Probably like most people, I am pretty picky about my pizza. (I will eat pretty much any pizza, anytime, but do have my favorites, LOL.). And, I have to say, I have really enjoyed the pizza from Blaze.
I was skeptical about this pizza chain, but I had a coupon for a BOGO, so decided to try it out. And, I wasn't disappointed. I liked it enough that I've been back, sans coupon, four times since.
I've never ordered a large, just the standard 11-inch, but I assume the large pizzas are the same. I find the standard size perfect for me. It's not an overwhelming amount, but certainly leaves me full and satisfied if I eat the whole thing.
I love the fact that you can build your own and choose from quite a nice variety of toppings. I also like that the pizza makers were not skimpy with the ingredients and when I asked for more cheese, there was no extra charge.
Aside from classic pizza dough, Blaze also offers a hIgh-rise dough, as well as a gluten-free crust, cauliflower crust and a Keto crust. There is an additional charge for those, which is unfortunate, but I understand that the specialty crusts cost the restaurant more. I don't know about the high-rise crust, but the other speciality crusts are premade. I did try the Keto crust once, and it was okay, but I would not get it again.
Not only do they offer five different sauces, but there are quite a few choices for cheese, meat and veggies, including seven cheese choices (plus a vegan cheese), seven types of meat and fourteen kinds of veggies. When your pizza is ready, you also have the option to have it drizzled with six different sauces.
I also like that they carry Mexican Coke in bottles (it has pure can sugar instead of corn syrup) and a soda fountain with some nice Mexican-style fruit juices.
As the name suggests, the pizzas are done pretty quickly. The staff has always been nice and accommodating. And, the space, while kind of plain and cafeteria-like, has always been clean.
Want some pIzza and want it quickly, without sacrificing tastE? Give Blaze a try!
