old Fashioneds, which are perfectly balanced and crafted with real attention to detail. You can tell he takes pride in his work. But what really sets Brandon apart is his customer service. He's always welcoming, super attentive, and genuinely cares about your experience. The best part? He remembers us every time we walk in, like we're old friends. That kind of hospitality is rare these days, and it makes every visit feel special. Brandon is a huge part of why we keep coming back--Blackbird Tavern is lucky to have him!

My friends and I we did a girls trip to Temecula just for fun. One of my friends had a restaurant in mind for us to have dinner. Unfortunately or fortunately they turned us down because we didn't have a "reservation" we end up at Blackbird. Adrian was our waiter and he was so nice. Food was great the place is so much fun. It has so much character. Honestly if we ever go back we are definitely going back to blackbird. Thank you Adrian you were amazing.

Lovely staff, amazing food! Try their apple cider margarita, it has a cinnamon sugar rim. And the Philly steak fries appetizers are fantastic!!!

Cute little spot with outdoor options to dine. We opted to eat inside as we went in the evening and it was cold. The service was ok, took a while for food. The Cesar dressing was pretty bland. Could use more flavor. Would be open to trying to again when I'm in the area.

We came here for team member bonding and it started off great- beer, hummus, brussel sprouts, ahi nachos loaded fries...then wings followed. Not only they forgot to put the order in but when it came- it was super salty. So salty that we couldn't eat it- salt is life to me but brother- that was wayyy too much salt!!! Second- the bathroom- to all restaurant owners out there, please do not neglect this. There was a poopy filled diaper thrown in the women's bathroom trash and the smell was so bad we told one of the servers about it. They cleaned, however, they did not empty the trash so the smell was still there. Three stars for some of the food that were edible but cleanliness also play a huge factor in customer experience.

I came into Blackbird Tavern after a long, exhausting shift, just needing a place to decompress--and Jesse absolutely delivered. Even though he was clearly busy at the bar, he was still incredibly attentive, kind, and welcoming. He took the time to make conversation, served up a delicious drink with a smile, and made me feel genuinely cared for. It's rare to find bartenders who can juggle a busy room while still making each guest feel seen and appreciated. Jesse nailed it. I left with a smile on my face and my stress melted away. I'll absolutely be coming back--and I'll be bringing friends, as long as Jesse's behind the bar. Thank you for turning my rough day into a great one.

They were really crowded but allowed us to use the restrooms which were very clean. The food looked good but the wait was 30 minutes so we ate next door at the cute little Public House which was excellent (see my review). We'll do Blackbird another time.

Made reservations via open table and probably didn't need to since they were seating all the walk-ins. Unfortunately, we went on a day while there was a private event going on in the outdoor lounge area so we didn't get a chance to venture around. But we did see corn hole and other games which was a cool touch! Service was great! But we did see other tables being neglected by their waiter.. so maybe it's a hit or miss here? I ordered a spicy Korean chicken sandwich and it was DELICIOUS! Definitely on the sweeter side which is to be expected. BF loved his pulled pork sandwich too! We had no complaints on the food. The cocktails, on the other hand, were a waste of money. I ordered a blue Hawaiian and it was wayyyy too sweet and tasted like juice. BF ordered a whiskey cocktail and could tell it was made with cheap whiskey. We'd definitely go back, but we'll order beer next time.

I came here for my birthday celebration, and Kathy and Brandon were AMAZING!! Such good ambience here and everyone is so friendly. The food was a 10/10 and I was honestly so surprised! I definitely recommend this place.

Unfortunately, in this hundred degree weather, the AC was not functioning at this establishment. We still had the nerve to sit down and eat there. We could not check into our hotel, so we really didn't have much of a choice. My mom was pouring her cup of ice water on top of her head, I'm not even joking. Ha ha The food server was really nice and the food was really fresh, delicious, and had good size portions. No, I do not normally eat fries, but these fries were crispy and delicious !

Very nice spot for good food, life music, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. We came here on a few occasions and never left disappointed. Our last visit during cinco de mayo and Temecula Road Run show was no different. There were not too many customers in the beginning so we got seated right away. Our waitress came over quickly with some water and took our drinks order. We ordered appetiser not long after. The food was executed very well. Good flavours and fresh ingredients. - Ahi Tuna was fresh and nicely cut into even cubes. Spicy aioli sauce with addition of fresh jalapeño pepper and ginger elevated the dish. - Brussel sprouts with capers and mustard aioli were not over cooked and tested great. If you are looking for well plated and tasting dishes, good selection of drinks, as well as great customer service then give this restaurant a try.

One of my fav spots to go to! This is one of my fav Sunday brunch spots. Love to take my dogs and enjoy the ambiance and food. Service is always pretty good. It's just a place of comfort for us whenever we go

The restaurant is laid back and has potential, but nothing too great from our experience here. The food was bland and overcooked and the staff was just meh. Not very personable and was more into being on their phone and talking with each other then providing service to their customers.

Came by Blackbird Tavern for dinner on a weekend with a large party. Blackbird serves classic American fare, like burgers, salads, etc. I got their strawberry fields salad with chicken, which post-tax and tip, ended up costing almost $30, which I thought was excessive. Around 9pm, the restaurant turns into a club with strobe lights, loud music, a dance floor, etc.

This place is delicious! I got the flat iron steak hubby got the caprese panini... both were fantastic! Their drink menu looked delicious too however no drinks for me! I recommend 100%

I've been here twice and really enjoyed the food and service. The food is kind of expensive but good. I really enjoyed the fried chicken curry.

The food here is garbage. Its a shame because its a really cool location with neat decor, succulents, etc but seriously the food is garbage. I had the spicy chicken sandwich & it was obscenely spicy like they covered the entire piece of chicken in cayenne pepper. I grow my own jalapeños, I actually like spicy food but this was ridiculous. Literally all I tasted was cayenne pepper. My wife got the nachos and they were equally unimpressive. Ironically the nachos were not spicy AT ALL and were like something you might get in a high school cafeteria. We really wanted to like this place but the food is honestly horrible.. They need to do better. We're in old town every week but I don't think we'll ever return here unfortunately.
