The 22 Best Restaurants in Marrakech, Morocco - Eater

"As the city becomes home to a growing population of immigrants from several countries in West Africa, Blackchich is one of several restaurants reflecting Senegal’s culinary influence on Morocco. The medina restaurant’s mix of Senegalese and Moroccan dishes makes it a good option for lunch, dinner, or anytime you might like mafe yappou nague (beef in peanut sauce) served with rice and vegetables. The cafe also serves tartines topped with fresh ingredients like goat cheese, hummus, and a variety of vegetables. [$ - $$]" - Amanda Ponzio-Mouttaki

We wanted to try something different and found this restaurant. They only take cash so beware. The view was nice and the service was good. We’ve enjoyed the hibiscus juice and it was refreshing. I ordered the Kenyan curry — it was flavourful and nice, it was more on the saltier side though. The salad with the chicken tender was also nice and refreshing. Never had string beans cold before! My friend ordered the camel burger — the chips were nicely fried. I’m not sure what i was expecting but I expected a bit more with the camel burger. It was just not that special but was just a decent burger. Would recommend to those who wants to try something different during their stay.

Nice place, good food but I expected abit more spice! I had the Black Camel burger and the missus had some chicken tenders. But were good. Camel was as expected a bit gamey, remington abit about moose. Overall a good experience i could easily recommend. 355 Dh for black camel burger, chicken tenders, pomegranate juice and 2x coke zero. Not bad at all!

Absolutely delicious food. We had the Kenyan curry and the Jamaican ramen, both had such unique flavours and were completely different but so great. Would highly recommend. We loved the outside terrace’s decor, music and atmosphere. Staff were also so lovely and welcoming. Very sad that we came here on our final night otherwise we would definitely have come back!

Excellent food with real depth of flavour. I had the “salade chicken BFC” - not actually what I would call a salad as the greens were all cooked - and my companion had the Yassa Poulet. We both enjoyed the food and the rooftop atmosphere and I’ll be sure to eat here again on my next visit to Marrakech. Five stars 🤩

The worst food we had in Marrakech. Blend, no salt, no flavor, cold and overpriced. After the waitress asked us how the food was, we told her that the food lacked flavour and salt, her response was that "you know, not many people want their food salty so we give them salt after if they want", to which I would like to add that after I put some salt in my plate the salt was the only flavor the food had. Oh, and the mint tea was also terrible. I give one stars for the view.

I took a break from the hustle & bustle of Marrakech's Derbs and had lunch here. Best choice, great food and very friendly service. Clear recommendation!

Google
Absolutely delicious food here and a stunning rooftop with great sunset views. Service was very friendly. Only drawback is they are cash only and was not notified of this despite booking my table - nowhere on the confirmation or reconfirmation did it state this which would have been good to know in advance. Not fun trying to navigate the souks alone at 10pm on only our second day there which my partner waited at the restaurant!

We came to this restaurant twice, would definitely recommend the Mafe Boeuf and Kenyan red curry, was full of flavour and the beef was tender. We then had the orange peel brownie which was lovely, our waiter was very kind and provided great service. The decoration was very nice and with a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely somewhere worth trying in Morocco for something a bit different!
