Blank Restaurant

Fantastic food and drink pairings (both alcoholic and non alcoholic), first rate service and presentation of dishes. We enjoyed the way both the world wine and the non alcoholic wine flight were used as an introduction to each course. It was such fun trying to guess what the next course would be as our sommelier described how the drinks would enhance the flavours of the food to come. It was my birthday celebration and not only did I get a card but also a small edible birthday surprise at the end - a beautiful delice with a candle on top! What was so amazing was that the two drink flights looked almost identical. Would definitely recommend this for a special occasion.

Fantastic tasting menu, it may be my new favourite in Belfast! Wine pairing complements the dishes very well, when we go back we will be having it again. We had the 5 course tasting menu and the signature wine pairings, be prepared as this was extremely filling! Very balanced flavours, lovely chill atmosphere and a great idea in terms of using produce from the island of Ireland.

We were excited to try a fine dining restaurant in Belfast. Most dishes very well executed and tasty. Particularly liked the fish (cod?) dish and the lamb. Dessert was unfortunately memorable for the wrong reasons - the white chocolate shell is very thick especially in the centre and it was difficult to break into it without making a mess on the table. Sorbets seemed a little underpowered in terms of flavour. Overall though we had a lovely dinner.

The food was good. Service was atentive but felt a bit rushed. Not really a five course menu as we got four courses with a sorbet. I totally get the inflationary pressures facing all restaurants but I just don't think this was worth the £70 price for the tasting menu. I enjoyed the experience but won't be returning.

Wow. Where do I start. From the gin cocktail mixed by Christian right through to the very end, the meal was five star. Alex and Christina were wonderful waitstaff/ sommeliers who guided us through the meal from start to finish. The Amuse Bouche, the pigeon, the chicken were perfectly sauced and balanced, on a quiet Thursday night, the attention to detail was perfect. And excellent wine list, and suggestions from Christina to match the cheese course was spot on. I can’t rate Blank highly enough! Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

I was very impressed with the staff, they had a card for my girlfriend’s 30th and presented her with a little cake (complete with candle) at the end of the night to mark the occasion. We went for the 6 course meal option and while some dishes were not jaw dropping they were all tasty and worth the experience. The duck was a particular stand out. We went for cocktails and a bottle of wine and there was an incident with a glass of wine which they rectified to our satisfaction. Really, for me, the staff are a huge part of my enjoyment and here they are 10/10. The food and drink is expensive but you know this going in, I’d go here over muddlers club though. Great night out!

A rare dining experience filled with interesting and delicious food and wine. Service was exceptional and before we knew it we had been sat at our table for over 4 hours! Remarkable!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Blank. The service was excellent, courses are timed really well, perfect amount of time between each one. The food was amazing, particularly loved the seatrout dish.
