BlackBrick Apartments - Sandton.

Enjoyed my time here, booked for 2days and I was early, they managed to accommodate me until check in(bags in Reception and I sat by the restaurant and checked in maybe an hour or so before). Met a wonderful waitress by the name of Salo😊. They had renovations when I booked so it was bit noisy in the room so I worked in the restaurant with great atmosphere. Their menu in the restaurant does not have lot of options but you won’t go hungry, there were 1/2 vegetarian dishes. Across the road there’s 1/2 places I could go grab something. The place is not far from Sandton city so there’s really more options there.

My experience with black brick is horrible I’ve never experienced such treatment and with any hotel before, I stayed in black brick for a month I booked a room and when I got there the told me someone had occupied it they put me in a different unit for 3 days then moved me to another room on the 3rd day. I was on the apartment unit so I paid deposit I’ve moved out not it’s been 2 weeks and the manager there hasn’t paid back my deposit yet the owner on the unit I was in has sent it to his account he is not picking my calls nor saying anything I’ve tried reaching out to alternatives even the other manager none of them is willing yo help me . And it’s not that they not paying because I broke something or whatsoever only God know why the manger Terence is refusing to pay me back my money .They are so unprofessional and don’t care even the services there are not pleasing but I couldn’t care less about that however they are giving me scammer vibes when it comes to the apartment .I highly do not recommend them unless they change their stuff especially they mangers. I am not happy with this at all and I need my money back! Jokes on me I should’ve read the reviews before considering them cause they ain’t pleasing also

I had a fantastic stay at Black Brick Sandton over the weekend! The place was spotlessly clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is absolutely perfect—everything I needed was just a short distance away, making it so easy to get around. Whether you're visiting for work or leisure, this place is a great choice. I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

⭐ 1 Star I am absolutely appalled by the treatment we received from Black Brick. We have been paying for a room directly to Black Brick since May 2024, and now, at the end of January 2025, their true colors have shown. Initially, they were more than happy to extend our stay until February 15th, as long as we continued paying them directly. However, the moment we signed a lease agreement for an apartment, everything changed. Suddenly, we were "not allowed on the premises." How is it that they were able to accommodate us for weeks when we were paying them R22,000, but the second we secured independent accommodation, they conspired against us? They fabricated a story, claiming we were rude to all staff -conveniently after we signed the lease. Additionally, just 30 minutes after kicking us out, I received an email from Black Brick offering me a club membership. So, they don’t want us on the property unless we’re paying them directly? Their greed is disgusting. I have emails to prove everything—how they manipulated the situation to ensure that unless money flows straight into Black Brick’s pocket, they will find an excuse to remove you. This is not how a professional establishment should operate. Avoid Black Brick unless you want to be exploited and disrespected.

Review of Black Brick Hotel and Apartments The location of Black Brick Hotel and Apartments is excellent, with easy access to major shopping centers and public transport. Security is fairly good, with access control in place, making it a relatively safe stay. Connecting with Gautrain and Uber is convenient, with short wait times. The hotel itself has a minimalist, industrial design, but the color scheme feels uninviting and gives off a deserted atmosphere. While the room met basic needs, comfort was lacking—especially the bed, which consisted of two single beds pushed together, making for an uncomfortable sleep. Essential amenities like a TV remote, towel rail, and hairdryer were missing. The television was placed far from the bed, and though Netflix and Disney+ were available, getting a remote was a hassle. One of the biggest drawbacks was the lingering smell of smoke in the room, which was quite unpleasant. However, the air conditioning was a much-needed relief. Overall, while the location and accessibility are strong points, improvements in comfort, amenities, and ambiance would enhance the experience significantly. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)

I would most definitely visit the black brick again. The rooms were amazing and the ladies at reception were very helpful and sweet.☺

The rooms weren’t cleaned well. When I mentioned it, I was told they would do better, but they were the same. The safe was not secure. I didn’t fill comfortable using it. The restaurant was the highlight of my stay. The male server was well informed and quite nice and helpful. He gave us great recommendations on what food to eat. I would definitely come back to eat at the restaurant but I would not stay at Black Brick one again.

I recently had another fantastic stay at the Black Brick 2 Apartments—my third visit, and I enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay by an extra day. The staff is incredibly warm and helpful, making the experience truly pleasant. The facilities are top-notch, with a well-equipped business hub, a delightful restaurant, gym and a cozy bar. If you're in Sandton, this is the ideal place to stay. I will definitely be visiting again in the near future!
