"The Harbor East restaurant unites art and style, from the oversized bird’s nest to the Kendrick Lamar quotes plastered on the wall. BLK Swan pays homage to Baltimore staples, including the chicken box and fried lake trout (available for brunch). On weekend nights, DJs spin all kinds of music genres like R&B, EDM, and pop." - Jess Mayhugh, Eater Staff

"Candiace Dillard Bassett and Wendy Osefo headed up to Baltimore to enjoy daytime cocktails and entrees at Harbor East hotspot BLK Swan, a scene-y restaurant and lounge with resident DJs at night. Wendy’s friend Keiarna, who works at a nearby wellness spa, met up with the pair to talk shop. Seated to a backdrop of chandeliers and neon-lit signage spelling out “I came, I swan, I conquered,” Candiace ordered the “PWA” (Pretty With an Attitude) cocktail with pineapple-infused run, while Wendy for the agave-based Smoking Mirrors ($25). For food, they ordered chef Saon Brice’s popular pasta pomodoro featuring lump crab and Gulf shrimp and fire-roasted lamb chops." - Vinciane Ngomsi, Tierney Plumb

Took my wife here for her birthday and I must say I was blown. Food was great, service was great. We were lucky to have met part owner, Chef Saon, who was friendly and personable. Our waitress Kelly was super cool. Birthday toast was awesome. I will definitely go to this place again.

I had a great time with my friend to catch up and enjoy a delicious meal. We could sit and talk while enjoying the music. Midweek is perfect because it's not too busy. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food was beautiful and delicious!

Girls trip to Baltimore and February being black history month we try to patronize black own. Black Swan did not disappoint. As soon as the door opened the vibe hit us in the face. Old skool music, the decor, the atmosphere and the friendly staff. Everything on the menu looked so appetizing it was hard to decide. We order a few dishes so we could all taste everything. Each entree was absolutely delicious. Cocktails and dessert was amazing as well. Our server was on point very personable and she added to our great experience. The music jamming in the background but yet we was still able to talk to one another without yelling. Everything was cooked to perfection and we all enjoyed every bite and we sone picky divas. lol. The manager even came to the table to see how our evening was going. If you in the area it’s a must …. When I get back to the city I will be stopping in again. I work for the airlines and I will be sharing this with my fellow colleagues if they in the city to try to get in for dinner. Thank you for a wonderful evening and great experience.

Google
We came in and it was only one server and we waited for a while to be served and when another server came she never really greeted us and we felt like we were being rushed and the host/greeter wasn't very pleasant at but overall food was bomb! But they need better service and our waiter didn't type or write down our order but forgot our cinnamon rolls i rather waiters write down what we order but we will back but service got to do better for black owned

We had a great time. We went on a Friday around 6pm. This was right before the restaurant started to get packed. The decor was nice. The food was awesome. That cornbread is the best. I would definitely go back. I loved the fire roasted lamb chops. They were seasoned just right and nice and tender.

This place is a vibe! Like seriously, you have to go and experience it yourself! From the door, the hostess was super nice! Our server was even better, she was impeccable! I actually forgot her name (I’m sorry). She was very attentive and made sure we didn’t need anything. This place is very beautiful, the art inside is very elegant! I really love this place and I’m gonna be coming back! Especially for the lamb and fried calamari 😋👌🏽

Google
They have really lost their luster in my opinion. I remember when they first opened. Those first two years this place was amazing. Now the food is mid. The servers are mid and the managers aren’t managing. However, the DJ’s and music are always a vibe.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Blk Swan for the first time tonight. Great atmosphere and food. We had the shrimp and grits and chilean sea bass. Our server, Juquon, really made it an enjoyable evening. I still think my Pear Apple drink was better than my husband's Smoky Mirror

Shari V.

Yelp
This food is amazing! I have never had a French toast that did not need syrup. Oh it was so good! The fried chicken wings were not overly seasoned and the eggs were fluffy. I cannot say enough about this food! I sat at the bar and the bartender gave such great suggestions; which were all hits! The decor of the restaurant is beautiful; surrounded by images of beautiful black excellence. Definitely worth the trip! I'll be back!

Yelp
I don't know if it was an off night but the service was not good at all. Our server took about 10 minutes to come get our drink orders, another 15 to bring them, and then didn't come back for an additional 20 minutes to get our food orders. The food did come out fairly quickly, but my order of the crab stuffed shrimp and grits was very underwhelming. The grits were more of a mashed potato consistency and came somewhat congealed. The flavor was lacking and the dish was cold within about 10 minutes. Ambiance was more of a club than a restaurant. The music selection was decent, but there were times when the restaurant would look more like a lounge with sections. Two or three times a server/runner dropped and shattered a glass right behind my table (we were near the kitchen area.) I don't know, maybe I came with the wrong expectations, but I thought this would be more of an upscale refined experience. Overall I may try again, but this first visit was certainly disappointing.

Yelp
Let me just say that I truly enjoyed being served by Diamond. She was the best. Very attentive, went down the menu in details, energy was amazing. Ask for her! The Dj was cool but I didn't know that I would be charged a 2.99 entertainment fee.. that was new lol. Seated right next to the DJ booth I was still able to hold a conversation without yelling and eardrums being blasted out. Now the food.. I wasn't blown away but I have nothing too bad to say about it.. the cinnamon bun and the croissant were both on the dry side to me, they were a shareable size. While my omelette was pretty tasty it was like warm. If it was hotter I think I would have enjoyed it a little better. My friend that joined me was not impressed with her meal. While she stated that the salmon was cooked to perfection she said her grits reminded her of cream of wheat rather than grits. Appearance wise they were definitely on the creamer side. As a first timer it was nice but I wouldn't run back.

Yelp
Came here yesterday for brunch and it was okay, left a bit disappointed. I ordered the lobster, egg and cheese croissant and it was mediocre. Barely any jam and one fried egg (one egg, whilst the menu said farm eggs, plural). Looking at another photo the sandwich appeared full with fluffy eggs. Not worth the $. I ordered bacon on the side (which took a long time to receive), and two pieces were overcooked and dry. Everyone at the table could tell my disappointment. Others at the table ordered the fish and grits and the short rib omelette which looked more appetizing, so stick to those if you come here for brunch. Service was okay. When more patrons came into the restaurant, we saw less of our server, and had to wave him down to get his attention several times. They actually charge a $2.99 or $3.99 entertainment fee on the check, I'm guessing for the DJ? That is a first for me. The best part about this restaurant are the aesthetics inside. I thought its decor was chic and the photo booth was a nice touch. Don't think I'll be returning.

Yelp
The lamb chops were my favorite thing we tried all night. They were perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The wings were also very tasty. I was disappointed in the amount of asparagus especially for the price. I will also say the drinks are really pricey and not much alcohol. The restaurant has really good music and a good vibe. The staff was friendly but the service was a little wonkey. All our food didn't come out at the same time and then we didn't get two of the drinks we ordered until we were done with our meal.

Brisje G.

Yelp
BLK swan has really cute aesthetics. I went for dinner last Saturday. The music was great, staff attentive, and food came out timely. Me and my girlfriend ordered the Mistletoe Martinis off their holiday menu. It's a good bang for your buck. 2 drinks for the price of 1. Since our reservation was kind of late, I ordered a salmon chef chop salad which was so good with thousand island dressing. I also ordered the truffle honey marshmallow cornbread for the table, it was so good and moist. Never had marshmallows on cornbread before, it was so tasty I am going to attempt to make it at home.

Molly H.

Yelp
Blk Swan is such a vibe! Great music (definitely loud though - it's a party vibe) and cool decor. I came with a friend and we split a bottle of wine (it was half off which is always great), 3 appetizers and a dessert. Everything was so so tasty!! The wine was fine, nothing to write home about but that's to be expected with a half price bottle. Service was great too. It's definitely expensive; it ended up being around $150 for both of us, but it's Harbor East and I'm just glad my money wasn't going toward atlas group but instead a black-owned business! Definitely want to come back for brunch.

Lashanda L.

Yelp
It's an experience you have to have. Music, drinks, food, friends mix for a good time. The decor is chic and the servers were passionate. The BLK Swan drink is just what you need to let the good times flow. It's pricey but stay awhile and enjoy the live dj.

Chris J.

Yelp
Attended tasting and first time visitor. Ambiance is great. Our waiter Mike had such good energy. Food was just okay. While on paper the menu looks amazing the flavor profile was average. Food took about an hour to come out between appetizers and entree and was usually room temp. Could be convinced to go again in hopes to have a better experience.

Yelp
My first time at Blk Swan two years ago for dinner was excellent. Fast forward to a visit for brunch on a recent Sunday and it was pretty disappointing. The pros - the drinks were really good. The ambiance is still lively and we enjoyed the DJ. However the food was not on par with my first experience. The food came out way too fast to have been freshly prepared/made to order. The beau's steak and eggs was decent but lukewarm in temperature. I had the Dirty South Chicken and Grits :(. The chicken breast was nicely flavored but was not fresh out of the fryer as it was not hot...again the food came out super quick. The grits were an abomination. Cold, lumpy, and too thick for this kind of dish. We were here in the morning - no way they were freshly prepped. Highly disappointed which is why I can only give two stars.

Yelp
Last Saturday , to kick off my birthday weekend , I celebrated at Blk Swan. The place is beautiful and ambiance is on point. But, from the moment we were seated, it was a disaster. We sat and waited to be greeted and served. It looked like only 3 servers were working. It literally took like 10 minutes and we had to get the front door host to find our person . The place was buzzing with families, date nights, girl nights and those also celebrating birthdays. The drink "Pretty with an attitude" was not strong at all. It was beautiful nonetheless. What was surprising is that There wasn't a manager walking around , pouring water refills, or anything ! ?? Items reviewed: Jumbo Lump Shrimp Fire Roasted Lamb Chops Crispy Calamari Braised Beef Short Rib Grilled Asparagus Food was decent and very familiar. If you want a lit celebratory vibe, you will not be disappointed. I loved the birthday song , the cake, and the Photo Booth. If you are looking for quiet, it's not that. We parked at the hotel around the corner for valet service.

Yelp
10/10 i love the aesthetic and the food was amazing. I ordered branzino & the scallops for appetizer chef kiss lol. My server was nice as well and drinks are delicious especially the holiday drinks. I will definitely be back. The only negative thing I had which isn't a good first impression was that heavy a$$$ door i needed someone to help me open it, it was sooooo heavy and the nasty attitude having host! She had the worst attitude for no reason but other than that I enjoyed myself. Sorry I have no pics of the food or drinks lol

Yelp
A group of us from a conference descended on the restaurant on a Wednesday night. While we had 3 reservations for group of five or six the restaurant seemed unprepared. All of our reservations were for the same time and we were fine seated apart. One of the managers expressed anger towards another member of our party about our party size. This was disappointing because she had made several calls to book a larger table for the whole group and never received a call back. Our service was minimally adequate. I placed an order received what I ordered. I never saw the waitress again after receiving my dish. It's a cute place, but I'm not sure that I would return based on the low level of customer service.

Yelp
It was hard to find it, but once we did, it was sooo worth it! Everything from the friendly greeting to the wait staff to the music and atmosphere was incredible. But the food!!! That was the best breakfast spread ever! We got the cinnamon roll to share, both had that crab Benedict, and split side of potatoes. Food was out of this world! I only wish we were in town longer to go back there again!

Yelp
I had the opportunity to check out this place for Restaurant Week. I went during lunch with my girlfriend and it was amazing! Service was great. Our waiter, Michael, was great in providing recommendations and was very attentive during our stay. Food was delicious, and a great value. The winning dish was definitely the lemon bread pudding! Oh and the drink we had was also incredible! I don't remember the name of it, but I added a picture in my review. Lastly, I loved the ambiance because of the music they were playing.

Yelp
I was in Baltimore for a conference and this place was highly recommended by the internet and some friends. I came here with a group of 5 women on a Saturday evening and they were able to seat us in 40-50mins, which is great for a hip place like this! We were able to wait at the bar. The hostess and service were extremely nice. Once we were seated, we got the complimentary truffle marshmallow popcorn for the table. This popcorn was a mix of sweet and savoury. We didn't order any apps, when straight to dinner. I got the chicken box. Everything was phenomenal! The drinks were also creative and delicious. The only comment is that the crab cakes were priced at MKT price and we did not bother asking.. when the bill came, it was $77! Other than that, everything was reasonably priced. The vibes are on point, DJ spinning all the hits. You can sit, you can dance, eat, drink, it was amazing! 10/10 recommend to anyone in Baltimore.

Tre J.

Yelp
This is what you call faux-upscale dining. Why is there an entertainment fee but no entertainment?? No DJ, no band...just fees. For what? I know why, because it's a BLK owned establishment. Absolutely ridiculous. And even if there was a band or a DJ, that's a plot to bring in more business- not charge customers on top of their meals. This is what you call a Black tax.

Faith Maya O.

Yelp
Came here for the first time for brunch yesterday and I have mixed but generally good feelings. It was pretty pricey for brunch, I paid $51.99 for 3 items. I got the potato casserole (potatoes with onions), a side of mixed berries for $2, and $26 for the lobster egg and cheese croissant sandwich. I could have done without the potato casserole, it wasn't seasoned that well and was just okay, nothing special. The berries were great but nothing special you have to do with those, they are a great price. The sandwich was good although I do wish it had a bit more lobster. I liked the addition of the BLKberry jam. They do have automatic 20% gratuity even though it was only 2 of us so I was a bit surprised by that. Customer service was excellent so I can't complain there, our server was really sweet. The decor is absolutely stunning and beautiful, everything is black and bird themed. The plates and everything were so chic! So impressed by the outside and the inside. I loveee supporting a black owned establishment so even though it was pricey, I think it's worth trying out. Prepare to pay for parking, or if you want free parking, prepare to walk a few blocks, it is harbor east --a busy area with a lot of restaurants. Many people do ride scooters so that's a nice option. They didn't have someone at the host stand when I arrived so I couldn't check but that's the only other thing besides the automatic gratuity and the bland potatoes that I didn't like. It wasn't crowded at all either. Overall I would go back, for dinner and I do recommend.

Yelp
We made reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday night and we were able to get seated as soon as out while party arrived. There was a bar to sit at or wait at for your party to arrive. We were seated at a booth and it was sufficiently spacious. The vibe and aesthetics for the restaurant were very nice. I really loved the music they were playing; it was not overly loud but created a fun celebratory. The pictures on the wall and the camera selfie were a really nice touch. The service is where I took off points. The hostess and our server were great. The food came out quickly and the server was nice and knowledgeable. We weren't there for that long and there were several open tables, but it appeared the managers were in a rush to get people out. They were visibly upset that people were there longer than i assume they expected and you could can hear them asking each other about it. They came up to a couple of tables and asked in a friendly way to wrap up. It made the night feel rushed and it tarnished the experience. I was dead set on coming back here but that causes me pause. The drinks to me were extremely overpriced. I paid $22 for their signature drink and while it was good, it was a not very strong or memorable. The table was served popcorn and the table had mixed reviews in it. Some of us really enjoyed it and others like it but thought it was ok. We ordered the lobster pizza which was absolutely delicious. The sauce was good on it and had a good amount of fried lobster pieces on it. We also got the jerk chicken pizza and I did not think it was very good and not even becasue it was more bbq than jerk; it just didn't have flavors that stuck out to me. I ordered the lamb chop appetizers and they were cooked reallllly well. Mine were seasoned perfectly and there were 5 pieces. Some of the other folks at the table said their lamb chops were not consistent in seasoning; some chops were seasoned well and some weren't. A couple of folks got the chicken box and said that they had better from a regular spot. The lobster mac n cheese looked really good and I was surprised how much lobster it was topped with! The lobster wasn't mixed in. I'd recommend it. I ordered the brussel sprouts as a side. It was too oily for me but the other folks at the table loved it. The claamari was also seasoned well to me and had a good crisp. The dish came with a lot of calamari and also mixed with jalapeños and other vegetables. Overall, the food was very good to me.

Crystal D.

Yelp
This was our first time here. From the time we walked the hostess was very welcoming and we were seated immediately. I loved the area that we were seated in. It was semi private and the noise level even with the music playing allowed for table conversations. I loved that our waiter was so knowledgeable on the menu. He gave good recommendations when we asked about certain dishes. Everything we had was hot and seasoned. I loved that the shell on the eggrolls wasn't so thick so got were able to taste the cheesesteak. Will definitely go back.

Farah K.

Yelp
I'm disappointed to be writing this review since I've been wanting to check this place out for a while and was very underwhelmed by it today after dining there. I saw they were doing restaurant week and found a reservation for 2. We got there exactly on time but were not seated for maybe 20 minutes or so (mind you they have a sign at the check in counter mentioning to be courteous and to not dine for longer than 90 minutes.) But hey it happens. We get seated right next to the dj booth. Now I know for some a brunch with loud music playing may be the vibe they are going for and wanting, but for me as much as I enjoy music it was way too loud. We couldn't speak to each other and honestly I have a bit of a headache now. Dj music is fine but please consider the volume. The time it took for us to order and for us to get our first dish was maybe 30 minutes. That too the menu said biscuits with an 's' but my bf got one biscuit. I got the croissant which tasted nice but nothing amazing. My bf got the pancakes and I got the short rib Benedict. For 35 per person the food was a let down to me. I've had better food in the immediate vicinity for cheaper pricing. Our server was nice but clearly overwhelmed. For a restaurant that was full, there seemed to be only 2 servers that I spotted but maybe there were more I am not sure. This place is sure decorated nice and it's all about the insta presence of the place and how it looks. It just seems all focus is on the look and very little effort on other aspects of the dining out experience of a restaurant. I would say if they would work on those things as well this could easily have been a 4 star experience for me.

Jessica U.

Yelp
Ambiance: Came on a Friday night and they played Afrobeats which I love! Grown and sexy vibe! Drink: Smokin Mirror - Delicious 9.5/10 Food: Seafood Ricotta - Very good 9/10 Service: 10/10 - Super sweet Worst part: prices. I'm rich and this was insane for me

Anthony W.

Yelp
My people show that we can do it as well as anyone else. Came with a party of 25, had no issues, everyone enjoyed their meals. One of the best shrip and grits plates I've eaten, lamb chops are straight perfection. The braised beef was perfectly tender & the chicken box was delicious as well. Ownership deserves a salute.

Kaila T.

Yelp
All I can say is 10s across the board . Service from the moment we walked in was amazing . Food was delicious , fresh , and flavorful . The PWA drink was so good I got a 2nd one and my friend got it for her 2nd drink as well. Vonte was a great server and didn't miss a beat .

Sabrina S.

Yelp
1. It was uncomfortably warm inside. 2. I can't understand any of the pricing. It's not fine dining or "elevated" cuisine. -The "happy hour" drinks are $14+ ? -The "happy hour" bites are priced similarly. Taste-wise I wasn't upset. The chicken box was well seasoned and the raven drink was good. I can't just spending $40 on ONE drink and ONE appetizer at a happy hour.

Ell M.

Yelp
Great food, definitely a vibe. Music is loud, venue is put together quite nicely! Historic black facts and important figures posted everywhere.

Danielle L.

Yelp
I'm literally sitting in here. 9 of us celebrating 3 birthdays. ALL of our food is COLD. Sent my food back, waitress brought right back STILL COLD! So I WILL NEVER COME BACK!

Dee S.

Yelp
During a recent visit to Baltimore, this restaurant came highly recommended by a local and did not disappoint. As the only vegan in my group, it is often difficult to find restaurants with appealing vegan options. I suggested this restaurant to my friends who were traveling with me, with no expectation of having options for myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find vegan options available. Not only were they available, but my meal was one of the best vegan dishes that I have had. The skillet is considered an appetizer, but was large enough to share or to be considered an entree. That staff was very accommodating and friendly. Everyone in my party was impressed with the food, drinks, and service. The atmosphere was grown and sexy. This is definitely a place that I will visit again. I want to give a special thanks to the Executive Chef, Chef Saon, who was very friendly and accommodating. He took time out to speak to me about my dietary needs and offered food and wine suggestions. Amazing establishment!

Qadira W.

Yelp
We were a party of 5, no separate checks allowed. Because it was a weekday thankfully there was no loud music/DJ so we could actually hear each other. The menu hasn't changed since I was there 9mos ago and a couple things they ran out of. The food was decent, but a few items had a weird carrot string garnish (including the dessert). Also, everything is a la carte. Very pleasant wait staff.

Michele B.

Yelp
Saturday Gurlllaaaa Day in Baltimore I've been watching reviews on the infamous TikTok .., so of course I gotta see the HYPE!!!! We had a1pm reservation...recommend Because I've seen where ppl can't get a reservation for weeks at a time Lobster on a bed of popcorn Chicken waffles Lamb chops Brussels Chicken eggs biscuit sliders cinnamon Potatoes We really ordered so many things I can't remember them all The Dj was really good We had a really good time laughing and talking with the other patrons It can get a little loud and seating can be tight at times But overall the experience was nice Food was also really good

Bri F.

Yelp
Where do I begin... The prices and dress code would lead you to believe this is a high end establishment, a place for a classy dinner or date. However what you actually get is a cheap club experience with dance music so loud you can barely hear the person sitting across from you speaking, keep in mind this was 7pm. The food was mediocre and under seasoned with quite small portion sizes, and for $50 on average for an entree, my group expected better. The drinks were the only good part of the evening. The bartenders are great. As for service, the waitress accidentally dipped her hair into one of the entrees as it was placed onto the table and as a consolation brought my friend a drink she didn't want or like. But the real whammy was that we were mistakenly charged for an ENTIRE bottle of don Julio that we absolutely did not order. That was $275... As one member of the group covered the charge and the rest of us planned to divvy up the individual items the next day to pay her back, we didn't see the charge until later after we had paid and the restaurant had closed. The next few days, we called three times, were told management would be in touch but they never called back (we gave them 5 days). An email detailing the situation was sent as well. So with a huge mistake like this on their part, they clearly don't care at all to try and fix the issue and are perhaps hoping we just forget it. And we were charged an "entertainment fee", we're not sure how we were at all entertained during this poor experience. We recommend going to near by Tagliata instead, where you can find some of the best food for reasonable prices and live music played by actual musicians, where we wouldn't mind being charged an entertainment fee.

Yelp
Atmosphere and vibe is nice. Came here for brunch. Been here previously for late night drinks. The vibe is always nice. Brunch drink options weren't what we expected but the mini champagne and juice was okay. Pineapple, hibiscus and orange juice were our juice options. The orange juice looked odd so we didn't try it. The lemon cinnamon roll was amazing and I'd return just for that alone. The food on the menu sounded delicious. We were shocked our meals came out very very fast after placing the order. Later we discovered parts of our meal that was cold. The grits were flavorful the fish wasn't very crispy. That was disappointing. This brunch experience was lackluster but the time I've been before I loved the food and drinks. So I'd return to give the place another try.

Vicky B.

Yelp
The food at Black Swan was was very good. I went on restaurant week me and my husband for his birthday and I would recommend the food to anyone that wants to go. It was crowded. The atmosphere was so upbeat and everybody was having a great time. The DJ was just great and my server couldn't have been better I would recommend it to anyone

Private B.

Yelp
#1 Do not go here on a date because you will not be able to have a conversation. The music is wayyyyy too loud. We could not hear each other sitting across a 2 seat table smh So we requested a booth so we can sit next to each other and still couldn't hear each other. We seen several couples move during our visit to sit next to each other too smh The drink options are limited. So I didn't get anything except water. I visited during restaurant week to try the $55 dinner special. The crab soup was different, but okay. The salmon croquette was pretty good. After the appetizer, the waiter informed me they were out of salmon smh. So she gave me some fish that I didn't like. The mashed potatoes was okay. The string beans were not cooked long enough. The sweet potato bread pudding was delicious. The decor is very pretty. They claim to have a dress code, but I seen several people dressed in basic street wear. The hype of the name I jut can't understand

Jared E.

Yelp
My fiancé and I went to check out Blk Swan and the aesthetics were amazing. This is a place where you go to take instagram pictures and show off. The music was on point and was primarily Afro beats. The popcorn with toasted marshmallows was delicious as well. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I had the Pasta Pomodoro and it was good. It was seasoned just right and a good portion of food. My drink was something that started with a J, I believe it was a Jamillionare or something like that. I would say it was excellent. One thing I can admit is that this place is a bit pricy. Do I think the food was worth the price?? My answer would be no. My honest opinion is that you are paying for the ambiance. All in all, I would recommend checking this place out.

Probably my absolute favorite restaurant I've ever had the pleasure to experience. Blk Swan is sleek, and sexy, and inviting. For such a dark space, it's so welcoming and the ambiance is amazing, no wonder we had to book these reservations 2 months in advance. 8pm reservations on a Friday evening- seated immediately in our corner booth. Our server Chantelle (spellcheck) was phenomenal. She was so personable and knowledgeable about the menu options. She made sure to go through every item on the menu and even had the pleasure to go over her top favorites as well. We ordered quite a few appetizers: fried calamari, stuffed shrimp, the chicken box. The stuffed shrimp were to die for, 2 nice sized jumbo shrimp that were perfectly cooked and filled with lump crab meat!! The chicken box-- hot and ready chicken with a side of mumbo sauce and hot sauce. I will say, the mumbo sauce was a tad too sweet for my personal liking but it did not affect the chicken at all. I thought it paired well with the pomme frites (which were so amazingly crisp btw). For entrees we got the seafood risotto, 16 oz ribeye, braised short ribs, Chilean sea bass, jerk chicken pizza, and hot honey pepperoni pizza. The seafood risotto has so much flavor, I appreciate this recommendation from our server as it did not disappoint. Plump scallops and jumbo shrimp and lump crab with every bite. The braised short rib was SO tender it was falling off the bone. The ribeye cut like butter and was perfect paired with the PWA drink. The. Chilean sea bass lacked flavor for me personally but it was cooked well and just slightly underseasoned to me. The jerk pizza and hot honey pepperoni pizza was also great. Perfect way to close my year by going to probably my new #1 establishment for 2023.

Yelp
This place is near perfect. The decor is awesome and the music is perfect. Service was beyond excellent. I believe Kenzie was our server. She did an excellent job and was very pleasant. The crab stuffed shrimp was good not great. We both the had sea bass and it was nothing short of amazing. It made up for the shrimp. The desserts here are on point and the cocktails are off the chain. I've seen in other reviews that this place is a little overpriced and I couldn't disagree more. The quality was definitely there. Understanding my son and I aren't the target demographic we felt very welcomed and had a great time. The only other negative is no beer and all the taps on the wall were a major tease. If we are back in Bmore we will be back.

Yelp
Omg so first of all I haven't yelped in forever but after my experience at black swan on Wednesday I just have to! This place is gorgeous the interior design and decor is so elegant and regal. The music selections are perfect, the lighting sets the tone. Omg the drinks are strong and very good. I tried the signature black swan cocktail and I highly recommend it. My sister graduated on Wednesday so we had a large party. The food was good. Pictures for proof :p. Overall my family and I really enjoy ourselves, they have camera set up to take pictures which was so fun to do while we waited for our food. This is a perfect place to take a date or group of friend for happy hour which btw they only have on Tuesdays and Thursday at least that's what our waiter told us. Oh almost forgot they have complimentary popcorn which was so damn good lol great snack to munch on while food is being prepared.

Yelp
Went at 6pm on Saturday with my parents. They put us in private section away from everyone.. At first I didn't like being away from the action but the music may have too loud so it was perfect.. Plus icing on the cake was Forest who took care of us. I would call him waiter or server but he was so much more than that. He recommended dishes and directed us away from others. That smash burger looked amazing and my dad had a fish..he ate the whole dish. He NEVER does that. If you can, ask for Forest to assist you. He REALLY was that good.

Yelp
From the moment we walked in the door everything was perfect. A nice lady opened the door for us with a smile. Immediately greeted by the host gave her our reservation name she gave us menus and got us seated. Once we were seated a nice young man walked up our waiter and introduced himself he was dressed nice and very professional. We had a show to see at the Baltimore Convention Center so we knew this would be a quick dinner but this restaurant was on our list so we had to stop by while in the area. And we have no regrets we skipped an appetizer and started with our cocktails we both got a smoking mirror. It's was Perfect flavorful , presentation nice and strong what wise could you ask for in a cocktail. Waiter gave us great suggestions everything he suggested we tried. Next we ordered seafood risotto when I say melting in my mouth omg yesss! If I had to describe it I would say romatic, Delicious, Flavorful and mouth-watering! The last time I had really good risotto it was in Gordon Ramsey restaurant in London so I know a good risotto. Let's not forget about the ambiance classy, modern and just a vibe. They had a DJ music was good. Overall we will be back i want to try the lamb chops and the crab cakes. We will Definitely recommend this restaurants to all of our fellow foodies.

Yelp
Bill swan was a great place for brunch! They had a dj but it wasn't to the point that you couldn't hear the others in your party. We got the crab Benny's which was great to start and a mimosas carafe. For your meals I got the crab and lobster omelette and it was so good! I didn't eat it all and took it home and finished it! The service was good. Our waiter know everything she could have possibly needed to know about the menu to the point it was a tad overwhelming. But she was on it! I would recommend but it is a little experience.

Yelp
Our good friends made reservations for a Saturday at 5:45pm at the BLK Swan and we absolutely loved the music, vibe and the decor of this restaurant! Although the drinks and menu items we selected were extremely tasty, the prices in our opinion for everything was a little bit high we thought. Come ready to spend a minimum of about $100+ per person ordering drinks, the entree and a appetizer. Their signature black swan drink was priced at about $ 20 each. It was very delicious. My husband got the pretty with an attitude drink and they certainly did not skimp on the liquor in it as I was totally not ready when I took a sip! *choke The calamari with whatever sauce they drizzled on it was the highlight of the table. Our guest ordered a salad with shrimp and the pieces of shrimp on her salad were a very nice size. Mixed reactions from the table for the lobster scampi pizza. Some thought salty and others thought it was fine. Egg rolls were good too. Our server was okay. She was very direct and bossy at the same time. She never asked us if we had been there before. She wanted our orders ASAP. No menu introductions - just get into it I guess. We felt a little rushed. We thought we had enough room for the chicken box and pizza we ordered and asked her to bring them out at the same time. She instead told us how she was going to direct the order to come out because she thought we did not have room. We just said okay. The butter that came with the bread was good. Sweet. A guest with us asked her for a specific menu item she just told him "no they are not doing that today." No other explanation. She took our orders and that was the last we saw of her. Other workers delivered our drinks and food. She got busy so we did not get a chance to order additional drinks and had to find her when we needed our check. We came and we supported.

Yelp
We all met up here to celebrate a friends' milestone birthday! We all had a nice room to be together for food, fun and drinks for a few hours. Staff service is awesome and they made sure our entire party had a great timeo. Brandon the bartender is a true professional. He balances greeting guests, sharing his knowledge of the menu and the speed of creating memorable drinks! The staff went above and beyond to make this milestone birthday event a successful celebration. It was SO nice of the chef to come out to greet everyone as we were saying our goodbyes as the crew at Blk Swan was closing for brunch and preparing for dinner service. It's early in the day and this place is LIVELY!

Yelp
My second visit here. This time is was for my sister's birthday gift from me because she'd never been. We had reservations for 11 a.m. on a Sunday which was exactly the time the opened for business. The customer service was great, from the doormen, to the hosts and our server Darrius. If you've never been, the atmosphere is great, it just gets a little too loud with the music for me. You're definitely going to have to speak up a little to converse with your guests. It was brunch so I opted for the chicken and waffles because the last time I came with my brother and he loved them. The waffle was delicious. Nice and fluffy. Had to ask for a little more syrup tho. The wings were seasoned well. They were just a little on the dry side but I could still tolerate it. It's a place that I'd return to but not often because it isn't my kind of vibe but I definitely see why it's so popular.

Yelp
Everything was perfect! I give it a 10/10. Soon as I walked in the manager welcomed me with a warm greeting. My server was Cam was cool. There's sawn prints on the wall paper throughout the restaurant. BLK Swan is definitely a vibe! It's a must to check out when in Bmore!!! You won't be disappointed. My mom had a pineapple mimosas. I had the signature drink, which is black swan. I was indecisive about what I wanted to order..... decisions decisions decisions. The presentation on a chicken and waffles was pretty cool perfectly go to fry chicken wings with confetti college sprinkles. Instead I reverse it had challah French toast with the chicken wings. The wings were pretty good. The skin was perfectly golden, and piping hot. However, the chicken in South Korea had a little bit more flavor. My auntie had the steak and eggs. My mom had fried fish and grits. The ambience is everything BLACK on black. The theme is so DOPE! The D.J. (DJ Amore) is set up in a birds nest. All of the photos on the wall is black and white. From the cutlery, to there own black hand sanitizer bottle with their logo....it's unique. There's even a photo booth in front of the D.J. They even have options to make a GIF or Boomerang. Each time I'm in Baltimore I will have to visit!

Yelp
The dj and vibe was great for brunch. The food was good. However, at no time should I receive my food before the rest of my party has finished ordering. The waitress kept leaving the table in between orders, and no one received their food at the same time. The wait staff kept bringing out the wrong dishes and not bringing the drinks that were ordered. Just very disorganized. If they could get the staff together for a training, this would be a higher rating!

Yelp
If I could give Blk Swan a negative one I would. Poor phone etiquette, poor customer from management down to servers. My experience here was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. I left highly disappointed. It took 38 minutes to be exact to receive our cocktails even though there were only 6 other guests in the restaurant. When our drinks arrived they were incorrect and tasted like a cup full of sugar. WHEN I ORDERED THE DRINKS WE BOTH SAID WE DONT LIKE SUGAR IN OUR DRINKS... when Ty took our drink orders she did not write ANYTHING down. Drink request#1: Don Julio repo in a black glass Drink request# 2: Don Julio repo with lime juice with the smoke and mirror effect I simply explained to Ty that our drinks were incorrect ... she rolled her eyes and said "hold on" and went to get her manager. The manager Brandis came to our table taking a deep breath and said "Alcohol is sugar" then proceeded with her solution to the problem she stated "We can remake them the way you like but we have to charge you for both" meaning she was charging us for 4 drinks and we're only drinking We decided to cancel our food and just pay for the 2 drinks and calamari... we did not eat the calamari or drink the drinks and our bill was $92.68 because they included gratuity. I CAN GO ON WITH THIS EXPERIENCE EVEN WITH KITCHEN STAFF SHOUTING FROM THE KITCHEN.

Yelp
We were in Baltimore for a concert and stopped here for brunch. Glad we did! They have a great vibe with a DJ playing 90s-2000s starting at noon. Brandon was our bartender and he was super friendly and gave great recommendations of cocktail places to check out I the area. For food, we ordered the lamb chops which were phenomenal and the chicken and egg sliders. It comes with an apple jam. I'm more of a savory than sweet breakfast person, but it pairs so well with the fried chicken. Delicious. We will be back next time we are in town.
