"The Mexican restaurant at Fifth + Broadway brings a new margarita destination for Broadway visitors and downtown residents alike. It’s a no-brainer to venture away from the standard or skinny margarita here and toward its fun flavors like jalapeno and pineapple, mango, and smashed strawberry and mandarin. Blanco also offers up frozen margaritas to pair with its chimichangas, fajitas, and a la carte tacos." - Bailee Mulder

Came in for a birthday dinner. Very cute spot. Good for date night or night out with friends. Our waitress was Karen, and she was A1. Very attentive and sweet as could be. Food and drinks were so tasty. Must try the guacamole. Those caramelized onions set it off. Everything we ordered was full of flavor, and we would definitely go again. restrooms were clean, too. If ever downtown, check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Google
An unexpected gem that completely exceeded our expectations. We were walking down Broadway St. and decided to stop in, not knowing anything about the place. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was friendly and seated us right away. Service was quick and attentive throughout. The food? Exceptional. The drinks? Spot on. And the atmosphere had just the right energy to round it all out. A great surprise and one I’d highly recommend.

Google
I really enjoyed the vibe of this restaurant. When we arrived they wanted to seat us at this high top table at the front door which we knew was a no, so we requested to be at a booth and they quickly accommodated our group of 4. Once seated our server immediately took our drink and appetizer orders. I ordered a Mango Stand Cocktail, which is basically a spicy mango margarita and it was delicious. I especially loved that it was garnished with a dried mango slice! *Chefs Kiss!* For my appetizer, I ordered the Mango Ceviche! OMG!! It is absolutely amazing! If I weren’t traveling I would have purchased more to take home! I could have just ordered that and nothing else!!! It was pure bliss and instantly put me in my happy place!! Why they lost a point… My main dish was very lackluster! I ordered the Shrimp Scampi Fajita as a bowl. First, the shrimp and the sauce on it were not hot. You could tell the dish was plated in waves, as some of the rice and beans were hot and some not. Also, scampi sauce is supposed to be a butter sauce, this sauce was thick and creamy which actually took away from the dish! It wasn’t hot and wasn’t all that great and everyone at the table agreed that the rice was way too salty! So all in all not a bad place to visit if you’re in downtown Nashville. The service was excellent. Atmosphere was vibing. I love the decor! The Mango Ceviche was top notch, but maybe I should not have requested my Shrimp Scampi Fajita be a bowl! That was definitely not it!

Google
This place is amazing! From the atmosphere of the restaurant all the way down to the cleanliness of the restaurant. Everything was amazing! We went for a birthday party for a friend of ours. I have severe food allergies not only did the chef come out and talk to me. He advised me that everything is made from scratch and that they can customize things to fit your dietary restrictions. This restaurant takes food allergies very serious. The chef went above and beyond. The chef made all of my food his self to make sure nothing was contaminated. He made me a special fajita meal. The food is absolutely delicious. Great for people with food, allergies. The staff is super friendly and absolutely amazing 10 out of 10. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. The food portion sizes are huge. You get a lot of food for your money.

Google
This restaurant will go to my favourite list. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and happy to help. I got mango tint cocktails- when I was sitting I was paying attention, I believe everyone who was coming was ordering this drink. It my favourite cocktail. Food is incredible- Nacho and the Queso is highly recommended I got two choice of taco. I guess I ordered pork bbq and shrimp. I liked the pork but shrimp had no favourite. Menu said grilled but I personally didn’t like it. But alone with the rice and street corn was ultimate. We ordered a desert. I’m not sure of the name- it had fruits and I believe it was having so kind of coffee favour. It was soooooo yuuuummmyy

Google
My roommates and I went here for lunch and were so impressed. These were the best tacos we've had! I got the beef tacos, and they were perfectly portioned and delicious. Our server, Alex, was incredibly nice and helpful—she was very attentive, and our food came out so fast. We also got a pitcher of spicy skinny margarita, and it was delicious. The place had a cute indie vibe, with a charming interior and a cute bar area.

Google
Good non-traditional Mexican food on Broadway with a large full bar. Ask to add any of the meats to the Warm Queso, or the Avocado Caesar Salad. The Combo Platter has a cheese covered, folded corn tortilla as a “filler”. Service is good.

Chips guac and queso was really good and loved their tacos but def lot bigger than I expected!! Wish they did a bit better with vegetarian options

Yelp
I came here as part of a large group (two tables worth). The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. This place stayed busy every time I passed by it, a great location! The décor was fantastic, I loved all the live plants and it had a very calming atmosphere. The food: I got the carne asada which had amazing flavor! I devoured it. The cocktails were equally delicious. No one from either table had any complaints on their dishes.

Yelp
I visited Blanco Cocina during a recent trip to Nashville. I didn't realize it was a national chain until I got back to Chicago. My little brother was celebrating his birthday, so we were bar hopping, eating and drinking at many restaurants along the way. Blanco happened to be our first stop. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The decor is modern and aesthetically pleasing. I don't recall her name, but our waitress was awesome. She was attentive and friendly. We happened to visit during taco week, so we all ordered the featured $5 taco. If I recall correctly, they served the carnitas taco. It was pretty good. We also had drinks. I had the frozen mango margarita, which was okay. My brother has worked as a bartender in the past, and he told me there was too much sour mix in my drink. I knew it didn't taste right, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Everyone else enjoyed their drinks for the most part though. Overall, we had a wonderful time. I'd return to Blanco Cocina in Nashville or another city.

Yelp
Ambiance is gorgeous. Modern and chic but grounded with lots of art and plants. I had the chicken fajitas which had a wonderful citrus marinade, perfectly caramelized onions and house made corn tortillas; get the eloté as the side. You won't regret it! My husband had the carne asada burrito. Packed full of delicious meat and black beans with a light sauce on top. We washed it all down with their signature Cadillac Margarita and the white Sangria! Strongly recommend!

Yelp
Food was spot on and flavors were unique and delicious. Street corn and lime rice the perfect combination. Portion sizes were more than enough.
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
We loved Blanco Amd ate lunch here twice on our recent trip. My favorites were the chips and salsa and the chicken fajitas (no peppers) . Everything was fresh and tasty. Our servers were both helpful and offered suggestions. They were also great with our food allergies. The restaurant is open and artsy. We would recommend and visit again.

Yelp
We went on a recommendation and the recommendation was well received. Sat at the bar. Mackenzie was so sweet and informative. Being our first time in we appreciated that. Also, not all bartenders are very nice or helpful DT so it was a welcomed change of pace. Really set a good vibe for the day. Thx Mackenzie! Ordered the shirt rib crisps - hot damn!!! It's BIG and it's Delicious! We split that then spilt the mahi tacos. Fish was grilled to perfection. Great fresh slaw. Some of the best rice I've had. This will be on our regular rotation when DT.

Yelp
Ambiance: cute, modern, not too loud. Service: our waiter was great and knowledgeable. I told him the drink I was considering getting and the type of drink I liked, and he suggested an alternative based on what I said. I got a spicy pineapple margarita based on his suggestion and it was perfect. The only service downside was the person who brought our food out (not our waiter) when we asked for condiments and a forgotten side, and she seemed irritated and got snappy. Food: I had the short rib enchiladas and they were absolutely amazing. Some of the best enchiladas I've had. Seasoned, tender meat, and piping hot. Not a huge portion, the perfect size. If you like Mexican, this is a great spot!
google avatar

Yelp
Inadvertently tagged the wrong restaurant. Please disregard. Thanks to the manager of Blanco Cocina for the point out.
google avatar

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
As a Texan - I was quite pleased! Their mango ceviche slaps!! Our server was kind and knowledgeable. The food was so good and tasted fresh. The margarita actually had fresh limes and agave and nothing added which was fabulous. Good salsa and chips were served at the table as well. Overall it was nice inside as well with a pleasing aesthetic and good music selection, too!

Yelp
From the food, to the decor, to the service, this restaurant is everything you could hope for and more! We made a reservation, and despite running 20 minutes late, they were able to hold the table for us. I was there for a bachelorette party, and the bride has Celiac, so she can't eat gluten. Our waiter also happened to have Celiac, and he informed us that they have a gluten-intolerant friendly kitchen. For starters, we ordered guac and queso. Unlike a lot of Mexican restaurants, the queso tasted fresh and had a much thinner consistency, indicating that high-quality cheese was used. The guac was so fresh that by the end of the night, it was brown. I also enjoyed the chips, which were not overly salted. We also ordered a pitcher of skinny margs, which our waiter had recommended. They had rose pedals and elderberry, which was good, but it really just tasted like a regular skinny marg. I ordered the Chicken Tinga bowl, and it was packed with flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly and the corn added a sweet balance to the saltiness. I was also impressed with the service. One of our friends arrived 10 minutes after we received our food. Our waiter promptly took her order, and it was out of the kitchen within 10 minutes of him taking the order. There are some negatives here. The first being that it's on Broadway, so you will need a reservation because it gets packed. The second is that the prices are ridiculous. The pitcher of margs that served 6 was $75. Our friend also ordered a single marg, and it was $25. Our waiter also tried to do a lot of upselling so definitely watch out for that because it can add up fast. Despite the prices, the food and atmosphere are absolutely worth it.

Yelp
The gals at the Bar Mackenzie and Ari were by far the BEST SERVERS. So nice helpful and all around just so great. We got the background of all the fresh ingredients they make and serve for the food and cocktails. What an amazing experience with these two amazing gals! They deserve some kudos for sure.

Yelp
We decided to go to this place for dinner before a concert. We didn't have to make a reservation and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The space was very big. They had a restaurant week menu to our surprise and I always like participating in that. Theirs was 3 courses for $40. I ordered a nonalcoholic blackberry agua Fresca. It was very good and tasted like a mojito. For my 3 courses, I got queso, their short rib burrito and the tres leches. I couldn't finish. It was so much food. I had an entire 2nd meal and the dessert to take. I highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Molly L.

Yelp
The best Queso and the best tres leches cake I've ever had in my entire life!!!... this place, definitely does not disappoint. You will not regret coming here.
google avatar

Cj P.

Yelp
I gave them three stars because the service is good. They are very quick and friendly. It is also a cute establishment. However, this is simply some of the worse Mexican food I have ever had in my life. Nothing we ordered was good. We didn't finish our food, we took it to go and threw it away. I ordered the short rib chimichanga and it is covered in what appears to be American cheese. I have never had a chimichanga that had that kind of cheese. The flavor of the food isn't good either, everything is really salty. I'm surprised by all of these good reviews. This place is not good and I will not come back.
google avatar

Treana A.

Yelp
Came in after work because of the salad sign and glad I did. The food was great. And the mezcal old fashion was a perfect pairing. Even though it was loud it was quiet if that makes any sense. I didn't have to yell to speak with my party but the energy from everyone was great. My server was so patient and made great recommendations. Even though the salad picture made me walk in the menu had so many great options. I will be returning as it was also economical which on broadway isn't always a thing.
google avatar

Bethany C.

Yelp
Lots of choices for food on Broadway, but this is a "can't miss" for upscale Mexican food. Beautiful restaurant with a cozy vibe. Server made several recommendations. We chose poblano shrimp enchiladas and a combo platter to try several items including bean tostada, beef taco, and cheese enchilada. Everything was excellent including fresh chips, salsa, and great queso. Great menu, great service, great restaurant!
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
This spot is fun and people are friendly. It's high energy and a good vibe. My drinks I loved were strong and flavorful. Chips and salsa were on point. It was clean and well lit. Plus it's in a central area where the night life is. I recommend and when I return I will come again. I hope you enjoy your experience here as much as I did.
google avatar

Ritu D.

Yelp
We came with a large party and they gave us warm chips and a nice spicy salsa to start. They kept replenishing the chips and salsa without us asking. The space was large and open with dining tables and a bar area and gender neutral washroom stalls at the back. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. For my vegan gluten free meal they gave me a salad without cheese or meat , but with guac and black beans. It was fine.
google avatar

Kailey R.

Yelp
First meal in Nashville! Allison was a great server. I got the fried avocado tacos with rice and sub street corn! (Thank you for suggesting that because I was torn between the corn app and the tacos) everyone loved their food. Good options for vegetarians. The watermelon margaritas with chili rim were amazing. 10/10 recommend
google avatar

Hiral P.

Yelp
Some of the worst, if not the worst, Mexican food I've ever had. The rice was so mushy and watery. So gross. The mahi and chicken tacos were ok, but they were not warm when they came out. Felt like they had been sitting out for 10 or so mins. Food at restaurants isn't appetizing if it's cold. The chicken tinga burrito and bowl were not good. The sweet potato enchilada was not good either. The service was below average. Asked for plain club soda and she brought ginger ale. In general, the drinks took forever to come out. Waitress was nice but super slow even though it wasn't even that busy. The only reason I'm giving 2 instead of 1 star is because the vibe was fun. They also give parking by validation for the 5th and Broadway garage if you ask.
google avatar

Coddy A.

Yelp
I want to say that this place is ok but really busy and the food is ok. Drinks are better.
google avatar

Cam L.

Yelp
This is why I love shrimp. I got the shrimp tacos, 9/10, a the shell was a little weak. My brother got the spicy mango ceviche, 10/10. We also got a guacamole 100/10! It cost $14 but it was worth it. I got a passion fruit sweet tea, 13/10, cost $4 but worth it. The waitress was really nice, but it did take her a few tries before she brought me my tea. And I loved the scenery, actually more than love it.
google avatar

Narine T.

Yelp
This was a great spot in Nashville. Food was great and so were the drinks. We stopped here for lunch and left stuffed and drunk.
google avatar

Camilla J.

Yelp
Great fresh Mexican and Margaritas right on Broadway! Not over priced (like many downtown places). Very friendly and skilled bartenders as well as servers. It is surprisingly easy to get a table, and I really recommend coming here both for lunch and dinner.
google avatar

Angela D.

Yelp
Jessica was such an amazing server! We absolutely LOVED our meal oh my gosh! The cheese crisps are a MUST. We got the short rib one and the pork one.... Omg. SOOOOOO flavorful and delicious!
google avatar

Brooke s.

Yelp
This was a ~less~ crowded restaurant on Broadway on a Saturday afternoon. Decided to sit at the bar and had great service; the bartenders checked on us frequently. Our food did take awhile to come out. The meals were delicious. The chopped salad was very good, but was drenched in dressing which made it less enjoyable than it could have been. The chips were warm and the guac was yummy. Classic margarita- delicious!! Everything a bit pricey, but that's what you get downtown.
google avatar

Ivana S.

Yelp
This restaurant is on broad street and right next to twelve thirty club, there was no live music which was kind of nice! Service was great we really didnt know what to order but the waitress helped me out. I got one avocado taco and one shrimp. I will say we eat a ton of mexican food and whatever slaw or toppings were on my tacos were amazing. My husband loved his burrito but believe me get the tacos! We got two rounds of their house margaritas. They weren't too sweet and not too strong. Just perfect! Price was ok since it was on the main strip so if you are looking to get mexican food- come here!!
google avatar

Heath Y.

Yelp
Food was great, service was great, and atmosphere was good. Nothing blew me away about this place but I have no complaints. Short rib enchiladas were pretty good, although portions were maybe slightly smaller than what you pay for
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
The place itself is cute and centrally located but we didn't have the greatest experience. Service was super slow, I think we only saw our waitress twice the whole meal and we were trying to track her down half of it. We ordered the nachos which were delicious, not too much topping and sauce the ratio was perfect. The chicken tacos on the other hand were just okay. Super dry and said pineapple but there was one little piece and that bite was delicious but the others could've used some sort of sauce or additional pineapple. The Mexican street corn side was great so that was a positive. Drinks were okay (had the Cadillac marg) and burrito was just okay. Nothing to write home about.
google avatar

Meredith J.

Yelp
This was on of our favorite places. We went twice while in Nashville. It's a good place to escape the noise for a bit. The bartenders were great. The place is beautiful. The Chips and Salsa is very good. We enjoyed the Warm Queso too. We also tried the ground Beef tacos and the Mahi tacos. We would definitely go back for another round. It's right across the street from where the Predators play. It's fun to watch all the people coming in and out on game day wearing their Predator merch.
google avatar

Brian N.

Yelp
Service and food was awesome! The crisps are so good! Drinks were well made as well!
google avatar

Jeremy R.

Yelp
One of the many higher end restaurants fighting for your business on Broadway in Nashville. This one had good food, a little pricy but that's expected, good service, and a clean restaurant. Nice lunch before heading to the airport, thanks!

Bella D.

Yelp
Love the ambiance!!!! Such a cute dinner spot, great drinks, and amazing food! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a cute Mexican spot!

Georgia E.

Yelp
Best rice I've ever had. I got the shrimp tacos. So good. But seriously you guys the rice is so good. Highly recommend!

Patti H.

Yelp
The service was great, the food and margaritas were delicious and the tres leches cake was delicious. Such a great atmosphere and the ceilings were not open space. We could actually talk and hear each other. Loved it!
google avatar

August W.

Yelp
I recommend a reservation on a busy night. We hopped in for an early dinner, were quickly seated and served our cocktails. The tables aren't overly comfortable. While it was decorated nicely, it was rather warm and we didn't linger long after our drinks and dinner were done. I wish I had taken pictures of my tacos but they were so good they disappeared before I even thought to take a picture. While I wouldn't rush back for a 2nd meal, the food and cocktails were adequate. The price was a little high, but not unexpected for Broadway.
google avatar

Yasmin Y.

Yelp
The service was excellent. Atmosphere was cool. Loved the decor. Would be a nice setting for a ladies night out or weekend brunch. The food and drinks were delicious and flavorful. We ordered the street corn, mahi tacos, shrimp tacos and ceviche... as I'm writing this post I realize we never received the ceviche. Super fun place!
google avatar

Rose Y.

Yelp
We had been here but it had been a while. We had family visiting so we agreed to meet up here. Unfortunately they were in a car accident while they were pulling up to find a place to park. Our waiter & the rest of the staff were so understanding. We tried to wait for them for dinner but the towing of their car etc took too long. We had an amazing dinner and drinks were on point. Amazing customer service. Will definitely be back sooner than planned. Our waiter told us that he is usually a bartender so we will be back for the bar service for sure! He was amazing!!!
google avatar

Mia S.

Yelp
Great spot for Dinner and Drinks before attending an event at Bridgestone Arena. Favorite Dishes: Grilled Avocado Tacos, Jalapeño and Pineapple Margarita
google avatar

Kimberly T.

Yelp
One of the best, Mexican restaurants I've gone to. They have amazing Mexican street corn. Their nachos and Carne Asada fajita was so delicious. They also have really good Margaritas can go wrong. Just come Hungry . Also, the customer service was excellent. Super nice and friendly and fast
google avatar

Christine E.

Yelp
Highly recommend making reservations due to its central location on Broadway. We went prior to a concert at Bridgestone arena, had reservations at 6pm and were seated shortly after 6. Great service, excellent food and the atmosphere was fun. Chips and queso with a pitcher of margaritas were the perfect way to start. Everyone enjoyed their food! Definitely looking forward to going back.

Yelp
Blanco Cocina + Cantina may have been one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. The service, food and environment were all fantastic. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Fajitas, and it tasted very fresh and was plenty of food. To drink I got Frozen Margarita which came out with a fun straw and paired nicely with the food.   The restaurant itself was large with plenty of seating. It was nicely decorated and bright which made it a nice environment. The service was also fantastic, the server was kind, quick and diligent. If you are looking for a place to eat you can't go wrong with Blanco Cocina + Cantina.
google avatar

Tim A.

Yelp
Totally enjoyed our experience at Blanco's. Food and service were excellent. Even manager Brandon stopped by the table and refilled my empty spicy margarita. The street corn is a must. Allison our server was amazing.
google avatar

Lexie M.

Yelp
If I could give the service six stars, I would!! My friend has an onion allergy, and chef Mike went out of his way to accommodate her allergy. He even mashed up avocados for her and brought the food out personally. Our waitress Courtney was amazing, as well. She gave recommendations and was so quick and personable. Best place we've been to in Nashville, by far. Also, the food is AMAZING.
google avatar

Julia B.

Yelp
Nice meal. The mahi tacos had lots of fish but lacked flavor. The margaritas were great and the service was beyond amazing.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
Yum! We all love our food here. The short rib bowl was delicious and the guacamole tasted very fresh. The staff was friendly and service was quick despite being prime lunch hour. Great place to go for a meal if you're in the downtown Nashville area!
google avatar

Danie L.

Yelp
The chips and salsa seemed to be from a jar and bag. Definitely not fresh. We had the ceviche, it was very good. Nicely seasoned and prepared well. Shrimp tacos were tasty, but there was a lack of shrimp; 4 small shrimp in each of the 2 tacos. The chicken tinga bowl was very delicious. But like the tacos, there was a small portion of protein. The service was a little disorganized. It seemed like the runner and the wait staff didn't communicate with each other. We requested some salsa and hot sauce from multiple staff members and no one brought either item. The price that they are asking for is a bit much for what you receive. Spending $100 is a bit much for lunch.

Christie A.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Environment was nice. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, and the server recommended a different variation in a loud environment that was hard to hear. Once we received the bill we found an undisclosed significant upcharge. When we asked about the charge, there was only an apology with no offer to rectify the situation. After further pressing for a manager we were told she would speak with her GM to see what could be done, but unfortunately we had to leave before she was able to come back with a response. Would like to give the benefit of the doubt that they would have tried to rectify the situation. For tourists, beware- we felt like it was an opportunity for the server to take advantage of Out-of-towners. Otherwise the experience was great.

Yelp
So we were cruising through the Broadway area of Downtown Nashville where you can find not shortage of Honks ink bars and food places and decided to give Blanco Cocina + Cantina a shot. We weren't looking for Tex Mex type food but the restaurant looked inviting had plenty of room and tables to spare so we inquired and were seated pretty quickly. This place was jumping but much larger than most places on the strip. Truth be told we started at Hattie B's just up the block but the line went around the corner and we really were not in the mood to stand in the heat. This restaurant was pretty cool and the decor is very nice as well. All the staff were very nice and provided recommendations as well seeing as this was our first time here. For appetizers we went with the Queso con Carne and chips which was great and fresh. For main course we went with the Pork Enchiladas and the Mochaca "Beef" and Gaucamole crisp Mexican pizza. Both were awesome and very tasty. We did not try out the bar on this occasion but as you can imagine the drinks were flowing and the bar was jumping. Full bar and from what I could tell they had a little bit of everything being served. Weekends are pretty busy on the strip as you can imagine so if you don't want too much activity you may want to try them out on a weekday. Highly recommend you park way off the strip in a public parking garage or preferably UBER over to the stop. Broadway is a mad house and driving there is not for the rain of heart either. Better to UBER so you don't have to worry about drinking.... Anyway, we really enjoyed this restaurant and I suspect you will to if you like Tex Mex and you food. All prices were also very reasonable as well. We managed to get out for $52 plus tip, which seems pretty affordable to me for being in the heart of the strip. Feel free to give them a visit and O hope this helps. Enjoy cowboys and cowgirls and Bon Appétit!
