"As the fun and funky seafood spot of choice among locals (and their dogs come summer), Blind Dog offers a full raw bar and sushi fix at once. The main menu is divvied up into punny categories (Bait, Bad Ass Bakes, Weed Line, Trolling, and Sittin’ On The Dock), each filled with inventive fish-focused fusion. You can also take advantage of the daily happy hour menu at 5:00 p.m. (on food only, not drinks, because Utah)." - Katie Shapiro

Informal dining. Bar area was popular. $200 for 2 people with a $50 bottle of wine. Seems to be the going cost in Parkcity Fried green tomato salad was excellent. Large portions. Interesting menu.

I'm a certified Sommolier level 2 and Weset 3 diploma holder and love going to local places when I travel and I'm no stranger to park city and it's nice offerings! The decor and vibe of the place is very comfortable and while the staff might not be super educated in their food/drinks list they are good with food/drink recommendations and give you a warm smile with fast service. Started with Champagne for the table and they don't have the best glass wear for the wines they carry but that doesn't matter too much...she opened that cork silently and provided me with an ice bucket so I was pleased. Service is fast and the food is fantastic with solid presentations, was also nice we were easily seated as a larger party. The sourdough bread for the table is so soft and very tasty. The Snakeriver Filet is absolutely delicious so much flavor and was perfectly medium rare (melts in your mouth), I also asked for the green beans which were excellent. The Dreamloaf is also very good but wow that Cream spinach is maybe the best I've ever had! The crispy pork belly dumplings are tasty with a fitting sauce. I think one of the most surprising things was the freshness of the sushi, the menu has so much variety but it was actually all good having ordered quite a few different things. Also they use real wasabi not horseradish and the sauces were pleasing to all the options we had on the table. Dessert list is better than almost every other average restaurant with lots of solid coffee and dessert wine options! My god the frozen lemon pie is so good, the lychee sorbet is divine and the Coffee ice cream with the brownie is just a perfect paring. Overall, this is a great place lots of variety with great options, good wines, and friendly service that is quick. Only thing that I didn't like was the cocktails that did get ordered specifically the espresso martini was not good, the old fashioned was fine just not great.

Love this place! Our server, Christine from Romania was highly knowledgeable about the diverse menu and she was just delightful. Since we are fortunate to have excellent sushi back east, we did not know what to expect. Our two rolls were large and delicious and so were the cauliflower dish and pork dumplings. My husband had the banana foster and he enjoyed it. I finished my meal with the cucumber salad. We liked this place so much that we were quick to make another reservation during our stay in Park City.

Google
Solid happy hour menu, great and attentive service, and a cool chill vibe is the best way to sum up this restaurant. Lots of fusion style sushi, sashimi, and a robust drink menu round out this restaurant. It shares a parking lot that gets fairly busy. Seems like a cool hangout for lots for a good night with friends and family.

Blind Dog is our favorite restaurant in Park City. Fantastic food, cocktails, staff, ambience, everything! It’s a local place and great for everyone. Gabbie at the bar is the best bartender and makes the visit the best you could wish for! Be sure to ask for her or say hello when you stop by!

Google
We have ate here several times and love it! The specials have been really great and all of the sushi is really great as well. We usually get the funky roll and lollipop roll and they always hit the spot! Their bakes are really amazing as is the sourdough bread. The ambiance is really nice and it isn't overly loud. Highly recommend the blind dog as a great place for dinning in small groups, large groups or by yourself. Still one of the best sushi places in Park City! Great environment, great staff and great food!

Delicious food and drinks. Def recommend the tuna nachos and crab cakes.

Google
Let me start by saying I am a longtime fan of this unique restaurant -singular and original with diverse selections. Very glad and fortunate that they exist as a "go to " place for locals in particular. It is time for a re-examination of Penny's Dreamloaf. When I first tried this over ten years ago, it delivered a satisfying "git in my belly" guilty pleasure. That said, I was embarrassed to have recommended it to a dining companion. What we were served was mediocre at best, hardly hot and frankly boring with little taste. The creamed spinach side is just too tired to be with its creamy goo format-the mashed potatoes remain stalwart and the best of the trio. They have such a large and fun worthy menu notwithstanding. Penny's Dreamloaf needs serious re-imagining-Make the Dreamloaf Great Again! They also have one of my favorite Happy Hours -fun choices at reasonable prices.

Yelp
Food was 10/10 Service was 10/10 I did not expect the experience to be so good. Laid back but high end restaurant. Huge inside.

Ashlyn K.

Yelp
Great cocktails! I recommend their espresso martini! More upscale for the park city which we really liked!

Lis F.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! Excellent location and ample parking. Food was cooked expertly.

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
Such a great place a little bit off the beaten path in park city! The brownie is to die for, and the bartender Gabbie is so sweet and made our night.

Len S.

Yelp
Taking the management team out for dinner has to be a nice place with good food. Called the blind dog and told them I needed a table for 11. No problem got us right in. Service was excellent, wine choices with great prices. Ordered a dozen appetizers including sushi. Every app was enjoyed. Dinners were all excellent, not one complaint from anyone. Steaks cook perfectly, chicken moist and crispy. Excellent meat loft. We're in a resort town and expected high prices. Surprised with the value for the quality. Definitely a place to stop in park city

Anika P.

Yelp
The Blind Dog Restaurant is absolutely delicious. I would go here every single night for dinner if I could. Where do I start? Well, let's talk about the food. Their menu is huge and has so many different options. I would consider this restaurant a "Jack of all trades" except every single thing they make is beautiful and flavorful. These guys don't miss! From their appetizers, to their sushi, to their entrees, so many incredible options. If you are looking for a restaurant that could please a group of people with different tastes, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! The ambiance is lovely. Those lightly chilled Park City summer nights eating outside on the deck? What more could you ask for. The deck is so fun and many of the restaurant visitors will bring their dog too! I love the PC vibe of this restaurant. Staff and service is fantastic. They were attentive to our needs and brought the food out real quick. I really really love this restaurant!

David B.

Yelp
Not sure why Blind Dog is not rated higher. It's festive and the food is quite good. Had the delicious Wagyu burger and fries (lower the price and fewer fries would be ok with me). Mrs B had the Yardbird Chicken w mashed potatoes - said was very good but a little bland - she asked for more capers and she said that did the trick. Cucumber roll was a little dry, but the spicy edamame were good. Good local beer selection - all cans/no draft.

Stephen B.

Yelp
It's pretty good. A bit pricey and their menu is starting to look like a California upscale sushi restaurant rather than seafood, some sushi and good old steaks.

Nick P.

Yelp
Revisiting old reviews and realize I forgot to update this. Our whole party of 12+ got food poisoning so bad people missed their flights and had to book places to stay for more time because they were still vomiting, etc. I actually still think back on this experience 5+ years later as truly the worst restaurant experience I ever have or will have. It's funny now, but that food poisoning was no joke and near hospital bad. (People couldn't even keep water down for multiple days.)

Chelsea C.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here on our first night in Park City. The food was delicious. We got some sushi, the jolly rancher and the rigger roll, both were delicious. We also got the Japanese cucumber salad which I loved. Crab cakes were all lump crab meat, little filler. Very tasty. The service was great as well and restaurant was very cozy inside. We took the banana fosters bread pudding with ice cream to go to enjoy back in front of our fireplace and it was incredible!

Chelsea C.

Yelp
The burger and drinks were awesome. The sushi was good but definitely tuna tar tar played a heavy role in most of the menu. The menu was almost had too many options it was hard to know what to pick. Definitely ask for menu recommendations since it's kind of confusing and very easy to end up with a dish you're not into. The service was solid once the server realized they'd get a good tip based on how much we ordered. The ambiance is great and you can either dress up or dress down and you'd fit in either way!

Victor C.

Yelp
Blind Dog was a really good restaurant experience. My meal started with 2 apps the cheesesteaks egg rolls and the tuna nachos both were really good. The tuna nachos were a bit more flavorful with a little spicy kick which was super good. Then for my main dish I had the salmon with mashed potatoes which was really tasty and yummy, see pictures. Steven was our server for our party of 8 he did a great job. I loved the theme with dog pictures and art everywhere. Even my to go bag had paws on it . If I could I would give 4.5 stars instead of just 4.

Jake B.

Yelp
Good atmosphere good service Cocktails were slightly above average. Not spectacular Sake was great Sushi was great Edamame, bread, oysters and tuna belly were great Overall great experience. No complaints

Yelp
Tempura Cauliflower 6-7. We won't order it again. -hamachi crudo-5 -mad dog margarita 9

Yelp
Went there just for some drinks and dessert with some girlfriends. Staff was very friendly, we were seated quickly on a Friday evening and service was very quick. They recommended the best desserts and we were blown away!

Chris C.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant with my wife and two children (4yo and 2yo) on a Friday afternoon in late August for Happy Hour (5-6pm)...which I'm pretty sure they have every day. We arrived about 10 minutes before they opened (5pm). While we waited, we took a look at the patio and the kids decided they wanted to eat inside. We were seated quickly and the staff was all very friendly, including our waiter, Chris. The outdoor patio was pretty relaxed, but inside seemed like a much classier environment. The first round we ordered the edamame with sea salt. The portion was very generous and they were properly cooked. The shishito peppers were good, but needed a bit more char and maybe a little more salt. The yuzu aioli was delicious...we actually ate it on about everything. Very generous portion mixed with maybe 20% red peppers. The cheesesteak egg rolls were very good...crispy and cheesy and not overcooked. It was served with spicy ketchup (which was probably ketchup with their house made sriracha). I liked them dipped in the aioli, but the 4yo loved the ketchup. Then there were the firecracker rolls...spicy tuna and jalapeño...these were amazing. The whole roll was coated in tempura crispies and it was served with their house made sriracha. We ordered three of these...I loved it with wasabi and soy (like any sushi lover does). These sushi rolls were average sized or larger...no complaints on size. Kids were still hungry so we ordered the pork dumplings. These were hot, crispy, and juicy and there were 7 of them. Dipped in the soy rayu sauce...they were really good. The 2 yo literally drank the dipping sauce. So...edamame, shishito peppers, cheesesteak egg rolls, 3 firecracker rolls, and pork dumpling and a generous tip (we drank water) was just shy of $76.

Hazel V.

Yelp
Excellent! The chicken was juicy and tender on the inside. The tempura batter was light and fluffy and the oysters and sushi very fresh.

Wendy O.

Yelp
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Went there from 5-6- their website says oysters half price. At 2$ that's even steep. But no. Waited all day. Made a reservation. They don't do half price oysters since Covid. God bless that effing excuse! 24$ for 6 oysters! Stop buying their oysters! If they lose oysters they'll start lowering the price. We hold the power. So disappointed. I can go to Missouri by the way; a more land locked state- and get oysters for 1$. Brandon here I come.

Dawn K.

Yelp
Hmm, where to start? Some good, some not so good. I will say, don't come here for the sushi, it's decent, but definitely better sushi in PC then this. We started with sourdough, brussels, edamame, and tempura shrimp and veggies. The sourdough is awesome, salty, chewy outside, soft inside. The Brussels are definitely not worth the money, the smallest portion, and not very good, I was disappointed because Brussels sprouts are my fav. The edamame (we order two, regular and spicy) never came! We had to remind our waiter at the end of the meal that we didn't get them! The tempura was good. For meals we ordered a variety of rolls and the burger. Honestly non of the rolls are noteworthy, good thing we got the burger because it's delicious. We ended with the bread pudding which was amazing. Get it!

Susan M.

Yelp
We came here for Happy Hour from 5-6 and loved it. Our server, Boza, took good care of us and we loved the food. We got the firecracker roll and the tater tots which were both great. The tater tots were super light on the inside and crispy outside- delicious. We also had the spicy edamame which I probably won't get again because it was just plain edamame with a half teaspoon of Siracha flavored salt on top and you couldn't get it to coat all the edamame. I'd ask for the salt on the side next time so I could dip each piece. Other than that we really enjoyed it.

Jane B.

Yelp
Our experience was five stars! Thanks to our waiter Bryan for making sure that happened. We called in advance for a bottle of champagne to be on the table as this was out last night in Park City. The staff was super accommodating in making this happen. The food was excellent from start to finish. We started with the fondue and then the Thai shrimp dish. The fondue was creamy and the bread loaf was exceptional. I really enjoyed the pickled veggies that joined this combo. As for the Thai shrimp no doubt they use fresh Thai chilis with a big kick! Yum! For dinner I split the NY strip with my friend. The steak was perfectly medium rare. The best part was the a surprise - the potatoes and asparagus were surprisingly creamy and delicious! I didn't expect such a good meal. To finish off our meal we had the frozen Meyer lemon pie! What a treat!

Ashley B.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and was delicious!! They are located next to a couple bars so you can also visit other places while in the area. Inside was decorated so cute. We ordered the potstickers and cheese dip to start. This place is great because they serve sushi and Asian foods but also a variety of other foods. Anyone could find something to order here! We got a couple rolls as our mains. They even had dog treats and souvenirs you could buy for your dog which was so cute!

Emily C.

Yelp
Daughter is mac n cheese obsessed and on a mission to find the best cheesy noodles in the state! Blind Dog had rave reviews for their mac, and we wanted to something a little more elevated to celebrate daughter's end of school year, so we decided to adventure up to PC to give Blind Dog's mac a try. It did not disappoint. Definitely not run of the mill boxed macaroni and cheese - the flavor and texture was decadent and expensive, but also comforting and addicting. ... seriously, give me a vat and a spoon. The drink menu was huge, and too much TBH. Since it's summer and we were celebrating, I tried a fab fizzy strawberry cocktail concoction that had a bit of a mojito vibe. Loved it. The cool (and weird) thing about Blind Dog is their two kitchen, two menu operations. One option, higher end Park City eclectic dishes, other option, full sushi bar. It's a funky mix, and feels incongruent, but the sushi was admittedly great, and I've already sang high praises for the fancy mac. The two vibe ethos cascades to the interior design - moody gentleman's club bar vibes ... with colorful dog paintings ... and metal swordfish decor? It's a mish mash, and doesn't really work. Food here is great, but I feel like they need to pick a food genre and own it.

Vince Y.

Yelp
Avoid if you're gluten-free. We've tried this restaurant 3x, and my family member that is gluten-intolerant (not even Celiac) that ordered different gluten-free dishes each time has gotten sick every time. If you're not gluten-free, the food is great. Sadly, we can't go any longer.

Bert H.

Yelp
How on earth do you wreck a martini? Extra dry, extra cold, Chopin vodka. Let's see how the food is.

Jill L.

Yelp
Love happy hour at Blind Dog!!! Great sushi and other nibbles. Attentive service! Come early and enjoy!

Gabrielle K.

Yelp
Service was great but food was not good. Extensive wine selection, cauliflower bake was tasty. Hamachi crudo was good. Meatloaf, short rib and sushi were less than mediocre.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
It's a very nice place but we sat at the bar for happy hour. Hands down best happy hour food! I will definitely come back next time I come to Utah for skiing which is soon...

Dennis K.

Yelp
It's a Tuesday night at around 6:15pm and my wife & stopped in for dinner. We didn't have reservations but we were seated right away. Mike, our waiter, stopped by & explained the menu & we ordered two alcoholic drinks. Twenty minutes later and after taking orders from other later arriving diners and bringing them drinks, Mike comes back and asks us if we were ready to order our meal. Taken aback I asked about our 2 drinks and he said they were not even made yet. 20 minutes and they hadn't even made the drinks? What would the wait be for our meals? For the very first time in our lives (over 50) we got up and left a restaurant. We mentioned to the host we have never, ever been treated like this! No apology. Was it because we didn't have a reservation? Was it that bar was backed up on drink orders? Was it Mike being possibly new? It's generous giving them one star but you Yelpers cannot give zero stars.

Thomas V.

Yelp
We tried to book a table through OpenTable , there were no openings until after 8 pm. We went in person to see if we could get in. We were seated immediately and the food was very good, I had the filet and the wife had a burger.

Rob G.

Yelp
Food was good for two adults and two kids. Sushi and poke were very good. The chicken tempura fell flat though due to too much breading and being overcooked and dry. Great waiter.

Cat P.

Yelp
The service, drinks, and food always exceeds expectations. We love getting there before our reservation and grabbing a drink at the bar. The patio at sunset was beautiful. We must commend your staff tonight. We witnessed the table of privileged young folks next to us (large group) be loud and rude. The staff were patient and kind. We love The Blind Dog and look forward to our next visit.

Brittany C.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. Drink/Wine selection was extensive and delicious. We ordered Hamachi Kama and it was the largest portion we have ever eaten. Sushi rolls were large and generous. We can't wait to go back.

John D.

Yelp
I do not write Yelp reviews often, but was completely compelled to do so after an incredible experience at Blind Dog. Although the food was excellent here (try the tuna nachos and filet with au gratin) the real reason I'm writing is due to the excellent service. Our server Chris displayed patience and did not make us feel rushed. When my wife couldn't decide between two items, he helped with excellent explanation of both items and steered her to the correct choice. Cocktails, wine, and food were excellent but again the true star here was the service. oh yeah, and the banana foster bread pudding, incredible! great job Chef, and a special kudos to Chris, thanks for the great meal!!!

Dani G.

Yelp
Blind Dog has quickly become one of our favorites in the Park City region. Unbeatable selection of very fresh oysters will get you starter, the ribeye egg rolls will alone make you want to come back, fantastic sushi too. For me the Fisherman's Stew is the crowning glory, but I have seen other dishes, meat or fish, that were amazing. And if you plan to miss dessert, well don't! A simple pineapple upside down cake is taken to new heights! The dark chocolate brownie is not to be missed - forget what you have had before. This place is a highlight on this town!

Milly P.

Yelp
We are in town for skiing, but if I lived near this restaurant, it would definitely be a regular spot for me and my family. I was a little caught off guard when my husband made the reservations. A sushi place called Blind Dog that also serves sour dough and fries? What type of place is this? However, it works! My family and I enjoyed the food very much. My kids got two orders of the shrimp tempura. My husband especially liked the salmon bake and I loved the ahi tower. The ahi tower hit all the right notes for me - crunchy and soft, salty and sweet. Our server was also very thoughtful and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and my kids loved the fish decor and tank of salt water fish.

Mary Kaye A.

Yelp
Never disappoints here! Service is exceptional; our server Jeffrey greeted us promptly & brought water; he was easy to find & not pushy about ordering. So many choices here & sometimes we overdo the apps, wind up with a salad or sharing an entree so we can have dessert.Ahi nachos, potstickers & bad ass tofu are our faves plus the missing Cheesesteak egg rolls - please bring them back Chef Penn! Used to be able to order even off menu but not this time.only disappointment . Thai crunch Salad was so yummy , even next day as leftover & sushi & house salad great .Riggers coffee came out a bit cold but Jeffrey corrected that with a new hot one that was excellent. Fritters & banana bread pudding were devoured . Love this place.

Jackson C.

Yelp
Food was not great... I got the mac and cheese, the burger, and the tempura jumbo shrimp with vegetables. The only decent dish was the jumbo shrimp, which only included three shrimps. Our waiter was not great, she acted as if she was only interested in increasing our bill. When receiving our check, gratuity was already included which was not appreciated considering there were only four members at the table. Our server asked a multitude of times if we wanted to drinks after saying no, but would not refill our water. It is puzzling why a restaurant is serving sushi and also American food. No restaurant I have attended has evidently had good sushi while additionally offering classic American dishes. Therefore, you are only left with the American fatty food. Yuck.

Emily Y.

Yelp
Always a great experience! Have been going the last 10 years + and it's always on the list to go when in park city. Their menu is almost entirely gluten free and extremely delish! Looking forward to going back on our next trip!

Robin M.

Yelp
If you have a special diet for medical reasons and are fearful about eating out, this may be the place for you!! These folks get it! They have a special quadrant of their grill for us, to avoid cross-contamination. Between our lovely server (whose name I sadly did not catch) and Jeff, who came to talk to me about my diet, I had one of the best meals I've had at a restaurant in a really long time! My husband ordered 3 sushi rolls, which he said exceeded all expectations and left a pleasant shishito buzz in his mouth. I had several choices (something I'm not used to) because the ingredients at this place are so top notch. Thoroughly enjoyed the down to earth yet elevated atmosphere and excellent (professional) service! Wish we had reserved tomorrow here, too! Since I don't ski, this may be a reason to come back to Park City!

Katie M.

Yelp
This place was beyond our expectations! Food 5/5 Wow! We had the following: shishito peppers, spicy edamame and miso soup to start and they were all fantastic! The shishito peppers came with red peppers and they were so flavorful. We ordered the hamachi crudo and it was so tasty and I wish we ordered two! My favorite roll was the frida roll, and trust me you need to order this! We finished the night with the fritters for dessert and they were perfectly made. Drinks 4.5/5 The margaritas were delicious and well made. The old fashioned wasn't anything to write home about but wasn't bad by any means. Service 10/5 Sheila was incredible! So attentive, kind and helpful. She provided great service and was very personable. I would come back just because she was so wonderful, but the food and drinks are incredible so there are many reasons to come back. I highly recommend this place and it will not disappoint!!

Ellen C.

Yelp
Wondering if I'm giving the secret away? Happy hour rocks here! First time but been wanting to come since last year. Happy hour is from 5pm to 6pm and it's only in the bar area which has plenty of seats. Bar area has bar stools on one side and high top tables on the other side. This side is 21 and over only. Sushi bar side is bar on one side and high top tables on the other side. This side can accommodate families with kids. Arrive at 4:50pm. They open at 5pm and first come first serve. No take out for the happy hour menu. So what I learned is happy hour in Utah means no discounted drinks by law. So different from NYC. It only means discounted food which was plenty on their HH menu. I ordered the brussel sprouts (which I do everywhere), shishito peppers and the firecracker roll. Wish I came with the whole family but they refused so I enjoyed everything myself. Too bad I couldn't order more. The portions were huge. Especially the shishito. However, the sushi was good but the rice was totally off. Definitely not authentic. I think this is something they can work on to improve their service. The restaurant is actually pretty big with lots of seating for regular dining. I also ordered sushi to go. FYI, they do not do take out for pick up as they are too busy. You need to plan ahead for that. You can order online on their website but the day before.

Andy V.

Yelp
This was by far the most enjoyable restaurant we visited during a long weekend ski trip. Since their menu was so expansive we could and should have come back for a second night. We had the sushi and it was top notch. The decor and service are first rate. Highly recommend!

Sabra S.

Yelp
We sat at the bar. Food took a long time, but it was delicious. Luckily we weren't in a rush. Drinks were great.

Tiana M.

Yelp
We have always loved the food at Blind Dog! It's been awhile since we've been in and we were really looking forward to going in last night until we noticed they removed the "shell fish pan roast!" They had a similar dish they called "fisherman's stew" with similar seafood, that we ended up getting, however the red "stew" doesn't hold a candle to the amazing flavors of the pan roast!! So bummed. Please bring back the shell fish pan roast Blind Dog!! Everything else was delicious! Service from Stephen was great as usual!

Ana C.

Yelp
This used to be one of my favorite places in town. So sad to see that service has gone out the window. Our server was horrible and seemed to be high on something; needless to say it was a horrible experience. We repeatedly had to ask the wait staff to clear the table, and even then still had used plates in between courses. When you ask for something, like more water, everyone seems confused and they take forever. The food was not as horrible as the service, but for the price, it was truly mediocre. Some plates were cold, others lacked flavor and for the most part the best item was the bread. A true disappointment. We had been looking forward to our reservation and it did not live up to what Blind Dog used to be.

Joe M.

Yelp
Good was fantastic! If you are so fortunate to get Alexandra as your server, even better experience! Great recommendations that all for exactly what we were craving for dinner. Gracias Alex!

Sedona B.

Yelp
This is a great seafood restaurant in PC! We came here last minute for a quick bite to eat and we're surprisingly seated right away. The service from the get go was great. The hostess was very friendly and got us seated in a great part of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is so beautiful. The atmosphere is amazing if u need a nice date night. Our server Caleb was fantastic! Very attentive, nice, funny, quick, and made sure our experience was the best. Definitely knows how to do customer service. The food was also amazing!!!!

Mike S.

Yelp
We loved it! We had a party of ten and had great service. We had 6 appetizers and sushi and all different meals - and everything was perfect. I had the meatloaf and it was 10 outta 10. I would recommend! Check it out !
