Fun fun fun. Vacationing in Kansas City, my wife and I finally decided to try axe throwing(she never knew I use to camp all the time and this is what we would do for fun, so she thought I was just a natural). Anyway, we reserved a time online. We showed up early, took a seat at the bar and waited for our lane. There was a gentleman working there, I forgot his name. But he was from California, Missouri. We're from the state of California so that's how I remember him. Haha. Anyway, the Steelers were whooping on the Chargers, and he was rooting them on. I like when I go to a place and an employee looks at the tv and gets excited because his team is winning. Not all tense and walking around like a robot. He was enjoying it. Well he would turn out to be our server, or axe throwing teacher, or friend for the night I'm not sure what his job title that night was, haha. He taught us the rules, showed us how to properly throw, asked if we wanted food or drinks, and every now and then checked in on us and asked how it was going. Then he showed us how to throw two axes at the same time which made it even more fun. The menu is small, but the food is good. I think he described it as upscale bar food, which was a great description. Plenty of drinks to choose from. Axe throwing was $40 for the two of us, which is worth it. Towards the end of the hour and a half we were tired and sore. Total bill for two meals, 4 drinks, axe throwing came out to just over $80. My wife and I haven't had the much fun in a while. Their photo booth is a nice touch as well. Thank you for your pointers and excellent service Mr California, MO. Sorry I forgot your name!!
