A no thrills restaurant but what felt like a genuine taste of Colombia. Had a meal combo starting with an amazing fish soup. My friends had the seafood soup, also nice but I personally preferred the fish (salmon) soup (just a matter of personal taste). The soup comes in quite a big bowl, so go with an empty stomach!
Followed by a main meal of rice, grilled meat of your choice, fried plantain, a very small helping of salad and home-made sugar cane juice or drink of choice.
Background Colombian music and Colombian customers are regular (a good sign).
It's not an area that would come to mind when considering where to eat, but I was invited by friends, and I am glad I went. A nice little find.
Customer service came with limited English today. I'm not sure if it is always like that (but we had a Spanish speaking friend, which helped). However, the menu is self-explanatory, and all allergy info was available on the wall.
It's definitely worth a visit.
Customer service is not too bad (not friendly or unfriendly). They were keen for us to leave once we finished eating and originally wanted the 3 of us to sit on a small table for two, but we stood our ground and overcame any resistance and enjoyed our experience overall.
Combo is around £14 each. Not bad at all!
It is not a Michelin style meal but definitely not a disappointment. I really enjoyed.
