The Best Mexico City Coffee Shops For Getting Work Done - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"Blend Station has four different locations in Mexico City, but we like the one on Avenida Tamaulipas in Condesa best—it’s huge, and essentially a giant coworking space with better food. It gets busy, but you’ll almost always be able to find a spot to plug in, especially if you’re there solo. The quinoa protein bowl will help you power through that half hour Zoom call, but if it’s a marathon meeting kind of day, add a nitrogen cold brew." - guillaume guevara

We had a delicious brunch here and really enjoyed both the flavors and presentation. The avocado toast was super fresh, generously topped with creamy avocado and perfectly poached eggs — plus the crunchy chips on the side were a nice touch! The second dish was a real showstopper — loaded with savory bacon, rich toppings, and beautifully poached eggs, all served on hearty sourdough. The combination of sweet, smoky, and spicy flavors worked great, especially with the sauces drizzled around the edges. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5: the toast was a bit too thick and tough to cut through easily, even with the steak knife, and the pork belly could've been a bit more unique or house-made. Still, great experience and would definitely come back!

Google
Delicious coffee filtered in multiple ways. I tasted the V60, two cups of 8 and 6oz. Staff is very kind and food is nice. Also they have a terrace with two tables to enjoy the day outside.

Google
You order first and then you sit down Their coffee is not as good as others but not as bad as some. We ordered the chilaquiles with egg some without, campesino toast, huevos divorciados and pancakes with everything to the side. The chilaquiles were super dry and when we ordered more sauce and cheese the waitress said she couldn't because it wasn't the next order so we went to the cashier and talk to the manager and he quickly figured it out. They brought us glasses of water which was good. The only thing we liked in the end where the pancakes the rest was too filled with bacon. If I return i will order something else

They know what they are doing! I found it on the map close to me so I came early. It wasn’t busy but had a few ppl. Super chill & relaxed vibe (but still energetic), nice service, good food (the portion is way too much for me lol but I don’t complain) and good coffee. Just what I needed after a long day of travel. Definitely recommend.

Great place to work 🙂‍↔️🤌🏻 coffee is good but not the best. Staff is very friendly and helpful ❤️‍🔥

Delicious coffee, fast AF wifi, and conducive work environment. Highly recommend black cardamom vanilla latte

Google
One of the best places to work and drink coffee in Condesa area. The atmosphere is great although the service is a little slow for the size of the place and the amount personal. Specialty beans are varied and the roasting is really nice. Have been here a couple of times and most pour overs are well executed.

Google
The biggest mugs of good coffee you can get. Great Espresso Americano, great Flat White and very good pastries too. Plenty of power outlets and solid wifi.

Yelp
Want to find a hip gentrified coffee shop to do your fully remote tech job to while being surrounded by HP toting startup bros while listening to beach house? This is the place. Great internet, excellent food and drinks, can order fully in English. If you are looking to not engage with local culture and stay in your comfort bubble (sometimes nice let's be honest) this is the place. Clean friendly tasty.

Yelp
Blend Station was awesome for breakfast! It wasn't super busy when we stopped in. Their food menu was displayed on the wall, with photos of each item, which was super helpful. I got an Iced Vanilla Latte and the Classic Chicken Sandwich, and my boyfriend chose a hot coffee and one of their many variations of Avocado Toast. The space was cute and inviting, with a large tree right in the middle of the dining area. The vibe was tranquil, and I loved their custom cups/mugs with little eyeballs on them. Service wasn't the quickest, which was fine since we weren't in a rush. Both our coffee drinks were tasty, and the food was delicious. Portion sizes were very generous! The avocado in my Chicken Sandwich tasted fresh, and all the ingredients went together well. Would return to try their French Toast, which looked out of this world!

Yelp
The food was delicious!! I got the green omelette and my boyfriend and I split the avocado toast. So yummy. It was a bit cold and I wasn't impressed by the interior, but the food was DEFINITELY worth it. I also got an espresso with coconut milk and didn't love it. I think they use powdered coconut milk.

Yelp
After finding out that the best coffee shop in Condessa had closed and moved to a location in North Roma that didn't have as an ideal place to sit with a laptop, I began researching for all the digital nomad recommended coffee shops in Mexico City. I had found this one to be the most recommended. It's okay for breakfast and general food here, or at least my husband enjoyed his acai bowl and I was pleased with my Turkish eggs mix. We were honestly disappointed with the coffee for both the flavor and temperature. My husband drip "coffee Americano" was only just a tad above lukewarm even after we requested if it could be heated up. Asides this, the service was good, and they have plenty of staff. The space is great, not as big as the pictures might have you believe, but still has enough places to sit. The only problem that I noticed with where you may sit to plug in were the outlets have some wear and tear and when I plugged in my adapter it wouldn't stay. I wouldn't recommend here during the cooler winter months since there isn't central heating, and fresh cool air from outside travels in, as in most places in Mexico. I'm sure this place is ideal during the summer months.

Yelp
This place was on my list for coffee spots to try in CDMX. One of the only places on my list that had a flavored latte so I was excited (I'm not a serious coffee drinker so I only drink lattes). Black vanilla cardamom latte (85 mxn) - super smooth with a hint of sweetness. The vanilla and cardamom flavors definitely came through. One of my favorite lattes I've had here.

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of Condesa, Blend Station emerges as a charming oasis for coffee lovers, remote workers, and those seeking a moment of tranquility in the bustling city. This café seamlessly blends the trendy vibe of its gentrified surroundings with a commitment to locally-sourced coffee, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between the energy of a busy café and the serenity needed for concentration, attracting a diverse crowd of students, professionals, and coffee enthusiasts alike. While situated in a gentrified area, Blend Station maintains a local charm that sets it apart from generic chain cafés. Service: 4.5/5 The staff at Blend Station exemplify hospitality. The team's attentiveness and willingness to assist contribute significantly to the overall positive experience, ensuring that language barriers don't hinder anyone's enjoyment of their visit. Yelp
Awesome ambiance and super friendly servers. We came back twice because we enjoyed the coffee and they have wonderful breakfast. The portions are rather big and our favourite was the avocado toast! Many people working on their laptops here, but the vibes were good. Honestly a much needed break from tacos!
google avatar

Yelp
An aesthetic brunch place with a tree in the middle of the cafe. I enjoyed the avocado toast and iced mocha. The iced mocha was very sweet for my taste. Service was great!

Yelp
Awesome coffee, great space (lots of room and natural light inside, a few tables out). One of the favorite coffee stops in CDMX but this city is full of amazing coffee

Yelp
Great coffee and good tea. The chocolate croissant was delicious. This is a good place to get work done, and the internet connection is fast.

Yelp
The Frenchy Toast is to die for. I normal soak my french toast/pancakes in syrup, but didn't need to for this. The sweet butter it comes with is delicious--same with the cream. Must-try. Any Blend Station location is a great place to work remotely. They have very easy wifi, electric outlets indoors, and plenty of work room if you don't mind basic coffee shop chit chat around you. Service is great but will also leave you alone when they see you working. Definitely recommend this location and the Roma Norte location (that one is a little bigger, I think, and a little more aesthetic).
google avatar

Ann A.

Yelp
Tried the guanábana smoothie -- it was fresh and had the perfect level of sweetness. The only reason I give a 4/5 is because it definitely needed a little more of the guanábana taste. The service was 5/5 -- everyone is very nice and approachable. The location seems to be a great spot to touch up with friends or get some work done.

Yelp
Loved this spot! Great spot for grabbing a quick drink/bite and also for working. Lots of open space and seating with WiFi/outlets. The pinky chai is okay. Wasn't my favorite but they have a lot of options so would have to try the other drinks. I forgot what I ordered to eat but if you ask for the vegetarian options, they have MANY dishes which was a great treat. And my dish was amazing, truly one of my favorite meals of my trip to my surprise. Definitely recommend coming here for a breakfast or a stop over.

Yelp
Great coffee, part of the service not so hot. Most of the staff seemed nice. If it was just for coffee I would totally come here for coffee again and again and again plus I would recommend it to my friends. However, the Red Hat Barista thought that flipping me his middle finger was a nice and fun thing to do, just for taking a picture of the cold brewing contraption and the coffee bar to post on social networks. Now I would never go back or recommend the place to anyone. And Since, he thought that flipping the middle finger to the customers is a good practice. Here is the picture.

Yelp
In search of Avacado toast, I found it after 1pm, which can sometimes be tricky in CDMX. It wasn't too busy in the afternoon and they easily detected our broken Spanish and talked to us in English--which is always comforting and makes one feeling less of a dork. But you should learn Spanish anyway. Yes you. Hubby found a wonderful chicken, veggie quinoa bowl.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is great if you want a strong cup of coffee. I got the flat white and it sure packed a punch! I loved it. Great place with cute branding too. They have tea drinks if you aren't a coffee lover like me. There are various locations throughout the Roma and La Condessa districts so that even if you weren't looking for it, you will probably walk by one just walking around the beautiful neighborhoods.

Yelp
3.5 stars. I came here with a few friends (and joined the other ex-pats) to get work done at Blend Station. A bunch of people were already strewn across the outdoor patio, staring at their laptop screens in the glaring sun. At some point I closed mine because the sun was heating up my devices, and all the spaces indoors and in the shade were taken at the time. It was my friends who ordered coffee so I can't speak to that experience, but I'm obsessed with the cute to-go cups that day, featuring an alien. For some reason that was the most memorable part. Also from what I see in photos, I wish I was hungry enough for their pastries! City WiFi was unreliable at times, so I'd encourage you to come here and just relax. Have a conversation.

Yelp
We got the avocado toast and eggs benedict and they were both good and set us up for a full day of museum visits. Cappuccino was great too. They also have wifi and we somewhat caught up on the football world cup while we enjoyed our meal. Pretty hip interior with high ceilings and lots of seating. Staff checked in on us often.
google avatar

Surupa B.

Yelp
We went for breakfast on Friday morning. Loved the outside seating. I like caramel flavoured lattes but they didn't have. Only vanilla. Also everywhere in Mexico I'm seeing not much use of fat free milk. So I had to opt for almond milk. Cappuccino with almond milk was okay. Espresso shot was very good. Avocado toast was very good. Egg Benedict wasn't good. That's why taking out one star. It was very bland and too much meat. The English muffins were too big too. Hollandaise sauce wasn't that tasty.
google avatar

Yelp
I love walking around the city and find places to rest and have a recharge. Blend Station got a good relaxing vibe and delicious menu. I am not ready for a meal yet so a delicious latte will do for now. I sure will return to you if I find myself around your area. Gracias.

Yelp
The Blend Station is the perfect place to grab a coffee and some breakfast/brunch at! We ordered a classic Americano, which was standard and a latte, which was delicious and creamy. For food, we tried the chicken and veggies bowl as well as the blend salad with chicken. The freshness of all the ingredients really surprised us and the chicken was juicy and seasoned! Great quality food in a great atmosphere that's perfect for groups. The service was also friendly and quick.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were staying in the Condesa neighborhood during our recent trip to CDMX, and he found this place online and liked it so much on his first visit that we came back almost every morning for the rest of the trip. We were surprised to find such a legit coffee place with such a wide variety of beans and brewing methods (some of which I'd never even heard of before). My cappucino and matcha latte were just okay, and lacking in latte art presumably because it's hard to make art with almond milk, but my boyfriend's coffees were all delicious. He got a V60 with a bean roasted in a barrel of whiskey which was unique, velvety smooth, and scrumptious. The food is all fresh and delicious. The toasts are a great value. I've had better acai bowls elsewhere though (theirs was a bit tasteless in comparison to places like Ojo de Agua). My boyfriend went a little overboard and purchased a few of their handmade coffee mugs and several bags of coffee. The interiors are modern and comfortable - maybe a bit too much so, so that people love to camp out here all day and work on their laptops. The baristas are also super friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share their love and knowledge of coffee. They aren't fluent in English but speak it well enough for all intents and purposes. On our last day one of the baristas even gifted us a couple stickers!

Yelp
Blend is a charming and very popular coffee shop in the city. There's a spacious indoor and outdoor seating area where people can sip on coffee or work with the Wi-Fi. I got a latte that was alright and overweighted on milk for me.

Betty M.

Yelp
Wanted to try a different coffee shop. Came across Blend Station was greeted by a young man with blonde hair. He has exceptional customer service, to which he explained the different drinks. I ordered 4 shots of espresso over ice with some oat milk. The Frappe's are good too. The coffee was so delicious very smooth.

Yelp
COFFEE ! ***** Delightful & Favorable Coffee ! Had both Coffee and Tea and both wonderful. Too the Pastries were delicious and tasty. The Staff were helpful and extra friendly. All of the space was extra clean, fun vibe, and easy to use for work and conversation.
google avatar

Michael E.

Yelp
I got a quick pastry for breakfast one day - a small orange cake. It was pretty good. They have comfortable space for doing some work or meeting folks.
google avatar

Matt L.

Yelp
love this place. Great coffee, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The flat white is a drink that's actually hard to get done properly. The temperature and milk froth are often the parts that go wrong. This place has it dialed in! Temperature was on point and the milk was frothed to perfectly velvety texture. The flavor of the beans also made for a really nice, complex, slightly fruity flavor. Highly recommend
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place. Good internet, enough work station, extension cords for outside tables, and of course great coffee. One of my favorite places to have my daily cappuccino:) i have also been pleasantly surprised by the quality of food there. Have tried the chicken bowl, chicken waffles, and a few pastries.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a bit of a strange concept... It looks great in the photos... But it is popular which means that their requirement that you order your food before you sit down means that you might order your food and not have a place to sit. Not only that but the service staff could be more helpful and welcoming to this unusual concept. Thankfully there's tons of other similar places right on the same block so it wasn't too difficult to find an option that was more normal.
google avatar

Zoila G.

Yelp
Beautiful shop and very friendly staff! It was pretty packed when I dropped in with folks working on their macs. It's very chill if you're needing to step away to study or get work done. I had their cold brew and it was DIVINE! It may have been my favorite during my Mexico City stay. The shop is beautiful as well!
google avatar

Alejandra V.

Yelp
I was in absolute hipster heaven from the moment I stepped foot into this amazing coffee shop. I wish I could say I was exaggerating, but my little Seattle heart was so happy, words cannot describe. ... but I'll try ;-) The coffee here was delicious! I opted for a soy mocha and one of their delicious berry croissants. I was bummed that I'd had brunch just before coming here, because their food items looked absolutely delicious, and I was tempted every time the baristas came out with beautiful dishes of food! I think the absolute win for me here was the ambiance and setup of the coffee shop. As others have mentioned, it doesn't seem like this coffee shop is very big, but then you walk further in the building and see that there's an awesome tree in the middle of the cafe and great natural lighting that makes for a really productive workspace! It wasn't too quiet, there were folks chatting over meals/drinks, folks working hard, and some just hanging out. The service here was also very attentive and friendly! Overall, if you're looking for a neat place to get some work done with great coffee and food while in CDMX, I definitely recommend Blend Station. I feel like I could've spent hours in here!
google avatar

Tim B.

Yelp
It's comforting to know that the caffeine kingdom is alive and well and living in Condesa. The coffee and espresso here rival any in the world, from Roma (not this Roma, that Roma) to Seattle, the baristas at Blend Station can hold their own. Whether it's the gauge of the grind, the water temp, the extraction time or all three you must have perfect in your head, the self-proclaimed coffee geeks behind the counter have you covered. The ambience is hipper than an Apple Store with Condesa's coolest professionals all tapping away on their laptops while sipping cappuccinos after 11am (does anybody follow that rule anymore?). The pour-overs pack a punch and are offered in a variety of in-house blends no matter your preferred palate. But be advised, their cold brew will kick you in the face like a bag of coca leaves.
google avatar

Jesse And Christy S.

Yelp
Really delicious coffee (and food!!) with an amazing interior space. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it opens up into this incredible space with natural light! There are many English speaking staff which can be helpful too. My only gripe is that it's freelancer central. If you don't come before 9, forget getting a seat as its already filled with laptops. However, it's always a good option para llevar.

Ezra B.

Yelp
I want to leave a fair review here. The food and coffee are very good, but we had a very bad service experience. The cashier misheard our order and brought us a completely different dish than what we had ordered. When we politely informed them this was not the food we had ordered they insisted that it was and that they would not correct the order. We told them we would gladly pay extra if there was a difference in price between what we originally ordered and what they had brought us, but they again refused. It was clearly the case that the cashier misheard us, which is an understandable mistake and not a big deal. But the fact that they refused to correct the order and forced us to pay for the food we didn't order was very off putting.

Natalia R.

Yelp
Great food, coffee and ambience. Many expats but also some locals. Great neighborhood spot in Condesa.

Christina F.

Yelp
This place is a great spot to work and also just grab breakfast or lunch. Very fresh and delicious food. Lots of choices as far as coffee, tea, and everything else goes. I've started my day here almost everyday for the last week. Veggie toast is dynamite. Their breads overall are just amazingly delicious. Holds up well even when stacked with avocado and veggies on top. Doesn't flop and become mushy. The coffee is great, they have options for coconut, almond, and soy milk instead of traditional dairy. Love that. Overall just the esthetic of this place and the crowd that it draws is attractive to it all. You order at the counter and they give you a number sign and you just sit wherever you want. Variety of seating and ample outlet space. Highly recommend this place for getting some work done and grabbing a bite or just for a coffee chat with a friend. I'll be here often for sure.
google avatar

Itzel M.

Yelp
I hardly ever review anyone. The place itself is cute. The vegetable salad I ordered was swimming in oil. The service is so unbelievably underwhelming and just non interested in selling anything. The tables were reasonably empty and the crew behind the counter managed to get our food order 80% wrong. We also ordered a beer and after waiting for half an hour, my partner asked if the beer was ready and they did not even remember we had ordered and had paid for it. They handed him a beer can after the long wait! The prices don't match the quality or service or the hype. If you just need internet to work, it works. But, just order a pastry and coffee. On top of it, we were robbed while sitting outside:(. Overall, just not a good experience
google avatar

Lissette C.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops in Mexico City. During my trip here, I came almost every day. The menu had something for everyone, and it's all pretty delicious. I mostly enjoyed their matcha as it felt authentic and paired well with the almond milk they used. The environment here is also spectacular. You can bring a friend to chat, or a laptop to work off of. I love the art and creative seating spaces they gave (personal preference to the bleacher area).
google avatar

Ivette G.

Yelp
When coming here I got the latte with almond milk and a pumpkin flaky pastry. The pastry was okay, it wasn't great a little too sweet for me. It was like a sugar bomb in my mouth if I would've gotten a black coffee I would've been okay. The latte took a while to get to us ..... some miscommunication but I cannot daily them bc the barrista was so nice about it. I wish I would've gotten his name. And it tasted great ! Defiantly one of the best coffees I've had in the city any of the past couple of years I have visited. This is true coffee not just milk with a little coffee.
google avatar

Cedrric T.

Yelp
Great coffee house in condesa. Eggs Benedict was great. The cold brew was amazing. Great WiFi signal and comfortable environment. Kind staff and super hip place! I will definitely be back every time I am in town.
google avatar

Natisha C.

Yelp
Blend Station was great. Obviously with the name of the business, it implies that some employees speak English, which has made things easier for a person like myself. It was definitely refreshing to grab a traditional American (New) breakfast. I was really craving some eggs and this was the place. The cool thing about Mexico or anywhere that isn't the US is that you can get organic eggs at a reasonable price. So golden, so delicious. So good I had to go back twice. The first time I got the Eggs Benedict with the Pork Belly, it was good but not quite what I expected. I felt like a dumb American. 85 grams of pork belly really isn't a ton. However the hollandaise was plentiful and perfect and the eggs were cooked perfectly. It just wasn't very filling. As I ate the bar, I saw other plates being served from the kitchen. I knew I'd made a mistake and had to right my wrong the following day. So, the next day I returned and got the Tosta de Salmon and added two huevos pochados. Wise, wise choice. The bread that's available with the toast is homemade and hearty. The salmon was super delicious and the sweet avocado spread was most definitely a nice touch. I really appreciated that the poached eggs were again amazing. I literally thought, I wonder how the eggs are perfectly poached each time? This is the kind of consistency that's unheard of in the States. Sigh.
google avatar

Edward G.

Yelp
The coffee is great. The staff warm, attentive, hardworking, and happy to help non-Spanish speakers. I also loved the food : Try The Sonny if you like pork belly. It is the atmosphere and design, however, that makes the place special. A long high- top table -- with a tree growing straight through it, solid bleacher seating with monographed pillows for lounging, a ceiling that is three storeys high. This is Condesa's own caffeine cenote: tranquil, inviting, and most memorable.

E S.

Yelp
Great spot. Wonderful coffee, good vibes, could be the best spot in condesa Outdoor seating is nice and clean, friendly, great price
google avatar

Emmy C.

Yelp
This is my new go-to place! There are outlets and the WiFi is fast and the art on the walls is absolutely gorgeous and so unique. Even the high ceilings and greenery everywhere help contribute to the atmosphere. The music they play is great too, chill hits and some popular American songs. Too many nice things to say.. PS strawberry mango smoothie was so delicious!
google avatar

Stewart L.

Yelp
As my search for fine coffees in CDMX continues this morning I had one of the finest Cappuccinos to date! Oaxacan beans drawn at the counter blended with steamed milk produced a delicious well balanced treat. Strong, slightly bitter offset with a natural sweetness from the bean differentiated itself from my other favorite at Chiquittito- drawn from Veracruz beans. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Elliott S.

Yelp
I love the coffee, I love the food, the concepto and even their merchandising (I own a couple notebooks from them), but when it comes to seat-in, the place is usually overcrowded, even during these lockdowns, and if you're planning to work there on your computer o read a book you should seriously consider bringing your earphones.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
A perfect coffee spot in CDMX! Highly recommended to enjoy fresh coffee with great vibes in a wonderful neighborhood. From Queen B to Stevie to Sara Bareilles to Cyndi Lauper--the soundtrack here is outstanding and makes for a great stop in your visit to CDMX. Don't miss the americano of the day!

Yelp
Best coffee in town. The space is incredible and they also have very nice seats. They have a huge variety of coffee and also some tea. Its a comfy space for working and also has nice snacks. Their pastries are also a great option.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop in the town, so many options for the coffee lovers, amazing place and vibes
