The sweetest people behind the counter, very comforting, delicious and unique menu. The food (mains, onigiri and desserts) have been great everytime I go. I also ordered the omurice (great mole btw) to go one time and it traveled very well. Highly recommend having your drinks in the cafe and warm! The horchata matcha is the perfect cozy drink

Awesome new Japanese–Mexican café. The matcha with strawberry and yuzu was out of this world, and I’m usually not a big matcha lover. I also had the onigiri duo with pork and mole, as well as salmon. Both were delicious and great value. There isn’t a ton of seating, but it’s very pretty, and you can usually find a spot inside or outside when it’s not too crowded.

Google
A new local japanese mexican cross fusion coffee studio; with social media hype. Came to experience the high anticipated expectation from all social media postings. This was a true disappointment! Eggs are overcooked and lackluster, not fluffy as the owner and other reviewers pictures. Side salad was tossed with 2 drips of lemon juice, no oil nor any flavors. Matcha French toast was not any wow with next to no matcha flavor. Americano and coffee are ok. Small space but expect long wait time for food to come out.

Their matcha drinks are so good! Any of the matcha tonics are the perfect pick-me-up on a summer day, but I especially love the guava-yuzu one.

Google
Great matcha sourced from Japan! They also offer delicious bites. Perfect place to cozy up with a book for a morning bite & coffee.

This is a cute spot! The matcha horchata latte was very good. All their drinks look beautiful and we’ll be back to try their food options (Japanese Mexican fusion). They have some outdoor sitting and we are able to have our dogs there with us.

Google
Great coffee and omurice. Also such a vibe to sit outside the coffee shop and enjoy greenpoint. I just love how it’s a tokyo and mexico city fusion cafe. So cool Also Amadi was so nice and considerate. She gave me a free drink card and i cashed it in right away for the strawberry yuzu matcha. Legit sooo good. Amazing service

Tried a Guava Yuzu Matcha Tonic, was a great experience. Also the Onigiri with pork and mole was an amazing flavor I never tried before.

Yelp
Cute shop and small business in Greenpoint. The owner was happy and friendly, although he was occupied with others seated at a table while he took my order and made my drink. I didn't mind much as they seemed very in depth in conversation. I ordered the matcha tonic which was good but tonic water overpowered the matcha and I don't think mine came with an orange wedge as pictured on their infographic. They specialize in matcha flavored drinks as well as coffee and house-made onigiri. The space is small with a few tables and outdoor seating. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. No bathroom. Indoor and outdoor seating and take out. Drink up!

Yelp
Appreciated that it was hand whisked, however the matcha was very subtle and I did not pick up on any of the notes that were supposed to be in the drink (ie. Sakura, guava) The place itself is adorable and well decorated! Love the concept.

Yelp
Great Matcha place. Questionable Coffee studio though. Stopped by here as a nice refresher on a hot day. Got the strawberry matcha. Matcha was solid and the place was nice. Server was kind and let us know the recipes were taught from the head chef from Japan. Initially came here looking for coffee. Felt like the matcha options looked far more appealing and had more variety. Only reason I'd give it a 4.

Yelp
We stopped by BLND Coffee Studio to get a bit of a relief from the heat, and the place was pretty busy! Their menu is interested, as they describe themselves as a combination of 'Japanese craft with a Mexican soul', offering handcrafted drinks and Japanese bites - their menu had onigiri, sandos, omurice, and sweet-forward toasts, in addition to beverages. We ordered: +the Simmered Beef with Ginger onigiri +the Mentaiko onigiri - with spicy cod roe +a Sauteed Pork with Mole onigiri +a Tamago Sando - with an omelette with Oaxacan cheese, cucumbers, jalapenos, and chipotle mayo +a Guava-Yuzu Matcha Tonic with light ice +and, an Horchata Matcha with light ice The items were simple, and the staff were pretty friendly with all smiles and were efficient in taking the orders. I'd like to try their sweet toasts on the next visit. There is a handful of seating inside and some tables set up outside for those who enjoy al fresco dining. +Japanese bites +friendly service & staff +limited indoor and outdoor seating
