Blake's Lotaburger

I placed an order for four burritos total, three with bacon and green chile, and one without meat but withgreen chile. They completely messed up my order and gave me three without bacon and green chile, and one with bacon and green chile. The problem is that the one with bacon just happened to be my husband’s, who CANNOT eat pork. He bit right into it and almost ate bacon. This is not just an inconvenience it could have been dangerous if someone had a food allergy. When I reached out to customer service, they were no help at all and didn’t seem to care about the seriousness of the mistake. The only thing they offered was two gift cards, which doesn’t even cover the full order and honestly, I don’t plan to eat there again after this experience. Blake’s needs to take responsibility and ensure their staff are paying attention to orders. This level of carelessness and lack of concern for customers’ health is unacceptable. I added a picture which includes the burrito clearly labeled #4, which is not supposed to have meat, but it did end up having bacon

I've waited 35 minutes for an order and they proceeded to finish the lobbies before they even worked on the drive-thru order. Three cars were waited ahead of me and they were waiting longer and when I got my food The fries weren't even filled. Everything was cold every worker there had an expression of anger and disappointment. If they don't like working there, they should choose another line of work

Usually have super good food from here but Bad service, rude cashier No reciept + jamming the card swiper in my face Got my food as I was on the way to work, its just a completely different item than what i ordered- I ordered a chicken sandwich, green chile sauce and no pickles, and got a burger I can't even have because it has pickles and mustard! And the meat was ice cold. Not a fun experience whatsoever I just wanred my chicken sandwich.

Born and raised in Albuquerque but reside in Texas for the past 25 years, Blake’s Lotaburger is always my go-to when I come home to visit family. The food is excellent, and the customer service is outstanding. Tonight I placed a large, complicated order with the manager (I believe her name was Nicole), and she was awesome to work with. I have very picky eaters in my family and everything was 100% correct, which almost never happens with a big family order. This location is the only one I visit when in town. I know I’ll always receive friendly service, smiling faces, and respectful staff every time. Highly recommend this location—great food and even better service! 2301 Carlisle Blvd NE / Store #27

I ordered a #1 burrito with chopped green chili and a large seasoned fries. When i got home i opened my burrito to add salt and My burrito hardly had any green chili but maybe a couple of pieces. Not even enough to get some in each bit more like 1 bite. Plus I had to already wait in the drive thru and by the time I got to the window, I was asked to wait even longer for my fries. So I parked. Waited 5 more minutes. When I got my fries they were already cold. Like they have been sitting out not just freshly cooked. The centers were still cold. Im very disappointed with my visit today.

EDIT BELOW: Went via drive thru on 12/1/2025 @ ~04:50PM-05:00PM. As others have noted it did take some time to receive food but that's fine. When I did receive it the girl handing me the bag seemed PISSED off handing it to me. I was terrified something had happened to my food. Got home and my burger is drenched with mustard. this is my first time at a lotaburger so maybe this is how it's supposed to be? Not sure, but it wasn't pleasant, fries seemed soggy and old, and overall not much flavor to the food. Couldn't finish it and threw away. EDIT: I did go to another location and NO it isn't supposed to be drenched in mustard. Also, the fries ARE supposed to be crispy. Lastly, the other place I went to actually gave me medium fries. This place had the audacity to give me soggy AND small sized fries. Change my review from 1 star to 0 stars. smh.

We picked this restaurant because it was within walking distance of our hotel. We were not disappointed. Burgers were fresh and so were the onion rings and seasoned fries. We also ordered the pumpkin pie milkshake which was their featured shake. It tasted just like pumpkin pie and even had pieces of pie crust in it. Yum! We plan on stopping in again to try their breakfast burritos before we leave Albuquerque.

I called in an order and I live 5 minutes away. I was already on my way and when I got there, it was ready. 5 minute? When I asked about the shake, she went to the back to get it. Both burgers had NO MUSTARD or KETCHUP , a small piece of wilted lettuce and a few onions. One burger was dry and the bun was hard and stale tasting and the other burger was so greasy and not to mention the shake, it was pure liquid. This meal wasn't prepared when I called it in. They were left overs that had been sitting there. We noticed that all of the employees acted like they didn't want to be there. These Lotaburgers have gone down hill since Blake Chandler sold them. I will never return to any store. I called the corporate office and store and left a message and I don't want a reply here from your office with a number to call because I already did. The owners and employees need to take pride in their work.

Service was great, the restaurant was fairly clean and the burger was okay. But I swear if their patties get any thinner they are going to be transparent. I miss the old Lota Burger platform.

OK, this is not my cup of tea or should I say hamburger? I think this place strives to be like Whataburger but it's no Whataburger. See the picture below. What is thicker the onion, the tomato or the meat? I'd say the onion. So the burger didn't have much of a taste. The restaurant is plain and not kept up. Overall, the place looked scruffy. The menu is quite limited. Took us, a group of five, at least 20 minutes or more to get our burgers and we walked in with no one in the restaurant. People came after us, and it seemed that they worked on their orders first before filling ours. If I have to choose, I'm going choose Whataburger every time. This is the type of place you go to when there is nowhere else to go to!

This place was absaloutely amazing. I came here with my friend Jeff I enjoyed it so much the employees were super nice just the green chillies cheese burger was way to spicy for Jeff he passed out on the bus.

The automated phone ordering system is amazing works great. Even when I mis spoke i5 picked up my corrections!!!

So came to visit family in NM. My nephew told me that Blake's had very good burritos and hamburgers. So before we headed back home we stopped in to try it out. I must say the best adovada burrito I've ever had. The place was clean and the staff was ok. I would definitely come back again

Rev I used to be a loyal fan of Blakes--an iconic spot for affordable, no-frills New Mexican fasr food. It had that classic theme: no dine-in, just good eats served fast, with bold flavors and prices that made it easy to come back again and again. But lately, the experience has taken a disappointing turn. The food has lost its punch. The chili, once fiery and flavorful, now tastes watered down and bland. The overall quality has dropped, and the prices have climbed to a point where it no longer feels like the affordable go-to it once was. It's hard to watch a beloved local spot lose its way. Blakes needs to reflect on what made it special--affordable, delicious New Mexican food--and get back to those roots. Albuquerque deserves better

The service was slow and no one notice me. Blake's management needs to have at least 3 workers out. The 2 didn't cut it and can't blame them but they couldn't been more nice. Management here sucks! Went to Burgerking because of this issue.

We came here because we seen it in a Ryan Trahan video. We sat at the same table he did!! Food was great!!! Service was great!!! We got a picture with Melissa too!!! She is still the GOAT!! She is very nice!!! Ryan's table should have his name on it. :-)

#1 bacon burrito w/ red chili was very dry. Nit enough red chili and hash Browns overcooked and dried out. Normally they are very good. This Blakes is on Osuna and Eubank.

1, Bun: too much for size of meat. Prefer sesame buns. 2. Veggies; prefer shredded lettuce, tomato slices & pickles are miniscule, love the onions, not enough mustard, green chili terrific. 3. Meat is like an undercooked hubcap WITHOUT flavor. 4. Cheese os Okay. 5. Technique: Need to toast the bun on the grill, they use a machine that does a poor job. It needs butter or flavoring. Dry and too much bread. Note: I have always loved Lotta Burger but recently quality is POOR.

Blakes lotaburger in aztec has the worst employees my hamburger the bun was like they dipped it in the fryer and had finger markers in bun this happens the last 2 times that's the last time I will eat at blakes..

I stopped by one morning for a burger because I knew it would be a long day for me. I ended up getting a green chile cheese burger and a drink. I thought the food would satisfy me but it was kind of a let down. First, the store and place around it seemed a little dirty/dingy. It was to the point when I decided to not eat there. Second, the food was just ok..and frankly quite oily. It wasn't memorable as I thought it would...given it seemed to be a signature burger there. Overall, ok place to stop by to grab food to fill your stomach and address your hunger. However, it isn't a place that I would think of stopping by on purpose in the future...unfortunately.

We went straight to Blake's after our flight from Seattle thanks to the recommendation of a friend of a friend! I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and seasoned fries from the drive thru, and both were amazing. The fried chicken was perfect, and slathered in their Blake's sauce. They were generous with the fries and the ketchups. While we did not dine in, we enjoyed our food on the way to our lodging. What a treat-I would definitely come back!

When I went there i saw a gang of strange men outside, when I ate my burger 300 bugs started pouring out of the meat. I kept ate BUT I started hearing weird noises out the shed next door.

Store looked closed parking lot empty. Upon entering g two people were mopping and cleaning counter, completely and rudely ignored me. Went to the counter and waited a couple minutes, no acknowledgement, So I left went back a few minutes later went to drive up window, placed order, rudely dealt with at window then, when I got to my room Chili dog had been put in container upside down looked deliberate, don't know what I did to deserve their wrath, but I'll not be going back!! 8/19/25 approx. 4:30 ps chili dog was pretty good cheeseburger just ok, milkshake was filled with crunchy bits of what seemed like bits of the pineapple core, had to spit them out after each sip

Never order online from this location, they constantly get the orders wrong. I've tried multiple times and each time they either miss something or don't add something correctly. Whenever you order anything "extra" it seems they neglect it completely out of spite.

Ordered my order online didn't think much til I get to work to find out they gave me the wrong burritos.. I ordered the sausage burritos with green chili and they gave me bacon with red chili. I don't like either of those which made me very upset. When I tried to contact the restaurant I got an automated response and after pushing the automated system to speak to someone it transferred to speak to a human the phone rang several times and no one picked up for 5 minutes straight. I am very upset I wasted my money and no one answered the phone to make it right. I couldn't go back to the restaurant because I was already at work and couldn't leave. I won't be returning to this location after this experience!

Wow...Blake Chancellor is truly rolling over in his grave! This used to be an amazing establishment and has been sold off to people who definitely have been running it not only into the ground but.now is subterranean. First, they scaled down on the size of the burgers, changed the buns out to a miserable substitute that tastes like week old bread. Thought I'd give them another chance and yet the Bernalillo Blake's is even worse! Thought I'd try Frito Pie which consisted of the remnants of the bottom of a 1/8th frito chip bag and chili and cheese that looked like it was dug out of the tras,dry and disgusting. How sad they've become and service? Well the tall lanky kid came out to the car and threw it at me literally. What a punk! No manners, no training, no sense of service whatsoever. Why Blake's? Why are you still in business? You should be ashamed. I'm just done with Blake's forever..No more chances, be warned, Blake's is so pitiful and has slandered poor Blake's Chancellors name, reputation and dynasty u which now isn't worth the space they occupy. Hard pass on Blake's, in fact keep driving.

I ordered a itsa patty just the patty I was puzzled why several customers behind me were getting their order I finally flagged down the person giving these orders and asked where and why my order was taking so long his response "oh" and brought it right out the itsa patty was burned, dry and cold lota burger on Juan Tabo #64 seriously

First visit to Blake's Lotsburger, it was close to the hotel and after working a long day I just wanted something quick to takeback to the hotel. I ordered the LotaFtito Pie, Onion Rings and a large drink. I was asked to pull up and wait. Took about 7 minutes. Got back to the hotel, and went to eat and there was no fork in the bag. After hunting down a fork from the hotel lobby I opened my Frito Pie.....or should I say Fritos. I honestly thought there would be Chili on the chips: but there was a little cheese, tomato and lettuce. So maybe I missed what I was ordering but this was not what I expected for $7.99. Onion Rings were really over cooked and could have benefited from some kind of dipping sauce. This will honestly be my one and only trip over my next two months of working in Albuquerque. Very disappointing.

Bring back shredded lettuce, why change it. Doesn't taste the same at all. If things are working why change. People are used to that and it's very disappointing.

Hands down the best Green Chile Burger I ever had. I had the Lota Burger New Mexico Style ! Spicy Fries and their new Dulce de Leche shake. It had a flavor that blew my mind. Service was fast and restaurant was clean. Prices were good. Loved it. Ummm it's making me hungry for it all over again

I ordered thirty minutes ago, and still haven't gotten my food. We stopped here because we are driving cross country and trying to save on time - big mistake. It would have been faster to go eat at a sit-down restaurant, head to a gas station, interview for a job, work enough hours to pay for the sit-down meal, and then take a nap before heading out. Update - just got my burrito. Very spicy and otherwise mediocre. Please for the love of God don't stop here on a road trip

Very very yummy, the food was hot and fresh, the staff were nice to me, and I didn't mind the sound of the restaurant, overall very good experience

The food is raw, moldy, and cold. There was also a tooth in my fries. The people that worked there was very rude and charged me extra. The drive though was closed and there was a shot in the speaker where the drive through was and the music was blasting in the restaurant and that music almost ruptured my ear drums. Never going back here and also I do not recommend to other people

Pretty solid burger--guy at the drive thru was super nice, food was hot and juicy. Lobby locked at 8:35 was kinda of bummer but the food was excellent and good value. On another note: every want to know if someone on Yelp is an ASSHOLE? Look at the reviews. Like James. Or Bertha. If all, or 95% of their reviews are 1-star: asshole. And a troll. Ignore the trolls.

Went here for my birthday thinking it was going to be fun but I ended up in the hospital. You may ask how but my burger was completely raw and I got salmonella. I got EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA and MY BOOTY WAS ON FIRE. But they gave me free Chocy milk which was colored water. Never go here

I go here consistently because i like their food its delicious. But every time i come here the service and time to wait just gets worse. Today i ordered a meal and they forgot my drink and did not give me my fries, they also only took an hour an a half to make and bring the food. its either it takes too long or they get my order completely wrong, not very good don't recommend.

There's a rule in retail that you put the smartest person in the building on the front line. Face of the business, able to think on their feet, handle the public and prevent problems. We were greeted by a 'Seinfeld' low-talker whose braces would not allow her to open her mouth enough to be understood. We wanted a combo - standard fare everywhere - of burger, fries, drink. Not shown on the menu - only on the register - because they don't want you to see the price! She had to call a manager to ring up a combo. FOOD: Excellent. Hot burgers, fresh, hot fries and all we wanted for lunch. The service and price. Nah. I could've gotten nearly the same meal at Whataburger for $10 bucks less. One of these days fast food places are going to be void of customers and they'll all look around wondering what happened?? People are not going to waste money on bad food or service forever....

Picked up fish boat from an online order...guess what, get home NO TARTAR SAUCE...wtf!!!...on top of that, everything was put in bag side ways...so everything fell out....no excuse for such a mistake...on top of that, tried to call and got routed to a voice mail...too many choice for mediocrity.... never again!!!!! I see why ratings are plummeting...if you cant handle a new menu item, do have them

I've always had a problem when coming to this place, either the cashiers not being able to understand English or just them acting hostile. The cashier rolled her eyes multiple times when I was ordering my food, when I finished she immediately got on her phone and scoffed. I don't know what her problem was but I feel like she shouldn't work here if she really hates her job that much. Food was great, as always.

Horrible food and downright mean staff. Women who took my order obviously had no interest in clocking in today and was going to make it everyone's problem. Cooks looked as if they were under the influence and the food showed this as well as certain items were undercooked and others way overcooked

Blakes automated order placing service is a damn joke. Slow and tedious. Every time I've used it I've had to be directed to a real person to correct the order. Please shut this damn service down. It sucks!!

This was my first time visiting this location. I was surprised at how clean and spacious it was! All I knew about it before was that it was protective of its parking spots when it came to people visiting the nearby Rudy's BBQ. Now that I was visiting the Blake's Lotaburger, I was suddenly really grateful that they are so protective of those parking spots because it meant that I could easily access the handicap parking! We had called in our to go order and they had everything ready to go quickly and it was 100% correct, fresh, and delicious! The staff was gracious, kind, and friendly. They were knowledgeable about the menu and how to make cost saving combos as I watched a family visiting from out of state as a lot of questions about options. It was a really great representation of New Mexico!

A zero if I could. We ordered the new Frito pie today. The first shock was the price of $8.00 for one?! We get home and the bags were straight Fritos, hardly any chili. Dry as hell. They forgot the cheese. The worst $38 dollars I've spent in a long time. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!!! Cynthia

Store #44 is my favorite. The girl Sara always remembers me and the manager runs the place great! This is the only location I will go to (i live next to san Antonio location) because the food tastes great! They always get my food right and I love that they still use the grill for the hash browns instead of an oven!
