Great climb! One thing to prepare for is the trail, the trail is very large BUT it’s ankle breaking rocks that get quite challenging to walk on after a while. It’s about 7 miles to Lake Como from the BLM sites, after that it’s about 2ish miles to the peak. The views are worth the anguish. Trust

An amazing Colorado 14er to hike, enjoy nature, and get a good workout. Bring a good pair of hiking boots and lots of water since there is no water source for filling up bottles.

Such a fun and interesting hike! We daytripped up lake Como road which was fun going up, but not so much down. Regardless, the scrambling was fun, and the area is beautiful! Excited to come back and tackle some of the other mountains in the area, or just camp for a bit!

Blanca is a beast of a hike but worth it. The 4x4 road is one of the most intense in CO with some carnage that is left on the side. The hike was simple but long, the weather can change in an instant but the views are stunning and extensive. Highly suggested in an overnight if you are not in the best of shape

Super great views from Blanca, but damn if Lake Como road isn’t a trip through hell. Rucking up that road was rough, but it was worth it!
