Blaue Traube

We just had dinner there. It was below average food, barely seasoned, just bland. The waitress was socializing with other customers way too long at another table after we had asked for the bill previously. This is rude and unprofessional. Therefore we didn't give her a tip.

Stayed for 2 weeks and Everything was great. The food was so good, no one wanted to eat anywhere else. The Family Kresser went out of their way to make us feel welcome....She even started breakfast an hour early for us. The do speak English, though not perfectly....It is certainly better than my German!||My room was clean and efficient, bathroom a little small....But manageable.||My room did overlook the Courtyard dinning area.....So some nights the noise can be a little too much when trying to turn in early....But it usually quiets down between 23-24:00.||And if it hadn't been the hottest week of the year closing the window would help.||They do not offer laundry service so you may want to make arrangements for that, if you are staying for a long period. Everything in downtown Wangen is convenient to the Hotel.

It is terrific to find and place like this in the quaint town of Wangen in Allgäu. The family owned restaurant has excellent traditional food, generous portions, modest prices and offers some of the best quality grown food in the region. The customer service is very friendly and this is I think what most people imagine what dining out should be. The location is just around the corner from the Main Street which has a beautiful setting. If you want to experience a small, quaint, family run hotel with a wow experience, then this is a great introduction to the beat of little Germany

We stumbled upon this hotel while on a recent 2 week vacation in Europe. We were tired after a day of driving and welcomed the clean and efficient room. The family that runs the hotel also went out of our way to make us feel welcome. We were leaving in the morning when they invited us to coffee and a light breakfast. They also mailed some letters and ensured the postage was correct. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

A typical local Hotel that doesn't try to be fancy - the food however was really delicious. We ended up ordering another extra main dish it was so good.

Hotel is centrally located but is still in a peaceful alley. Rooms are really spacious and have all the amenities one needs. Breakfast is good and the staff is really friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend stay at this hotel.

Nice and friendly location. Selected local dishes in excellent quality. Bring time and patience, service could be speedier, but kitchen is worth the wait

A very charming hotel in the heart of Allgäu. (Wangen im Allgäu). The Blaue Traube is really nice and relaxing hotel. Free WiFi and clean modern rooms. Easy parking and really GREAT Swabian(Schwaebische) food & wines! The hotel owners speak fluent English and are good people. I stayed in the rear, part of the 2nd (newer remodeled)hotel - slightly larger rooms and baths. I've stayed here twice and each time its been a great visit. They can count on me coming back every year!! Two big thumbs up! :-)
