LeBron’s Blaze Pizza Tweet Is Causing Mayhem in Culver City Right Now - Eater LA

"Yesterday’s news that Blaze Pizza would be giving away free pies today between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. was already exciting news, but this is ridiculous. As of this very moment hundreds upon hundreds of eager pizza-eating Laker fanatics are descending upon the strip mall Blaze Pizza location in Culver City not just for pizza — but for a hopeful glimpse of LeBron James himself." - Farley Elliott

Blaze Pizza is an absolute game-changer for athletes like me! After an intense workout at the nearby gym, I was craving a meal that would not only refuel my energy but also satisfy my taste buds. Blaze Pizza delivered on all fronts. First off, the speed of service was impressive. I walked in, chose my toppings, and watched as they crafted my pizza right before my eyes. The efficiency was perfect for my post-workout hunger. Now, let's talk about the quality of the food. The dough was light and crispy, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. It was like a celebration of flavors in every bite. Plus, the variety of toppings and sauces allowed me to create a customized pizza that catered to my nutritional needs. But what really stood out was the option for a cauliflower crust. As an athlete, I appreciate healthier choices, and this crust was a guilt-free delight. It had a great texture and tasted surprisingly good. Blaze Pizza understands that athletes value both taste and nutrition. And the best part? The affordability. After a rigorous workout, I didn't want to break the bank on a meal, and Blaze Pizza offered quality at a reasonable price. That's a win-win! In conclusion, Blaze Pizza is a slam dunk for athletes like me. It's the perfect post-workout meal that combines speed, quality, customization, and affordability. If you're looking to refuel and indulge your taste buds after a workout, Blaze Pizza is the place to go. It's a gold medal in the world of pizza!

Google
Blaze is blaze. The pizza is great when they want it to be. Otherwise it's hit or miss, depending on the crew on hand for the shift. More often than not there's an issue. Missing ingredients, underdone, overdone. It's never busy enough to have so many issues. Not sure why we keep coming back.

Food is fair. 3 stars. The atmosphere is quiet, dark, zero livelyness. 1 Star The "Service" is below fair. Deserves 1 star! But i gave 2 stars because one male worker is kind and smiles, he made up for it. Rules are different each time I visited this location, extra charges or none one day or the other. The pretty woman with braids and beaded hair, who REFUSES to smile or have any pleasant tone, is never a joy to see when visiting this location. Robotic. She makes you feel you're a bother to her day, and can't seem to hide the misery she gives off when made eye contact with someone, But she is very quick to express attitude, speaks to you like your lost. 2 Employees texting while their backs are turned toward the oven, Touching their dirty cell phones then your food right after with the same gloves! UNACCEPTABLE. Photos taken and shown upon request. This location needs a manager or a SERIOUS manager on site to regulate this poorly skilled, poorly energetic team, And cleanliness for customers food. This will be my last visit here (Im sure the team would be just fine with that, smh)

Idk the young lady's name that worked there but she had great customer service and was super professional. She was nice to every customer and her communication skills with the staff was amazing. She was a black young lady who was preparing the pizzas

Google
There has not been a single order that has been made correctly. Either they mess up the salad, and completely forget the dressing. Or, they give dressing, but no salad. The pizza is poorer quality than other blaze locations. Thought we had a one off bad experience, but this location is just awful.

Hakan Doğan

Google
Absolutely terrible experience. The pizza tasted awful — bland, greasy, and nothing like what you’d expect from a place like this. On top of that, we had to wait nearly 50 minutes for a simple order. Completely unacceptable for a fast-casual pizza place. The staff looked miserable and made no effort to be friendly or helpful. If you’re in Culver City and craving pizza, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Google
Tried with some friends. Pizza was good. The first time I had one with thin crust. The second time I had one with the Hi Rise option, it was too much dough. I'd stick with thin crust. Not an excessive amount of sauce or cheese and you can add or subtract items from a style of pie. I ordered a meat eater and added bacon and olives. The tomato, basil and ovalini salad I had is tasty.

Google
Always love some great quality pizza… This is the first time I had their new keto crust and it was amazing. We had lots of toppings, the staff was there with a big smile and ready to help and our pizza came out to perfection. I have given five stars except the lobby and serving area was a bit drafty, dim, cold and a bit dirty but I’ll definitely be back

Yelp
I came to this location Saturday night (11/16) And this location is always super busy and this night specifically (They had a ton of online orders that came in at once plus a hugeeee dinner rush, myself included lol) I will say that although soooo busy the staff was 110% on point. It was all women staff and they all were timely, kind and moved as quickly as they could, I was so impressed. Blaze was actually my first job 10 years ago so I know how it goes too. They really communicated with one another and the guests so well and made/cooked my pizza better than most locations I've been to. That whole team that night deserves extra love and hopefully they got good tips that night !!!

Yelp
So I have been holding my tongue on this location and after yesterday, I just can't anymore. It is always a hit or miss with this location. Yesterday I put in an online at 1125a. The estimate to get my pizza at 1135a to 1145a. Perfect because the latest I had to get to work was being done at 1150a which I figured was plenty of time. When I walk in at 1135a I am told it was about 5 mins left. Cool. Fair. But as it became 1145a I needed to leave so I checked in. Mind you I hate then they say 5 mins when realistically that is not the case. I rather you say nothing or overestimate.. Then when I asked about it had a attitude (probably stressed the same way I was). I proceed to ask if it is "well done enough" to please release my pizza but I am cut off. The staff tried to speak over me and tell me they need more time for a high rise. At that point honestly I don't care because I am late, you ma'am said 5 mins and at that point it had been 15 mins. I was not rude just matter of fact and asked if she could not cut me off and let me finish my sentence. After 25 mins, I am given the cheesy bread I ordered and I walk out bc I absolutely needed to go. I was going to leave without my pizza but I hear them call my name. I retrieve the pizza and asked for ranch but the girl that was helping the cook was beyond slow so I left and said nevermind. Because I was so late at this point, I open the box in the car to eat and MY GOODNESS. WHOS PIZZA IS THIS?!!! It is kind of funny the whole time she is moving the pizzas in the oven I am thinking where is mine, thinking maybe I can't see it. Because nothing resembled mine. I receive a pizza full of everything I didn't ask for olives, broccoli, jalapeños I was going to take the hit but it was sooooo far off. So now I am pissed I waited, I'm late and it is wrong. So I am now late AND hungry. The reason I did online order was to have my food ready bc I was going to be back to back and I knew I wasn't going to eat for another 7 hours. Cory, one of the staff member gave me a refund on the entire order and I rushed out. Why I chose to write this review is because this place is more times than not slow and behind. They constantly switch up staff so I don't know what is going on there. I am reasonable to understand being busy but it is frustrating to consistently have to play the guessing game of are they going to get it right. Time or food wise. Particularly for online orders. Many times they seem understaffed and then other times I have watched that there is no since of urgency. Sucks because the pizza is good.

Yelp
Not the greatest Blaze, they just simply need more people working there. When we came in late on a Friday night, they were extremely behind on their online orders as well as in person orders. Since I worked in food service, instead of getting frustrated I felt extremely bad! The atmosphere was not great because you can tell all the workers were under great stress, and it took us 45min to get our pizzas. However, we went home, opened a nice bottle of wine, and enjoyed our pizzas... they were SO damn good. Maybe that's because we were so hungry, but it did not matter... they were delicious.

Yelp
Good pizza, tricky location. Lunchtime gets nuts in the shared parking lot. Service was quick and helpful.

Yelp
Have been eating at Blaze Pizza on and off for many years now. It's our favorite fast-fired pizza joint. We love this location -- the staff are amazing & efficient. Picked up two build your own pizzas (both vegan, one on GF crust) from here on a Saturday morning and it's was a pleasure to do so esp, because it wasn't crowded at all. Parking is easily available in the parking lot in the back. We're big fans of their vegan cheese, which is actually tasty. I'm usually the one picking out excess cheese as I'm never satisfied with the taste & texture of most non-dairy cheese.....but not here! We enjoy it so much that we even got their cheesy breadsticks - prepared with vegan cheese, garlic, and a drizzle of olive oil! Love this location, as well as their GF & original crust (both vegan), and the non-dairy cheese. I wouldn't visit on a crowded day if you are strictly vegetarian....as it's hard to ensure that clean gloves/knifes are used at every stage.

Yelp
I like this chain and this location is excellent on the busy Sepulveda corridor right at cross street Washington. I had the half and half deal for $12 and a drink. It was half meatlovers pizza and half meatball dish(2 instead of the usual 3). Both halves were delicious and I really liked the meatballs and rich tomato sauce. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended for tasty food, service, value and location
google avatar

Yelp
I got the half deal , $12 for any side and half pizza So yummy and they don't limit the modifications/toppings Lovely

Yelp
This is the worst Blaze Pizza , Jose is rude and disrespectful to customers; You can order your on pizza but Jose doesn't like his job and said he wasn't doing it ! How when it's my pizza to build and create for my flavor and I'm paying for it!!.. And it's dirty and unorganized,

Yelp
FIRED UP ABOUT BLAZE DAY Ecstatic to hear Blaze was continuing their annual Pi Day tradition on March 14th. Usually I go to the location by The Grove, but this was on the way back from my trip to Manhattan Beach. I could already see a line when I pulled into the crowded parking lot around 12:15. Parking was so tight, people were honking and shouting. I reluctantly headed up a steep ramp and scored the last space up there. Then, I headed down the stairs where the end of the line now was. One of the employees said we would probably have to wait about half an hour. It turned out to be 45 minutes, but I chatted with the woman in back of me and the woman in front of me. Things ran surprisingly smoothly. Normally, a build your own pizza with original dough is $12.55, but on Blaze's Pi Day, it's - you guessed it - $3.14. I ordered the original crust with red sauce, and added a combo of shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan for the cheese. Feeling carnivorous, pepperoni, ham, pork, sausage and meatballs were next. Vegged out with black olives, red onions, jalapenos, spinach and mushrooms. Finished off with some roasted garlic. This place was hopping with a continuous flow of customers, but the employees were all friendly and helpful. It didn't take long for them to fire up this fantastic pie. It was so filling, half was more than enough for lunch. The other half was even better when I reheated it the next day. Being a newbie at this location, it was great to see that it's as a good as my usual. I'll be blazing over here again.

Yelp
We got the build your own pizzas. They had only two workers when we went. One was at the register, putting toppings on the pizza, and making salad while the other was putting the pizzas in the fire and then boxing them when they're ready. Service was slow and there was a line behind me. The topping items were not listed and so it was overwhelming trying to figure out what was what and what to put on my pizza. We ending up pulling up the website menu on our phones and going off the topping list from there. It's not even our first time at blaze and it was a bit overwhelming for us even though we know how blaze pizza works. I imagine it'll be harder on first time customers. Maybe they should invest in a better menu system that actually lists the available toppings. The crusts were burnt when we got our pizza and maybe we had too much liquid toppings bc the middle of the pizza was a bit too wet for my liking. Will return to try different toppings.

Yelp
Love ordering food an hour ahead of time, getting a text that says it's ready, and driving here just to sit for another half hour and wait for it! There's a line out the door and only two people working here. Missing Big 10 football for this.

Yelp
Let's get the good mentioned: The pizza was delicious! They have hot honey and it's a game changer. The bad, and the reason I'm yelping now: This establishment has an employee that is so off-putting with attitude, that I will never come back to this Blaze and would prefer to drive a longer commute or just get another pizza outright. I don't have her name, but she was black, heavier set and was not wearing a name tag. She was cutting pizza and handing them out yesterday 12/7/24 just before 8:00 p.m. She spoke down to me and other guest. She eye-rolled. I asked for clarification on which pizza was which and she responded very condescending to me and another member of my party. She cut the pizzas and his tossed them for pick-up. I asked for some hot honey on my pizza and she was not happy. Right after 8:00 pm, she left (for what I'm assuming was her break), and the next employee to do that job was so nice and kind. He asked people of they wanted any toppings and smiled. I try to be very nice because I know food industry is hard, but she made me feel like she's doing me a favor. So much attitude.

Yelp
Waited over 45 minutes for single topping as 1 of 2 customers in the store with staff socializing.

Yelp
Melody/Melony (Manager) did a phenomenal job today. She made my experience amazing and I will be recommending this business specifically to my friends and family and will be coming back. I'm not sure what she is being paid, but she deserves a raise! Great manager and great experience because of her! Thank you Manager

Yelp
Is the world progressing way too fast or are standards just tumbling???? Took my fam to Blaze today and here's the summary: - smelled like sh!t right outside of it. not their fault, maybe sewage? - their bathroom looks like someone busted in. the door needs repairs. - the place feels dim and dirty - beverage options in the front area near register are sparse, used to have beer - the place was empty at 6pm in the evening. used to be a place where people went more often - i just paid $17 for a keto pizza. hot dayuuummm You could tell that some transition took place that made this place worse. I hope managers/owners pay attention. No one is visioning for this location anymore. I think it's fair to say Blaze is becoming like Chucky Cheese feeling....

Yelp
I came here for a $3.14 pizza on Pi Day and, although the line was super long, the staff was incredibly kind and patient. Employees checked in on us in line to boost our moods, and they even stayed open 30 minutes late to accommodate more people. On top of the great service, the fire-roasted pizza was incredibly tasty and fresh. There are also so many toppings to choose from; I got 10+! Food: 9/10 Drinks: N/A Service: 10/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Vegan-friendly: 6/10

Yelp
I have been to couple of Blaze Pizza and most have been very clean and in order, but this location is very dirty and food preparation area food crumbs all over it and all over floor, the glass separating customer from the food prep area very dirty. Food crumbs all over the floor, workers standing around chatting instead of cleaning and keep the facility clean. The energy of the employees are off and they hardly pay attention to customers request. Disappointment.
google avatar

Cynthia C.

Yelp
The workers need a attitude makeover! Not only that, the food was cool, but when I got to work I had sooo much gas! My stomach was hurting! Never again will I come back! That was sooo embarrassing! I have not ever had gas like that! Also, the restroom was a hot mess! The bill came up to eighty something dollars, and it was a waste!
google avatar

Marsha G.

Yelp
Great food and great service. What more can you ask for. They have so many options to choose from, you can even mix the sauce. If you're looking for a place to create your own pizza can't go wrong here.

Yelp
Ordered delivery from this store. It is the only one that delivers to Westwood. I have a long history of messed up orders from this location, but my kids love Blaze pizza. Ordered 4 pizzas for the family with contactless delivery. The DoorDash guy delivered 1. That pizza has wrong topping. Contact driver and he says have DoorDash return it. So I have to hop in the car and drive from Westwood to Culver. Thankfully the other 3 pizzas are there. Toppings on those are very uneven but at least correct. Counter worker was like yeah, he just grabbed one. I was like, then why didn't you stop him to make sure he took all 4. When we lived in SGV, all the Pasadena, SG, and Arcadia locations were a million times better. Orders were always right and deliveries were always right.

Yelp
Amazing pizza. So my wife brought me here for the first time and I was astonished that you can create your own pizza for one low price. It taste so amazing once my creation was brought to life. The blood orange lemonade was also tasty. I splashed it with some sprite tho. I was very impressed with the service too. Very helpful and patient. Especially for first timers who have a tough time choosing toppings. Regular fast food ambiance. But was kept clean. Which was nice. We took out food to go tho.

Yelp
Horrible counter service , he acted like he didn't want work there. He dumped (flooded the pizza with bbq sauce not edible

Yelp
Shorter girl working on 1/15/25 while taking our order of pizzas was fine until it came to giving us the food. She had the worst reaction to being asked if they pizza had fresh basil on top when it was asked to her because her coworker was told but forgot to mention it to the shorter girl. The shorter girl then decides to get defensive and state that she wasn't told about anything like that. And it's not on her. No one accused her of anything for her to be so dramatic about a simple question. All she could've said was no i was not aware about that but I would be glad to put some on your pizza. I'm sure if she was serving her boss she wouldn't treat her boss like that or give such a nasty attitude. Hiring this person was a huge mistake. Then she began talking about what happened in front of us while in earshot as if it couldn't be heard. She kept talking and acting as if she was ready to have a physical confrontation. All because we asked if they pizza had fresh basil and of not if it could be put on. Hope the next time I decide to bring my family here that she is in a better mood. Took away all my appetite.

Yelp
I love Blaze Pizza! I am lucky to live down the street from this location and I'm able to come here often. I love the build your own pizza. There are so many crust, sauce and topping options. I love that they have fresh mozzarella, goat cheese, and ricotta.. so amazing! All the ingredients are fresh, pizzas made to order, and since they're individual size, everyone can get what they want! They also have beer and dessert options. They also have vegan and gluten free options. I'm getting hungry thinking about it!

Yelp
Thank you, Blaze, for being efficient and kind! Shout out to Brandon and Jose! Pizza is delicious, you can add however much you want :)

Rianna Tejedor ..

Yelp
Very Disappointed in this blaze. Was looking forward to getting pizza and we arrived at 8:50 and the workers rudely told us they were closed. Even though their website clearly stated that they were open till 9pm. I am not quite to sure why Blaze pizza would advertise that their business is open if the workers who are lazy can decide the time they want to close. Very unprofessional of the workers and I believe management should really look into who they choose to hire.

Yelp
Yummy!!!!! We love it here great service, and the ambiance was lovely! We come here every week and always enjoy! We love Blaze!

Yelp
Clean location, including the restroom. Helpful and patient staff. Not crowded, quick service. Tasty pizza. Couldn't ask for much more after a long day at work.

Yelp
This is the best Blaze pizza in Los Angeles County. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but the pizza and service is outstanding! Lots of options to build your OWN pizza - just the way you like it. Was first introduced to this Blaze by a friend and it was one of the best referrals. It's cozy and people are nice and friendly here. It's really chill over here. Sometimes there is a wait, so be patient with the long lines out back. Parking is available, can be a bit challenging at times. Again, patience. Great spot! It's so so good!!

Yelp
We love Blaze Pizza! We love it even more bc they are located in Culver City which make it so convenient. We visited today, 12/9 and everyone and everything was wonderful! The staff was very nice, patient, friendly and helpful. It was obvious that they've been trained well to have great customer service. From the first encounter to the last person, we had a really nice experience. My daughter and I got the Build Your Own pizza. For the size and all the toppings, the price is really reasonable. I believe mine was a little less than $12 and I got most of the toppings. So good! The ambiance is really nice and clean. The decor is modern and everything was kept up nicely and updated. If you're in the area and craving for some awesome and delicious pizza, go to Blaze Pizza. They are located in Culver City on Washington blvd and Sepulveda. Plenty parking available.

Yelp
i've been coming to blaze for years ever since i moved to culver city a decade ago and the pizza always hits! it's fresh, hot, and flavorful. the service is usually quick and attentive, and the atmosphere is usually quiet with some chatter here and there depending upon what time you go to the restaurant. i will say when i went yesterday there was a little bit of a wait which normally wouldn't have bothered me but i was STARVING. they look to be short staffed as well which is a bummer because the place is piling up with orders (online or in store). nonetheless the pizza i got yesterday hit the spot and i cannot wait to go back! my order is a build your own with spicy red sauce, pineapples, chopped garlic, sea salt and oregano with ranch to dip! so yummy!! blaze is a 9/10!!
google avatar

Lenora D.

Yelp
Blaze Pizza in Culver City really earned zero stars. My first experience with Blaze Pizza was when my niece purchased pizzas for my sister's birthday. Because they were so good, I ordered Blaze Pizza, but it was the total opposite of my niece's pizzas. I ordered seven toppings, but toppings were scarely on each slice. And even worse, the pizza was barely cooked. My daughter said, "It looks like a big cracker." Some of it was eaten, but first had to cook it in the airfryer. A totally disappointed customer.
google avatar

Daphne B.

Yelp
My pizza was burned to shreds underneath. It's one of my biggest pet peeves. It's a pizza place, it's the one thing that needs to go right and then it doesn't. It's the same when you go to a steakhouse and they don't know what the different temperatures of a steak are. I don't trust people with my food if I complain so bye bye $13 and I ate it. It did not taste good.
google avatar

Aubrey W.

Yelp
The service was so slow when I went on a dead Sunday night. It was also very dirty and overall gross--they had toppings everywhere, they kept the sauce spoon they used to spread on my pizza on a shelf by the floor (not even on anything, just straight on the shelf), and the guy in charge of firing the pizzas was on his phone every five seconds and then touching my pizza after touching his dirty phone. To make matters worse, my pizza was undercooked and soggy after a five minute drive home to eat it. I will absolutely not be going to this location ever again, and it'll be a long time before I feel inclined to eat Blaze after this.
google avatar

Winter M.

Yelp
SO frustrated right now. Ordered a keto pizza for delivery via Postmates after a long day and what we got was a half eaten pizza (likely someone's leftovers from the restaurant). We tried calling the restaurant for 45 minutes and no one picked up. We reached a centralized order center who tried to reach the restaurant but couldn't. Literally received someone's nasty, cold leftovers and couldn't talk to anyone about it.
google avatar

Cecilia A.

Yelp
Post late movie dinner... Surprisingly good thin crust pizza! It was our first time at a Blaze. Loved that you could have it made with different toppings and as much sauce as you want. The cooks and servers were very kind to the newbies. lol! Plenty of clean tables available for those unwilling to let the pizza cool down.
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
The place was fair clean. The people who prepped the pizza were foot and informative about what the were putting on my pizza. The pizza was cooked in reasonable amount of time but at the end the person put something on my pizza (green leafy stuff) then put a tag on it that was not mine. When I said it wasn't mine he said sorry it is your pizza just wrong tag but made no mention of the green leafy stuff. I was in a rush otherwise I would have had them make me a whole other pizza. With today's food prices I was not happy with the final outcome.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. The food took forever to get done and the employees had a lot of attitude and I were very unclear.

Yelp
Fire macros, 700 cals for a pepperoni pizza is crazy. Also Cody the goat, always brings good vibes.

Yelp
I remember I visited a Blaze a long time ago, and wasn't sure why I never returned. At the moment, this was the closest one for me, but they weren't doing online ordering earlier in the day. I had read on here that they were short-staffed, so I figured that might have something to do with it. When I finally was ready to make my way over, online was back up and running again, however I decided the wisest thing would be to place my order in person. Parking was right outside in the big lot, and I was greeted right away. There were at least 4 guys in there so the staffing was not an issue thankfully. I decided to go with the one topping (basil) pizza and I only had to wait about 3-4 minutes before it was boxed and ready to go. I'm sorry but this was just not very good. I didn't even finish it, leaving a full slice and a half in the box to go to waste. This is an odd word to describe, but the cheese texture was just 'gummy' which isn't appealing when it comes to food. Basil was fine, but that only took up the top of the pizza. I guess now I revived my reason on why I never returned since my initial visit.

Yelp
The employees are not nice. I ordered a gluten free pizza and they worked over the pizza getting meat for "another order. The girl was more interested in helping the gentlemen next to me instead of finishing my order. They didn't even acknowledge how rude they were. Also I ordered the pizza on line. I was told the pizza on Rosecrans would be ready in 20 minutes. I was disappointed that they didn't even bother to ask can we start you a pizza since obviously the order didn't get started. poor customer service.

Yelp
This review is strictly based on the experience I had tonight. I have been a fan and loyal customer since they opened at this location but tonight I am furious. I ordered 2 pizzas and a salad using the Blaze App which came out to about $55 with taxes and fees. The order was delivered by door dash an my wife grabbed the order from the driver and walked back to the house and I asked... "did he only give you one pizza box?"... Yes, that was what he gave her... 1 Pizza and a bag with the salad... The driver was already long gone... so I try to text back the number that was sending the delivery updates asking them to send the driver back... no reply. I call the restaurant and someone answers the phone and says they are getting a manager... then I get thrown back into the main menu of the phone system and nobody ever comes back. I continue the cycle of calling back the number for the location and end up speaking to someone at the call center, which is not at the Culver City location... they let me know that they cannot get a hold of anyone at the location and that they are u able to give me a discount. It has now been over an hour and I have gone through a painful process of trying to reach out by phone over 15 times, I have sent an email, and even an Instagram DM... nobody seems to want to help me out here so here we are. Maybe someone will see my Yelp review and attempt to fix the issue... F*ck!ing mind blowing.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to the warm greeting from 3 different staff members when I walked in. The team member X was so kind to tell me about the special because he overheard us talking & that's exactly what we wanted; a small pepperoni & sausage. He asked if we wanted the herbs, can't remember exactly which ones but they sounded good and I said yes. The other Blaze location in Hawthorne never greeted us or made any yummy suggestions. I will be driving the extra couple of miles to come to this location from now on. Thank you Blaze pizza for the delicious pizza & hiring fantastic people like X, he even brought out our pizza to the patio before I could go inside & wait for my name to be called. Fast service even during lunchtime.

Yelp
Seriously, this place is so busy, but they need to get it together. The minute we walked in, I sensed dysfunctionality! It was funny though to be honest. I first asked for an arugula salad. Maybe it was my bad for not knowing to order that with the cashier? But the salad was right in front of us in the service table behind the glass. Logically speaking, we should be able to order the salad as it is already displayed, which is the same concept on how we order and build our pizzas while walking through looking at the toppings. What made me chuckle was the person in the beginning asking what pizza we wanted to order rolled her eyes at me, and asked if I wanted to order a pizza too. Wtf... Hahaha. So sorry! Anyhow, first mistake was the gal rolling her eyes at me. Definitely a no-no to any customers! Second mistake was the second gal mixing the white pesto sauce with my spicy red sauce, when I asked for half white half red... A ying-yang. Lol. Oh well, at least she gave me another dough. Third mistake was the fella preparing the pizza with toppings requested, he did a good job though, sprinkled too much sea salt on one side of the pizza and basically nothing on the other side. Hahaha. So I basically bit into my extremely salty and crunchy pizza. Wtf! I don't know what else to say about this place, but I saw unhappy some workers. However, some employees like the cashier and the person putting pizzas in the oven was working hard though. They rang up orders, helped box pizzas, took care of waiting customers, helped food delivery services, etc. Very efficient. I counted around fifteen workers behind the counter, and only a few seemed to be effective. The others, oh well... Needs training. Overall, the pizza was good, my salad was fresh, and the brownie was delicious. Parking really stinks in the parking lot. Traffic jam galore. There's a Starbucks. a Chipotle, a bank, a gym, and a couple other businesses in the plaza. But at least nobody honks! Next time I'll probably end up going elsewhere if I was in that part of Culver City to avoid problems.

Yelp
I came in today to get a pizza. There's five employees and me and one other customer I was ignored and told to wait and then halfway through making my pizza, she walks away and starts some other pizzas and nobody's here! I don't know if Daniel still owns this place but I hope he reads this. This place is really gone. Downhill napkin dispensers are not working. There's no sugar-free drinks except for Diet Coke. Iced tea is gone. I'm done with this place.

Yelp
I placed an order for a pizza online to pickup in store. I specified that two of the toppings (mushrooms and olives) were on only half the pizza. After confirming my order, I got an estimated pickup time of 15-20 minutes, which was perfect because that's how far I live from the store. I arrived in 20 minutes, and the pizza was not ready. It was not ready for another 20 minutes. When I got home, although the printed receipt attached to the box clearly said "Please put mushrooms and olives on one half only (same half)", the entire pizza was covered with mushrooms and olives. The pizza was otherwise mediocre. I won't be back.

Yelp
Skip The Mega Mushroom Special: The blaze promotional emails showed a juicy looking pizza loaded with mushrooms. The real pizza was dry with just a few scattered mushrooms, and a burned crust to make it worse. Pretty bad.

Yelp
"fast, easy, & customizable pizza without compromising on the taste." YES- free parking in the back YES - staff following COVID precautions YES - bathroom FYI- serve bottled alcohol (white claw & canned beer) Honestly, here to just write a raving review about the Monday night crew on 8/23/2021. I think her name was Tiffany and the other staff that were working were so 1) friendly 2) patient because I'm pretty picky 3) helpful with picking out my toppings. Just felt like hardworking staff should be praised during this weird new normal that the hospitality industry is going through. Enjoying a late night dinner thanks to Tiffany & the other crew tonight! I wish I caught there names!

Yelp
Ate at a Blaze Pizza downtown near USC last week and it was delicious! Wanted to have that same experience at this location (Culver City) but no. The kid that made my pizza must have been having a bad day because he slopped it on instead of spreading it out evenly. And when I asked him to spread it out he gave me attitude. Don't understand how the same pizza could taste so different at different locations. The sauce was bland and the whole experience was so disappointing. Bad attitude and bland tasteless sauce. Won't be back.
