"Charming 18th century barn and hayloft, just a stone's throw from the sea, with fantastic panoramic views, pretty gardens, a courtyard and a lily pond. Stylish bar and stone-walled, candlelit dining room. Starters and desserts are in buffet format, while the seasonal main courses are cooked on a wood-fired chargrill. Luxurious, modern bedrooms are dotted about the place." - The MICHELIN Guide Nordic Editorial Team

Fabulous accommodation and food with the most spectacular views. An absolute treat and the sense of peace and tranquility here cannot be described. Everyone at Blairscove was so lovely I cannot wait to return. A hidden Irish gem. Highly, highly recommended. As a base to tour majestic west cork it’s just idyllic! Thank you Blairscove for a wonderful relaxing couple of days - I only wish my stay was longer !!

It’s been a week since I visited with my cousins whilst on a girls’ trip & still thinking about the wonderful meal we had here. Excellent quality seasonal ingredients, drinks were varied and well-selected and the service was attentive. Definitely want to visit again

We held both our ceremony and reception at Blairscove House, and we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue. From the moment we first visited, it ticked every single box – and then some. What stood out initially was the aesthetic: a unique blend of modern and traditional design, with a relaxed, quirky, yet incredibly tasteful feel. Unlike many other venues we viewed, both the interior and exterior spaces were stunning – no compromises needed. Its location on Dunmanus Bay is breathtaking (granted, we only ever seemed to visit on sunny days!), and the roaming cats and dogs completely stole our hearts. Key decision-makers for us also included Blairscove’s stellar reputation for food, and the incredible owners, Ann and Woody – the perfect combination of kind, organised, flexible, and totally reliable. They were consistently responsive, available to answer all our many questions, and left no room for doubt about any part of the planning. Their transparency around pricing and flexibility with the schedule and setup made a big difference, especially as we were planning from outside the area. Ann also offered great local vendor recommendations, which we really appreciated. On the day itself, we were lucky with glorious weather. Our ceremony was held in the beautiful marquee, followed by cocktails in the sunshine. We’d brought a few decorations and cakes, and the Blairscove team arranged and displayed everything beautifully. But the real standout? The food. Our guests are still talking about it! The starter and dessert buffets were overflowing with variety – delicious, creative, and plentiful (we spotted more than a few precariously stacked plates). It was easily the best wedding food we’ve ever had – and our guests clearly felt the same. We also stayed in the on-site accommodation that night, which was beautifully styled and so comfortable. The thoughtful gift of champagne and a card was such a lovely surprise, and the breakfast the next morning was exactly what we needed after all the celebrations. Blairscove House gave us peace of mind, a stunning setting, flawless food, and a relaxed yet professional experience from start to finish. We would recommend it without hesitation – especially to couples planning a smaller, more personal wedding (we had 75 guests, and it was the perfect fit). Truly a magical place.

Magnificent dining experience in a beautiful location looking out on Dunmanus Bay. You pick as many starters as you like from a huge table with seafood, shell fish, charcuterie, pates, couscous, salads, cheeses and home made breads. Followed by a wide selection of M main courses. Lamb, Beef, Duck but let me recommend their seafood. We had black sole and scallops which were divine. Desserts are also a multi selection option of delicious cakes, chocolate mousse, meringues, tarts and accompanying sauces and fresh cream.
