The lemonade is a must! It's a place where good lives. Good food and great time are always on the menu. The Nashville hot chicken and fresh cut fries take this simple dish over the top. Add in the service and you've got a local fave dive bar/restaurant. Drinks were solid!

If you love cocktails, this is the place to be. They have a rotating menu of seasonal drinks, and every one I tried was a masterpiece. The bartenders clearly take pride in their craft and use fresh ingredients and homemade syrups. The atmosphere is classy but not intimidating — candlelit tables and soft jazz music. Perfect for a date night or a special occasion.

Always have great food but consistently poor service. Food and drinks always take forever. They always seem understaffed and trying to do too much at once. This last time I had a whole conversation with the bartender about a liquor I used to drink and he recommended a drink with it. He brought me out the drink with no alcohol. I reminded him about the alcohol and he had no recollection it was ordered (after an entire convo about it). He says he puts in an order for my shot so I can add it to my drink. I go up there after at least 10 more minutes and my food being almost gone to ask about it and then he realizes he forgot it again. Then a bartender informs him they don’t even carry the liquor that this whole debacle is about 🤨. Despite their good food I will no longer recommend this place when going out with friends for food.

Really nice ambience one of the better bars in the area. Excellent seating and lighting. Decent music. They only have two beers on tap, hibiscus blonde is good, and they also have a Miller light.

Went for a burger - Blackbook has the best with the absolute BEST FRENCH FRIES!!! We should venture there more. Have had other options on the menu and the flavors put together in all product offerings are fantastic. Oh BTW Dean's a great guy! Works hard to arrive at best food items and preparation. I wouldn't consider the food pricey in today's market place.

This splashy gay bar just screamed Palm Springs to Jamie W and me, even in the middle of the afternoon when we were expecting it to be relatively empty. But no, small groups of aging men in either bright tank-tops or black T-shirts congregated around the tables, and the entire front of the bar was completely open to the balmy desert weather ready for the denizens to be checked out. The beefy bartenders were quite friendly to us, though I heard from a local friend that they can get testy the more crowded it gets. I can well imagine the shenanigans that might occur under a full moon. It's definitely the place to be seen on Arenas. 4.5 stars. A huge group (10+ of us) came here for dinner because the nachos are notoriously delicious, and whoever said that wasn't wrong. These were probably the best nachos I've ever had because they're evenly distributed on a sheet pan and coated in tons of toppings. Loved the carne asada. Super tender and flavorful. I will say service took awhile because they were so busy. I think it was a Friday night. We were lucky to get a table that fit all of us outside on their patio. I didn't personally go inside, but it gave me club vibes. The wait staff here is very good at what they do, managing several rowdy groups at once. I dream about these nachos now!

We grabbed a late night spot at the bar for some drinks after dinner. Sometimes gay bars that cater to men are downright rude to women so we were a little anxious but the fabulous bartenders both put us at ease right away. They were so friendly and helpful and super attentive. They helped me pick a good bourbon to enjoy on a rock and were so helpful to a young guy that came in and asked if they could maybe get food to go. The bartender was totally honest with him and said sometimes they can do TOGO orders if it's not too busy and he ran back to the kitchen to double check. As we chatted with this nice person it became evident that he and his hubby had to pack up their dogs and cherished possessions and flee the LA wildfires. I was so glad they could get some food at least. Check this place out! You'll have a great time.

Blackbook hooked "I'm the only one...Who'll walk across the fire for you!!" This restaurant bar gastropub happy hour haven that has it's doors open (not literally this time of year) from Noon to midnight all 7 days in a week is a place to treat yourself - though now they're open until 1AM Monday through Saturday and until 11PM on Sundays (this might adjust as the weather cools in the late fall). Great music of all kinds, not to mention... Incredible drinks, super service savory eats, shameless sippable beverages and concoctions that will make you want to note B.B. in your little Black book of places you heart more than others. During the cooler seasons in Palm Springs Blackbook's patio is incredible to enjoy and they literally have their large glass doors open for a nice natural air floor whereas now, you strictly want to enjoy the comforts of tall tables, bar seating or some of their other options for having a great experience here. We came into town to have a long extended weekend of fun in celebration of a really good friend turning 32, Cliff. My friend's Adam, Shaun and his husband (also my friend) Carl had a drink or two after some AC shopping on Arenas (Road) where this gem resides. We got to choose are seating and it wasn't too busy yet around 1PM. I knew they had a ton of options, but the vegan and vegetarian ones really swept me away. Garlic Adobo Yuca Fries (sooo many, so delicious), chips, guac, salsa, vegan street tacos, Mediterranean salad and those Mediterranean Sandwich sliders that even my (very non veggie friends) went wild for as I shared a bit, especially my friend Cliff. So many fries on the table, I couldn't believe how filling everything was - some of the guys had the nachos which were a hit - these are all vegetarian, but fun foodie fact you is they have a vegan protein option to top those with aside from carne asada and pollo asada. Would love to see an all plant-based version of their nachos one day as I'm sure it be just as incredible as everything else. My Jack and Coke was crazy delicious and Arenas pour strong. Would recommend Hello Kitty Kitty (vodka based), The Modernist (gin based) and Disco Lemonade for signatures. Full menu of beer, wine, sodas and all sorts of drinkables. We loved our server. He was beyond attentive, considerate and helpful. Reasonable prices, very mindful, very cutesy, very Blackbook.

Fried Chicken Garden Salad, Fries, Cheese Burgers. This bar food is GOURMET bar food!!! It was so good. The fries were super crispy and seasoned perfectly. The bartender and servers always check to see if you need anything! This place is more than just a bar, they have great quality food. The ambiance was great and there are beautiful men EVERYWHERE.

We came back to Palm Springs for the second time in a year, with the intent of trying completely new restaurants..with one exception. We DEFINITELY wanted to come back here. This is the hidden gem for foodies. The nachos are...so good. And the chicken sandwich might be one of the best i ever had. Honestly..we both ordered exactly the same thing as the first time we came because they are that good. Even the fries with the sandwich are A-mazing.

Stop picking and choosing who gets takeout. Came in recently to place a simple takeout order and was immediately met with rudeness from the person behind the bar. Not only did they flat-out refuse to do takeout -- claiming it's "not allowed" -- but then had the nerve to overcharge me compared to what's listed on the menu. Funny how I constantly see those signature white takeout boxes leaving with people they clearly like or know. So which is it? If you're going to offer food, be consistent with your policies. Don't punish some customers while giving others special treatment. You're one of the few spots in this area with a full kitchen open on a Monday or Tuesday -- act like you actually want people to eat here. Rudeness, favoritism, and shady pricing? Do better.

Went here because my coworkers told me it was a good a good vibe with great food and drinks; he was right! The place was really nice, dark w/ ambient lighting. There was also a super cool sign on the wall. Plenty of parking, lively street. They were out of a few beers, and one of the signature drinks. I asked for a Strawberry Lemon Drop. but they weren't able to make it. So I got a blueberry lemon drop (it was a regular lemon drop w/ one blueberry). It was basic but tasty. I also got a blackbook burger, it was so juicy! The bun kept calling apart though. I asked for extra pickles and they definitely delivered. The fries were delicious! The ranch was amazing, BETTER THAN Wingstop! Definitely recommend. Great food, great vibes.

BEWARE OF DOUBLE CHARGES IN YOUR CARD! Unfortunately, they charged my credit card twice. I called them and they acknowledged it but told me the manager will call me to resolve the overcharge. I called again and they acknowledge the error again but said only the manager can resolve it. I'm still waiting for the manager to call me. I had to dispute the transaction with the credit card. Other than that, this is a great place. Great selection of cocktails. Great bar food for dinner. I had the tacos and they were great! Servers are great and the music was very good. Loved the ambiance. They have a front patio / street seating.

My go to spot when in PS. In the arenas area so from food to partying is 10 steps away. The drinks are always on point so is the food. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. The vibe is positive, uplifting and if you sit outside the people watching is on point. Overall a top place to visit.

Always a great time!!! The bartenders are great, super friendly, and make you feel welcome. The crowd is a mix of pregamers getting in a quick drink before hitting up the more dance friendly bars in the area and locals who come here to socialize. I would say it's worth ordering food here because compared to some places nearby, you're actually getting reasonably priced QUALITY food. Blackbook has become a staple in our nights out when we are in the area!

My girlfriend and I came here after coming from Indian Wells looking for food and a good vibe. We got here and had a really nice bartender, Nicholas, that gave us some recs. He was absolutely fantastic throughout the night, staying on top of things and making sure we're fine. We had shared the fries and I had the Lucy burger. If we somehow find ourselves in the area, we will definitely be coming back. For sure, we will let people know to come here.

Cool place but food and drinks add up quickly! We started with beers and a margarita, beers ok, margarita mix heavy and lacking. Moved on to nachos and Nashville chicken sandwich. Nachos done right as the chip to cheese ratio high. Only bummer is they don't have salsa, weird. Would be great addition al heat. Comes with plain jalapenos but not flavorful. Nashville hot chicken sandwich good but needs mord heat. I ordered it hot but was not. The fries that come with it were the best. So, nachos ($17), hot chicken ($17) three beers each for two of us and one margarita. $100 plus tip. Ouch.

So let me set the story. It's a Friday at 5pm. Me and 2 friends at the bar. Got our drinks enjoying fries. Our current bartender is busy. My friend ask the lovely gentleman with the beard and the short shorts and crop top for a glass of soda water. He makes eye contact and walks away. I get his attention and start to ask and guess what, he walks away. Finally 3rd friend gets his attention and we get what we asked for, but with some attitude. Sorry to say maybe paying attention to all customers not just the male ones is helpful. And as I write this I'm at the bar! So WTF!

Let me start by saying that the food here has been very good and consistent. The service is not always so. As a resident of Palm Springs, it is what keeps me coming back- good food/ good service. As someone that is struggling to find full-time work, I squeeze a martini lunch into the budget. Decided to treat myself once again today, 5/5 at about 3:30pm. I always order the same: dirty martini and the provoleta chicken sandwich w/ fries. This sandwich is VERY good. Today I was super annoyed by so many things. First, bartender took my drink order, proceeds to make it, then leaves it at the order pick up area and walked to the back. I was seriously confused. Why not just bring it to me as I was sitting at the bar! It sat there for an extended period of time and had to get a server walking by to get it. 2nd annoying thing is that NOW the sandwich and fries are charged separately- even though the site still reflects the old price including the fries. Not a huge deal, but restaurant should be more responsible in updating their site. 3rd annoying thing is that (for the first time) I was charged $1.50 for ranch. Waited patiently for my food that took longer than usual. When it arrived, the fries were cold and the sandwich bread was not warmed. The portion of fries also differed tremendously from the guy sitting next to me having a burger. My lunch with cocktail was nearly $50. For this, I should've received better food and service. Blackbook, y'all need to do way better.

Food is pretty good- great portions, prepared well and decent pricing. Glad they stayed open later so we could get a decent meal after 10p. I would for sure come back and try something different. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with the provolone and fries. I was very satisfied, I would just be curious to try the fried chicken sandwich or maybe the disco fries.

Brinkley is THE BESTEST. She was very attentive, like a seagull to French fries. The drinks were awesome, like an orgasm. Will definitely be coming back for sloppy seconds.

Beware aggressive and unstable owner and bar staff! After reading some reviews, I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who has experienced this. I've been to some unique places, but this one takes the cake for the most aggressive customer service I've ever encountered. The owner and bartenders are infamous for screaming at customers, and I got to experience it firsthand. Yes, I made the mistake of sitting on the edge of the bar for a picture (not ideal, I admit), but instead of politely asking me to get down, they resorted to yelling and hurling horrendous insults at me. Their approach was unnecessarily aggressive and completely unprofessional. I understand enforcing rules, but there's a way to communicate with customers without resorting to hostility. I decided not to tip then they threatened to call the police! It's no wonder their staff turnover rate is no longer than a few days. This owner is clearly unstable. If you're into being shouted at and humiliated, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, I'd recommend spending your time and money somewhere more respectful. Also super overpriced and not worth it at all.

Great local bar. Good drinks and food with a great patio are fit sitting outside in the sun. Too hot then sit inside with amble air conditioning. Very nice servers.

We were looking for a unique restaurant during our trip to Palm Springs and came upon very positive reviews for Blackbook. I have to say the other reviewers were right and we had a great experience there. We decided to order a couple of their signature cocktails - Johnny Treason and the Buggy Whip. According to our waiter both were quite popular and I can see why. The Johnny Treason was sweet but not too sweet and had a fruity flavor with the offset from the gin flavor. The Buggy Whip was also slightly fruity and full of strong whiskey flavor. I would recommend both! For food I got the Blackbook Burger. The burger was well cooked and nicely flavored - wasn't dry and the ingredients all came together nicely. I would say the burger was excellent but probably not something you couldn't find elsewhere. The absolute killer was the fries. I chose the Garlic Adobo fries and they were the absolute bomb. Normally garlic fries just has lots of garlic. The adobo really adds a different flavor to the garlic and paired quite well. I would go back just for the fries. Ambience was very cool. The staff was friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!

Love this place. I always have the tacos. A little spicy but hey so am I. Paired with a Don Julio it is a perfect light lunch. Love the staff I sit at the bar when I can. Good music and a crowd not consumed by brawn and brains. Just fun fellows and a feel good atmosphere. Lots of u puppies under the tables outside. Reasonable tequila prices and not a sports bar on Superbowl Sunday.

The Blackbook salad is yummy with a nicely understated dressing. Service was amazing, especially given how busy it was. Kudos to all the staff there. Thank you for a great time.

Asked the bartender about food. Told me to find a table and he would send someone over. No one ever came, and was ignored by all the servers who walked by. Never came over or even made eye contact. Went back to pay for my beer, no apologies and still charged $8 for a bud light. Never again.

I friggin love Blackbook. They have amazing drinks and great bar food. The staff is super nice too. The space is modern and well laid out. Usually not too much of a crowd when we go during the day. When we are in town, we either go for lunch and drinks or an early dinner. Food has been consistently good from the burgers to the nachos. Their french fries are delicious. The drinks are excellent too. I usually have a Manhattan or the disco lemonade. Both very yummy. I highly recommend Blackbook if you're looking for an easy place to get food and drinks.

Blackbook has some of the best food in Palm Springs! Everything on the menu is great! My friend insisted on getting the nachos with a vegan patty. OMG! It's was sooooooo good! The flavor from the patty and the nachos go together very well! Their fresh made chips and salsas are also a must try. The kitchen is small and orders can take awhile to come out, so grab a cocktail and chat with friends and enjoy yourself! Staff is always fun and friendly, too! Check it out and enjoy some amazing food and a great atmosphere!

The food is good here, but what shines is the super friendly and wonderful service. Much appreciated. The outdoor bar at the front of the restaurant is a great place to eat if you are alone. Others who sit there are friendly, and it is in the shade. Fun place!

Elevated bar food, excellent selection of spirits, prime location and staff members that provide personalized service. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich is addictive! I have traveled for hours at a time just to indulge myself, and will do it again.

We really enjoyed our recent visit to Blackbook. Sarice our waitress was exceptionally nice, cheerful and had the best suggestions for my Uncle whom ordered the Tacos. Great place to come and get a great burger... The "juicy Lucy" Friendly and efficient service. Good bartenders. Their "Friendo" is one of my favorite cocktails in town.

Best wings I've had in quite a while! The Lucifer BBQ was perfect blend of BBQ sweet n Hot spice. Server was very attentive and we loved the Gastropub atmosphere. Great mixed drink selections!

Went here with friends on a lovely afternoon and sat outside. There was several vegan options. My friends really liked their vegan Mediterranean Sandwiches. My friend liked her vegan burger, the Conscientious Objector, but it is on the soft side like many housemade veggie burgers are. So depends on how you like that. I got the vegan tacos, which has their housemade vegan protein (nice and crunchy chunks that are maybe deep fried?), pickled onion, cabbage, cilantro and a couple other things? For 2 smallish tacos $12 seemed a little steep but they were at least quite tasty. The service was mostly good.

We had heard about how great this place was and we had a wonderful experience! We went to Blackbook for my friend's birthday and at first we were worried that there may not have been a place to sit. The ambiance was poppin'! Great music, great food, great drinks, the atmosphere was spirited without being over the top. The staff was very friendly and patient! My friend has a disability and must use a cane to get around. We wanted her to be as comfortable as possible. There are tables marked for people with disabilities, but they were occupied. We told the assistant manager what accommodations we needed and she was a fellow person with disabilities, so she asked a group to move to a higher top table where they could still be served. We were seated at a comfortable table and were able to enjoy our lovely cocktails: Queen of Desert, Friendo, and the Disco Lemonade were all so good! We are so grateful to the manager and assistant manager for advocating for my friend and making the accommodations that we needed! We can't say enough good things about everyone who was working and we really enjoyed ourselves! Thank you, Blackbook! XOXO

After having drinks most of the day, I definitely needed to munch on some food before continuing on my bar hopping journey. Being that this was probably the most obvious place on Arena's to eat, we opted to check it out! While here we tried the nachos, burgers, and a sandwich. Everyone who was with me really enjoyed the food here. The fries were also pretty good as well. My only complaint was that my friend really wanted to try one of the burgers, but the kitchen had run out of some ingredients for it. The server did a good job at recommending something similar off the menu though. Being that my stop was in the later evening, I thought this place would be a little more rowdy, but it was not. At the time they were playing mostly EDM (which is my favorite music!), so the vibe was perfect! I would definitely come back and recommend other to come check this place out.

The service was so horrible I went to complain. The server I spoke to was on a power trip and threatened to call the police when I said we weren't paying our bill. We haven't received any food after more than 30 minutes even though tables that arrived after us had gotten their food. He followed me to our table and was belligerent. Thankfully the manager came and even though I offered to pay for our drinks (that we had hardly drank) offered to comp those. The food here is mediocre at best (we ate there a week ago) we decided to go back because of location. Good luck if you try this place.

Stopped by here for a cocktail today. Was not expecting much. Turns out I got an amazing drink I hope I can reproduce at home. Furthermore they have a nice quiet outdoor patio apart from the noise of Arenas. Joshua Treason; Junipero Gin, Lilet Rouge, Fresh Lemon, Honey. Fabulous drink. Never expected a flawless 5 star cocktail. Enjoying it now and almost ready for round 2! Recommended'

I always heard about this place and then I was finally able to check it out. Got here in the morning and wanted something sweet. The menu was cool because they have French toast that looked fancy. I couldn't believe how delicious the french toast was!!! Oh and the sauce that is used on the french toast is amazing!!!!!! The drinks are great and they can make you anything you want. This is going to be a permanent spot when I want a delicious breakfast and a good drink!!!

Loved the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich. We split it and had a side of their fantastic fries. We were totally full when we left. (we did take some dum dum lollipops they have in a big bucket) The service was spectacular, the bartender and waiter were very friendly I'm not a fan of stools and high tables (which is all this place has indoors, like a bar) but it was worth it for the entire experience
