I recently found myself in this area for my mom's doctor's appointment. Since I hadn't been here in years, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try a spot that's been on my list. The inside of the restaurant is charming, with a cozy coffee bar and an actual bar offering seating. The remaining tables are set up for breakfast or lunch, and we visited for breakfast.
Our server was prompt, friendly, and attentive, which made the experience pleasant. Their drink menu stood out with unique offerings. One option, the Gorilla Coffee (made with mashed bananas), sounded intriguing. As I write this, I regret not trying it, but the holiday specials caught my attention. I opted for The Grinch, a peppermint matcha latte, and it was delightful. The warm, cozy flavors were perfect for the season, making it feel like a hug in a cup.
For breakfast, I ordered the SECS, which featured homemade sausage. While the sausage was cooked well, it was a bit too spicy for my taste, making it slightly unenjoyable. My mom chose the sausage links, which seemed less spicy and more balanced. The biscuit accompanying the dish had a nice flavor, though it was a bit dry. The potatoes were very good though. Overall, the dish was okay but not particularly memorable.
Before leaving, I grabbed a coffee to go, which was excellent. It had a rich, bold flavor that left a great impression. While I wasn't blown away by my entree, the quality of their coffee and the overall ambiance make this place worth visiting. I'd definitely recommend it for a fantastic cup of coffee, and I'm confident their other menu options are worth exploring.
