After reading the reviews on Bleuwiches, I drove 20 minutes to try it. I ordered the Banh Mi and Chicken Katsu.
Bang Mi - the bread and the meat are fantastic, and the aioli or, better yet, the sauce complements the meat well, although it tastes industrialized (a combination of different off-the-shelf sauces). This sandwich can be a five-star sandwich if they add pickle veggies (carrot, cucumber, and daikon) and use fresh jalapenos instead of pickle. It lacked the freshness of a traditional Bahn Mi.
Chicken Katsu was delicious, and the coleslaw was tasty. Hold on to the sauce a bit and offer the option to get more on the side. Brioche bread is ok, just commercial off the shelf since it gets soggy after a few minutes.
We will try it again in the future (in a few months).
The seating area is gorgeous, with a bar, coffee shop, donuts, etc. It is set up like a beer garden!
You will enjoy it, guarantee!
