18 Atlanta Bars and Restaurants Serving Top-Notch Margaritas | Eater

"West African culinary traditions get a modern twist at this restaurant in Buckhead. After successfully launching the brand in Ghana in 2017, Atlanta became the next home for this style of cuisine. Kick off the meal with an Astral Tequila margarita while browsing the menu of Ghanaian staples. Sample crispy okra, braised oxtails, and spicy seafood fried rice, but also ask your server for recommendations if you’ve never enjoyed this type of food before." - Steven Craig Lindsey

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bloom Atlanta is a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. The moment you walk in, the vibrant ceiling of cascading pink blooms sets the mood for something special—it’s like dining in a floral dreamscape. We started with the guacamole served alongside crisp plantain and taro chips—fresh, creamy, and topped with just the right amount of diced onions and tomatoes. The presentation alone was worth snapping a photo. My cocktail was equally stunning—a delicate pink pour with a garnish so pretty it felt almost wrong to drink (almost!). For the main course, the lamb chops were cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully paired with grilled carrots, fresh cucumber, and a fragrant side of rice. The chimichurri sauce added just the right punch of freshness and heat. Service was warm, attentive, and never rushed, making it easy to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy every bite. Bloom Atlanta is one of those places where you’ll want to linger just a little longer. Highly recommend for date night, celebrations, or just because you deserve something fabulous. 🌸🍸 Michael was a fantastic server ask for him!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bloombar ATL, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor, rich culinary traditions of Africa. The cocktails were amazing, and perfect to complement the meal. The staff were exceptional—polite and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. The ambiance of the restaurant, with beautiful decor and a lively vibe was everything oh and can't forget about the music. This establishment is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of culture and hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a wonderful dining experience! ---

If the devil is in the details then Bloom is sinfully amazing. You will commit gluttony because the food is so good and the portions are just right . I can honestly say this is among the best African food in the city. The decor is great (floral arrangements on the ceiling, a sizeable patio, and super clean bathrooms), Bloom has vibes upon vibes mixed with great service. Bria was my server. She was super friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu (one would think that is a given, but it really isn't) and her recommendations were spot on. I really appreciate her clear love for the restaurant. Ask for her when you go. Food: the rib appetizer is delicious. Yes, yes, and yes! We had the hen entree- wow- which comes with a salad and rice. You will need a to go bag. We also had the seafood rice. The flavor popped on every dish. Dinner was topped off with some celebratory large slice of cake. Bonus: this was a birthday dinner. They provided a complimentary glass of champagne. Drinks: I love cocktails and they actually have a robust set of options that taste like the bartender is a real mixologist. Yummy. Parking: free (for now). 10/10 experience. If you are looking for great African- WEST African food- Bloom Bar is the place to go and Bria is the server to have.

Bloom Bar has become one of my absolute favorite spots in Atlanta. Their beef suya is unmatched and the jollof rice is full of flavor and always cooked perfectly. Every time I visit, I have to get their pornstar martini because it truly is the best in town. It is smooth, refreshing, and made consistently well each time. The staff is friendly, vibrant, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The servers are kind, attentive, and make you feel valued as a customer. The atmosphere is always lively in the best way and the energy makes the entire dining experience enjoyable. I have been four times within the last month because the service and treatment are consistently excellent. Bloom Bar continues to deliver amazing food, great drinks, and top tier hospitality. Highly recommend visiting if you want great vibes and even better food.

Everything was a 10/10! Our server Michael was attentive and knowledgeable. He made great suggestions, and ensured we were well taken care of. For drinks we tried the Golden Hour-suggested by Michael and it was delicious! For food we tried the whole grilled hen, which came with a side of Ghanaian salad and jollof rice. A good shareable portion for 2. We added sides of fried plantain as well. Everything was delicious, especially the jollof! Forgot to take pics. DJ kept the vibes flowing. Overall a great first visit. Will be back to try out more on the menu!

I arrived an hour before my party of eight so I sat at the bar and another patron suggested the spring rolls while I waited. Delicious. Once my party arrived we were seated immediately. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Some suggestions are lamb chops, Oxtail, ribs and all three spring rolls on the menu. Once we finished our meal we sat on the patio for those that wanted to do hookah. Everyone on staff I encountered was very pleasant. Before I realized it I had spent almost 6 hours at this establishment. A great time was had by all!

Update went for a fouth time for a pop up enjoyed myself but drink not that strong. Also had ordered the coconut rice which was so bland so replaced it with the vegetable fried rice which was great! Seems kelewele no longer on menu but the regular plantains portion too small. Bloom Bar has such gorgeous decor & great vibe, first time came for drinks at bar. This second time, very nice server who accommodated our expanding group to bigger a table. I had been to original in Accra many times, so I had told everyone about it! Really enjoyed the prawns great flavor with shittor, jollof good too but somewhat dry, next time I'd ask for with sauce or stew with it. Also, one in our group needed a separate check as leaving early, but they charged a 20% service fee - rather tipped server this smh, just messed up & check said take out but dined at table! That was a huge turnoff, so do fix this.

Yelp
This spot was okay. Nothing major. I was around the area and I stopped in for a drink. Depending on what type of night it is, there'll be more people on the outside patio, everything on the inside. And when I say more I mean substantially more people. I didn't try any food, just had beverage, so I can't rate that. Aside from being kind of slow, the bartender situation was okay. It shouldn't have been super slow because it was a nice night outside so everybody was out there so the ball on the inside was basically empty. Wasn't sure why there was a wait time to get somebody to have a conversation about ordering but it is what it is. Again, it was just a basic bar that had a patio in the area. So if you're looking for ambience, that'd be what this is for.

Yelp
I went to bloom bar on 7/6 with four friends and to say the least, we had a horrible experience. After the night my friend wrote a review online and they kindly invited us back on them (keep that in mind). We came back today on 7/18 and they did not keep their word. When we came in and ordered our food we showed them the message from the owner, & they claimed they understood. So we carried on and ordered our food and drinks. We ate our food, the food was about a 4/10. Drinks were good and music was nice, I won't lie. A lady came out after we were finished our meal with complimentary shots and then told my friend that they will be bringing the bill. When the bill came we were ALL charged the exact amount that even though they told us that it was on the house. It wasn't until we complained again that they decided to discount the bill. I feel like the night was a complete waste especially since I returned from out of town expecting a recovery service on the house since that's what we were promised. I am very disappointed in bloom bar and will not be returning. If they invite you out for a recovery service, do not accept as they will not stick to their word. I would not recommend this place to anybody who is expecting honesty and a good meal.
