It was my first time at this establishment. It’s always busy from a distance and inside as well. Even though there’s many attendants, the service is punctual. They have a popcorn machine in the corner, pool tables, clean restrooms, etc. Was there for about an hour. I would come back.

5 Stars! If you're looking for great vibes and even better service, this is the spot. Mac is hands down the BEST bartender in town—super friendly, quick with a pour, and always brings the energy. Mac makes sure everyone feels welcome and taken care of. The atmosphere is fun, the drinks are on point, and the people (especially Mac!) make it a place you'll want to keep coming back to.

Strangers making us popcorn was fun. It was very loud in there so kind of hard to have a conversation, but everyone was having a good time.

Great drinks, very inexpensive, phenomenal customer service, and you can bring in outside food. Will definitely return.

Smoker refuge... as they allow smoking just outside the doors, the bar inside swims with toxic swill. Points for having Ballast Point sculpin but that's about it. Non-smokers do not want to smell smoke the whole time they're drinking. Good selection of music.

The bartender made our visit totally worth it! Super friendly, great smile and awesome service.

I've only been here a few times but it's a pretty chill little spot. Very clean and the bartenders are nice! There's two pool tables in the side room and the restrooms are clean. Free popcorn ftw!

Bartender was a girl with glasses and brown hair she was the rudest bartender ever she had an attitude and they favorite locals and regulars only and she favorites the men more than me and my friend who were the o my girls and she made us feel dumb every time we asked her a question she answered as if we were the idiots for even asking a simple question never come here :) and if u see this and ur a rude POS

Not a sports bar. Packer games only when they are playing. NO other games, and don't ask!!

One of the best bars in Long Beach Kelly is the man!! Mac is also awesome !! Pool tables, full liquor bar with great service!!

This dive bar is our 'Cheers-where everybody knows your name'. My husband and I are regulars. I used to get upset with him because we'd go here 2-3 times a week; but as I've gotten to know the bartenders and other locals, I have a deeper appreciation for this place. I've formed so many great friendships here. Some who I now consider family. It's not a typical dive bar. You can totally sit at one of their tables in the outdoor patio and have some mimosas on a sunny afternoon. There's a billiard room where they hold pool tournaments on certain nights. You're allowed to bring in outside food. There's a great pizza place across the parking lot, a liquor store and a donut shop all in the same plaza. And a UPS in case you have anything to ship. :) Bathrooms are clean, prices are fair, they have beer on tap and bottled, full stocked liquor and for the lightweights- white claws, trulys and corona seltzers. Great people, great spot. Love this place.

I go here every now and then to meet with co workers and I don't know the bartender's name but it was on 5/16. I left my wallet and I was able to retrieve it the following day with everything in tact. Not to mention drinks come by quick also :)

As a bartender myself, the bartenders here are not friendly. As we are trying to walk inside the bar "keep in mind this our first time here" the place is pretty crowded and we try to approach the bar we CAN'T?! There isn't any spots open even the area where you order. Bartender is walking around as if they are lost and don't even ask if we would like to order a drink as we standing by the bar??!! By the time we order a drink, unfortunately it's not tasteful due to the atmosphere. Hello and goodbye!

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen decided to revisit Blondie's after several years. It is a good dive bar. People are cool, bartenders are quick, and the vibe is casual. There are quite a few Regulars here, which is nice to see in the neighborhood. The end.

If I could I'd give this place 0 stars. My husband and I have came here a few times & never had a problem but the last time we came we quickly realized that not only do they favor their locals/regulars but they are racist. The bartender Kenny kept ignoring us when we tried to order drinks instead he's chatting up with the regulars & would even walk right past us and go serve his regulars . We would have to wait almost 15 minutes just to be acknowledged. When we closed our tab we didn't tip and ol Kenny wasn't happy about that. We tried to keep it fun and even try to joke around with him but his racist side came out instead. Telling my husband by the way ,black man, that he needs to work hard to even get 25 CENTS. & I got it on video. & then he's Telling other customers we didn't tip. Very unprofessional and racist. If youre not a local/regular and aren't in their shade, they will treat you like you are beneath them. Will never come back and def will not recommend to anyone.

This is a run of the mill local dive bar. It is in a decent neighborhood. It feels cleaner and safer than a lot of dives.

This is the perfect neighborhood bar!!! A little bit of everyone migrated here. Friendly bartender @macthebartender who works on Wednesday is the best! They upgraded during the pandemic and now have more spacious seating and air conditioning/ventilation. There is a pool room and juke box for entertainment. Not to mention all the new televisions . The patrons are friendly and it's just a cool low key vibe. They don't serve food, but there is an Italian spot across the parking lot that sales pizza by the slice Aye.

Friendly staff and smells really good inside. Super clean place with clean bathrooms. Most days I've been here had a nice atmosphere. The only reason I took off stars is because they overcharged us. We got charged $14 for one drink which is a price I would expect to pay at a nice restaurant, not a dive bar. Last time we came the drinks were way cheaper so idk if it was a special but it's why we came back. We ended up paying $70 and didn't drink that much. I don't think I'll be back though. I think we got taken advantage of because we're not regulars.

Went here a couple times since I moved to the area. Worst bar I've ever been to. Were very rude to me cause I wasn't a local and even told me to leave because they were closing even though they let the locals stay after hours. Then a couple of the customers harassed me in the parking lot and when I said they didn't own the parking lot and I had the right to sit in my car the bartender came out and said I was 86ed...good riddance. Not to mention I don't do drugs and everyone was just snorting coke in the bathroom. Maybe they were just high or whatever but it was honestly and genuinely a disheartening and very undesirable experience..

Bartender for my night definitely had her favorites. Wasn't ever acknowledged, I had to speak up everytime or she wouldn't of said anything to me. And when I asked to close out, bartender completely "forgot" about me and served/closed other tabs except me. And no, it wasn't that busy.

Chill as fuck. Two pool tables, a patio, and popcorn machine. Classic Long Beach- young and old, dark, not obnoxiously loud, and super friendly to a guy like me who after 24 years in Long Beach finally came in on the way to and from the airport. The perfect place to down a few double Tito's and cran before getting on a Jet Blue flight out of town, Blondie's is now the reason my dad or my brother-in-law are willing to pick me up or drop me off so they can get a drink without their wives knowing, as long as we stick to the same "lost luggage" story.

I have lived in the LBC for well over 15 years and I have pretty much experienced every bar around, but for some reason I had never made my way to Blondie's. Well now I can officially say I came, I saw, and I conquered another lovely dive bar. Though I wouldn't really say it is a dive, it is pretty clean and very well kept together. Lots of seating, outdoor gated patio, and plenty of tvs for sports. Came in on Memorial Day in the early afternoon to a warm reception. Ended up seeing a few friends that frequent the bar and hung out and got my drank on. The bartender was great, and put up with our loud asses and a good time was had by all. Downside no food, but that is no big deal. They have a few places near them where you can purchase some grub and they do not mind if you bring it in... just clean up after yourself. Would I recommend? Yes!!! And I will be back!!! Cheers!

Best dive bar in Long Beach! Pool tournaments regularly! Drinks are poured well and the bartenders are Bomb!

First time, and poor service, it's warm inside, almost witness a fight, between a door man and a customer.(about a pulling gun with the customer) I will never be coming his place again. What a night. Thank you for messing up my date with my hubby tonight.

Love this dive in bar ! I can't wait to come back I love the atmosphere and I love the vibe that's in this bar. Nothing but happy and good times and always serving the best drinks for good prices !! And always plays the jams from oldies to now days music it changes but always good songs. I love the expansion of the place and how you can play pool more roomy and comfortable.

I'm with the 'helpful ADT crew' as most know us by. I've been coming here almost 4 years now. It's conveniently right down the street from the office and I've been taking my team here since. Great environment, great prices and free popcorn! JoJo is my girl!!! Ask her to whip you up something special and you won't be disappointed! Awesome place! I really like this local bar it has to pool tables variety of beers and other alcoholic beverages. No food period but they do have peanuts and some bags of chips. Happy hour is pretty good. They have TVs on the wall at you pool tables in the back and the Jukebox. Even though it has a locals only bar they are very friendly to newcomers

Nice set up and the customers and workers are always nice when I go to see my friends play in league night. The outdoor smoking area is great and I like how the ambience from indoors is maintained outdoors while separating the smokers from non smokers.

1 beer bar It's a little rough on the inside, biker crowd. Speakers in jukebox are blown out... You have 1 beer there, then move on... Then when you drive by it and your friends ask you, "there's Blondies, have you been there?"... "Oh, yeah I've been there." That's pretty much it.

The beer is cold but there are a lot of old people here. Older crowd and they are obnoxiously loud. I am in my 20's. These old people look like they all have known each other since high school and are having drunk bonding moments. It's not a place to relax. Very loud environment

Five stars is generous, but it is based on the place being a dive bar. If you walk in expecting upscale this is not the place for you. This review is for someone looking for a dive bar. If you want upscale bar in Long Beach go to Pine Ave and hit the Federal Bar. This place is just a great neighborhood bar. We all have those times when we don't want anything more than a beer and sports. No pretension and no need to effort over how you look. blondies is an unassuming place where you get to kick back and have some surprisingly solid brews. They don't have food, but you can order from the pizza place across the street (which is a solid but not great place itself).

Walked up to the place, very busy. Guy out front says "they serve alcohol in there ", I said "that's what Yelp says". Got a seat at the bar and was ignored. I left after 5 minutes.

A laid-back local joint with cheap drinks. To wit, two Blue Moons and two Bacardi and Cokes came to $15--I thought they'd messed up our bill. Doesn't have much of an ambiance and the crowd can seem a little rough around the edges but it's not a bad place to hang out with friends and catch a game on one of the 3 large TVs, shoot some pool, or play bad music on the juke box. I wouldn't mind visiting again.

Not only is this bar an awesome local place to come drink, the service is great as well! Jack the bartender gave us prompt and friendly service even though he was the only employee and had a full bar of customers he was tending to. We asked him to make us a shot of his choice and he did not disappoint! We will definitely be back and we look forward to seeing Jack again.

I don't really go out enough locally. Could be good or bad, but for the most part, I've missed going to Blondies enough. I've been a few times, and while every experience has been good, just never put the effort into going back. Now thats probably changed. This is the tale of two bars in one nights, and having the stark compare and contrast experience, to Dempsey's just a few blocks away, I'll be coming back to blondies more. Blondies is a dive, but has good seating, and is well decorated, with tacky, neon, posters, but it works, and actually sets a pretty good vibe. Getting there about 5, I saw a great rush of the kind of after work types come in for about two hours. The bartender (blonde) was great, and their wednesday special $3 wells was good too. I went there with a date, and we did 3 rounds of Coors Light and Whiskey and Coke. Total $19.xx. Whats better, the bartender remembered my drinks, so everytime she saw me head up to the bar, she just gave me a nod to see if I wanted the same thing and made fast work of the drinks. The patrons are regular middle class types, but all polite and friendly. It was a great place to relax and the patio was perfect for holding conversation. After that we took off to Dempsey's for what was a shocking experience, at twice the price and about 1/16th the service. This is probably what made blondies stand out finally, that you realize just how bad a local bar can be, and just how great of a job the owners and staff of blondies do, to make a welcoming dive. Yay! This is my favorite bar in long beach. I even call it "my bar" because its the only one I really go to haha and it's walking distance from where I live so I don't have to worry about drinking & driving. The bartenders are all super nice & personable. And there are drink specials every night. Plus there's an outdoor patio! So you can take your drink & go have a cig or take a refreshing break outside without having to close your tab.

We kinda stumbled upon this place, and I'm sure happy we did. It is a dive bar without being a dump! How refreshing. The place was so clean. No stale cigarette smell, no musty mildew scent went you walk in the door. Bathroom was about as spotless as it comes from women's public restrooms in general, let alone a bar. The music wasn't obnoxiously loud where you have to scream just to have a conversation with the person next to you. The bartender was super cute and extremely friendly. She was very engaging to everyone without forgetting about the non-regulars. So nice to go somewhere to have a drink and actually be able to sit there and enjoy the entire experience.

This place is soooooo cheap! We came here with some friends to celebrate a graduation of a colleague! To ensure that she leaves this place happy, I got her 3-4 drinks, along with some beers, and some nice cocktails for myself and my total tab was less than $25? WHOA? WHAT? AWESOME! Although the drinks are amazingly dirt cheap and this is a great local dive bar, it just isn't really my type of place. The crowd is a bit rough around the edges, but everyone was super nice! Did I mention that the bartender was quick and awesome? She was hot too! Thumbs up!

The Bar: This one time, about 3 years ago, I left the Orange curtain and moved to Long Beach. Blondie's was my local watering hole. This is a true neighborhood bar. Just about every patron rides a bicycle or walks here from the surrounding neighborhoods, or local University (CSULB). Located on the northwest corner of Lakewood Blvd. & Stearns Ave. The sign is bright red, so if you look hard enough, you will find it. There is a sign on the street, but the bar is behind the new complex on the corner. The outside front of this bar is unique. The smoking patio is located on the front, fenced off so that you can drink outside also. The entrance to the bar is located to the right of the patio. Once inside, you are at the bar, which when busy, everyone clutters up at the door, making it difficult to get in. The inside is a long hallway, roughly 30 feet wide wall to wall, and about 200 feet long. The bar is L-shaped seating about 20 heads, with one service station near the main entrance The left wall has about 4 tables. The patio has 6 tables, with a TV & outdoor heating. If you get hungry, check out LW Pizza directly across the parking lot. They deliver till 3am Fri & Sat. The Crowd: Given it was a Sunday night, there were about 5 people here when we arrived at 9pm. Being absent from this bar for over 3 years, I was still recognized by one of the bouncers. In all my time spent at this bar, I have never seen any confrontation, not even a minor argument. This is the most newbie friendly bar I have ever been to. Service: Starting with a pitcher of Coors light, ice cold with 2 chilled glass, service was great. 2nd time around, another pitchers, we were offered chilled glasses, but no need to dirty more glasses. Prices: Prices vary on pitchers per day. Sunday night they were $9.00. Shots of Fireball $5.00...heavy pour. Entertainment: TouchTunes Jukebox, 2 Pool Tables, Golden Tee Live, Lottery scratchers. Popcorn machine. Restroom: Set up as a single occupant at a time. Be sure to lock the door, or may find yourself in a sword fight. Relatively clean, with the classic dive bar condom machine. I sure hope no one takes those serious. If you need the number for the local Taxi, there are plenty of ads here. Bartender: Not sure what happened to the bar in last few years...back in the day, it was always beautiful female bartenders...tonight...we had John, cool guy, but with a name like Blondie's, you'd expect female bartenders. Closing statement: My favorite neighborhood bar in Long Beach and an easy walk from my best friends house, I will be frequenting this bar more often now, and I recommend you check it out too.

The two things I like about Blondie's are: 1. That awesome neon sign out front 2. Their cheap drinks ($17 for us both!) Other than that, meh. It's really just not my type.

I liked this bar...beer is cheap and the bartender girl was pretty cool and friendly. There was a pretty mixed crowd...some older guys and a group of college kids playing pool. This place had a similar vibe the Reno Room has minus the greasy smell of fried tortillas. It's kind of a long way to drive for me but I wouldn't mind going back with my friends for a few drinks.

Not a glamorous bar but none the less I find myself there after work for a splash and dash just about every day. The people are nice and the bartenders are quick and curtious. Sometimes theres food in the back but not to often, so don't expect to eat unless you go across the parking lot for subs or pizza. The shots are HUGE and the beer is cheep and always laughter.

Been going here every so often for some time now with my good friends. Good beer and service. People can get interesting at times but it's a bar and that makes it a little more fun

Aww the good ol days. Used to come here, for a cocktail and a brew. My girlfriend even tried running me over in the parking lot, after an argument. That is when I became aware of the outdoor patio, as everyone cheered her on. Nothing another beer couldn't fix.

Came into the place just to check it out. Prices are good. Atmosphere for me is just plain ol EH! Bunch of bikers and when i went there's just a bunch of drunk ass old dudes. There was also a guy who was yelling at his wifes ear...go figure. They have a lotto/scratcher machine inside though :)

Poor service, my mother in law went there and was racially discriminated by some of the clientele who go here. Good micheladas though

Don't be scared by the exterior. This place might qualify as a dive bar, but it's pretty chill. Great night with a cool staff.
