Bleecker Street Bar

I didn't try the food so I can't rate it. This is a huge bar. It has several pool tables and dart boards. The decor is interesting. It has what looks like the entrance to a train station. The happy hour is very good. My only complaint is that if you pay cash, they don't want to give you a receipt. I don't know when establishments will realize that receipts have to be given, by law. This is a good bar for groups but it's also good for solo guests. I might go back to try the food and play some pool. By the way their Noho Margarita is excellent and they have Southern Tier Pumpkin.

Great atmosphere and a staff that truly cares about your experience. Rob, the bar manager, goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is safe and having a great time. I couldn’t speak more highly of this place. It’s perfect for events and large groups. Good people, great staff, and an experience you won’t regret.

Adam, Ben, Ski, Christian... probably the best bartenders in NY. I've spent hours there... in conversation with these guys, getting served by them, discussing music and toilet habits. They are terrific. And there's a nice selection of tap beers. It's a big space, but on Friday and Saturday nights you'll have to wait in line. (I go on Sundays and Tuesdays) Tacos are nice. And the wings are good, though the food is nothing special... but the ambience is special. I found the bouncers to be friendly, helpful, and nice and jokey. There's pool and darts in the back. Sometimes it gets a little jock-ish, but it is a sports bar, so waddaya expect? Usually the customers are as friendly as the bartenders. It's a great place to hang out.

Large beers at a very convenient price for the happy hour. The place was crowded and very loud, good service and a nice experience overall.

I use to go to the original Bleecker Bar and it closed a few years ago. I was disappointed because it was a great place. The new Bleecker Bar is right across the street from my barber (NOHO Hair Salon). Hair cut and a Guinness. The bartenders and staff are awesome.

Only positive things to say about Bleecker Street Bar. Great open space to go with friends or meet people, but the staff might be the most notable part. Rob might be one of the kindest managers I have ever met, going out of his way to make sure patrons are safe, happy, and taken care of. Another shoutout to Sal, a bouncer who will look after the safety of the others with no hesitation. Bartenders are attentive and overall vibe is great. Might have found a new favorite NYC bar!

This is my favorite place to be! I love coming in on sundays, sitting at the bar with my date and watching football! Crystal always remembers my drinks and is very attentive. The guy at the front door is always nice and happy to be there. OH and the garlic knots are delicious.

Unbelievable happy hour specials! Vibes were high! Perfect spot for after work drinks! 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back

Love this spot - lots of games, staff is amazing, it's huge, and the burger is bangin. So under rated. Awesome spot for any sports game, usually go after work.

My big homie was in town the Saturday night before St Paddys day and ordered us to meet him at Bleecker Street Bar. I'd never been and really didn't want to go out, but when the big homie is in town, you gotta dig deep. My fellow lil bro and I arrived and much to our chagrin, we were met with a pretty long line. After waiting in the cold for a few minutes, big homie comes out from the inside and daps the bouncer up and gives us a confused look while waving us in. That's why he the big homie! Big homie got me a negroni, and to be honest, it wasn't great...they were kinda light on the gin & campari... It came with one of those tiny little straws too... every time a drink comes with a straw all I can think about is Crazy Stupid Love when Ryan Gosling's character tells Steve Carrells "Rob, it's like you're sucking on a tiny shvantz" ahahahhaa. That scene single handedly stopped me drinking from straws. Well I am drinking this iced coffee from a straw rn, but that's neither here nor there. I realize this is more of a beer oriented establishment as it's more of a sports bar vibe, so that's lowkey on me. Big homie got one of the draft beers here and loved it. I shoulda just got a beer, but it just fills me up so quick, Idk. Prob shoulda just went tequila soda. Anyways, the crowd in here was great and it's a big open space, which is hard to come by in NYC. This is honestly a really fun bar and great to go watch sports games at or just have a good time with friends. The staff is super friendly and drinks are a great price. Definitely recommend

Great place to go to with a group of friends! For sure a younger crowd so be mindful of that. It does get really busy at times and getting a drink could take some time!

Mark is a great bartender and the area is great. We only had drinks so I cannot speak to their food but all of the other patrons seem to be enjoying theirs very much. The drinks are strong and moderately priced. It is one block away from the subway station so you can use the green lines 456. The bathrooms are gender neutral and huge single person rooms. There are 2 pool tables and booths or high top tables along with a huge bar with lots of seating. Overall it's a great place. Not too touristy but not just locals, a perfect combination.

The food was amazing. The service was great. Margaritas and Negronis were amazing. Would recommend to visit!

Came on a Friday night at 7 when there was plenty of room. An engagement party was happening in one section. They have two good pool tables and darts. Some tables are bar service only. We tried the margarita and mushroom truffle flatbreads, cheesy tots, nachos, and honey teriyaki wings. Food was pretty good but the menu is small and pretty much bar food only. Pool players were friendly. Later around midnight it was busy and more full but still just enough room not to be squished.

Wish I could give 0. ******UNSAFE****** It's a nice bar. But a few friends and I went to play pool. We were met with very aggressive people. We had put down our names on the chalkboard and on the table first. The bar staff seemed to encourage the aggressive behaviour at the tables. Defending the aggressors. Very strange vibe. I was threatened by a man saying he would hit me if we didn't get off the table.

What is most upsetting about the reopening of Bleecker Street Bar is that the new clientele who will be frequenting this joint, will never truly know how great the original was! The new and improved BSB delivers on the original but with more space to play with. Seems like a fun place to grab a beer (decent selection), catch a game with friends, throw darts or knock around some billiard balls. If you're amongst the 30+ age range, I would recommend coming on the earlier side of the things as it packs up with horny NYUers who can't seem to handle their liquor.... which is expected considering it's proximity to the University. Also highly recommend the wings and tater tots.. they slapped! Oh and the servers / waiters were top notch and super helpful.. even when the place got slammed. Definitely a college bar, but one that I won't mind revisiting even though college is well well wellllllllll in my rearview....

Good ambiance. Large open floor area which opens itself to a social scene for ppl of all ages. Would say it's pretty pricey for what it is, then again so are most bars in the city and especially this area. A fun second or even third stop in the night for the right crew.

The pizza is amazing and the staff was super nice! Very laid back and worth visiting.

Really enjoyed this place. We had a big post event celebration and i was able to bring in balloons, cookies and our own napkins and such to celebrate. The staff is super friendly and enjoy pouring great drinks. Wings and sliders were especially good - all food was yummy. Prices are very fair. Jukebox was a huge hit with everyone. Love that there's so much space to play. Bonus points for being wide open on Sunday. Thanks to all!

The bouncer was extremely rude and would not let my friend in on my birthday because she came 20 minutes late and made her wait an extra hour. The service was horrible

This is a college bar for sure. Pretty divey. No food. The bartender didn't seem happy to be there. The place is pretty large with a few back rooms for billiards and darts. I would have loved this place 30 years ago. It served my purpose for a quick stop to grab a beer while my teenage daughter's shopped in the village.

Great Bar. Fun environment. Open late. Desperately need to replace the dartboards darts just fall out every time. Other than that, great spot.

I'm so so so so glad they came back. I missed the vibe, drinks, people and games. It's as great as ever and love the food in the new location. Have tried the salad - which is divine - and the nachos. The drinks are delicious as ever. Don't go away again. Ever!!

We spent New Year's Eve here waiting for midnight and it was the best decision, it wasn't crowded and we were able to play pool (almost had the back room to ourselves most of the time), then we moved to the front room to watch the ball drop. Fun neighborhood bar with a homie feel, we got our drinks fast and had a server help us the whole time. Would definitely go back.

After a day out in SoHo, my bf and I stopped in here for their hot dog and to grab a couple of drinks! Since COVID is going on, we had to sit outside but restrooms are open to customers! (One customer at a time). I can see this as a divey bar on any other occasion as there are darts and billiards in the back. Staff are friendly and came to grab our order with a short wait. Reasonably priced and would def. come back here!

Great bar! Celebrated a friend's birthday and loved how close it was to the subway- they also let him reserve tables and bring in cookies/food! He also had pizza delivered around 7pm- it was a great idea and overall fun bar. They lose a star because it took a while to get a drink, this was 6pm on a Thursday and at times no one was behind the bar... kinda odd. Otherwise it was a nice spot!!! They also had a few dart boards in the back!!

Great bar! I come here for a nightcap when I'm in the area, as it's literally right next to the Broadway-Lafayette/Bleecker Street subway station. Whenever I visit, the same bartender is usually on duty. His name is Pete, and he's very hospitable! He's friendly and prompt with service, even during busy times. There's a vast selection of liquor, and the mixed drinks are satisfyingly strong. The security guards here have always been friendly to me - something that I consider to be somewhat of a rarity for bars in Manhattan. I don't expect a bouncer to be warm and welcoming, since that's not their job, but it's nice when they're cordial; a bonus, if you will. Drink prices are reasonable! I've never left the Bleecker Street Bar feeling like I didn't get what I paid for. It gets quite busy here on certain nights, but also seems to be a hit-and-miss. I've visited this bar on plenty of nights, expecting to be unable to find a seat at the bar, only to discover that things were relatively quiet. On the contrary, I've also walked in, expecting a chill atmosphere, only to encounter a bit of chaos! Just something to keep in mind, according with your preferences (not a diss against the bar). There's a few pool tables in the back and a jukebox. The Bleecker Street Bar is a no-frills establishment, but still manages to offer a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, friendly service, and an ample drink selection. I will continue to be a regular here!

If only Dave & Busters was like this. This neighborhood bar is crowded full of young folks, and has a ton of activities like darts, pool, ping pong, a Big Buck Hunter arcade game, a photo booth, coloring books[1], and the obligatory selection of beer and liquor. Bartender Alice exercised our livers, pouring us beers and shots galore[2]. Their photo booth alone is the best value ever, and worth the price of admission. $5 gets you two prints of photos. Choose black and white or color prints, and get them printed in no time flat. [1] Kidding on the coloring books. [2] My date outdrank me, I'm proud to admit.

BEWARE! THEY ARE STORING YOUR PRIVATE DL INFORMATION WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. As you enter the bar the bouncer asks to see your ID, which is normal and to be expected in a place like that. Instead of just making sure that you are 21, letting you enter and buy a drink they scan your driver licenses without telling you that they keep your data or asking for your consent to do so. Essentially, your home address, DOB and other private info stored in the barcode are kept in their system and you have no idea how it's being used or how it's protected. When we asked them why they do this the manager told us (with an unexpected dose of condescension and attitude for a grimy Village dive bar) that "in case you get drunk and cause problems they will ban you from their establishment for 30 days". I told him that if that's the case, this policy must be clearly displayed at the entrance so we can decide whether or not we want to enter and thus give them our info. To this the manager replied, with the same condescension, that a) it would take too long to get people's consent and b) they just don't have to do it. Take it or leave it. We left. Obviously. Because in an age when your private data is hacked, sold and accessed without our knowledge, a dive bar on Bleecker street is the last place you'd expect to know how to handle it with the appropriate care and security. And since NONE of the other places in the area, or in the city for that matter, have EVER done that we said, Adios! and spent our money in a different place. I personally find it disgusting that they approach this sensitive issue with so little regard for their clients' privacy.

Amazing!!!! Rhea is amazing! She is personable and really cares about the customers (she's there Fridays fyi!). She is always looking for ways to show appreciation to the staff and patrons! It's nice that the place is larger and has space To spread out for bigger groups.

Probably a 3.5 bumped to a 4. Bleecker Bar is not a mmemorable place, but then again, it does everything it sets out to do pretty decently. There are sports on the TV, darts and a pool table in the back, and good beers on tap at a bar that doesn't look the part. The crowd is a mishmosh of people coming into town to rage for a night, students, and a few regulars. It has this interesting vibe of a dive bar without some of the charm. If you're just looking for a place to grab a few drinks or to watch the game (sound off) without massive crowds, this could be the one.

Congrats Bleecker Street Bar - you are my favorite "kinda-chill-kinda-cray-with-lots-of-Room-for-activities" bar in Manhattan. That's a big deal. Key highlights are the following: Sports in all forms: It's mind boggling to me how hard it is to find a place to watch games in lower Manhattan that doesn't involve the ratchetness of sidebar Sundays. Yes this place can get pretty crazy on a Saturday but sundays it's a great spot for chill vibes. Additionally, if you are in the mood to play sports yourself, they have pool tables and dart boards. Prices: I judge prices based off of one thing which is how much my favorite cider costs (Wolffer of course). It's like $2 cheaper here so yeah that's a big win. (Please don't increase this price after reading this @management). Also fully recognize that that's likely not the best way to judge overall prices but it's worked for me so far ‍ Ability to order food: I hate when bars attempt to make bar food and it's not good. Bleecker Street bar doesn't have food BUT you can order food - win win situation since it's good food for probably a lower price. My go rod are Joes or Prince Street pizza but plenty of other options in the area. In summary: Saturday's can be crazy, Sunday's are usually chill, but it's almost always been a win for me so definitely recommend you check this place out!

Why did I never come here when I was in college??? It's the ultimate college bar. Crowded, social, casual, filled with 23-27 year-old guys and gals, getting wasted and hanging out. The bouncer is a cool guy, almost too cool for this place. You can make reservations for a table, like I did, but I didn't really need it because I hung out in the back playing pool and just my coat and things on a bar stool. Each game is $2, darts are also available, and you can order food to be delivered here, because they don't have any themselves (half star off). The bartender is slow to get you drinks but quick to ask for money (another half star off). It felt like hanging out at a frat house, which is not a bad thing. It was a really fun night out!

Average neighborhood bar with a very chill vibe. The usual selection of bottles and draft beers from large breweries and medium sized breweries owned by large breweries. Cocktails that I saw around other tables didn't look appealing at all. However they're all sold at a fair price, kudos to that. Probably the main reason for coming here would be the gaming area. It takes up about half the total area of the bar. Some dart boards and two pool tables consist of the gaming btw. 2 bucks in quarters for pool. Bit cramped for the cue stick so be aware of your surroundings. This one rather large fellow almost knocked my pint over (i was sitting on the table right to entrance of restrooms). Few TVs scattered around all over so can always catch whatever is going on that night. Friendliest bouncers ever. Super weird.

Nothing special but this is the bar I always go to before dinner around the block at Gato. Great beer selection and decent prices.

I'm really not a sports bar person. Actually I'm really not a sports person, however I had an enjoyable experience here recently. Mike the bartender was awesome. Friendly, but not invasive. My husband and I were here on an early Saturday afternoon, so college football was on. There weren't too many people here yet, which I was glad about because I'm sure it gets rowdy. They have a nice variety of seasonal beers. Fall beers are some of my favorites. You have to try the Freaktoberfest which had both pumpkin and espresso flavors. They also have darts, pool and a jukebox. My one criticism here is that this place could use a good deep cleaning, but I think that comes with the territory of old sports bars.

So you are in SoHo-ish area and you just want to grab a drink. You don't want to be dolled up and dressed to the 9's in such a trendy part of the city. WELL THEN THIS BAR IS IT. I actually loved everything about this bar and I have only been once. They have a great selection of alcohol. large bar, plenty of additional setting, darts, and a pool table. Wanna meet up with the crew and not break your wallet or just wanting to be casual? Welp this is it. I am so glad it is so close to my job. You got you a return customer

My friends and I always end up here after a fun night out. It's always a great time; however, it could get very crowded when football games are on. There's no way someone would get bored here. There's a darts section, a room with pool tables, a jukebox, and many screens throughout the space. The bartenders and bouncers are friendly too. What more could you ask for? Oh and for the ladies, I know there are only 2 stalls, but the line is always shorter than the guys line and most of the time, we do not even have to wait! It's a miracle. I love that this bar provides a relaxing atmosphere, but fun at the same time. Now go grab yourself some drinks and enjoy!

Decent sports bar with plenty of tvs, a pool section, and darts. I had a table with a group of friends and the service was surprisingly up to snuff. The drinks price is average compared to other sports bars.

Most affordable drinks I've purchased in Manhattan. This no-frills bar is la true neighborhood bar complete with pool and darts. If the craft cocktail scene isn't for you and you just want to drink somewhere totally unpretentious, this is it.

Any place that has delirium and palm: thumbs up. $6 beers, fair enough. Music was indistinguishable. Pool tables are nice, in case I ever want to embarrass myself*. Delirium on tap is weird to me. Palm in palm glasses but delirium in regular glasses, also weird to me. Delirium coasters make me giggle. Photo booth was the highlight of my night. I'll come back here just for the photo booth. And maybe a beer. Or two. Probably three, though, since they have a credit card minimum. *Impossible: I don't get embarrassed.

I enjoy this place for a cold beer and a pee. Yes, a pee. Its location (right off the subway, just off the Broadway craziness and close enough to my old apartment) lends itself for the necessities. That said, it used to be better. They used to have massive beers, like almost pitcher-sized that were only $10 bucks. Now, Im sure people were manhandling them and getting out of control (not me of course) but people must have taken advantage and they had to stop serving. Alas, now it is fun to come in here and toss some darts every now and again. Otherwise, there's not much to it and sometimes...thats exactly what you are looking for.

This bar is pretty chill. I love the antique furniture behind the bar. I came here to sort of wait until Gato opened up and was surprised at the slowness of the service given the fact that it was a Monday afternoon around 4:40. The work crowd still hadnt arrived yet so the bar wasn't busy yet the bartender was not very responsive or talkative to us, but I digress, it was a cool bar and I think I'd come back.

Stay away from this place !!! Horrible customer service My girlfriend is 3 months pregnant & we stopped by politely asked if she can use the restroom, even said I'll pay for a beer & they can just keep it. The waitress rudely refused & told us to go to Wendy's... She claimed it was the law... not sure which law state someone has to have a full table outside in order for a customer to use the restroom. Clearly felt like race played a huge part in her decision so I felt it necessary to advice future patrons. Btw the restaurant only had one table outside & preferred to lose a customer over the restroom.

A couple friends and I tried to come in for a drink and to shoot some pool but the door man wouldn't let us in because my friend appeared intoxicated. His exact words were 'i dont like the way you walked in here' to someone who has a disability and walks with a significant limp. We attempted, soberly, to talk to him, but he already had made his decision even after I attempted to pull him aside and explain. We hadn't been drinking so this was entirely discriminatory. I sincerely hope this will be addressed and not allowed to occur again in the future. This incident occurred Sunday night, dec 23rd- so the correct door man can be directly addressed.

I live on Mott and grew up in this area so i was going to meet a friend here for a drink. But my friend was running late and I had to pee lol. So i go in and i'm almost in another room when the bartender yells at me from across the bar, asking for my ID and telling me that the restroom is for customers only. Both very reasonable requests. However, yelling is pretty much not okay in general. No one likes it, especially not customers. But anyways i'm like, okay, fine. So he's standing over me after having yelled at me in front of the bar patrons so I'm shakily trying to find it in my wallet. He's like "this place is for 21 and up" and i understand this is now an NYU town so it makes sense that he would be shifty over IDs. I'm like okay, i'm 23, let me get my ID. I show it to him he's like "alright Elizabeth, what can I get for you to drink?" but at this point i'm not about to spend any money here lol. I flat out told him he was extremely rude and I wouldn't be buying anything, and I left. I work in a bar and have for years, so I understand his frustrations especially if he's working the day shift making daytime tips, but that is just unacceptable behavior. So my friend and I went to Slainté instead! Great place. I go there pretty frequently, and am now reminded not to bother trying anything new.

I couldn't have been more disappointed in this place. I was looking for a place to eat and catch up on some work. I saw this place had free Wi-Fi so I stopped in. I sat down at a table with stools and unpacked my computer. At that time, there were a handful of people around and a female bartender. I try to connect to the Wi-Fi only to find out it's password protected. I decided to wait to ask until the bartender asked if I wanted something. Forty-five minutes passed...she never came or tried to ask if I needed something. Luckily, I was able to do some work on my phone. The place never got busier than maybe 7-10 people and the bartender never left from behind the bar. She was more interested in talking to her regulars and complaining about how awful her life was. I ultimately left after overhearing another patron ask if they served food and she said no. How do you let someone sit down for 45 minutes without asking if he/she needs anything? The only thing that was deserving of any stars was the cleanliness but I will never stop by this place again. I went next door.

A solid enough cheap bar in an area that's getting increasingly pricey. The beer selection is solid and the bar is much larger it looks than when you first walk in so you could def bring a larger group in here.

Decent bar. The two female bar tenders were nice enough and made sure I was always taken care of. The drinks were made efficiently and I didn't need to wait too long for any of my drinks. I think I might come back here sometime.
