The seltzers are available for onsite consumption or to-go, but note that BlackStack doesn’t allow customers to mix THC and alcohol, and there’s a 20-milligram limit for onsite consumption." - Ryan Meaney

Google
Visited BlackStack Brewing recently and had a pretty solid experience overall. The place is huge and set in a really cool building that gives off a great first impression. Inside, the ambiance is welcoming and relaxed—lots of seating, a good layout, and the added touch of plants really brings some life to the space. Tried a beer flight and ended up enjoying 3 out of the 4 beers. Local 755 was the standout for me—I’m usually not a fan of hoppy beers, but this one hit just right. Also really liked Final Fantasy 4 and Uncut Jams (a strawberry rhubarb sour that was refreshing and unique). The only one that didn’t really do it for me was Wasting Away, a Mexican lager that felt a bit too standard. They also bring in food trucks pretty often and host events, which is a great bonus if you’re looking for more than just drinks. Biggest downside: parking. It’s a pain. There’s no decent parking area nearby, which can be frustrating, especially on busier days. Overall, if you’re into craft beer and cool vibes, BlackStack is definitely worth checking out—just be prepared to hunt for parking.

Google
This place phenomenal. Aside from the "off the charts" brews, which alone are worth the trip. The atmosphere is incredible. My bartender was Molly and after she left two other very very kind ladies. They all just knocked it out of the park. I really really enjoyed it here. Great great beer, great atmosphere. An absolute winner in St. Paul. I hope someday to return.

Google
The beers and selection are a six out of five stars. Superb. What holds back a star for me is the parking lot is tight and a bit small and getting here isn't my favorite area to visit being a suburb dweller. But once inside it is such a huge and well decorated space with tasteful decor and trees in large planters plus many many large TVs. But those beers..... so amazing. And excellent friendly service at the bar as well. They do flights of both 4 and 6. Their six pence none the richer quad ipa at 12% alcohol must be tasted! Sweet but so good. I'll be back for sure..... in daylight.

Google
What a cool place! Lots of room to sit and play games (which there are a ton to choose from). They had a food truck when we were there. Their merchandise was really neat! I had their strawberry rhubarb sour, always a hit. BlackStack is connected to Can Can Wonderland. Their parking lot is very small, we had to park about 3 blocks away. I wouldn't recommend driving a large vehicle here.

Google
My husband and I visited for the first time this past week, after having had over 100 of their beers from our local Wisconsin liquor store. As much as we liked it before, we love it even more now. The staff couldn’t have been better. The atmosphere was great. And the beer was delicious as always. A top notch brewery, which we look forward to visiting many times again!

Google
Huge taproom, with a lot of seating options including round tables for bigger groups. A lot of beers on draught, their IPA were great. It worth a visit for any beer enthusiast.

Google
Consistently good. The worst beer I drank at Black Stack was better than most of the beers I drank elsewhere in the city. Fugazi 🤌 I regret not picking up a 4 pack. Routine and Just what the Doctor ordered were both also great. Although the latter was a thick in flavor for a full pour for me. Uncut jamz was also very good. Parking was a nightmare. I recommend getting a ride and taking the opportunity to drink a little extra

Google
Really liked this place. The facility and atmosphere is cool, and the beer was a little above average. Food truck (brick oven pizza this day) was really good. Sampled a couple IPAs, which were good.

Yelp
BlackStack by default. But what a default it was... So we went for Can Can Wonderland- in the same building. But holy Crap a 2 hour wait for mini-golf and at that the place would be closed. FAIL! This royally agitated me. I have never heard of such a wait for mini golf. So with two other adults who like beer, my kids were just as happy playing pinball and board games at BlackStack. I was happy they had pull tabs!!! The eclectic couch look always gets me, so many options for comfort- love it. The two beer drinkers both agreed they had good beer. No food but a pizza food truck outside and they sold some magical gummies at the front counter. Interesting BlackStack, Interesting... True score: 3.5 (They should get their own food going here.)

Yelp
My girlfriend and I have been to dozens of breweries over the years, mostly in NJ where we are from, so we're no strangers to beer and its many varieties. We both loved it here, both the space and the different beers they offered. We came with a big group on a Saturday night. It was pleasantly crowded but not overwhelming, and we found seats easily. We had a few kids with us and they loved the gigantic wall of board games on offer, which kept them occupied for our whole time there. The adults tried just about every beer on the menu and found several that we enjoyed. I particularly enjoyed the More Than Just a Phase (DIPA) and the Fugazi (Italian Pilsner). In addition to the nice variety of beers, they also have a selection of THC seltzers. The facility is enormous with high ceilings, big windows, a long bar, hockey projected on the wall, and a nice view of the tanks and equipment. The plants everywhere also add a nice touch. If we were local we would definitely be regulars here.

Yelp
Blackstack is one of my favorite breweries in the cities - it's spacious and inviting, plus I love all the plants. There's outdoor and underground parking, but parking underground can get a little tight. All the staff is super kind and help, even at a crowded bar service was quick. I tried their Real Trees THC seltzer, and it was absolutely delicious! I also appreciate that you can't mix THC & beer at this place, keeps everyone safe. Will definitely be back to enjoy more drinks here!

Yelp
There was so much to love about BlackStack Brewing and I'm so grateful we chose this brewery to explore while in the area. First of all I'll say we kind of stumbled upon BlackStack as we planned on visiting Can Can Wonderland and they are conveniently located in the same building. There are a few things that make this brewery stand out but looking back the most impressive thing was the size and ambiance of the space. This tasting room is MASSIVE. Think airplane hangar big. What I loved about it though, is that aside from there being ample space to hang out they've made it really cozy with tons and tons of live plants, and a massive shelf of games to borrow while you're there. Its kid friendly too and I think dogs might be welcome - but I'd double check their policy on that before you commit to bringing any furry friends. The only drawback is that on the day we were there they had a spot that was designated as the place to order your beer and there was a long line, BUT there were still folks ordering at the bar which made it confusing and also a bit frustrating if you were in line, like they asked you to be. The bartenders were all nice though, and the beer tasty. Overall this is a great brewery if you're in the Twin Cities and I'm sure we'll someday return!

Yelp
This is a great brewery to catch a game at, meet up with friends, or have a date at. They have kept and exposed the architecture original to the building and updated it with mid century modern furniture and vibe which I find really appealing. There is a huge selection of tabletop games available for use. My wife and I chose "Spynet" to play for the first time and had a great time. There was a knitting club that was meeting in the couches next to us. A number of people came to watch the NCAA basketball tournament after leaving the hockey tournament at the X. You order at the bar and then take your drink to any table you want. There is plenty of seating options available. Service is fine for what it is. The bathrooms are not great - gives murdered in an old school building vibes. Oh, and you know, their beer is good and they have THC and NA beverages as well so everyone can find something for them. The beers all have fun names too, as required.

Yelp
What a fun brewery! They are super family friendly and have so many drinks to offer, way more than beer! Yes, they have lots of different kinds of beer, for sure! They also have hard seltzers, fun adult smoothies, and homemade root beer! I also saw a selection of canned sodas for sale, too. The staff behind the bar serving drinks seem to be a bit overwhelmed at popular times of day and not very conversational or proactive in talking about what is offered, which is kind of a bummer. They give off a vibe of "just give me your order, pay, and go away, thanks" - maybe it was just that day? Not sure? Also, parking is annoying, lots of driving around to find a spot. Overall, I'll go back because of the drink choices and all the seating options/room - oh and the food truck that's there, but it's not my first choice of brewery.

Yelp
Located next to cancan Wonderland, this place is really easy to find. They have a small parking lot in the front but also lots of underground parking. If you can't find anything up top. Walking in is pretty self-explanatory with bar straight ahead with menu posted on the bar. Tasteful music is a paid jukebox option as well. This is a brewery so there are plenty of beer options. They also have a couple THC beverages and seltzers. The staff were very friendly and I felt comfortable asking for a recommendation. Lots of table, seating, bar, seating, and couch seats as well. This place is really good for groups. I also learned that they have a rotating food vendor outside every day. I will consider coming back to this brewery in the near future to try different beverages.

Yelp
Great location, underground parking, and good drink options. I've been a few times and enjoyed myself. I think how they have THC infused options and adult slushes options too which is nice. I like how they have some featured/season beer options that they collaborate with other local breweries. Main reason why I'm not giving BlackStack a 4 or 5 is because I think there are just better breweries in the Twin Cities. By better I mean more drink options and outdoor seating. The space is pretty nice and spacious but the last few times I was there- there were a small fly problem which was a bit annoying but fine. Can can wonderland which is next door also has some food and drink options. Wish they had more food options but they do have a good trunk calendar.

Yelp
One of our favorites if not my hubby's all time fav MN brewery. What a cool space with huge ceilings, a huge tv (usually showing sports) and plants everywhere. Lots of tables and comfy couches and chairs. Great selections of beers and other non beer options. The beer have fun names and great labels. They also have fun merchandise if you want to rep the brand. The staff are friendly and will provide recommendations. Check it out!

Yelp
I could have sworn I wrote a review for BlackStack Brewing and I went back many pages of my reviews to see if there was review somewhere but alas there wasn't so I guess I will rectify that now. I have had BlackStack a few different times and to be honest it isn't exactly one of my most favorite breweries for the Minneapolis/ St. Paul metro area. I wanted to like it more than I did but after having the beer on more than one occasion and trying different ones I wasn't exactly bowled over with my beer experiences with this brewery. I have had their Triple New England IPA, the Dad's Stoked. This beer I actually liked better than some of the others I have had with it's juicy and tropical flavors this soft textured and 10.5 % ABV beer is probably what I am most fond of with the beers that I have tried from this brewery. I also had the Sponge Bath, another New England IPA and while the citrus and dry flavors were appealing it did not remain memorable for me. The same goes for the Barely Street Legal New England IPA and the Link In Bio New England IPA. The citrus and fruitiness isn't bad with these two but again, just not all that memorable unfortunately. Perhaps the issue was I kept getting New England IPA's and despite trying several different beers they were all the same beer style so perhaps exploring their lagers and pilsners would have been more my speed. Quite a few other Yelp reviewers seemed to have liked this brewery and gave it pretty high marks so perhaps diverging away from the one beer style is what would have been needed but I usually go with the idea in my mind a brewery that excels and is highly successful in their recipes it doesn't really matter what beer style you pick.

Yelp
Adorable! We stumbled here on a Can Can Wonderland day as they share the same warehouse building. Conveniently located in Paul near Menards, there is a parking garage, a small open parking lot and then a parking lot across the road. All lots are free which is a huge win. Inside BlackStack get ready to get transported from the dark warehouse into natural lighting, large walkways, clean exterior, luscious green plants, and varying tables to play board games and enjoy a cocktail or two at. Bonus: try a boozy slushee. The service is quick as you can order from any bartender and they will serve you kindly. Additionally, there is always one food truck on site daily so be sure to check the website and navigate to the calendar so you can plan a great day to pair your beer or cocktail with delicious food. There are even a few large exterior picnic tables should the weather cooperate to sit outside and if so, you can even bring your doggie. So much fun! Can't wait to return.

Yelp
BlackStack Brewing is a beautiful brewery located above the ever-popular Can-Can Wonderland. As a result, this place can get pretty crowded from parents seeking a break from all the chaos of the arcade next door, as well as people like me who decided the wait for mini-golf was too long and went here instead. Parking for this place can be a huge nuisance, same as Can-Can, there is a tiny parking lot/garage immediately outside that can leave u trapped for a while if there aren't any spaces. I recommend just accepting a long walk and parking a few blocks away to avoid that level of mayhem. When we went inside with our rather large group, we were able to snatch a table and pull some chairs and bam we were able to accommodate the whole group. The brewery sells one thing and one thing only: beer. At the time we went, there was a small pop up selling empanadas, but the brewery's menu itself is quite small, offering a few different beers and little in the way of food barring a bag of chips. For me, as a beer hater, I was hoping to have a seltzer or anything beer-y, but they unfortunately had no options like that. As a result, I tried to go with the least beery beer I could find - the cherry pie beer. It was one of the better beers I've tried for sure, despite hating beer, I'd say this one wasn't half bad. It was a bit sweet and had an almost smoothie sort of texture. Overall, nice place to grab a beer, wish they offered a tad more options though!

Yelp
Great spot. Delicious beer. Counter service. A lot of seating options. Food truck out front. Parking can be interesting. I got the last spot in the free underground parking garage. Semi-hipster kind of feel. Lots of board games to play. Quite a few large plants add to the ambiance

Yelp
Didn't have time to sit down and enjoy the taproom but it looks spacious and nice. They have a nice location and right next door is Can Can Wonderland. I took home crowlers of their kolsch and double IPA. Kolsch: nice and light. Double IPA: very nice flavor with a smooth after taste

Yelp
I've only been here once, but I can already tell it's going to be one of my favorite breweries! They have a great selection of drinks so you can find something whether you prefer sours, IPAs, or THC seltzers. We also loved the pizza truck out front! All of the plants give it such a welcoming vibe to hang out in, and there's plenty of seating. They have an outdoor and indoor parking lot, but be aware that the indoor lot is pretty cramped.
google avatar

Tracey F.

Yelp
Enjoy the beer and now they have THC Seltzer and boozy slushies! I tried a slushy last night after not being enthralled with the beer choices (typical summer beers aren't my thing). The slushy was good. Another in our group had one also and thought it had a funny taste but I think they are made with beer so they're going to have that flavor. The worst thing was getting trampled over from people walking through the space we were sitting rather than going around. That got old fast so we didn't hang out long.
google avatar

Isaac S.

Yelp
Can you name a brewery that covers all the styles as well as Blackstack in the metro? I can't. Amazing ipas, great Pilsners, and a variety of whatever else you want. Cannot recommend the Johnson family and their staff enough. Amazing service and a solid group of folks. This space also works great for groups up to 200, we hosted an event here last fall.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
If you're a fan of hazy IPAs, you should definitely be a fan of BlackStack. I'll be the first to admit to being skeptical of the hazies when they first started hitting the market years ago, but I have since seen the error of my ways and am now all in. Fortunately, BlackStack makes some of the best around (they also have a very strong sour game). The brewery itself is spacious, filled with all kinds of plant life and low-key. It's also adjacent to CanCan Wonderland, often has a food truck on site and has plenty of parking. BlackStack is up there with the best of them when it comes to breweries in the Twin Cities.

Yelp
Really like this place. When I say this is the brewery for board gamers I mean it, just look at the photo included in my review. So. Many. Games. All for your choosing and any game you can think of they had. What I love about this place is that it is a lovely board game friendly brewery but ALSO with very cool vibes. Lots of bright light and beautiful greenery everywhere you look. Very tall ceilings that make the space even bigger. They had one big projector screen for sports games but the rest of the space has lots of tables and couches and a bar area. I'm not a beer drinker myself so I didn't love their non alcoholic selection wasn't huge, but hey- I'm all about the hangs at the breweries and this place is a good time. My husband did enjoy his beer though :) They have a lot, but when it's crowded the parking is somewhat limited- we were able to find a spot not too far on the street. It also appeared they normally have food trucks outside to grab a bite and bring in. We went on a Friday night and nothing was open, but did see several people ordering food and having it delivered to the brewery. Interesting concept to me but cool that they allow it!
google avatar

Nicole N.

Yelp
Some coworkers and I went to puzzle works for an escape room (highly recommend) and then came over here for a beer! All four of us had different beers and they were all tasty! Not sure what to order? They did an awesome job at making recommendations! The vibe is very cool with all the plants, big TV wall and shelves of board games! Possible pro or con, (depending on who you ask) kids are welcome here. We saw plenty of kiddos while we had our beers. There was a pizza truck outside during our visit and it sounds like other trucks come by depending on the day. There is plenty of seating! There are also multiple parking lots in the area across the street, to the right of the building and street parking! This would be a great spot to hang out with friends, a first date or family date with kids that are old enough to play the games too!
google avatar

John O.

Yelp
Top 5 Brewery Top notch IPAs and sours Should go more often Blackstack might even be top two for Twin Cities breweries depending on the day. It is neck and neck with here and Barrel Theory. Their beers are a little bit spendy, but you get what you pay for. The Ken Burns series is ridiculously good. Fruity Berliner sours with rotating flavor profiles. They are also always cranking out new DIPAs and TRIPAs that pack a punch. Now that COVID is over, I hope to get here to the taproom much more often.
google avatar

Nate B.

Yelp
Some of the best beer in the Twin Cities. Very cool tap room with tons of natural light and plants everywhere. Staff have been great on my visits, very friendly and welcoming. Many ipas on the draft list, but they also have other offerings such as lagers, stouts, and also real foeder sours (sometimes with tons of fruit adjuncts added, sometimes more traditional). Just a great place that I recommend to everyone and bring out of town friends to.
google avatar

Yelp
It took me a long while to finally get in to Blackstack....the small always full parking lot was intimidating. Until a friend said you could park inside and under, the shared Can Can lot. Once I decided it would be easiest to go in on a weekday @ their 2p open, I was hooked! Every visit I've had delicious beer and friendly staff!! Kind and knowledgeable staff; once when building a flight I told her I have been liking tripels, she kindly informed me the one I was opting for doesn't drink like a tripel. I opted for it anyways since it was a small pour and she was right. It wasn' t a bad beer but it drank like a regular IPA, she saved me from being disappointed w the heads up. I like going in in the early afternoon; tends to be only a few others there and it gives me a chance to chat up the staff about the beers as I build a flight. This also seems to be the brewery I run in to the most friends. I like the location of Blackstack, there are three four more breweries all within in a few miles. Definitely don't pass up on Blackstack!
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
I was in town with several friends and this place was on the list to visit. Great beer and really friendly service. There was plenty of room to spread out and some of the seats were comfortable, others we the hard medal chairs. Worth a visit!

Yelp
Black stack is such a cool space - the place is huge and plants everywhere and large tv on one wall. The plants always put me in a good mood and it's especially great during winter. The beers themselves are good - they do have mainly IPAs there so if you are not a fan, you won't have a huge selection to choose from. While I love blackstack, parking around here is kinda of a nightmare. They do have underground parking, however, that is shared with Can Can wonderland which is always extremely busy on the weekend.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere conducive to chatting with friends. I would recommend Blackstack to colleagues and visitors to the area. The Beer and food are interesting and tasty.
google avatar

Raney P.

Yelp
I just turned 21 and never been to a brewery, but the staff were so helpful explaining everything to me. The only thing I didn't know is that you have to pick between alcohol or THC seltzers, you can't have both, but I totally understand the regulation and it doesn't impact my review. Place was set up well and the drinks were good!
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Ok I think I found my new favorite brewery in the twin cities. I got their "Read the Room" sour and WOW. Seriously my new favorite sour, I could have had two more glasses of it. The prices are also pretty cheap so that makes it even better. The service was awesome and quick. They had trivia going on the night I stopped by and whoever was the announcer/moderator killed it. He was soooo funny and really knew how to work the room. I'll definitely be going back for trivia. The ambiance is also amazing. Tons of plants, nice mood lighting, and lots of fun places to sit. Plus, they have a ton of board games you can play so that was fun. Seriously an awesome spot I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good beer.
google avatar

Brianna C.

Yelp
So cute! We stopped here on the way out of town and it was so cool to see such an active place. They had a makers fair and food truck on the day we arrived. The place was humming with folks, but it was easy to find a comfortable spot. The beer was delicious and the vibe was just right.
google avatar

Bill H.

Yelp
I like to hop around alot of the Twin Cities breweries and this one is pretty great! The beers are decent, like alot of the Twin Cities scene there's alot of IPAs on tap, I kind of wish they had a few more sours or less hoppy beers on the menu but the ones they do have are definitely worth a try. There's plenty of games that you can grab and play with friends, and Can Can wonderland is right downstairs so make sure to swing by for a pint on your way in or out!
google avatar

Marsha G.

Yelp
We are traveling across country to the east coast. We stopped in St Paul to see the Capital and decided to try this brewery. We walked into a nicely designed industrial seating area. Behind the serving bar are the brew kettles. There are games on racks against the wall thatencourage people to relax and stay for awhile. The music playing was mellow Motown. My husband ordered a Side of Ranch American Lager and I ordered the Local 755 House NEIPA. The Local 755 is one of their first brews 5-years ago. I really enjoyed our visit.
google avatar

Ryan P.

Yelp
Really cool space with really heavy beers and lots of games out for the kids so it was tough to nail down their vibe. The beers had awesome names and some of them didn't taste too bad, service was hit or miss - they seemed to know the nice people would tip and the bad crowd wouldn't tip no matter what so they keep on being them. Do not do the pull tabs here it's a lot tougher to figure out a system with theirs
google avatar

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Fun selection of beers at a super reasonable price! Bartenders were knowledgeable and gave great recommendations when asked. The atmosphere was great- very open and light. The food truck outside was a nice bonus. As soon as we go there we saw folks with cards and board games- something we'll certainly do in the future! We just moved into the area and look forward to future trips to BlackStack!
google avatar

Sue S.

Yelp
This is such an odd location - if it feels like you're driving into an industrial park, then you're in the right place! The room itself is huge and very spacious, with huge high ceilings, big garage door type windows and an open vibe. Our friends and I had a good time guessing what the space used to be (anyone know)? Bonus points for the giant wall of board games to play with! We saw many tables partaking. The brewery itself is pretty standard operating procedure... order where the big sign says order, wait till a friendly barkeep pours your brew, find a table. I will say that while there were tons of tables and other comfy loungy options with chairs and sofas, I wished there were more two or four-person tables. Our part of four ended up taking a table that could have sat eight easily. It felt wasteful and the table was so big that we were shouting at each other to be heard. The beer itself was good. I got a milk stout that was very good. My husband tried a couple of really tart sours that he just loved. I would definitely come back and will look forward to trying something new.
google avatar

Ryan D.

Yelp
Decent place to get a beer. Very busy the Saturday afternoon I was here. Close to standing room only despite the size of the place. Beers are reasonably priced. My only complaint is the lack of variety. It seems that almost all of what they offered was IPAs and Sours.
google avatar

Shay N.

Yelp
I have always loved BlackStack as a brewery but they recently have started serving coffee in the mornings and what a game changer !!! the space is often times packed during the evening hours but in the morning it is pretty quiet and has so much seating!! The space is bright and open & has the best vibe. I got the caramel iced latte & I would definitely recommend

Yelp
My wife and I were in St. Paul and just had some BBQ at Bark and the Bite and I noticed this brewery a mile away. It is huge and right next door to the Can Can Wonderland mini-golf place. We took a look, it looked pretty cool. A big bar, mini-golf, lots of pinball. The brewery is HUGE! Way bigger than I thought they needed for volume, but I am guessing they will grow. I ordered the Thunder Lizard IPA. Super good. Not crazy hoppy, but great. Bartender was great and my wife ended up buying a shirt and I of course got my stickers! We also took a crowler home! Thunder Lizard!

Yelp
Three of my friends and I went to Blackstack Brewing on a Friday night. There is not a lot of parking if it is a busy night but for some reason it was quiet on this particular Friday. Blackstack has a ton of seating and lots of space to offer to its guests. The environment of Blackstack is cozy and fun. They offer lots of board games, a big screen for TV, and many large plants to admire. If you enjoy IPA's then Blackstack brewing is your place. However, as a non IPA drinker I was at a loss when it came to order a drink. They had one sour on the menu and that is what I got. To me the drink seemed like a dry apple cider which they labeled as a sour but it was still good. They also offered the sour in a slushee form which I enjoyed as well. My friend who enjoys IPA's says this is his FAVORITE brewery but, this is my review and not his. I would go to Blackstack again for the atmosphere but not for the beer.

Yelp
A great brewery that I've been able to go to a couple times with some coworkers for happy hour. It is quite spacious and can easily accommodate large groups (the largest I've gone with was 14 people). The service is great, the staff were friendly and welcoming, as well as giving solid recommendations. There are also board and card games available, which is something nice to have for socializing over some good adult beverages. Also, there are some snacks (such as chips) available for purchase. One thing that holds back my review from being five stars is the parking lot. It's on the smaller side and usually very full, since BlackStack shares the parking lot with Can Can Wonderland (a miniature golf course) and some other businesses. Something to be aware of.

Yelp
They don't really serve food but have food trucks all the time. They service is always good, the beer is even better. Best atmosphere of any of the breweries in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Pros: Board game selection was out of this world! Cool space with lots and lots of seating. Cons: Beer selection was limited. Struggled to get served at the bar with only one bartender. Conclusion: I think there are better breweries around ‍

Yelp
Love the vast, plant filled space and the shelves full of games. Lots of smaller comfy seating areas, plus larger tables. Food trucks are scheduled many evenings, and of course you can have food delivered or bring in your own. Service is efficient and personable. Blackstack has a lot going for it, so it's doubly disappointing that I don't really like any of their beers. They often partner with other brewers, and occasionally they'll craft a beer that I enjoy, but overall I'm just not a fan.

Yelp
Blackstack shares the same warehouse with Can Can Wanderland, but it has a totally different vibe. When you come in, there is a wall of board games for you to borrow and a plethora of tables and plants. It definitely has a coffee shop vibe. The beers are very fun and definitely unique. Soul Lao'd IPA is a specialty beer and is a collab with Soul Lao foodtruck. You can definitely taste the lemongrass in it. People person is a Berliner Weisse and is fruity and tart. Mocha Me Time is great and has a very strong coffee flavor and smell. The real reason that I first stopped by is their Wing Wednesdays with Soul Lao, and I'm glad I did. They also have other fun collabs with other restaurants/food trucks and I would definitely come back for those (and the beer). Parking wasn't too bad either. Although limited in front of the building, there is an overflow lot and street parking.

Yelp
This brewery is simply amazing. The atmosphere is incredible, seeing the massive smokestack as you pull in to the parking lot, all of the plants around the tables and couches, and the open warehouse vibe make this brewery a can't miss stop in the Twin Cities. The staff is incredible, especially Safe. He went above and beyond to make our stop welcoming and fun. On a more detailed note, I am a beer lover and I especially love IPAs. Blackstack does not make a bad IPA, every single one I've tried has been at worst great and at best, a top 5 beer of all time. They make them all pillowy soft and smooth, fruit forward and delicious. Their can art and descriptions are top notch as well. GO TO THIS BREWERY.

Yelp
With lots of space and seating, BlackStack is the perfect spot for events or happy hour. With their wall of games and televisions, it is easy to see why it's so popular. They don't have their own kitchen but do have a food truck (that changes) on site. I do like their selection of beer and non brewery options.

Yelp
This place is straight awesome. If you can grab one of the couches, snag it! Fun place to hang out and enjoy the day with family and friends. Converse over some good brew and a board game from back in the day. My favorite brewery so far in the Twin Cities.

Yelp
Super great spot! Good beer for an affordable price. They have a ton of games to bring to your table and play with friends. I highly recommend the local 755. They also have 5 oz beers perfect for a make your own sampler!

Yelp
A cool space for craft brew with your buds. Parking is very tight, literally, it's squeezed in on a lower level than the road and there is a narrow entrance. That said, the insides are warehouse style brew pub with the gleaming tanks behind the bar. Comfortable lounging chairs and tables. There were people sipping working much like a coffee bar. We didn't sample any food, but one thing of note the already limited selection of brews had three more crafts crossed out. Turn the menu over for a lighter brew which was really on the mellow side. I'm not sure what this building was before but the machinery must have been in place a long time as there are still shadowing marks on the floor that couldn't be buffered over..just adds to the charm I suppose.

Yelp
This place is a whole vibe! From the amazing guava frozen drink to their employees, to the aesthetic of the whole place. Me and my hubby walked in and immediately fell in love with this brewery...this is definitely the place to chill, listen to great music and enjoy some delicious beer. I'm sure the parking situation becomes a little challenging when there's more people inside, but that's the least of my worries when I know I'm gonna have a good time & enjoy the place. Yet they don't serve food in house, they bring food trucks on the weekends, so you have the option of munching while drinking.
