Fashion Valley’s Blanco Cocina and Cantina Restaurant Expanding to Coronado | Eater San Diego

"Bringing more tacos and tequila to the peninsula, I learned Blanco Cocina + Cantina is moving into the prominent corner space at Orange and B Avenues (the former Bistro D’Asia). Developed by Fox Restaurant Concepts and led by founder Sam Fox, this will be his second Coronado venture after opening an outpost of the Henry nearby in 2019. The menu follows the Blanco brand’s Mexican‑American Southwest style — think cheese crisps, or open‑face quesadillas, and Tucson‑style chimichangas filled with short rib machaca or braised chicken, plus a large variety of tacos, burritos, fajitas, and enchiladas. Due to open in 2023, the restaurant will also feature an outdoor patio and a bustling bar serving spicy margaritas, frozen palomas, mezcal old fashioneds, and flights of tequila and mezcal." - Candice Woo

My first complaint is that our food was forgotten and the waitress told us they lost our ticket. When we did get our food, over an hour later, the beans were black when we had ordered borracho. We ordered the carne asada fajitas to share. Overall, the food and the margaritas were delicious. For the pricing, I expected better service. Our waitress was really sweet. But I am not sure if she had too many tables or if they were short staffed because we never got our waters when asked for them in the beginning with our margaritas. We had to ask 2 different other people to get water. Our waters also came way late instead of with our margaritas. I would go back and give this place another chance. I thought the vibe of the restaurant was nice and we did have a good view. The Las Frutas and Mezcalito margs were my favorites.

Some of the best tacos I’ve eaten! Wasn’t expecting such yummy tacos. We ordered from the window outside and got the fish, beef and chicken tacos and each was uniquely delicious. Large too. Filled with flavor & love. Wish I had a place like this near me 🥺

Blanco Cocina + Cantina is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, and the service is truly top-notch. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome, and they're always happy to offer recommendations from their fantastic menu. The real star of the show, though, is the all-day happy hour on Tuesdays! It's the perfect way to unwind after a long day with incredible deals on both food and drinks. The margaritas are fantastic, and the happy hour food menu is full of delicious, generously sized options. I highly recommend the tacos and queso—they're the perfect pairing for your drink.

Stylish, Sophisticated, and Absolutely Delicious – 5 Stars! This is not your average Mexican restaurant – it’s a high-end dining experience that combines authentic flavors with a modern, stylish atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the elegant interior and thoughtful design make a strong impression. The service is outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, making you feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the entire meal. The food is simply exceptional. Every dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell that high-quality ingredients and expert techniques are behind every bite. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to treat yourself to a refined take on Mexican cuisine, this place is an absolute must. Highly recommended!

Life’s little surprises are always the sweetest. On our last day in San Diego, we randomly walked into this spot and had such an amazing experience! The frozen margarita was unexpectedly incredible, and the burgers were unique and full of flavor. The highlight, though, was our server Kristina. She noticed that it was my girlfriend’s birthday around this time and surprised us with a piece of cake at the end. We were genuinely touched and pleasantly surprised. This thoughtful gesture truly made our trip end on a perfect note.

Google
We enjoyed delicious tacos and enchiladas at a great price. The corn tortillas were homemade with grilled pineapple and chicken and just the right amount of spice. The chicken tinga enchiladas were served with a warm sauce and smooth guacamole. During happy hour they offer $7 tacos and an $8 glass of wine. This rare gem in the heart of Orange Ave does it right. We'll definitely be back.

Google
We had an incredible experience at Blanco Cocina in Coronado! We opted for a reservation two days in advance, as we had a large party of 10 (5 adults and 5 kids). The braised short rib chimichangas were absolutely next-level — rich, flavorful, and perfectly crisped. The margaritas were fresh, balanced, and exactly what we needed to start off our evening. Even the kids were all smiles with their cheese quesadillas, which disappeared in minutes. What really stood out was the service — friendly, attentive, and on point the whole night. Our server handled our large group with ease and made sure everyone was taken care of. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Coronado — whether you’re with friends, family, or both!

Had a gathering here. Very lively inside and good assortment of food and drinks on the menu. The Paloma was good - except I didn't know it was an alcoholic drink because there was no mention of alcohol on the actual menu. It was fruity and very strong alcohol-wise 😵‍💫. I personally tried the grilled shrimp taco. Nice blend of shrimp, cabbage, and sauce. Went for the white corn taco, unfortunately it came soggy pretty quickly. Also not sure what type of rice it was on side, it was wet... and salty. The black beans also bled into the other parts of the dish, I wonder whether the restaurant thought about using a plate with dividers to 'protect' the tacos. The place got busy very quickly so the servers were like "hang on" or "just a sec" whenever I tried to grab their attention (eg water or extra cutlery). Not rude or anything, just felt rushed and dismissed sometimes. They always made sure I got what I had needed though. The bathrooms were clean, and they refill the chips and water constantly. Had a really fun time there. They have various indoor and outdoor sitting options - near the bar, sit-in cubicle tables and high table with stools, and also a few tables outside. Pretty good place overall.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in for happy hour, and it was fantastic. The frozen drinks were amazing, I had the frozen Paloma and he had the frozen margarita, and both were absolutely delicious. But the real standout? The carnitas on the happy hour menu. Truly something special and hands-down the best I've ever had. I'm already counting down the days until we can go back. The service was wonderful as well. I wish I remembered our waitress's name because she was an absolute delight and she even looked just like Lana Del Rey! Overall, a great experience all around. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great food. Great happy hour specials. Had multiple tacos and they are amazing! Really nice location and great atmosphere. Love the service and the great staff. A definite must stop if you're in the area.

Yelp
Came in for a quick bite with my girlfriend, who's vegan and gluten-free. Mauricio, our server, was so patient, kind, and detail-oriented to ensure that she could have something delicious to eat. He took down our order, double-checked, and a lot of people came by and asked if our dish came out well. The level of service here is really high. The quality of food is up there. I got a two taco plate thinking that I'd be hungry afterward, but I was very filling. The space itself is really cute and well-designed. It has a good vibe to it. The music isn't too loud. And there it is enough light to see and appreciate your meal. If you're craving Mexican food, I would highly recommend. Definitely would come again! My only recommendation is that they clearly label what dishes can be made vegan and gluten-free :)

Yelp
My wife and me stopped here for a Taco Tuesday lunch. We ordered the Birria taco, crispy sweet potato taco, a chicken pastor taco and a traditonal carnitas taco. While all of the tacos were outstanding --- fresh ingredients, great combination of flavors such as carmelized pineapples and avocados, fearless use of spices, good size tacos --- the Birria taco with shredded beef, carmelized onions and peppers, crispy chihuahua with a small bowl of consomme to dip the taco into was amazing. And indulgent! It's worth making a separate trip here for that taco alone. And it's practically a meal in itself. Our waitress was friendly and good with suggestions. The restaurant itself is stylish with comfortable tables and chairs and a chilled, "no rush" vibe. The only "caution" is for Taco Tuesday tacos, the prices were on the high side: $7 for all the tacos except for the Birria taco, which was $8. But they were high quality.

Yelp
Blanco is a great brunch spot in Coronado with delicious margaritas and a great selection of breakfast/brunch entrees! I really enjoyed the chorizo breakfast tacos and my green margarita. Entrees were very reasonably priced and well portioned! Service was great!
google avatar

Yelp
Took a day trip to Coronado and found this amazing venue while walking the area. I didn't make note of the parking as I was on foot, it I did notice various parking lots around the area along with some neighborhood street parking. We were seated right away and our server shared all the key entrees and drink options. The chips and salsa were addicting and I had to stop myself to keep room for my lunch. The decor is very artsy and well done. The energy in and around the restaurant was amazing! I can't wait to return.
google avatar

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Very good tacos and if you're hungry for tacos this is the place to indulge. It so happens to be Taco Tuesday! Nice atmosphere with a copious bar at the center of the restaurant. We had the following tacos and each one was served in generous portions: Ground Beef, Sweet Potato, Estrella Jalisco, Chicken Pastor, and Birria. Service was excellent!
google avatar

Yelp
We were able to get seated right away on a Friday at 1:30pm Our server was the sweetest guy, always checking in on us Food was great. Got their chicken tinge enchiladas. Complimentary chips and salsa... ok chips It was my husband's birthday and they gave him a handwritten birthday card and a complimentary dessert off the menu so we got their strawberry rhubarb empanadas. Which was amazing Got their watermelon mocktail which was tasty 3 of us ate and got 2 drinks and 3 entrees, cost was about $90 total. Would could come back to try more!

Yelp
Food quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 We first discovered Blanco Tacos at a Taco Fest years ago and instantly fell in love with their consistently delicious food. This location is especially great and I really appreciate how dog-friendly the outdoor seating is. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos (on flour tortillas, with charro beans) and they were absolutely life-changing - a solid 10/10. The sauce they use is incredible and takes the tacos to another level. My husband went with the taco salad and gave it an 8.8/10, which says a lot coming from him. They also have great non-alcoholic drink options. I tried the strawberry refresher and it was delicious and the perfect pairing with the tacos. Blanco continues to be one of our favorite go-tos, and this spot definitely lives up to the hype.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was incredible. The service from Nick was top drawer busy night during Christmas season with difficult parking and difficult navigating traffic all over. The manager saved our table for 8 through it all. Ready for Christmas inside. Beautiful tree for kids to look at.

Yelp
Great lunch spot in Coronado right on the main drag of Orange Ave. Blanco has a plentiful Mexican menu with tacos, enchiladas, burrito bowls, fajitas, margaritas, and more. Though it's not stated on the menu, you can mix and match your two tacos. I ordered the chicken pastor with pineapple, cheese and salsa verde AND the traditional carnitas with jalapeños, creme frésca and salsa verde. Both were excellent Mexican street tacos and didn't need additional salsa. I was kind of surprised they didn't offer the most popular taco in San Diego, the fish taco. The rice and beans were good, but not traditional. The rice was white-colored with a little corn, instead of Mexican reddish-orange rice with tomatoes and onions. The beans I chose were "charred", which is their take on refried. The seating outside was nice and you could look out onto the street. Blanco has been open for a year at this location.

Yelp
A very nice place. Lots of big tables for large groups and very nice patio area. Chips and salsa were very good, fresh and crispy served with a salsa that brought the heat but not over the top. Large portions for a decent price coupled with friendly quick service. An excellent choice for lunch or dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
The restaurant is nice and clean, food was pretty good, but it was the service that went the extra mile. Angel was an excellent server that was friendly and very attentive. My wife drinks a LOT of water, and he always kept her glass topped off. Also gave some great food recommendations. I would eat here again.
google avatar

Mimi J.

Yelp
Food was amazing. I had taquitos pollo, my husband had abalongas soup and a tres amigo dish. Everything was hot, fresh and great taste. The soup was the best. Beat broth . But had too many chunks of tomatoes.
google avatar

Lianni L.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! Our server Melina was amazing, she offered great recommendations, gave us honest advice and overall was a gem! The food and drinks were great, especially the ceviche! So fresh and so tasty. We will definitely be back the next time we are in San Diego.
google avatar

Yelp
I hadn't been to a Blanco in a few years. Really enjoyed the queso, the sweet potato tacos, the Rosa Bonita margarita, and the flan. Happy to see the creamy rice with corn instead of the tomatoey rice and quinoa blend. Whole group left satisfied. Would return. Service was a little slow and it was really loud because of sports fans at the bar.
google avatar

Yelp
Stylish but laid back Mexican restaurant in Coronado. I loved an option to mix and match four margaritas for $49 so we could try many on the menu while saving money. I got TJ Cesar salad and it was good, not sure how I felt about deep fried cheese, but hey, it is something different

Yelp
Great customer service. Highly recommend there carne asada tacos so delicious and tender ! The vibe here is pretty chill best part is after a good dinner a walk on the beach

Yelp
This place was nice. Went for dinner on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was loud but not overly crowded. There was plenty of space at the bar, so I sat there. I had the spicy skinny margarita and that was delicious. I don't like my drinks too sugary and this was perfect. I also ordered the chicken tortilla soup (so good!) and the shrimp tacos on fresh corn tortillas. Everything was delicious. The bartender was very nice and friendly. Fun note that my coworker noticed was the wallpaper in the women's bathroom. Check it out for a good laugh

Yelp
We were here over the 4th of July holiday. I've been to Blanco in Scottsdale multiple times so was familiar with the restaurant. We ordered cheese crisp and guacamole for the table to start, along with a pitcher of margaritas. Margaritas were excellent. Guac was super bland. I really enjoyed their salsa though. For my meal I had the mahi tacos and shrimp tacos. Both were excellent. I was glad that you could mix and match tacos too. Our server was excellent. Even offered water to our pup! Love the open feel of the restaurant. There's only 2 stalls in the women's bathroom so the line was long (I have small kiddos and of course they have to go to the bathroom like 5 times during dinner lol) Overall, great and would come back again!
google avatar

Yelp
This is the second time I've been to Blanco in Coronado and both times they delivered! Fun, upbeat atmosphere with great food and drinks to match. Our server was constantly touching base with the table to ensure we were happy with our food, our drinks were full, and any requests the table had were met. Highly recommend! The short rib machaca burrito is HUGE! I made three meals of it!

Yelp
We stopped by Blanco in Coronado and were impressed. I've been to blanco a few times back in Az and was glad to see they opened one in Coronado. The vibe is perfect for a laid-back meal near the beach. We ordered the shrimp tacos and they were incredible. Service was friendly and attentive, and the drinks were amazing too. Highly recommend if you're craving great tacos in a fun setting.

Yelp
I had no idea what we were walking into as we are just visiting Coronado and my husband picked the spot but I was so pleasantly surprised at how it was the perfect restaurant for him to pick. I was excited that it had such an open ambiance with the doors all open. I also was very content that they had such a great variety of mocktails for me and margaritas for my husband. Get the La Playa mocktail. It might have been the best mocktail I've ever had. We started off with the street corn and when she asked if we wanted it on or off the cob I couldn't have been happier. We asked for off the cob. It made it easier to eat and with the nice warm chips you get I knew how fresh the corn was. The chicken pastor was so flavorful!!! I give it 5 stars because we enjoyed it from beginning to end. Especially since Sydney as our server!
google avatar

Gina H.

Yelp
Calm and relaxing environment. Great bar service. The food was very good too for the price. Tortilla soup had a very good amount of chicken. Restaurant was clean.
google avatar

Carrie M.

Yelp
Their green chile smash burger is by far one of the best burgers I've ever had. I couldn't believe how delicious it was and damn near came back the next day to order another one. Try it. You won't regret it.

Luanne W.

Yelp
Outstanding! The appetizer Cheese Muchacha with short ribs was to die for! The mahi taco were filled with mahi and delicious. Great service and great margaritas too!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Here on a Sunday afternoon. Space is very relaxed, airy and chill. Sydney is an excellent server. Warm quest with hamburger is a great appetizer. The margaritas are deliciously imaginative. We had the Las Frutas, strawberry and mandarin, jalapeño and pineapple and the frozen grapefruit. All were so good. The enchilada trio and spicy tiger shrimp fajitas for our main course. Both were very good. The chicken tinga enchilada, was my favorite. Great place for a leisurely lunch.

Yelp
Casual classy restaurant in the heart of Coronado's Orange Ave, in a pretty foot and car traffic heavy area with limited parking, so plan to come early and drive mindfully. There is a parking garage on the next block just past the restaurant and street parking all around. Staff here were very pleasant, greeting every person warmly giving a local feel for sure. The bartender was also very nice and helpful, and it definitely looked like there were regulars coming in and out. Order: Strawberry clementine mimosa & Chilequiles verdes (sunny side up eggs, salsa verde, black beans, oaxaca cheese). This mimosa was SO good; the fresh ingredients blended well together making a gentle citrusy, slightly sweet brunch compliment. The Chilequiles were also delicious! Fresh chips, salsa, black beans and Oaxaca cheese hot under an umbrella of 2 perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs. Flavors were all there, and try the in-house hot sauce if you're a fan of spicy like I am, it's hot and VERY good. I'll be coming back, with more friends to try the rest of the menu :)
google avatar

Yelp
Very good! Ignore anyone moaning. They're just unhappy in life. You need to bear in mind you are in a high quality area opposite an expensive hotel. If you want taco bell prices and sizes go to taco bell. However, if you want fresh food, with decent portions that arent excessive, fresh drinks that arent too heavy on alcohol and service which is comfortable, relaxed and efficient, this is the place for you. I had the short rib tacos and they were excellent as was the skinny margaritas. Chips and salsa comes quickly. No additional charge. Salsa is fresh. Chips i think are made that day. Essentially you get what you pay for.

Yelp
If you have any food allergies, EAT Here!!! Brian was our server. Be sure to ask for him. He and the entire kitchen went out of their way to maximize our experience while paying close attention to my black and white pepper allergy. I ordered the chicken fajitas. (They do not pre-marinate their chicken for fajitas.) Absolutely delicious! They also made a fresh batch of guacamole without pepper! I would come back again in a heartbeat. Fantastic experience from start to finish.

Yelp
Upscale Mexican cuisine prepared with fresh, vibrant ingredients, and served by a staff who works well as a team. Ticks all my boxes. The menu includes traditional Mexican dishes--like fish tacos, cheese enchiladas, and breakfast burritos. It also features deliciously fresh takes on the classics--like their short rib machaca and spicy shrimp scampi fajitas. My favorite dish is unique to Blanco--the Papas Dolce Bowl. This is what I recommend checking out first, it's so flavorful--crispy sweet potato, zucchini, roasted peppers, avocado, fried queso(!), rice, pomegranate seed, mole sauce. Tip: add the skirt steak. It's satisfying without being overly filling--you're still "beach ready" after the meal, if that makes sense. If Blanco is not the official Mexican cuisine of Coronado yet, it will be soon. And if you're staying at the Del trying to decide between your options, I say give Blanco a shot.
google avatar

N. S.

Yelp
Overall good Mexican fresh takes on some cool Mexican dishes. I stepped out and tried their more vegetarian taco Bowl which was excellent! At the recommendation of the waitress I also order the steak but it took so long to come out I had them pretty much separate. The flank steak had great flavor. I'd recommend it. The salsa is and chips are a great touch but they are canned not fresh. Everything else was made to order. Next time I'll try a margarita. The reason for the 4 star was the unfortunate timing in the kitchen. But flavors and location were great!

Yelp
Coronado Island - go across a beautiful bridge in San Diego and find this charming island with cuteness overload. I did not have an issue finding parking on the street on a Sunday afternoon. Dinner at Blanco Cocina was fabulous. Nikki was an amazing server. It's so pretty inside. A mix of Mexico and Southern California vibe. I had one short rib taco and one grilled shrimp taco with rice and black beans and everything was delicious. The cucumber margarita was very fresh and delightful, especially if you're not a fan of super sweet drinks. I definitely recommend a visit here if you're in Coronado or need a reason to visit. I did not find it to be loud at the time when I went. There were a lot of windows and doors open. I really enjoyed the music that they were playing at the time. It was just the right lounge type of music that serves the venue well.

Yelp
We came last minute for my birthday - my 78 and 89 year old parents, my 12 and 14 year old sons, and me. We had driven up and spent the day at Disneyland, so we were exhausted. Somehow Bianco's service, food, and environment pepper us all up! Each of us found amazing things to eat. My dad and I split the burger (fantastic!!) and fish taco (delectable). No one had trouble finishing their food. Ok, some trouble - we'd all eaten too many chips with the salsa we couldn't stop putting into our mouths. All of us agreed we had no room for dessert. Because it was my birthday, the waitress packed up our choice of dessert for us to eat later. Cocktails are really solid - Cadillac margaritas were amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with exceptional service. I'm a shy person and wouldn't normally elect to dine alone but I was in town for work. The staff here made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I sat in their lovely patio area and enjoyed the scenery. The food was perfect. I ordered the steak fajita. The green sauce was delicious. It was all cooked to perfection making the steak tender and onions sweet
google avatar

Bianca C.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance were all great. A manager was always seen walking around ensuring guest satisfaction. Servers were very attentive and friendly. There's background music, but not too loud, which is perfect. Refills were always brought before having to ask. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I will definitely be returning. The smash burger is my favorite, next top choice would be the shrimp fajitas & Mexican street corn as an appetizer. I've also never had a bad drink here!
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
This place is newer and definitely worth a visit. Had lunch here on a Sunday and we we're luckily sat right away. It is decorated so nicely. I loved the style. They are also dog friendly (at least on the patio). The food was SO GOOD. I can't wait to eat here again. Everything had such great flavor and the portions were perfect. I had the braised short rib enchiladas and I'd recommend them to anyone. The pastor chicken tacos were also incredible. The servers/staff were very accommodating. Though it wasn't on the menu, they were kind enough to grill up some chicken for our dogs to eat.

Yelp
We've tried just about every restaurant in Coronado twice so we were stoked to see this new restaurant and couldn't wait to experience it. After waiting about an hour to get in on a Tuesday, we were in--and let me tell you, it was worth the wait! The vibes of this place are everything--great decor, lively music, lots of people, large comfortable table seating whether you're a party of 2 or a party of 10--theres lots of room! Our server was excellent. As soon as we were sat, she wasted no time coming right over and making sure we had drinks and chips and salsa--and continued to ensure we were refilled and stocked up throughout our meal. We ordered the mango shrimp ceviche as an appetizer--very fresh and delicious--Exactly what you want after a day at the beach--and also the warm queso dip. The menu has excellent variety and although we went with their draft beers, they have so many different cocktails to choose from--each one sounded amazing! For our meals, we ordered the spicy shrimp scampi fajitas and short rib beef machaca chimichanga burrito "enchilada style"...*whew, that's a mouthful lol* Enchilada style--as our server explained to us--is half verde sauce and half red sauce. It was very good and it is a very big, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. We also upgraded our side to the grilled street corn, which is an additional cost but definitely a must because it's delicious! The spicy shrimp scampi fajitas were also very good. I was a little bummed that there were only 6 shrimp (basically two shrimp per tortilla as they provide you with either three corn or flour tortillas), but they were larger shrimp and their grilled flavor did not disappoint, along with the charro beans that come as a side. You must get the charro beans--they are excellent! Overall, we were incredibly pleased with our meal and had such a great time and experience at Blanco. We visit Coronado Beach often so this will definitely be our new post-beach meal spot in the future. Very much looking forward to trying other items on their menu!

Yelp
I placed a takeout order. The server was nice and even gave me water while waiting. He also made sure I have utensils. Thank you.

Yelp
We stopped in here during our walk around Coronado. Was looking for something quick-ish to eat and walked by Blanco. Stopped in and wasn't too busy. Loved the openness because you could smell the ocean. Seemed like Tex-Mex food, I know we're in San Diego, and it's probably not, but I don't know what else to compare it to. I ordered a chimichanga which was a pretty nice portion. Food was ok, but I might not be the best judge, since I'm not really a big Tex-Mex food fan. My bf wanted to stop in. He enjoyed his enchiladas. Overall, friendly staff!

Yelp
lanco offers a casual and inviting atmosphere with notably friendly staff who contribute to a positive dining experience. The service is attentive and welcoming, which definitely enhances the overall vibe of the place. In terms of the food, the flavors are decent--nothing particularly bold or standout, but generally satisfying. Prices are reasonable, making it a fair option for a relaxed meal out. However, if you're looking for an authentic Mexican culinary experience, Blanco may fall a bit short. The dishes lean more toward a modern or Americanized interpretation of Mexican cuisine, lacking the depth and traditional richness that define authentic Mexican food. Overall, it's a pleasant spot for a casual bite, but not the go-to for purists seeking true Mexican flavors
google avatar

Evangelia G.

Yelp
My new favorite spot in town for Mexican food! This is my second time here and I got the same exact dish because it's so yummy. I wish I remembered the name of our waitress, she was so attentive, kind and welcoming! Upon being seated, you're given chips and salsa, and the salsa is perfectly tasty and spicy. I got the carne asada fajitas, and if you're between this dish and any other....get this one lol...unless you're vegan it's so flavorful, tangy and seasoned so well. Pro tip, ask for it cooked medium as I feel that brings out the most flavor! I also got the charro beans (rather than the pinto or black beans) and a side of rice. My mango margarita was spicy and strong, both good things! My friends got tacos, which consisted of mahi mahi, ground beef, and shrimp. Theirs came with beans and rice, and they all loved them. Overall, this is a place I love coming back to, and can't wait to bring more friends.

Yelp
THIS IS MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT??? - I went here 3 times in 5 days in SD. it might be my fav place in san diego.. in california..? maybe in this year?? I know that sounds wild BUT hear me out the chips are made in house and aren't overly salty, the salsa that goes with it is phenomenal, THEY GIVE FREE REFILLS, and the enchilada plates are insanely good. something about their rice and beans hit different- they're charro beans so something w bacon? and the rice is so creamy it's like a light risotto almost, I don't know how to explain but this is the best place ever like -ambiance is great, nice outdoor seating mix, cute booths cute table and chairs -service is FANTASTIC. I went here multiple times in a wk and even w different waiters they were all extremely attentive and brought chip and salsa refills without being asked, I live for this -reasonable prices!! -free chips, and did I say free chips. idk that's not normal in seattle who even goes to one place 3 times in a wk??? me, and this is the place. obsessed. I want to petition to get it in Washington. amazing

Yelp
It was refreshing to walk into this modern Mexican and find an airy open space with ample tables and room at the bar. We were welcomed quickly and efficiently by the host and greeted warmly by our server. We had the Avocado Caesar Salad with Grilled Mahi, Pork Chile Verde Enchiladas and the Crunchy Taco Salad. The ingredients were noticeably fresh and flavorful. The portions were generous without being overwhelming. The grilled mahi was the standout as the fish was so tender and juicy. It was a great healthy and incredibly delicious meal!

Yelp
First time having brunch here. Huge shout out to Hailey and Troy who made the experience even better. Hailey was prompt, and offered great food suggestions. Troy was so kind to our kids and gave us a delish of a hot sauce made in house. We love this place right on the island!

Yelp
Great service, food was very good-had the short rib bowl and spicy skinny margarita. Mahi tacos were very good as well. Quite loud unfortunately. Otherwise a 5 star.

Yelp
I added skirt steak to the bowl for protein. The steak was pretty chewy and tough & it wasn't even well done. The vegetables were crunchy instead of soft but the flavors were nice. The server recommended it and it was pretty good but I most likely wouldn't order it again. The restaurant is very nice and clean.

Yelp
First visit and ordered #GreenChileSmashedBurger which was yummy their #Sangria was smooth and delicious. Service was prompt, friendly and pretty attentive. Parking was painful and decided to park by the boats and walk it. It was on the chilly side with construction going on but air felt good. Got me a coffee at #BetterBuzz on the way back to the car and enjoyed the scenery.

Yelp
Food was delicious, there were 5 of us and we each got something different and there were no leftovers. :-) hubby and I each enjoyed a drink. The espresso martini was amazing! We had our dogs with us and they were extremely accommodating and happy to have them. Overall a lovely Sunday afternoon luncheon.
