"Blaze Pizza, a chain known for 'fast fire’d' pizza, is opening a new outlet in Pleasanton's Rose Pavilion Shopping Center. Originating from the founders of Wetzel’s Pretzels, Blaze Pizza is heavily endorsed by LeBron James. The restaurant offers pizzas assembled to order and baked in an ultra-hot oven for just three minutes." - Eve Batey

Google
Blaze Pizza is honestly the best! The employees are always so friendly and make you feel welcome every time you walk in. The pizza is amazing—fresh, tasty, and cooked just right. It’s hard to find a pizza place that you genuinely love, but this one has become my go-to. Great service, great food—I can’t recommend it enough!

Sakshi T

Google
Blaze is my absolute favorite for a quick dinner or satisfied pizza craving. This is literally the best pizza out here. The base, sauce, toppings, service, everything comes to 5 star every single time. I've influenced ALOT of people to try you guys! Will continue as well. Highly suggested!.

Roseanne Neilsen

Google
Simply scrumptious! The crust was thin and crispy with a perfect balance of ingredients. Staff was friendly and the dining area clean. Will be visiting again!

Dave Wang

Google
Love it! Very friendly service. Love my customized pizza with every meat and upgraded dough!

Katie Orr

Google
Pizza was good, and for the price and toppings, I would get it again. As for the desserts, do not buy. Both were hard, burnt, and small and not worth the $3.15 for each one. Mistake! Plus, I couldn’t call to express what I liked and disliked. I was told to go to a website that wouldn’t load up on my phone. It gets 3 stars for this order.

candice Williams

Google
Great customer service..very friendly...clean environment...fresh ingredients...loved the pizza.

Jacqueline Coleman

Google
This is the first pizza place I have been, that it cleans with professional staff. I was able to build my own pizza mix with meat and cheese and vegetables.! It was good.

Google
Visited them today on opening day. Loved their Pizzas and concept. It’s Subway concept. Fresh dough , base made in front of you. You choose toppings, sauce etc. pizzas are yummy. I found them reasonable priced too.

Shannon J.

Yelp
I really like the thick crust here. My boyfriend and I come often enough and thought I'd leave a review on it. I love the pizza and we get the same person helping us each time. Nice and patient while we choose. Last time we went I got the cauliflower crust and I loved it! My boyfriend for the keto crust and wasn't the biggest fan of it but all to their own I guess. It's a nice little spot.

Diane N.

Yelp
Decided to try Blaze pizza since I wanted to see how it compared to Mod. It's a bit of the same however I think Blaze has a little bit of edge. I liked how they gave you the option to make the pizza crispier (cook longer). I went for the 2-topping 11 inch with pepperoni and mushroom. I also had ranch on the side. The pizza was cooked perfectly. I was greeted right when I came in and since I ordered online, my pizza was ready. Next time I need to try their salads and s'mores!

Randy B.

Yelp
11" and 14" sizes of ZA, that's 6 and 8 slices to you and me. The 11" is perfect for about $15. BTW, in 2013, it was $7.45 for the same, but chalk up inflation, popularity, and the fricken pandemic and minimum wage increases. I like the concept. Direct someone to build a custom topping pizza for you as you point and grunt. Like if you're at Subway or Chipotle, order at the counter going down the line. When you say "That's it", pay at the cashier...and when your order is ready...they call your name to pick it up. It's quick -- done in about 7 minutes. They have the standard type of toppings, and gourmet ones, too, and guess what? You can have any toppings you like for that flat price. The crust is ultra thin, and it's good for the machine pressed dough! Improvement: in 2013 I rated another location "Tasteless. Slightly thicker than matzoh underneath." But now, I like it a lot. The price point is fair for a medium-size pizza. It's fast, it's nice in decor, and they're open late. Come on everyone, pizza is fun!

Heather H.

Yelp
This is your normal blaze franchise, quick easy and consistent. Just what you need on a quick Friday night for dinner. The employees at this location are friendly and man are they fast. Thank you. Note to management: plates and silverware would be a great addition to make one feel as if you are not just a take out place.

Cynthia C.

Yelp
Stopped by during a trip and ordered the 4 peice pepperoni pizza. It was horrible thin flat pizza that tastes burnt. Even my 3 yr old wouldn't eat it.

Reina L.

Yelp
I loved Blaze Pizza in college and I still love it now! Shoutout to Pie day for reminding me how nice it is to build my own pizza. They have so many options here! Since pie day, I've already been here 2 more times. I can usually finish around half the pizza so it's perfect to save for lunch the next day. I always forget that they can also add sauce on top after your pizza comes out of the oven. My favorite is the balsamic glaze and I always ask them to add a bunch of arugula! Pretty easy to find parking in the big lot, there's a good amount of seating inside, and the people that work here are super nice and friendly!

Michelle Z.

Yelp
3.5 stars! Super, super thin crust and I like how you can build your own pizza. The 11 inch size (build your own) is $13.25 with unlimited toppings. I think I overdid it with the toppings and sauce because the middle portion of the pizza was soggy. Nice crisp on the crust though and the flavors were pretty good! The 11 inch was a good size and I had enough for lunch and dinner.

Steve T.

Yelp
I liked this place and it surprised me how good it was as it doesn't look like much walking by . I liked their meatballs with red sauce and chili peppers for $8. I want to try their pizza next .

Rebekah A.

Yelp
This Blaze Pizza location is always solid. The interior is always clean, the toppings containers are always fresh, and they usually don't burn my crust like other locations do. Ultimately, I give them 5 starts because they're always on top of it when it comes to customer service. The staff here is always very friendly and paid extra attention to details, like asking if the amount of Arugula or ranch drizzle was good before they finished the finishings. 10/10 recommend this location. They've been a go-to for us with their diet friendly crust options!

Tanay M.

Yelp
actually ten out of ten and very delicious food, server time was quick and they were super nice. Also were cooperative and chill

Lindsey D.

Yelp
Love this pizza and location!! Great price for the 11 inch pizzas and I love how easy the app is to use and customize. The service is usually efficient and I've never had an issue if my order was incorrect in getting a replacement. Chill vibe in the restaurant, though I always take my order to go. My favorite is the white top with chicken and the high rise crust! The desserts haven't wow'd me, but the pizza keeps me coming back!

Jack H.

Yelp
This location was a very clean restaurant. They were very quick in getting us our food, and no issues at all with the service. Blaze in general is a solid place for those craving pizza but don't want to commit to a big family style pizza. I would say the dough wasn't great. It is nice to get to choose as many toppings as you want, but it almost feels like a distraction to an average dough.

Cheryl L.

Yelp
I downloaded the app and got the pi deal for $3.14. This was my first time at Blaze Pizza. I was in line for 10 minutes and a pro tip to order on the app so you can bypass the line. I think online orders take precedence. A lady in line told me to "build my own pizza." I added EVERYTHING on my pizza from chicken, bacon, pineapples, olives, peppers, and the list goes on and on. Around 10 minutes later, my pizza was done. It was delicious because I made it. I would recommend this place but order online for faster service. Oh and btw- I got a coupon in my email for an additional $3.14 pizza so I'm definitely coming back again!

Frances L.

Yelp
I love build your own pizzas and Blaze Pizza is great! Tasty crust, fresh toppings and friendly service. I brought my son and his friends here for lunch and we all enjoyed our pizzas. I like the variety of sauces and toppings available and will definitely be back again.

Suzanne O.

Yelp
Blaze is definitely one of my favorite spots. The ingredients are fresh and love their crust! We always do a build your own on the thicker crust, and it never disappoints! So happy there is one on this side of town hoping one opens up in San Ramon!

Stan M.

Yelp
Fast, quality ingredients and tasty. You can order off the menu or create your own pizza. I chose shredded mozzarella & fresh mozzarella. Red classic sauce, sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, olives, onions, roasted garlic. Out of the oven pesto drizzle.

James J.

Yelp
Happy Pi day!!!! We checked out this spot tonight and it was on fire!!! Line out the door, pizza for $3.14 and nonstop toppings..... FiRE!!! Staff was on point kicking out pizzas like nobody's business! The establishment was well maintained, clean and kept well for the amount of clientele they received. Pizza were excellent. Many thanks to the staff for all their hard work tonight. All puns intended. Pizzas were BLAZING.

Matt C.

Yelp
shut this place down. every time i come in here the workers look at me like i'm crazy. i'm waiting to order. then when they serve me they sigh and scoff and show attitude when i point out the fact that they put TWO pieces of jalapeño on my pizza. absolutely ridiculous. i come every few months to see if anything may have improved at all. it hasn't. matter of fact, it's gotten worse.

Pj M.

Yelp
Friendly staff and very clean seating area. Healthy ingredients to choose from. I know healthy and pizza don't normally go together but they do here. Best way to make your own pizza and enough for two meals. Remember if you don't think they have put enough of a specific ingredient on your pizza just ask for more and they will add more.

C.E. B.

Yelp
Still a nice concept. One price you can get many toppings as you want. You can choose between Thin or thick crust

Jaime R.

Yelp
I come here for the vegan options, so thank you! Most of the time the people making the pizza don't know about cross contamination and hardly know how to make a pizza. I was pleasantly surprised by Nick today on his kindness, and willingness to make the pizza correct and balanced. He even told the person at the oven "well done". I appreciate todays service!

Ragu M.

Yelp
Excellent pizza, lots of vegetables and a wide variety of other toppings. very friendly and great customer service. I like my crust golden Brown and that's the way I got it.

East Bay R.

Yelp
Mega Mushroom initially more meager than mega, then reasonable but not mega. I tried the Blaze special for the month, their Mega Mushroom. The photo in their ad shows a pizza crammed with so many mushrooms that some were stacked on top of one another. Being a mushroom lover, that would have been wonderful! However, the first pizza that I received was sparse, I daresay less than 1x. After I referenced their claim and photo, they were kind enough to redo the pizza, and I drove back across town. The redo, perhaps 2x for them, which would have been a normal mushroom pizza at some pizzerias (and still not like the photo). They did ask me what I thought. I appreciated their gesture, but I didn't want to wait to have them redo it again (I just treated it as 1x + 2x = 3x). Maybe in earnest when the mushrooms were sprinkled on, it appeared more packed to them, and they shrunk after cooking. In any case, from my viewpoint, I think this is just another example of companies publishing exaggerated/misleading ads. Note: This review was not about the quality/taste of the pizza itself, which was good. (Sorry, I really wanted to show my photos for comparison but haven't been able to find them and grab it from my phone, not being very good at doing that.)

Sunny M.

Yelp
The staff members were not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly efficient in guiding me through the ordering process. Despite the bustling environment, my pizza was assembled with speed, demonstrating the team's commitment to delivering prompt and attentive service to every customer. i will be coming every werk and it is worth trying this pizza. if you haven't try it. please try it. pawan

Yelp
This is the 1st time that I've actually come to Blaze Pizza to get a pizza. Today, is PI DAY att Blakes. We were able to get an 11 inch pizza for $3.14. It would usually cost $10.25. We had my favorite combination: garlic pesto, chicken, fresh mozzarella, mushrooms, artichokes, and pesto drizzled on top. We added Parmigiano at the table. It was so good that ate half of the pizza. Of course it was really fresh because we ate it there. What we didn't get was we could have got more toppings. You actually watch your pizza being built while you are in line. Then it goes in the oven for about 8 or 9 minutes and a pizzalolo pulls it out. Our pizza came out of the oven with the crust cooked perfectly and golden on top.

Navin K.

Yelp
Make your own pizza - Subway style - with gluten-free cauliflower-crust and Keto-crust options freshly made in-house. The kids got an 11-inch half cheese and half pepperoni-and-mushroom original thin-crust pizza ($8.25) and the grownups went with an 11-inch Keto thin-crust barbecue chicken pizza ($9.25 plus $4 for the special crust). A small Caesar salad ($5.95) rounded out the order and brought the bill to a penny under $30. Pizzas were tasty but not very filling, and I preferred the original crust to the keto crust. Service was quick and friendly. Parking was easy. We will be back to try other (more filling) options.

Kai C.

Yelp
Customer service is terrible. Not only do you get a "I don't care" attitude from the male employees there, you receive disrespectful and judgmental glaring eyes from the female employees. It shouldn't matter if this is a family ran business, you should understand how to treat your customers. Would rather much support the competition even if it meant driving farther to avoid the attitudes of these employees. 0 stars on service if I could.

Candace W.

Yelp
Staff was friendly. I was able to order online ahead of time and when I arrived they were finishing up my pizzas. The pizzas came out hot. Restaurant was very clean and there was a variety of drinks. I ordered two build your owns and a pesto cheddar bread. Everything was delicious but I noticed when I got home one of my pizzas had pineapple on it. I double checked my receipt and I had not ordered pineapple. For me it wasn't a huge deal as I just removed it but if I had an allergy this could have been an issue. I'll come back but maybe not do the online ordering so I can watch them make my pizza.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
They are Always so friendly when I come here to eat and pizza is flavorful. Would recommend if you're passing by.

Jeff W.

Yelp
Today was the first time I've had Blaze Pizza. I ordered the large BYO with the 4 dough knots. We had a variety of toppings - basil, red sauce, vegan cheese, mushrooms, ham, onions, meatballs. I ordered just before 8pm and requested a pick up time of 8:30. I arrived at 8:34, walked to the back and picked up my order from the shelf. It was still hot in the box. The crust is really good. It's a thin crust but strong/thick enough to hold all the toppings well. The cheese was a bit stronger than I expected but everything had a great flavor. The basil and onions were a great addition to the pizza. The dough knots were thick and heavy with strong garlic flavors. It came with marinara sauce, but very little of it. I think the plastic container was only 1/4 full. I expect more of the sauce for 4 dough knots and a dinner meant to serve 3-4 people. I can usually eat over half of a large pizza myself in one sitting, but this one was very filling and I only ate 3 pieces. Overall a good place. I'd come here again but won't get the dough knots again nor the vegan cheese. Solid 4 stars.

Tommy C.

Yelp
Used to come here for lunch when I worked in the area. Decided to give their takeout a shot when I passed by recently. I'm not sure if they have new management, but the staff was in a state of chaos and confusion. I processed my order through their website and set a pickup time. When we arrived it appears they had either forgotten or missed our order. We waited for another 20min after arriving. That's longer than what it normally takes to get a pizza when I order at the counter. The quality and taste of the pizza has fallen off a bit from when they opened as well. Don't bother with the caprese salad. It was a waste of $10. Garlic knots might have been the best thing we got this time. Pieology and Mod pizza are more organized and consistent.

Jong L.

Yelp
Good pizza with bad management. The last 3 times I've gotten pizza there, they have forgotten little things like sauce on the side, using regular red sauce instead of spicy red sauce like I ordered, among other things. There doesn't seem to be any sort of control to make sure orders are accurate. These things can be corrected, but it seems like management won't put in the effort.

Alvin M.

Yelp
Nice location, but they don't make their pizza crusts as nice, crispy, and slightly burnt crusts as how the Berkeley or Fremont location does them. I like blaze because of the toasted bottom of the pizza. But here in Blaze Pleasanton, they take it out a bit too early that it's missing that texture I like from blaze.

Kimberly T.

Yelp
I tried this place out last week. I embarrassed myself because I didn't know about the ordering process. My family is a bunch of basic boring cheese pizza eating babies. My husband told the young man working there " Hi, 2 cheese pizzas, regular red sauce, and mozzarella. Thanks" I see the kid writing down the info on a piece of paper. Then, I walk up and say, "Hi, I'd like a pizza with cauliflower crust, red sauce, and jalapeños, and ..... The kid stopped me and said "Whoah, wait, you need to walk over this way, she will help you and you order each item you want" (like a pizza assembly line). So once I got over my confusion, I really liked this concept. There was no line behind me, and I used a lot of those options. I had them build a beautiful pizza, they fired it in the oven, we took them home and mine tasted great! The monotony club also really liked their cheese pizzas I did see, as we were leaving that there are additional toppings/sauces to go on your finished product- Buffalo, Pesto, etc. I would have been down to try some spiciness on top, but I noticed too late. I wish any one of the employees would have been a bit more enthusiastic. After all I DID mention that I had never been here before. It's that familiar lack of enthusiasm, they help you- but it's like they're doing you a personal favor, rather that their paid job. The owner or manager or whoever the oldest staff member was, didn't even make eye contact. Not exactly welcoming. These are the things I notice when I chose to treat my family. So in summary, it was tasty, there's a wonderful variety of dough, sauce, and toppings. It can get a bit pricey if you're feeding the whole family. I definitely recommend trying at least once to see and taste for yourself.

Yelp
First time coming to this specific location. This Blaze Pizza is in a good area of Pleasanton! Resides in the plaza where there are several other types of food cuisines and has the 99 Ranch Market. Walked in on a Friday afternoon, but unfortunately took a long while to get noticed by any employee. Please note I was the only customer inside at this time. I stood by the front for a few minutes where I just witness a few male employees in the back listening to music but no eyes on the front of the restaurant. No one noticed me! Eventually, the young gentleman sees me and comes to take my order. Not a great start..... but the food makes up for a majority of it. Blaze Pizza is basically a "go down the line and add what you want". Like Chipotle or Subway. Genius right? I like Blaze because they have a good variety of toppings to choose from and all are prepped very well and great taste. I just add my unique taste with a nice end of pesto sauce and oregano to finish the deal. For the price of your own pizza at around $12 it's not too bad of a deal. I am a big eater and can usually eat the whole pizza in one sitting. I would come back to Blaze, but not sure about this location unfortunately due to the lack of service here. Might give another try in future if I'm ever in the area.

Rhonda B.

Yelp
I love this place! I'm vegan, and the crew here always remembers me. They change into clean gloves and use a fresh slicer to cut my pizza. The extra care and attention they show is much appreciated! The restaurant is very clean, and their pizza toppings are always fresh. I love their vegan cheesy bread!! Thank you for always such great care of us and making us feel so welcome!!

Selah C.

Yelp
I have been to a lot of Blaze locations & this is the best by far! Super clean & the two girls working were super great! The counter with all the food was clean and the ingredients were all well prepared! :)

Kim T.

Yelp
Did you say free pizza today 11/15?! Oh yea. Be prepared to wait 1 hr but worth the wait. Least for today 1. Stare at menu 2. Decide: build your own (highly recc this), be lazy and pick one of the ones they setup 3. BYO: you get to choose as much of whatever you want!!! 4. Wipe the drool off your lips as you watch your handcrafted pizza go in the over for a quick few minutes 5. Add some agua fresca, tea, soda, salad, dough knots, and even dessert if ya like! 6. Get fresh pizza. WAIT A FEW MIN, unless you like burning your tongue, then have at it. ENJOY! Least fav topping: meatball rest was great. Great toppings: Spicy sauce, ovalini mozzarella, shredded mozz, pepperoni, salami, artichoke, banana pepper. Jalapeno, red onion, green bell pepper (wish it cooked more), basil , mushroom Parking: same plaza as Ranch 99 so pretty easy Seating: Only inside for now Staff: Super friendly considering how crazy today will be for them BONUS: Ran into Ada C and Maple! Although I was in my car so I didn't get to pet her. *sad face

Kev H.

Yelp
I visited this Blaze on a Tuesday night and it wasn't busy at all. The staff was very friendly and really put some effort into making my pizza. As of January 2020, a "Build Your Own" pizza was priced at $9.50 ish which came with unlimited toppings. Meanwhile, if you're a two-topping kind of person, it would be $7.50. A one-topping was priced at $6.50. In summary, the price was reasonable. For each "Build Your Own" pizza, I opted for the original dough with a classic red sauce. For the cheese, I went wild and requested multiple kinds, which they happily accommodated. I got mozzarella, ricotta and Gorgonzola. For the meat, I liked their wide selection from the classics such as pepperoni and Italian sausage to salami, ham and bacon. For the veggies, I opted for artichoke hearts, basil and red onion slices. I finished my pizza with arugula. I also got their desserts: a brownie and a sea salt chocolate cookie. Both were great, and I especially really liked the cookie. The sea salt really brought up the richness of the chocolate, it was perfect. I would most definitely go back in the future.

Yelp
Came here for its grand opening and there was free pizza all day! I came about 10 minutes after it opened and there was a pretty long line (expected). It's located in the same plaza as 99 ranch which is convenient and there's lots of parking. Unfortunately there's no outdoor seating for people with dogs but the manager BJ said they will be adding outdoor tables and chairs with heaters after they acquire their alcohol license! Win situation! There's an assortment of seating inside and your typical queue in line and pizza making station. Considering the huge amount of people coming to order pizza, the staff did amazing! Staff are super friendly and informative. I ordered a customized pizza for my dad and I. The pizza was delicious and perfectly baked. Loving the vibe of the place and super excited for Pleasanton to have a personal customizable pizza joint!

Pranamee S.

Yelp
I think I first had this in their Fremont location years ago and it was a great experience. However yesterday something was off with the flavor, combination, service and also the chicken was not cooked so I had to cherry pick all the chicken pieces out of my Chicken Pizza! I am still confused if their BBQ chicken pizza had blue cheese in their menu as a listed item or was it a mistake just yesterday to my pizza because it tasted weird on a pizza. Never had a BBq chicken pizza that tasted all blue cheese and nothing sweet or BBQ! The chicken pieces that went on both our pizzas (the other one was a custom made) was undercooked and for the BBQ there were chunks of raw pieces. The concept is cool but our experience wasn't great and now I have an upset stomach blaming me for craving pizza!

Yvonne D.

Yelp
good service and staff worked so quickly during pi day while maintaining good quality. pizzas came out fast after ordering and tasted great!

Mathew M.

Yelp
First time at a Blaze Pizza and loved the customization options and healthy ingredients. Staff was friendly and helpful! Pizza was delicious, especially the fresh mozzarella and garlic pesto base sauce! The pizza oven was fast and efficient and the finishing olive oil drizzle was a nice touch. Keep up the good work Blaze Blaze in Pleasanton! See you next time.

L J.

Yelp
Poor customer service and the staff is rude after messing the order. They are clueless of their work and very rude mean bad pathetic behavior by the teen kid in the restaurant. He lacked empathy, respect courtesy for their customers.

Rana S.

Yelp
Yummy and healthy pizza with good customer service! BBQ Chicken is my favorite but I like Veg Out pizza due to the fact I get my daily quota of vegetables

Tara M.

Yelp
My son and I were in the area and stopped off here on a whim. My first thought when I went in was this was a Mod copycat. Extremely similar set up and business model. We decided to order anyway. My son ordered the Meat Lovers and said he liked the pizza, but it wasn't his favorite. I ordered the Hot Link Pizza and really loved the flavor combination. The triple spice of the spicy sausage and two different types of peppers worked for me. I liked the thin crust as well. The pizzas were excellently cooked. The staff weren't very personable. My son actually said they both acted like they didn't want to be there and I agreed. They weren't mean, but both people behind the counter were really flat personality wise. It actually really bothered me so much I almost gave a three star rating. Between that and the outside tables clearly had not been cleaned. Ultimately, the pizza was so incredibly delicious I couldn't go lower than a four.

Mari N.

Yelp
This place is great! The food is served hot and the service is amazing. The pizza here is always my favorite and the atmosphere is so welcoming.

John B.

Yelp
Awesome service! Pizza was fresh and on time. We love coming to this location! Thank you Blaze Pleasanton Team!

Margaret L.

Yelp
I came here on opening day because there's free pizza. Who doesn't love free food? However, it was definitely very busy. The line was out the door for sure, wait time was pretty much at least an hour. I came here after work to wait in line for my free pizza around dinner time. There were at least a good 20-30 people in front of me and the line grew longer and longer as time passed. The Blaze employee would occasionally go through people in the line to make sure we downloaded the app and gave us a stamp for the free pizza. I believe we needed to download the app to get the free pizza. He also had little menus to hand out so we can decide what to get while we waited in line. This is your DIY pizza place, similar to Pieology and MOD Pizza. It's where you can customize your pizza all for 1 amazing price. So I go pretty crazy on these pizza places. If I can get 4 different types of meats, why not?! I also am a big white sauce type of gal, so I always opt for white sauce, all types of meat (sausage, chicken, bacon, meatballs) and occasionally veggies (artichoke hearts, mushrooms, spinach, roasted garlic) and I'll top it off with pesto. Although it was crazy busy, the employees definitely knew what they were doing. They were hustling around and making sure we got what we needed on our pizza. I decide to take my pizza home to enjoy it. I was pleasantly surprised on how it cooked compared to Pieology. It was crispy and soft enough. I felt like with Pieology, the pizza was "too doughy" or soft but this had a good crisp. I really enjoyed my customized pizza. I also got a soft drink and they have some unique juices/drinks too! This place wasn't too bad. This location is in the complex with the 99 Ranch grocery store, so across the street from the Trader Joe's complex in Pleasanton.
