How It Feels to Rent a Vacation House in a Pandemic | Eater

"A pizza chain where the guests ordered large cauliflower-crust pizzas for a relaxed post-pool dinner; the meal capped an exhausted, sun-drenched day and was consumed at the rental while continuing the couple’s ritual of wiping down every inch of delivery packaging." - Alanna Bennett

It would be great if they actually answered their phones or got back to people who have had not so good experiences. I spent $44.25 here on 02/21 at around 8:07pm. It was a pickup order because my husband & I wanted to try their pizza for the first time as I had saw someone post about it online and said how good it was. He drove about 35 minutes away to pick up our food. We got a 11 inch pizza with a side salad that was supposed to have dressing on the side and Parmesan on the side.. there was no dressing at all and the Parmesan was not on the side it was in the salad. The 11 inch pizza was burnt all around the crust and had even burns on some of the cheese. We also ordered two of the build your own half 11 inch pizza where you pick a side. One of the ones I ordered was okay but the other one we ordered was disgusting, so bad that I ended up not even eating it and giving it to my husband. He ate it and said that he was only eating it because of how much we paid for it because he didn’t want it to go to waste. He’s a pizza lover and that says a lot coming from him. Then the two sides we picked were cheesy pesto bread & cinnamon bread. It’s important to note that I requested with every single thing we ordered that they changed their gloves. In my box of cinnamon bread, there was a piece of basil underneath the bread as well as sauce and pesto. So clearly someone had spilled it or whatever and didn’t bother to change their gloves let alone give me a clean to go container that the bread was put into. The only good things we had were the cheesy pesto bread & the salad was good even though I had to add in my own dressing because there was none. The one half of pizza was also okay but other than that everything else we ordered was not good and was burnt, missing items, etc. Definitely was NOT a good experience trying Blaze pizza for the first time and definitely was not worth driving 35 minutes for. My husband said they also weren’t very packed that night with people so they can’t blame how my food turned out on that. I already submitted a form online and am still waiting for someone to get back to me, it is a weekend so doesn’t surprise me that I’m still waiting but makes me even more mad and disappointed that when calling them all of the times I’ve tried I can’t get through to anyone. And sorry not sorry but we weren’t driving 35 minutes all the way back to Blaze that night when it was already late when my husband had gotten home, it was around 9pm. Really hope they make things right and get in touch with me because I’d love to talk to someone to find out why my experience was this way and why my food was burnt, etc

Google
Went to get a build you own veggie pizza. Asked the young lady that made my pizza to make sure it’s not burnt while cooking. They have burnt my pizzas in the past. I asked the guy that told my pizza out of the oven to make sure it wasn’t burnt on the bottom, he quickly lifted one side up and the pizza toppings slid to the middle ☹️. As you can see… I also noticed the trash behind the counter on the floor. Other than that the pizza was good and the young lady the made my pizza was amazing.

Google
Been to blaze a couple times but the pizza this time was amazing. Generous amount of toppings, the high rise dough was nice and crunchy and overall the pizza was just great. Priced well and pizza was done pretty quick

Google
Tried Blaze Pizza and had a great experience! The pizza was delicious, and the customer service was solid. We built our own pizzas, which were fresh and flavorful, and also tried the cinnamon bread—it did not disappoint. My fiancé especially loved the blood orange lemonade. Overall, a great spot for a quick and tasty meal!

Google
I had the pleasure of trying the four cheese signature pizza today. It is legitimately the best cheese pizza I've ever eaten! The staff were fantastic, and the atmosphere is comfortable and cozy! I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. 11/10 heavily recommend! 🍕

Google
Good, quick pizza. Had two family members with Celiac so were happy to be able to get gluten free pizza for them. Our server used fresh sauce, spoon, brush once we informed of allergy. Cooked on dedicated pan in oven and a clean pizza wheel was used to cut them when cooked. Thanks again for having the gf option. Regular pizza was good too.

Google
Pizza was very good, staff was friendly and fast. However at $16 for a two topping pizza, about the size of 2 slices from a pizza shop, and a small fountain drink, this price point is high.

Yelp
This wouldn't be my first choice for pizza. I met a friend here that I hadn't seen in probably 20-30 years in person. We got there and the order taker was friendly. The lady working the pizza oven almost didn't seem like she knew what she was doing and there were probably 6 or 7 pizzas she was shuffling around. She was on her phone and just just didn't seem to know what was going on. My friend got her pizza very fast. I was waiting on mine and everyone behind me was getting their pizzas someone had asked me if my pizza was mine-um...I don't know but mine has pepperoni on it...along with ricotta, shredded mozzarella and fresh mozzarella and light sauce. It was determined this was not my pizza. I waited some more and more people behind me got their pizza and I was still standing there. Eventually, I had to ask where my pizza was. It was a ridiculously long time that I had been standing there. Finally, I am given a pizza I take it to my table and it's not the right pizza-it's coveted in meat. I take it back up and I tell them, it's not my pizza. They give me the pizza they had asked about which has been sitting out. They did offer to make me a new pizza which I declined, I was fine without the pepperoni. I'm not taking any responsibility for getting a barely warm pizza. Was it edible-yes. Did it look appetizing? I put it on FB and there were comments about how it didn't look very good. I will say the manager did give me a coupon for a free pizza the next time I stop in. It's possible I'll go back in a pinch or when I don't feel like cooking, but without that coupon I'd have no reason to return. My friend's pizza actually had a chunk out of it and they still served it to her. I'm not sure why they thought her pizza was acceptable to serve to her like that. This was her first experience with Blaze and she was unimpressed as well. I saw mostly college age people and a few families as patrons. In addition to this-the pizzas weren't even cut well. I had to saw at mine using the plastic silverware they provide.

Yelp
Blaze pizza, you do it well for Pi day! Despite the long line up for the $3.14 deal, it was worth it. Fresh unlimited toppings and drizzle add on toppings at the end. Love watching the oven where all the pizzas are baking. Efficient service despite the line-up. Thanks Blaze pizza!!!

Yelp
Food was good But crew need some manners and kindness Also tables and seat are dirty Kitchen looks never clean before

Yelp
Needed a gluten free lunch option - My pizza was made with cauliflower crust & lots of veggies. It was made to perfection and def worth extra $4.00 for crust. It was not soggy at all and crust held up great even with all toppings. Enough for 2 lunch meals if you're not a huge eater.

Yelp
Stopped here for pi day to get the deal. There were so many people in the place but the line went fairly quickly. Many options to choose from. If customization is your deal this is the place. If you have a child that only likes cheese or basic pizza I would go elsewhere since it's expensive for just a one topping pizza. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They had full staff and were working as a team especially since some peoples orders were much more elaborate than others.

Yelp
Here's a story for the books - we ( a large family group) recently visited Rochester, NY for a wedding and decided to get pizza for lunch. We were recommended Blaze pizza by my niece and took her up on her recommendation. we went to the Jefferson Rd store and started looking at the menu and the options they had. we were amazed with the novelty in their options which included vegan selections for cheese and crust. a few of our family members have vegan preferences. as we were browsing through the options, one of the female employees behind the counter started showing her impatience in waiting for us to order the right pizza. There were only two customers at the store besides us, so I'm not sure why she had that attitude. Then another male employee behind the counter joined her in doing the same thing. No smile on their faces, no friendly attitude, just a sign of - why are you still not ordering? as if they were in a hurry to do something else. We decided to go with an online offer 'family of 5" which had 3 pizzas that you could build on your own along with two sides. I requested two of these (6 pizzas and 4 sides). then another female employee showed up behind the counter with a very friendly approach and started taking my order. As she was writing down the specifics of each pizza and side, the other male employee showed extreme rudeness in not paying attention to what our needs were for toppings and specifics on the vegan selections. I tolerated the attitude with this gentleman through the entire process and the pizzas were then put in the fire kiln for baking. The first female employee was the one baking the pizzas with an extremely rude attitude. To the extent that my adult kids decided to walk away from the counter and sit at a table as they could not tolerate the two employees attitude. As the pizzas were coming out of the kiln, the male employee started putting them on plates. I had requested these orders to go. When I reminded him that these were to go orders, he started showing his frustration again at processing our order. I also was kindly requesting him to label the boxes with which pizza was in each box as the vegan options could not be discerned readily. He lost his calm and started telling me that he cannot mark the boxes. So I requested him to hold on and got a pen. He never listened to me and continued putting the pizzas in the boxes and closing them. That's where I lost my calm and started questioning the employee on whether he was doing me a favor by giving me these pizzas - that I paid for! This evolved into a shouting match - with him using profanity and threatening me. The female employee joined in this assault on me. The owner of the store started intervening saying that he was new to the store and was observing these employees and apologized profusely for their behavior. Now here's the deal - what kind of service do you expect when you go to such an establishment? one of politeness, friendly and amicable service with a smile on the face or one where the store makes you feel that they are doing you a favor by giving you food that you paid for, and then use profanity with your customers? No smile, no friendly approach, nothing. Do you think we enjoyed the pizzas? I sure hope the store owner takes this review into consideration and Blaze Pizza understands what's happening in their stores. Not good for their reputation!

Yelp
Yeah yeah, I know... buying pizza from a National chain when there's so many good local pizza shops, especially in Greece, is a travesty. However, Blaze is probably the one and only exception for us. Why? 1.) They have the largest variety of gluten free and Keto crusts. 2.) They have the largest variety of fresh toppings. 3.) Their mobile app is so easy to use and always spot on with the timing estimate. We usually get two Build Your Own 11" pizzas, and barely eat half each. Sometimes they struggle to bake the gluten free pizzas just right. No matter where you go, you're prone to get a slightly undercooked center and a charred edge. That's gluten free for you. A pizza baker once told us that the gluten free crusts need to bake at a different temperature and no one can afford to dedicate an oven for that.

Yelp
Blaze now has a cauliflower crust and keto crust option on the menu. No puzzled looks today. To celebrate Pie Day, I used their app to order a few things. The app makes it easy to customize and they've expanded their menu options .

Yelp
Service is real quick! I had the green stripe pizza. Has cheese, peppers, pesto, arugula and chicken. It was pretty good. I added some pepper flakes and made it better. If you want a quick personal pizza, would rec.

Yelp
Great fast service, only took 10 minutes for my order! Got a spicy vegan pizza that was worth the wait!

Yelp
The help here was a bunch of millennials, living their best life. Pretty casual atmosphere. The ordering and cooking were both quick. Really good pizza. Will go again.

Yelp
As of right now I give Blaze a three. I do have to come back and maybe re rate this. I say this because my experience was great fast service clean open environment and friendly staff. I love the fact you can watch them make whatever pizza you want! I didn't know it was a make your own pizza bar ! The only reason its not a 4 star is because I got a gluten free crust. The dough was so thinned out the pizza ingredients fell through some spots and when you went to eat it cooked the crust cracked and you couldn't pick up the pizza. Super delicious and good experience but a very awkward way to eat pizza in front of others. So lesson learned no gluten free crust!

Yelp
I am seriously obsessed with this place!!! I've only been one time so far. First off, the place was very clean at 9 p.m. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful because I had never been there before. I decided on a build your own pizza. It was thin crust and the ingredients were very fresh. I can't stop thinking about going back! Their regular size pizzas are pretty big. I made 3 meals out of it. Also, they're on the WW app and the points are very reasonable for eating pizza! On average a slice is only about 3-4 points! My advice-get there ASAP!

Yelp
Who wouldn't love creating their own pie? Blaze pizza is the place to go for create-your-own pies. For a set price, you are able to add as many toppings as you want. I combined the spicy tomato sauce with a creamy white sauce and loaded the pie with veggies. And yes, the ingredients are fresh! Once I finished loading my pie with the endless toppings, a crew member fired it up in their "blazing" hot oven, crisping it to perfection. I paired my pie with their blood orange lemonade. SO GOOD!! This place is great for lunch, small and large groups, and even dinner. Can't wait to create my next pie!

Yelp
Great pizza. Rochester people will try to convince that Rochester style pizza is the best, don't fall for that. Blaze will be one of the best options you have in the city for pizza.

Yelp
Yet another assembly line wood fired pizza joint... Actually becoming a little tiresome... And they will not replace my local pizza joint that I've been going to for 20+ years. That being said, Blaze was very good. The decor is nothing special but the prices are much better than similar restaurants, the service is solid and the options for toppings are excellent. I went with spicy red sauce, mozzarella, smoked ham and banana peppers. The crust was thin and perfectly baked and the toppings were plentiful. Very good. I also enjoyed the eclectic selection of soft drinks. Good all around. I'm not sure that this latest trend in pizza will last with so many competing stores but I can recommend giving Blaze a try. Definitely the best bang for your buck in the wood fired pizza world.

Yelp
Not a good first impression. Placed order online at 5:15p. Pick up scheduled for 6:45p. Arrived early at 6:36p. Was not greeted or acknowledged until 7:55p. At 7:58p an employee, possibly the manager(?), approached and offered me two coupons for free pizzas "for the wait". I said "thank you". My order was finally ready at 7:03p. These are kind of a thin flatbread style pizza if you have never been. The dough is sort of unceremoniously flattened with a hydraulic press into a thick tortilla. The hot chicken pizza was not particularly good. Was very skimpy on toppings compared to views from others who have ordered the same. The BYO turned out decent. For the $10, stacking toppings on for the included price can be a valuable lunch for 1 or 2. The garlic knots ranged from tiny to small. Kind of bland and hard like they were just reheated from a prebaked batch. Won't get those again. I left with a bad impression but I will certainly use the coupons to return and hopefully have a better experience next time. May have been a bad day. *12.17.20 Update: I've gone back and used one coupon today. A fair bit better. The general staff still doesn't acknowledge you - it's a bit as if they are told "you're on oven", you're on dough", etc, and if it doesn't include talking with co-workers, that's the only thing they will do. Luckily someone from the back noticed me this time (very nice young man with short hair and a number of tattoos), and took my order right away. I got the Green Stripe and added a few extras on top. The wait was about 10 minutes or so, nothing terrible. I still have to give it a midgrade rating as I just don't feel this is pizza. It's a quick flatbread with fresh toppings. It's fine for the money in a rush if you have a coupon or discount, but I wouldn't make it a regular habit. If you like Subway subs, you will probably like this pizza.

Yelp
Love the pizza here. The unlimited toppings option is awesome. The chicken spicy meatballs and spicy vegan chorizo tastes amazing.

Yelp
I wasn't sure I would because I thought the crust would be too thin, but I loved this pizza! There was only one person in front of me, so there wasn't much wait.  The staff could have been friendlier, and it was hard to hear them, but I liked the little signs in front of the sauces and each topping so I knew what was available.  I got white sauce with mozzarella, ricotta, goat cheese, tomato and garlic.  I actually meant crushed garlic, but I said the wrong thing, so that's on me, lol.   Baking it took maybe 5 minutes, and I got the pesto drizzle, which was really good.  I also got a side of ranch, which I love that they offer because I love to dip my pizza in ranch.  It was also good. The pizza was a little burnt on the edges.  I had to throw out some of the crust because it was so burned, but I still l really liked it!  I pulled off the garlic because it wasn't what I meant to order, but my husband really liked the garlic, too.  And I liked dipping the crust in ranch. It was $9.34, which is a little higher than Pi Craft, but it was also a bigger pizza. I took it to go, and my car smelled like it the next time I got in, and it made me want to go back!  And I will definitely be back.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Yuck. The pizza here is the worst. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are eating because it definitely did not come from the restaurant.

Yelp
Visited Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza for the first time this week. My daughter has been here before and she loved it so she decided to bring me along. LOCATION: Good location on Jefferson Rd. It's in a plaza setting so plenty of parking. Close to the expressway, RIT, shops and more. SERVICE: Excellent Service. It's a make your own pizza so there's an assembly line. It moves right along! FOOD: The crusts are already "premade" or shaped so they're ready to go. You just need to choose your toppings. Great choice of sauces, cheese, toppings: any meat you can think of (meatball, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ham and more). Plenty of veggies to choose from as well! There are also choices of "finishing" sauces/drizzles: Ranch, Buffalo, Sauce, etc. Pizzas came out fast and were very good! PRICE: I think they're reasonable at $8.95 for a make your own. It's a pretty good size personal pizza. I ate mine in 3 sittings :) The best part is if you're a college student you can buy one get one free with your college ID. There were plenty of RIT students in line ahead of us. Great deal for college students on a budget. They also have small "half" pizza boxes so you can pack up your left overs. Definitely going back and recommend anyone in the area to give them a try.

Yelp
One a scale of one to ten I am giving Blaze a big "meh". Their "Fast Fired" pizza pales in comparison to local pizza joints like Favo. I patronized Blaze a while back because of Favo's earlier closing hours (thank you, COVID). While I found the pizza to be okay, the crust was rather chewy and, shall I say it again. "meh". Better than other chains (Pi Craft) but not as good as the locals. Pizza would be probably best eaten on site.

Yelp
Very quite evening when I stopped in but got busy afterwards. I have been to other Blaze in different states and each has variations in construction. As I ordered my build your own pizza you could see the photo how it came out. I had it on crispy side / eel fine to soak up any brine from veggies. Very tasty pizza with end selections of sizzle sauces after pizza is cooked .. great service with smiles.,

Yelp
Alright, here we go. I have officially found the worst pizza place in Rochester, NY. Blaze Pizza is ableist and discriminatory, not only to their workers but to their customers as well. I require both a mobility aid and a service animal. They told me I wasn't allowed to enter with a service animal (this is against ADA law, a federal placement). They also gave me dirty looks the entire time I ordered. The meal was outrageously expensive. Their food is dry and not up to par at all. If you're in Rochester, and you're craving pizza, there are so many better places to go (like Mark's Pizzeria and Pontillo's Pizza). Do yourself a favor and take your hard earned money elsewhere.

Yelp
I just tried their new white pizza with maple and roasted butternut squash. It also has rusted sweet garlic and roasted red peppers and Italian sausage and bacon. Nice combination of sweet and salty. It's a winner for for fall taste buds! Don't take my word for it come try it for yourself snd when you order you'll also get 30 extra bonus points added to your account which could mean a free item when you get to the points accumulated.

Yelp
I love the concept of pick-your-own-topping pizza chains. I was originally introduced to this concept by this chain in California called Pieology, which I really like. Blaze is similar, based in Pasadena, and apparently Lebron James is a big fan/partner. Anyways, I didn't come here because of LBJ (more of a Steve Nash/Steph Curry guy). There's a big parking lot. I always go with the $8.65 unlimited topping option. I prefer to have lots of vegetables on my pizza, especially arugula. The pesto and buffalo are my favorite sauces.

Sam G.

Yelp
Always have to come here at least once a month! Love a personal pizza when your in a personal mood ! Place was busy yesterday but they caught up and still had a pleasant attitude and service. Pizza was great and the place was clean, especially the bathroom too
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
What is better than a pizza pizza pace where you can watch your pizza bake to perfection! Pizza to order with the perfect blend of mozzarella and Parmesan and pesto dough balls to die for! The staff was cheerful and pleasant during the mid day rush!
google avatar

Ricky Z.

Yelp
I didn't think the Chipote-ization of restaurants would ever make it to the pizza industry because of the time it takes to make a pizza, but Blaze is here to prove me wrong. I heard about this chain because LeBron James is a major investor, so thought it would be cool to check out for lunch when I was in the area. Well priced at about $10 with tax for unlimited toppings. I was surprised at how good everything tasted when it came out! You do need to have an extra few minutes to wait for your food than other lunch spots, but it's really not too much longer and worth the time investment IMO

Yelp
Sad because I know this place has good pizza, but for some reason the 2 times I went for pick up they botched the orders and burnt the pizzas. Twice! First time they burned it I was okay with it, cause maybe they were having a hard time or short on people because of covid-19. Second time wasn't a coincidence anymore, and our friends also got pizza from there the same day and theirs wasn't even a little burnt. So disappointed. They also left it out sitting in the pickup area for about 2 hours. Ordered around 5:30 to pick up at 7:30, saw on the receipt that they finished making it around 5:40. Letting pizza sit out for that long??? Gross. Sent a review through their website and haven't heard back either.

Yelp
Ordered for a gathering of friends around the fire pit, several pies. I specifically picked this place to share with friends from across the country some real wood fired pizza, not the typical pie I order for the kids on Friday nights. Blaze was not the best. I expected epic crust and it was limp. I expected the arugula to pop! Nope, hardly noticed it. And the the pesto finishing sauce was forgotten. It appears that the chefs may need more guidance as to the standard Blaze is trying to achieve in regards to outstanding pizza. This pizza was not memorable.

Yelp
Best pizza place ever and I have to say Pi craft is not even close. Their drinks are so good too. Must try that lemonade. Can't wait to come back here soon. Keep up the great work guys.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious and Maria the cashier was very nice and cashed us out efficiently!

Yelp
Blaze is the Chipotle of pizzas. Which is funny, because I debated going to Chipotle, but decided to try this instead! They have a couple of pre-made pizzas for you to choose from, but you'd be a fool if you didn't make your own. For less than $9, you can completely customize a pizza with UNLIMITED toppings -for no extra charge. They have different sauces, cheeses, meats, and tons of vegetables to choose from. They flash-cook the pizzas, so they're done really quickly. To be honest, I think I'd rather wait a little longer for a more traditionally cooked pizza with a thicker crust. The crust kind of resembled a cracker in thickness and in taste. My only other complaint about the taste is that the vegetables didn't taste super fresh. That may have something to do with the flash-cooking; who knows. After your pizza comes out, you have the option to drizzle some finishing sauces and spices - the customization just never ends! All in all, this is a fun place with unbeatable prices. You can of course get better pizza elsewhere, but Blaze is worth a visit.

Yelp
Can't in good conscience give any more than one star. Bottom line .. order placed at 7:55 p.m, I had to call GrubHub at 9:08 p.m. to inquire the whereabouts of my order .. the operator said the driver left it outside at 8:50 p.m. .. considering it is 37 degrees outside the food was disgusting .. if I was the manager of this Blaze location .. I would do my due diligence and find out if the food left was freezing cold from the restaurant or if the driver was clueless and didn't think to ring the doorbell rather than simply leaving the food outside. Either way horrible experience .. Can't say that I would recommend this restaurant and certainly not GrubHub or this driver.

Yelp
Excited that a Blaze Pizza has opened in Rochester. For those that don't know, it is a chipotle/moes style pizza place where you pick your toppings as you go down the line and then they fire it up and have it ready in a few minutes. I've been to the one in Albany and this location is pretty much identical... just like any other franchise. Employees were very friendly and used my name in each step of the process. I got a build your own pizza and it was delicious.

Yelp
Great pizza for the price and the time spent! Lots of ways to customize your own pie, but several wonderful signature styles are available too. They even ask you if they put enough cheese on, etc. They have shakers of parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes available and also sriracha. I had the green stripe signature pizza and it was very tasty. I would get it again sometime. The crust is very light and thin but crispy and the flavor was good. The pesto was spot on and everything was tasty without being too salty. My boyfriend got the Meat Eater signature pizza and he was thrilled. I also loved the fountain drinks. I tried the coconut agua fresca. Delicious! They also have flavored lemonades and iced tea and all the regular stuff. We didnt try anything else, but they do have a few light desserts like cookies and brownies. They also have side salads and full salads. The selections for salads looked more creative than most places. There was one with raspberries on it that stuck out. Finally, they have garlic knots also. Two happy campers!

Yelp
Probably like most people, I am pretty picky about my pizza. (I will eat pretty much any pizza, anytime, but do have my favorites, LOL.). And, I have to say, I have really enjoyed the pizza from Blaze. I was skeptical about this pizza chain, but I had a coupon for a BOGO, so decided to try it out. And, I wasn't disappointed. I liked it enough that I've been back, sans coupon, four times since. I've never ordered a large, just the standard 11-inch, but I assume the large pizzas are the same. I find the standard size perfect for me. It's not an overwhelming amount, but certainly leaves me full and satisfied if I eat the whole thing. I love the fact that you can build your own and choose from quite a nice variety of toppings. I also like that the pizza makers were not skimpy with the ingredients and when I asked for more cheese, there was no extra charge. Aside from classic pizza dough, Blaze also offers a hIgh-rise dough, as well as a gluten-free crust, cauliflower crust and a Keto crust. There is an additional charge for those, which is unfortunate, but I understand that the specialty crusts cost the restaurant more. I don't know about the high-rise crust, but the other speciality crusts are premade. I did try the Keto crust once, and it was okay, but I would not get it again. Not only do they offer five different sauces, but there are quite a few choices for cheese, meat and veggies, including seven cheese choices (plus a vegan cheese), seven types of meat and fourteen kinds of veggies. When your pizza is ready, you also have the option to have it drizzled with six different sauces. I also like that they carry Mexican Coke in bottles (it has pure can sugar instead of corn syrup) and a soda fountain with some nice Mexican-style fruit juices. As the name suggests, the pizzas are done pretty quickly. The staff has always been nice and accommodating. And, the space, while kind of plain and cafeteria-like, has always been clean. Want some pIzza and want it quickly, without sacrificing tastE? Give Blaze a try!

Yelp
I really don't know whether to rate this as a "fast food restaurant" or a "pizza restaurant." It does a great job at both!! We went for the first time on Pi Day, and, of course, it was super busy. But the employees did a great job at getting everyone through the line to purchase their $3.14 pizza. Everyone was super friendly. I was definitely pleased with the quality of the pizza and the abundance of toppings. The 2 different garlic toppings are SO DELICIOUS! And the Chipotle-style ordering system is super fun. One thing I didn't get that I highly recommend you do is the arugula topping at the end! My husband got this, and it looked so mouth-watering! This place definitely rivals some of the sit-down pizza restaurants and blows "fast food" places out of the water! So visit Blaze and get both!

Yelp
Blaze Pizza of Rochester was a solid offering. We ordered a few pizzas, salads and cheesy bread. All of the items were fresh and full of flavor. Our order was prepared for pick up quickly and on time. Blaze was not given a five because of the pricing. Although the regular small pies were reasonable, the large salad and combo (half pizza and half salad) weren't worth the money for what we got in our tummy. Don't let these issues stop you from going because taste supersedes a few bucks.

Yelp
First time here. I ordered a white top pizza - not too bad. Was kind of disappointed in the service because someone took my friend's pizza so she had to wait another 15-20 mins for her pizza.

Yelp
Never disappoint. For the price of the pizza this is a true 10/10. Staff is nice, food tastes great, with less than a ten minute wait and there's always good vibe and good music in the restaurant.

Yelp
Don't waste your money. Received an empty box that was supposed to contain "dough knots", one pizza missing artichokes and olive oil drizzle, & one pizza a sloppy mushy mess. When we contacted them, the employee LAUGHED about the dough knots that they forgot to put in the box instead of being apologetic.

Yelp
The customization available for pizza sauces and toppings are very reminiscent of the layout for options like you would find at a chipotle. When you start your order, you can advise on the sauce, toppings, and other fixings. In my case, I made a pizza with a creamy white sauce. I added mozzarella, goat cheese, ricotta cheese, sausage, bacon, chorizo, red onions, and garlic. That's a mouthful but trust me it was very delicious. The crust was crunchy and thin with a little bit of extra crunch at the very edge. Not burnt, just more toasted, which I loved. The staff was very friendly and walked me through the entire process. It didn't take much time for the pizza; approximately 7 minutes if I'm not mistaken. Two people can share a pie but I can easily see someone devouring a pizza on their own. Either way, you have the option for dining in or take out. I did also notice a section where they had 'to go' orders ready, so that seems to be an option as well. In this instance, I dined in and also drank the blood orange lemonade, which was very delicious. The blackberry basil juice was good, but not as good as the lemonade. For those unsure of options or being that there are so many to choose from, they do have some preset favorites on the menu above. A good choice to review if in case you are overwhelmed with what to get.

Yelp
I love this place. I've only come at lunch time and it's fairly packed, but the line goes quickly. Love that you can add as much to your pizza as you want. Every pizza I've had has been super flavorful and heaping with fresh ingredients. Delicious. I've ordered once online for in-store pick up. When I walked in they were pulling it out of the oven.. perfect timing.. and I got to skip the line! Would recommend

Yelp
Exceptional service. It's rare that I say that. My boyfriend and will be coming back. I got the garlic vegan pizza. He got chicken garlic. It tasted really good. It was light, but filling. Victoria made us feel very welcomed. She was very attentive and answered any questions we had.

Yelp
Pizza is consistantly very good. However, be careful if you order "pick-up". You see, they have this convenient set of shelves labled for pick up orders. In theory, you would just head over to your alphabetically assigned shelf, grab your order and be on your way. Not here, that shelf area is just a ruse to make you waste time. You actually have to go wait in line to pick it up. The cash register where you actually get your order is literally 5 feet from the fake out shelves. Ordered 2 pizzas and bread stix..received 3 boxes..got home and instead of bread stix, got someone elses door dash pizza..i feel bad for the door dash person, but I wasnt driving all the way back there to fix Blaze's mistake. Hopefully they will complain also
