Can Former SpaceX Engineers Improve Pizza, a Perfect Food, With Robots? | Eater LA

"I’ve noticed that the dough-pressing step used in Stellar’s process is already common in the industry—something you can see at Blaze Pizza—illustrating that some mechanized steps in fast-casual pizza production are not new." - Matthew Kang

It doesn’t get better than this when it comes to pizza in College Park! I came here for the first time on Pi Day when they have pizzas for only $3.14 !!!! I waited in a line that went out the door and around the corner and it was worth it (for the price). I got regular crust, Signature Sauce, mozzarella cheese, sausage, mushrooms, and onions. I sprinkled on some red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese. This pizza was SO GOOD. I was perfectly cooked even with the big rush in the restaurant. There was not one bland bite, and the ingredients stayed together like a pizza should be. I also tried their lemonade and blood orange lemonade. I recommend either and the blood orange flavor wasn’t overpowering at all. I tried the s’mores cookie (it was cookie and drink for $3) and it was good but I wouldn’t get it again. The workers were doing great for having to deal with hundreds of customers that day! Everything was in order and the process was easy. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and clean and went with the theme and logo of the place. Everything was great, especially the deal (they also gave people 20% off their next purchase), so Blaze Pizza gets 5 Stars!!!!

Google
This place is best and beautiful. Quick service, great taste. cheerful staff and really nice! Everything was good. I got was phenomenal. Blaze Pizza (BYO) and Cheesy Bread One of the most delicious, satisfying things I've eaten in a while.

Google
Food is great, service is top tier, prices are affordable. Punam was amazing and kind hearted. She crafted that pizza with love. I will never forget my pizza thank you

Octavia

Google
They get the drizzles wrong (forget it or add the wrong one) sometimes and lately don’t give the right sauce with the cheesy bread (spicy marinara vs regular). Don’t go when it’s busy (e.g., on pi day March 14 they had a bunch of deals and the pizza was okay almost bad)! The quality plummets. However, most of the time it is phenomenal. The pizza toppings are ample and fresh. The flavors are delicious and cohesive. The people are nice. When they take their time and take pride in the pies, it pays off big time. We go regularly and enjoy this place above ALL other pizza joints so far.

Google
The pizza is delicious, I can choose my own toppings, the dough is thin so it doesn't give that bloated feeling afterwards, everything is fresh and made on the spot, the place is clean and organized. Thank you!

Google
Thank you for existing, my mid nigh cravings are always fulfilled here, 100% recommend, love it here

Google
A very nice place to build your own pizza and then add lots of toppings for the same price. I tried the traditional dough, which is a thin base. I love the crispy crust and the rich flavor of toppings. The bake is fast so in no time the food is ready to enjoy. Love this place.

Isabela V.

Google
Blaze pizza is the best pizza you will ever find. For $12 a pizza you can get as many toppings as you’d like. The place is so clean and the employees are the best !!!!! I am always there and want everyone to know abt them! Definitely the best blaze location and best pizza in the DMV no doubt!

Yelp
Their pizza is delicious! I love the thin crust and baked to perfection. They have a good variety of toppings and I love their cauliflower crust. My family loves the hot honey drizzle on top. Absolutely delicious! Tonight I was having some difficulty with their online ordering process but one of their servers was nice enough to assist me to diagnose the problem. The facility is clean and bright and there weren't too many people. So service was very efficient. This is my go to close to home.

Yelp
This was my second time going to BLAZE PIZZA, and this experience was better than the 1st. The service was efficient, and they were using gloves etc...(the 1st visit, the person making my pizza wasn't-YUCK). The decor was vibrant with a dominant color of orange. The gluten crust Pizza was pretty good. Overall, i would recommend. I'm just deducting a STAR because of that horrible 1st visit. I'm glad I gave it a second chance.

Yelp
Impressed with their vegan pizza. My daughter is vegan but not me. I had a regular pizza with jalapeños and numerous veggies. Very happy all around.

Yelp
It was good but not great. Meatballs are not fresh and aren't seasoned well. The sauce tastes out of a jar. Pizzas are well cooked and service was fine. Seemed a bit disorganized in the kitchen.

Yelp
We stumbled on this unassuming restaurant in an unassuming strip mall in unassuming town in mid-Maryland. But we found gold! Blaze prepares pizza to order with dough made in-house that same morning and fresh ingredients. The crust is thin while still able to hold up the toppings. They have pizzas for the cheese lovers and for those (like me) that prefer more sauce, there are plenty of options. They have meat and they have veg. And most surprising was their super-fresh and delicious salad which can compete against any restaurant. If you are not super hungry, do like I did and get a half pizza and salad combo. On top of everything, all of the packaging and utensils are made with sustainable materials. I have had better pizza, yes, but this is near the top of my list.

Yelp
I came here multiple times as a student and then a few times as an alumni. Blaze is a personal made-to-order pizzeria. In the past they had $3.14 pies on Pi day, which had students lining up outside all throughout the day. Blaze pizzas are round and have thin crusts. So if that is the kind of pizza you like, Blaze has you covered. They also have plenty of available toppings. Basically how it works is you choose the toppings you want on your pizza and then they put it in the fire oven afterwards. Within a few mins your personal pizza is hot and ready to eat. It is a nice way to get a quick, fresh, hot meal on a budget. If you like them enough to come multiple times, they do have an app as well which you can earn rewards. But with the amount of pizza options in College Park, Blaze is not one I go out of my way to go to. Service is pretty bad. There was a time when I was the only one in the shop and I was waiting for at least 5mins while they made online orders. There were multiple employees there so I don't see why they would not take care of their walk in customers there and then. There used to be a competing personal pizza place called Lotsa but unfortunately closed after the pandemic. I personally liked Lotsa better than Blaze. Since it is located near UMD campus, parking is metered and very limited. Best to grab and go if you have a car. There is a good amount of seating indoors, but most like to eat their pizza at the outside tables or somewhere else on campus.

Yelp
I recently orders a couple pizzas at this location over the St. Patrick weekend, and it happened to be Pi Day. But imagine this: location brim-filled with people yet you are starving and mildly tipsy. While you are in line the worker, however, messed up your order and mixed up your pizza and the guy in front of yours. Righteously so, you'd be a little pissed as I was -- but understand that this day was particularly busy, the environment was loud, and EVERYONE was ordering two or more pizzas due to it being pi day. But let me tell you, on top of the food being delicious -- as I am eating the leftovers right now which tastes almost as good as the day I got them -- the customer service is ELITE. [4 stars] Shoutout to the manager Punan (I believe that is her name)! She quickly identified the issue, reorganized the team, and somehow served BOTH the guy in front me and I and remade our pizzas while steadying the length of the line. Crazy work I will say. I was so impressed by the efforts of this restaurant, that I just felt compelled to write this review. Not that she should be a micro-celebrity because of this, but I sincerely believe you guys should visit this location, even just to see how the pizzas are made or to meet the manager. In terms of the food (if that's what you want to hear only), it's pretty good -- crust and texture is superb. You don't have to believe me, but I'm sure you will miss out if you don't believe.

Yelp
pizza was ALRIGHT but the workers were not the friendliest and the wait time was abysmal, took over an hour for food to be ready, AT A PIZZA PLACE?!

Yelp
Ordered blaze for carry out and got an 11-inch build-your-own pizza. My creation featured spicy sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, pepperoni, sausage, green onions, red peppers, and more. The best part? The pizza had a thin crust, and the crust was wonderfully crunchy. While I enjoyed the spicy sauce, I couldn't help but wish it was a tad spicier. A little more heat would have taken this pizza to the next level. One minor concern was the carryout process. Orders were placed on a rack next to the soda fountain, and there wasn't anyone there to ensure you received your order. It felt a bit too trusting, and I worry that anyone can walk in and take an order that's not theirs.

Yelp
Blaze pizza is a thin crust build your own pizza. All the ingredients tasted clean and it's a pizza I can eat without guilt. The crust had good taste, texture, and was cooked perfectly. Although on one of my pizzas it lost some integrity and got soggy. I live 10 minutes aways and took my pizza home and it had little puddles. Only one of my pizzas had that problem and I'm guessing it was because it was the fresh mozzarella (balls and more wet). I would recommend avoiding that if you are not going to eat it in the store. Overall crust was good but could have been more crispy/ crunchy for a flat bread pizza. The red spicy red sauce was delicious and had great flavor and good spicy level. It wasn't too spicy to satisfy a spice lover but not too spicy for someone with low tolerance. Overall delicious and left a light tingle While the employee was putting spinach on my pizza, she looked up and asked if I still wanted it because some of the spinach's looked old/ crinkled, although not rotten. The meatball was a meat that stood out to me, it was delicious. They are not stingy on toppings like other build your own food places. The employee took time to generously place pepperonis all around the pizza. It was about $12 each which may seem high but is fair if you like a lot of toppings and the ingredients are high quality. The ambiance was a little awkward, no music playing, workers weren't talking, and not too many customers at the time I went. The restaurant was clean but isn't an aesthetic place to eat. Although service wasn't slow, the employees were moving slow although I understand it may have been a long day. The places to park nearby have parking meters, so it isn't free parking although you might not get caught for a quick order.

Yelp
I've ordered from this restaurant at least 5 or 6 times via DoorDash. At first the pizza was amazing but the last few times it just wasn't good. I decided not to order for a while because the fees add up and I'm not paying top dollar for subpar food. It's been about 6 months, so I decided to order for dinner. The quality has not improved, in fact, it's much worse. The pizza had way too many toppings which made the crust extremely soggy. To add insult to injury, some of the vegetables on the pizza were raw. I don't want to bite into crunchy pizza. I'm done for good with this place.

Yelp
Pizza tastes like plastic/rubber. Delivery driver left food at entrance to my apartment complex without calling to let me know she was there.
google avatar

June K.

Yelp
Inside is spacious with a lot of seating but the place still seemed disorganized. The workers are a bit cold and the topping bar was dirty as well. Parking isn't free but service was very fast. The green stripe specialty pizza was delicious with a plentiful of toppings. You can also get unlimited toppings for 10.95. Personally I think &pizza is better, especially with all their bogos and 5$ deals.. but blaze is still nice to grab a bite.

Dalissa S.

Yelp
I been in this location couple times, unfortunately today will be my last. Enter in the location smell so bad like suede men's very unpleasant smell. I was trying to eat there but I can't. There pizza is good depending the staff some of them fill there hand with ingredients and half way through through half of the ingredients back, you need to add them to add more but it's very uncomfortable is you paying for the food yes make right.

Yelp
They were THEE WORST!...I Did the door dash but my pizza arrived incredibly burnt. The pizza was so burnt that when I showed up at the location to return the pizza the on duty manager couldn't believe that it came from their location. With that being said, the manager only offered me a free drink.for paying doubled to do doordash and the inconvenience to for wasted gas and paying for parking in college park.thee only compensation the manager had to offer was a free drink...mind you...my pizza was burnt to crisp!.after spending over $30 for an $15 pizza.the store manager decided to give me 20% of my purchase.that was only about $4.So after speaking to another manager over the person whom was the store manager at that time.he gave me ONLY the price for the pizza..so I was still out the $10 that I paid for doordash. The pizza was DEFINITELY NOT worth it went through to get it!.. they didn't expect me to drive up to the location because I did doordash..it left a bad taste in my mouth as this was my first experience with them!..not a good place.

Yelp
Came to this location of Blaze for the first time for dinner on a Friday night. I ordered a two-for-two, with a half build-your-own pizza and a half build-your-own side salad, and hubby ordered a high rise crust build-your-own pizza. What's hot - Quality. Pretty good, especially their high crust. All their ingredients are pretty fresh, which adds to the flavor of their food. - Menu. Pretty good variety and options. For example, there's vegan cheese, in addition to bleu cheese, ricotta, mozzarella, and others. In terms of veggies, there's roasted garlic, broccoli, roasted peppers, artichokes, kalamata olives, and a variety of pizza meats. - Price. Pretty reasonable, especially given the quality and portions. A high rise crust is an additional $2.50, which is good value for money. An order for 1 person can be less than $20, which is pretty good. What's not - Service. Terrible. There were 6 staff there and it was obvious they weren't well-coordinated with a system and methods to get the job done. Hubby and I have been to other Blaze locations, which were run efficiently and effectively. This location is definitely not effective and efficient. This staff moved at a glacial pace and you could see they weren't very aware of the basics, such as getting the crusts prepared for the orders; who was going to prepare which order; and even the price of their menu. For example, hubby ordered a high rise crust build-your-own pizza. The only thing that cost extra is that it's a high rise crust. However, when I told the cashier of our order, he said the price isn't the same. Look at the menu, dude, because it is. With regards to their speed, my order was finished first. By the time I was halfway eating my food, my husband's order was finished. By the time my husband's pizza went into their fire oven, their manager came out to help. By the time their manager came out, the customer line wasn't moving. - Atmosphere. There's music playing loudly, which makes it very difficult to hear any of their staff. I repeatedly asked each person working on my order to repeat themselves multiple times, because they didn't speak loud enough over the music. My husband had to do the same. Either the music needs to be turned down or the staff need to be instructed to raise their voice to be heard over the loud music. Not cool and definitely not service friendly. - Layout. Their tables are bolted to the ground, so if you want to push some tables together, like my husband and I did in order to sit next to each other, you can't. Their tables are not wide enough for 2 people to sit next to each other. The layout is surprisingly not customer friendly. - Parking. There is a small parking lot, but everything is metered parking, which makes no sense, because it's such a small lot. Not to mention, we ended up spending more time there, because the service was so terrible. Final answer Food is delicious, but I will not be returning to this location and would not recommend this location, because of the terrible service.

Yelp
Looking for some great pizza but you're on a limited budget? Blaze Pizza is your spot!! They have a myriad of different crust, sauces, veggies (try the spicy meatless chorizo), and meats. They even have finishers like pesto and a garlic sauce. Let's not forget their delicious deserts and drinks!! Want a s'more pie $2.25!! The pie pictured is a build your own pie $9.95 at the 7914 Baltimore Ave., College Park location and the parking was easy. The customer service was on point as well, I was greeted and served very well. They are located EVERYWHERE though...check them out..trust...that's it.. **This establishment is Covid compliant**

Yelp
We ordered two pizzas one with regular crust and the others with cauliflower crust. The cauliflower crust was completely charred and not edible. I don't understand why they wouldn't just redo the pizza but instead they boxed it up and we didn't notice til we came home. Even the toppings were burnt . The other pizza barely had any cheese and all the toppings were on one side of the pizza. What a waste. Follow up: 07/31/22 I tried calling the store auto resolve my burnt pizza issue but the orrso. There kept hanging up in me. So know what the problem is but that is not acceptable. I then called their ordering service to get a hold of a real person and told them of my issue with getting help from some one at the store so they called the store for me and they were hung up on too. Totally unacceptable. Who has time for this stuff. No pizza and I'm out $$ and to add insult to injury I got hung up on several times.

Yelp
Ate lunch here and pizza was horrible no flavor in the sauce. at all tasted like store brought sauce. But the hand made thin crust was good.

Yelp
I ordered a pizza with pepperoni sausage bacon chicken pineapple onion roasted garlic and balsamic sauce. BAKED WELL DONE. SO GOOD
google avatar

Lauren D.

Yelp
Rude service and they forgot the bacon on my pizza which was one of their off the menu items so they definitely knew it was supposed to have it.

Yelp
Today is Pi Day and Blaze was sorely outmatched by their own promotion. This location was slow at one point they stopped taking orders. This is a college town and the semester is in full swing. You know that there is going to be an influx of customers and yet they were completely unprepared. The other issue is that it would have helped to have someone wipe down the prep area. I'm going to think long and hard about going back at anytime.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so wide and open, very clean! The service was quick! First, we were blessed by the person ordering before us because we saw you could put sauce on your crust?? (Okay, we've never been here before so we were pretty lost)... That being said, HIGHLY RECOMMEND the garlic pesto on the crust!! We got the original pizza with 2 toppings- absolutely delish! We will be coming here a lot more once the schoolyear starts :) (No shade but we really liked this pizza better than Lotsa)

Amanda R.

Yelp
I don't think they seem to know yet how to cook gluten free crust. The crust I got was pretty much raw, and doesn't even qualify as thin crust. It was paper thin and couldn't hold the few toppings on there. If it had been cooked properly that might not have been the case.

Lilian M.

Yelp
Great service. Friendly and efficient employees. Clean space, everything was stocked (extra spices at hand) Good food, build your own pizza is always the way to go.
google avatar

Yelp
It's been years of hearing all the rave about Blaze Pizza but a friend took me yesterday and I finally tried it for the first time. I love that you can really customize your pizza (including keto-friendly and/or vegan friendly crusts)! Stuffed crust is out, thing crust is in! I would definitely recommend the Green Stripe because it's so well balanced with proteins and vegetables. The beverages are great as well, my personal favorite was the Blackberry basil as it wasn't too sweet but still a refreshing tea based drink. Would recommend and will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious Pizza! You can choose a pizza with one or two toppings, one of the signature pizzas, or a build your own pizza. The signature pizzas and build your own pizzas are about $9 after tax. If you're very indecisive, you can go with one of the signature pizzas, or if you want to pick what goes on the pizza with unlimited toppings, then you should go with the build your own (BYO). You choose the crust (original, gluten free or high rise), the sauce, cheese, meats, and veggie toppings, and drizzles. Parmesan, Crushed Red Pepper and Oregano are in shakers placed around the restaurant. They even have hot sauce if you are feeling spicy! When I go to these type of personal pizza restaurants, I usually go with the BYO and get as many toppings as possible. Recently, I chose the spicy red sauce, which does have a kick, and the pesto garlic sauce, which wasn't evenly spread, but still very delicious. I also chose the feta cheese and Parmesan cheese, which comes more in a powder dust form. Then comes the meats! This location doesn't seem stingy on the proteins, since the chicken even comes is pretty large pieces. Before the pizza is cooked into the oven, I loaded it with veggies to increase my daily serving of vegetables because vegetables on pizza isn't so bad? After the pizza is nice and toasty, add some of that pesto drizzle for more flavor.

Yelp
First time here. It was amazing. Located near UM. A parking lot in front of the building. It sits in a plaza across from Potbelly. I chose the build your own pizza. They have some specialty pizzas on the menu also. The blood orange lemonade is to die for. Try it out! The staff was very nice. The restaurant was clean. They have lots of seating inside. You can also order through door dash. If you are a pizza addict like myself check them out.

Yelp
I've been dying to check a Blaze restaurant out for over a year. Lots of great reviews have come across my feed from fellow yelpers. I will have a lot of positive on this review, but enough negative I cannot get them to a 4. The local Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza for my area is Williamsburg, Va. While out of town I checked out this location on the campus of the University of Maryland with a large group. Parking is in front and sides by meter with a max of ninety minutes. Bring your change. The area outside had litter. My visit on a Friday around 5 PM. There were probably 4-5 in line and a few in seats enjoying a pie. The space is divided up into two spaces. Where to order with minimal seating and a good size dining room that can easily accommodate 50. I first scouted out seating for our group. Every table was dirty with napkin debris underneath. I wiped down myself and picked up trash with our party preparing to sit. Also music was very loud! I asked a staffer to please turn down. Ordering was very efficient. Menus are on the board and they have a wide variety of other pizzas to choose from. Keep in mind that they only offer pizza, no pasta, appetizers, or desserts. The pizzas are the same dimension with around six slices. Prices are fair. Drinks are fountain, lemonade and tea. No alcohol. Checkout was easy. The pies were cranked out quickly and this where Blaze excels. Our initial group of 10 had pizzas out in less than 15 minutes. What I did not care for was the system to wait. Even if eating in you wait and with loud music and a noisy room you cannot easily hear names being called. I could not hear two of my orders. Speaking of music it three request to turn it down before it occurred. I had a sausage and my son a pepperoni. I loved the crispy thin crust with delicious sauce. Parmesan and peppers are available to add. My son reported a yummy pie too! However, my son found a long black hair on the last slice. I reported to the manager who remade the pizza no charge. I never recall hearing I am sorry which was disappointing. I would return, but this was a rough visit on cleanliness. The entire time of a two hours of dine in not one employee was seen doing anything with regards to wiping a table down. The staff was fine and the pizza saved the day.

Yelp
I discovered Blaze Pizza in Florida a few years ago so when craving pizza on the road home from VA, Blaze seemed like the perfect place to stop. Realizing it was amongst a large university I set my expectations regarding how busy it would be and it was definitely busy. They appeared to be short staffed and on a really busy Sunday have a new person working the line alone. I'm patient so not a big deal. The issue was watching the care the employees took while making the pizza dough which translated to the care in creating the pizza. Right before I was to order, the young lady dropped the marker on the floor (it sat there a while) she picked it up with her gloves on and thought she was going to make my pizza, so THAT became a thing. Once we found a way to minimize the consumption of floor filth and I convinced myself that the heat from the oven would kill the rest, we went for the assembly ... as we walked down the line I notice cheese mixed in all the sauces ... sorry vegans this one is not for you, then I realized the cross contamination of items... example, I'm allergic to pineapple but they use the same gloves to continuously dig into each canister of toppings (basically blesses the people before me didn't order pineapple). My friend is vegan and gluten free but the special crust was not available, she dealt with it. Once we got our pizzas we had ANOTHER issue... the guy at the end of the line asked if she wanted a finisher on the pizza, she requested balsamic but he poured on pesto and his only resolve was to add the balsamic over the pesto. Again... she's vegan.. soooo If we weren't hungry and tired from the road I would have just walked out. There seemed to be only one capable person working that evening. Super disappointed.

Yelp
Walked in the store behind another person today. I stood in line and waited. After arriving to the front of the line was told "sorry we are closed". The person in front of me received a pizza but I was told I could not get one. After asking to speak to a manager the staff refused. Seriously??? I was able to purchase a drink though... after ordering my drink and sitting down, the staff proceeded to make themselves pizzas. So literally, everyone got a pizza in the store except me.
google avatar

Annie S.

Yelp
Good pizza with the option to build your own. Thin crust and wood fired. There is ample seating and staff is friendly! More importantly, they are open late.

Yelp
No idea what happened to this place but their standards have sunk hard. Used to love always going to blaze while I was a student at UMD, but my recent experience there was highly dissapointing. Went in at 10PM when they close at midnight and I could tell they werent happy to see me and my 2 friends, it felt like I was coming in during after hours. HALF OF THE STAFF WERE HANDLING FOOD WITH NO MASKS ON. Everyone seemed too busy on their phones or conversing with eachother, and one girl even just dropped my pizza with no apologies at all. (I waited 10 minutes to be ringed up at the cashier while the non line staff were just on their phones). Overrall the attitude of the staff made me feel extremely unwelcome and that they did not care and only wanted us to leave as soon as possible. My two friends ended up receiving free soda drink cups as courtesy for running out of most of the available toppings. I still had to pay for mine when they dropped my food and ended up spending almost a hour to finally get my food during empty service. If they werent going to give me a apology they couldve atleast given a small compensation.

Madison P.

Yelp
I love this place!!! So good every time!!! Totally recommend!!! I especially love the workers.

Ceeja L.

Yelp
I am a regular customer at this location, and I normally have good service. I ordered delivery through the website as usual. My pizza arrived with partially burnt crust and covered with burnt broccoli. The broccoli was so burnt that there was a burnt smell when you opened the box. I didn't understand why they wouldn't remake the pizza before boxing it up and sending it out in this condition to a customer! I tried to call the store but there was no answer. I submitted a complaint on the website, and I am awaiting contact, but was unable to upload photos...so I am doing it here. Although I was able to pick off the burnt broccoli, due to the crust being burnt this is all that I could taste. Unacceptable!

Yelp
I ordered a pizza with spicy sauce, pepperoni, arugula roasted garlic. It was bomb.com, I swear I'm going back

Yelp
Their pizzas are REALLY good. Little similar to Dominos I think, but way better quality. Very fresh ingredients. Love their customizable options. Their smores snack (don't remember what it's called) is a sin. It's a mouthwatering killer dessert. Can't go wrong with a simple-looking snack made to haunt you with addiction. Anyways HATE THIS COMPANY. Made me spill my drink because of a careless cup design! Would like to seek reimbursement! Note: My negativity has nothing to do with the young guy working there. He was super nice and offered to find me a bag for my drinks. It has everything to do with the company itself.

Yelp
You build it and it's just the right size. Love eating at this franchise when I'm out on the west coast

Yelp
Great pizza. The lemonade is a bit to sweet. If you fill your cu with ice and let it melt the lemonade will be just right.

Yelp
This was a good spot for lunch and me and my crew (wife and two small kids) enjoyed it. They had a great variety of toppings, including garlic cloves, various types of peppers, several types of cheese, and meats, as well as pesto and tomato sauce. We got three individual pizzas, and order of the knots, and a drink and it was less than $30 which is a good value. They lose a star for the knots, which were trying to be too fancy with the added pesto and cheese. Knots should be simple, rolled in a little olive oil, butter, salt, and garlic. If I wanted more cheese I'd order extra pizza! And I'd like to see a whole wheat crust rather than gluten free. Overall, a solid B+.

Yelp
I got a thing for Blaze pizza!! The thin crust is my favorite part! I am such a wood fired pizza snob that I can't eat regular oven baked pizza anymore...sad I know!!! This location in college park is not technically on campus, so students can't use there meal plan card. I like the Main Street location, but you have to pay for parking in this area, which is a bummer. I literally saw the meter man walking at 9:30 pm when I was walking into the restaurant. No problem .25 payed for 25 Minutes and there were 6 Minutes left on the meter so "winning" I always get the plain pizza. I liken myself to a purist in that respect. I've tried the other ones and this plain white pizza with cheese and the house pesto hits the spot every time. I also get arugula so I can feel healthy!!! The service was cool. The young ladies seemed spent and overly tired and they still had a few hours to go Still. They don't close until midnight and they apparently get out around one in the morning. The pizza was delicious as usual. It was my first time at this location, but I can vouch for this blaze as being good and clean. I will be back!

Yelp
Went to blaze pizza this past weekend with my brother, had a very good time and very delicious pizza. The people near the oven were so funny and chill with us (they were black and Hispanic guys). They were laughing and talking to us as if they knew us and even managed to give us a free drink because they ran out of s'mores pies and they seemed like they felt bad for us because we were Really looking forward to those. Meant to leave a review sooner but I was stuck on the good pizza. Definitely will be coming back very soon and I hope those two are near the oven again .

Yelp
Blaze Fast-Fired Pizza is a customizable quick serve pizza place for the College Park community. It's just as you'd expect for a place that caters to college students - fast, cheap, and meh. I would recommend you to customize your own rather than to pick a "signature pizza" so you could dictate how much toppings you'd want on your pizza. I ordered the BBQ Chicken signature Pizza. It was quite underwhelming. Weak on the sauce, heavy on the onions. It just didn't taste all that good. The only good thing about the pizza was the crust which had a nice satisfying crunch each time. The place has ample seating, but I think most everybody uses it as a to-go place. Would only come back if someone I knew really wanted to come here (for some reason).

Yelp
This my first time and I truly enjoyed the food. I especially enjoyed the fact that it's one price for unlimited toppings. In addition to the delicious pizza they offer scrumptious glaze to top off your pizza. The garlic knots and salad was yummy as well. I also had blood orange lemonade which was delish and not to sweet. I cant wait to come back :-)

Yelp
If a location rep sees this, I expect an explanation. I had a pizza tonight at this location, and quickly just showed my mom, who I was speaking to, the restaurant on FaceTime before leaving, since she hadn't seen it before. I was met with a worker running out of the restaurant after me when I was already fairly far away from the restaurant, screaming "what were you recording?" He left me alone after I told him I was literally just showing the restaurant to someone on FaceTime. This establishment's utter disrespect towards its customers is absolutely appalling. You get treated like a criminal rather than a patron simply for being on a FaceTime call. Having to worry about being chased out of a restaurant for something so harmless as this is sickening and shouldn't happen to any customer, who is supporting the business. The customer service has to be better, because such disrespect towards customers is completely unacceptable.

Yelp
The pizza is great; the customer service is terrible. I've been five times and it never gets any better.

Yelp
First time here. I really didn't feel like being creative, so I went with one of the signature pizzas already on the menu. The Meat Eater which has pepperoni, meatballs, and mozzarella, and purple onions (which I would swap for the sauteed onions). At this location the staff is super nice and they have no problem explaining the menu and what to order. I give this pizza a B- in comparison to these new make your own Chipoltle-style franchises. This place is definitely 2nd to &pizza, because of the ingredients. Here they keep it simple. I'm comparing this to The MAVERICK, which contains Classic Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella, Salami, 39-Day Aged Pepperoni, Classic Fennel Italian Sausage, Oregano Oil, and Parmesan Reggiano. Yeah, tough act to follow.... I do like the crust here, its's light and crispy and their sauce is good, so I will make my way back here again. Next, I would like to try their BBQ Chicken Pizza with banana peppers. The guy behind me in line was telling me how good that one was. The good thing about these new pizza places, its just enough pizza to eat extra or to save some, for less than 9 or $10 bucks.

Yelp
I'll go with four stars - I'd do it again. This was an overall positive experience. I went here with my partner and we had lunch. The pizza was decent for being baked for three minutes. They have 8 signature pizzas, and you can also make your own. Everything generally seems to be $8.25, which is a decent price for a pizza for yourself. The pizzas were a bit much to eat, and at $8.25, that's awesome - definitely two meals in a pizza! The topping possibilities are varied and you can really make something interesting with what's there. The service was A+, too. Everybody was positive and friendly. All-in-all, this was a good experience! And you can't be $24 for two drinks and two pizzas!
