18 Atlanta Bars and Restaurants Serving Top-Notch Margaritas | Eater

"West African culinary traditions get a modern twist at this restaurant in Buckhead. After successfully launching the brand in Ghana in 2017, Atlanta became the next home for this style of cuisine. Kick off the meal with an Astral Tequila margarita while browsing the menu of Ghanaian staples. Sample crispy okra, braised oxtails, and spicy seafood fried rice, but also ask your server for recommendations if you’ve never enjoyed this type of food before." - Steven Craig Lindsey

Chelsea was our server and she was absolutely amazing. She made sure that we were well taken care of. She made sure that we knew what was going on with our food. The food and the whole atmosphere was a vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hostess, the manager and the whole team were also equally amazing, nothing but great things to say about this place. We will definitely be back for more great times. And for the food, to the chef.... it was obsessively exceptional.

Update*** I returned and had great service and food. Management and staff hooked me up with a special. The food was quite delicious, drinks even better. I appreciate staff willing to adjust things for an enhanced experience. 02/21 - Review I want to love everything about The Bloom Bar but I have mixed feelings. I had a great evening attending a Galantines event for a ladies social club on 2/13 and it was a vibe. I didn’t eat (just drank) so I can’t rate the food, but the ambience was nice (a bit cramped for the social mixer with the tables and chairs). My 2nd time at this restaurant was 2/22. I had a reservation for a party of two, but when we got there the whole restaurant was booked out for a private party. Cool, but why have the reservations open to book same day? The hostess mentioned they canceled all reservations for the evening but I can attest there was no communication on my end around the cancellation. That actually made me a bit sour and prompted me to write this review. Beautiful ambience but I’d really love to experience the food. With better logistics and communications, I would’ve let it slide but I was already there at the door (bummer). Willing to update this review once I can actually make it in to dine.

Everything was a 10/10! Our server Michael was attentive and knowledgeable. He made great suggestions, and ensured we were well taken care of. For drinks we tried the Golden Hour-suggested by Michael and it was delicious! For food we tried the whole grilled hen, which came with a side of Ghanaian salad and jollof rice. A good shareable portion for 2. We added sides of fried plantain as well. Everything was delicious, especially the jollof! Forgot to take pics. DJ kept the vibes flowing. Overall a great first visit. Will be back to try out more on the menu!

We decided to try Bloombar for a girls night out and to celebrate a couple birthdays....and it was the PERFECT choice!! The decor is gorgeous, atmosphere was a vibe, the food was so delicious and service was impeccable! Our server Bria was very welcoming & served us with a constant smile on her face! She even got the chef to comp a dessert for our table! We got to try a little of everything appetizers I especially enjoyed the salmon escovitch & prawns. We also ordered the Branzino, Cauliflower Curry and the Seafood Fried Rice...it was all cooked to perfection. Bloombar has only been open a couple months so definitely go support this restaurant and ask for Bria, you won't regret it!

Bloom Bar has become one of my absolute favorite spots in Atlanta. Their beef suya is unmatched and the jollof rice is full of flavor and always cooked perfectly. Every time I visit, I have to get their pornstar martini because it truly is the best in town. It is smooth, refreshing, and made consistently well each time. The staff is friendly, vibrant, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The servers are kind, attentive, and make you feel valued as a customer. The atmosphere is always lively in the best way and the energy makes the entire dining experience enjoyable. I have been four times within the last month because the service and treatment are consistently excellent. Bloom Bar continues to deliver amazing food, great drinks, and top tier hospitality. Highly recommend visiting if you want great vibes and even better food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bloombar ATL, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor, rich culinary traditions of Africa. The cocktails were amazing, and perfect to complement the meal. The staff were exceptional—polite and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. The ambiance of the restaurant, with beautiful decor and a lively vibe was everything oh and can't forget about the music. This establishment is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of culture and hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a wonderful dining experience! ---

I love this place! I’ve been a number of times and it never fails! Big shout out to that bartender from london with the beard. When I saw him working there I knew this place must be special. (I’ve seen him at some pretty high value places around the city) Makes the absolute best drinks in the city! I usually sit at a table and have the server for him to just make me something. This Saturday was truly amazing! I love watching him work, the way he moves and his care. This place is a vibe. Beautiful staff AMAZING cocktails. Best I’ve ever had (ask for love in a glass) and great food! 10/10

Yelp
This spot was okay. Nothing major. I was around the area and I stopped in for a drink. Depending on what type of night it is, there'll be more people on the outside patio, everything on the inside. And when I say more I mean substantially more people. I didn't try any food, just had beverage, so I can't rate that. Aside from being kind of slow, the bartender situation was okay. It shouldn't have been super slow because it was a nice night outside so everybody was out there so the ball on the inside was basically empty. Wasn't sure why there was a wait time to get somebody to have a conversation about ordering but it is what it is. Again, it was just a basic bar that had a patio in the area. So if you're looking for ambience, that'd be what this is for.

Yelp
I went to bloom bar on 7/6 with four friends and to say the least, we had a horrible experience. After the night my friend wrote a review online and they kindly invited us back on them (keep that in mind). We came back today on 7/18 and they did not keep their word. When we came in and ordered our food we showed them the message from the owner, & they claimed they understood. So we carried on and ordered our food and drinks. We ate our food, the food was about a 4/10. Drinks were good and music was nice, I won't lie. A lady came out after we were finished our meal with complimentary shots and then told my friend that they will be bringing the bill. When the bill came we were ALL charged the exact amount that even though they told us that it was on the house. It wasn't until we complained again that they decided to discount the bill. I feel like the night was a complete waste especially since I returned from out of town expecting a recovery service on the house since that's what we were promised. I am very disappointed in bloom bar and will not be returning. If they invite you out for a recovery service, do not accept as they will not stick to their word. I would not recommend this place to anybody who is expecting honesty and a good meal.
