We loved the Block 9 in Summerlin and tried the one on St. Rose today. Let me break it down:
Food:
We ordered the drunken noodles, pork fried rice, and the chicken panang. Everything was delicious and had great flavor! The panang especially, was the best one I've had here in Las Vegas and we have tried it at Archi's and Weera Thai. Not to say the other restaurants weren't great, but this one had the right amount of spice and consistency of flavors that we particularly enjoy. Drunken noodles tasted just as amazing and wasn't too oily. Portions are decent, most Thai restaurants are all kind of priced in the same range nowadays, so definitely prefer quality and taste over other things, which Block 9 has.
Service:
If you haven't been to Block 9, you order at the register and then take your seat, or take it to-go. Service was prompt and great, staff is quick to get food out and there to assist with any options you may want, such as fish sauce, vinegar, etc.
Ambiance:
It's beautiful inside with a lot of art decor on the walls. Seating is comfortable and there is also plenty of outdoor seating.
I have one major concern and I hope management sees this: the MUSIC needs to change!! While I don't personally have issues with music by Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, and the like, maybe get the clean versions to play and not the dirty version. Nothing like sitting and hearing "Bloodsucker, famef*cker" blaring on the speakers while you eat, while also noticing an older crowd and families sitting inside. That wasn't even the worst, now imagine hearing Drake's "Rich Baby Daddy" play and the lyrics "Bend that a$$ over, let that c**chie breathe..." We felt second hand embarrassment and that's not easy for us! Again, I don't mind that music usually, but in a club and not in a family restaurant. I wouldn't bring my parents here you know what I mean? The staff didn't seem to notice, or care (?), but that is my only concern.
