We had a truly memorable evening at Blackitch, and it deserves every bit of praise.
Our host, Mei, was outstanding. She introduced each dish with elegance and clarity, explaining not only the flavours but also the origins of the ingredients and how they reflect Northern Thai cuisine. Her storytelling added so much depth to the experience—it felt thoughtful, intentional, and deeply respectful of the food.
The standout dishes were the fish cake with lotus element, which was beautifully balanced and delicate, and the green tea ice cream dessert with yuzu coulis, which was fresh, refined, and the perfect ending to the meal. The Thai wagyu main was also incredible—rich, perfectly cooked, and paired beautifully with the condiments and rice.
This tasting menu felt curated rather than performative: seasonal, local, and confident without being flashy. You can really feel the care that goes into every plate.
If you’re interested in elevated Northern Thai cuisine with heart, precision, and warmth, Blackitch is absolutely not to be missed.
