Where to Eat in London This Weekend | London Restaurant Recommendations | Eater London

"A modern pie shop that forgoes traditional mince-and-liquor fare in favour of bold, well-filled pies with rich, buttery pastry reflecting London’s diverse flavours. Notable pies include a Hakka lamb with carrots and rosemary served with minty mushy peas and thick-cut chips, a creamy chicken-and-chestnut-mushroom Royal Victoria with a crisp puff lid, and the Cox’s Bazaar — chicken and baked beans in a bhut jolokia-spiked sauce tempered by coriander and melted cheese. Value is strong when paying cash (a £20 card minimum can be inconvenient), as every pie comes with two sides." - Shekha Vyas

Bloom Café has become a special part of my morning routine. After dropping my son off at school, I love stopping by before starting my workday. The coffee is consistently the best rich, smooth, and always perfectly made. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, with a friendly vibe that makes it easy to relax or settle in. It’s the kind of place where you can feel both refreshed and at home. Highly recommend!

We visited here yesterday, came just after they opened so it wasn’t busy there was only one other couple dining in. The staff were polite and greeted us and asked us to sit where the 2 seated tables are, in this area the tables are quite close to each other and if you order few things the table is quite small, the choice of chairs also makes it very difficult to get in and out without pushing the whole table out and in again when you sit down. While we were waiting for our food two ladies came in (think regulars) and sat on the 4 seated table opposite us, I just think that the staff should’ve been consistent and given us that option too instead of instructing us to sit in a specific table. The food came out 15-20 minutes after ordering which is what they said, the food was nice and the presentation of the hot drinks were good too. Staff were generally friendly and gave good customer service.

The fact I'm still here as I write this review! This is one of the BEST brunch places in East london hands down. From the atmosphere to the food to the service to the prices, everything was amazing! The pie was fresh and delicious and so was the American breakfast. We will definitely return. Adels customer service was great!

Absolutely recommend this spot. Food’s a proper 10/10, the atmosphere’s lovely, and the service was brilliant. We had the eggs royale, full English and pancakes, plus a flat white and a latte. Everything was bang on. Cheers!

Food is always consistently great! Lovely place to meet up with friends for breakfast/brunch! The one star less is because Iced coffee is weak and needs some work! But other than that a go to!

We went on a Friday afternoon for a late brunch. It wasn’t too busy, which made it a nice and quiet experience. The atmosphere and interior were lovely, and when we walked in, the staff were very welcoming, which instantly made us feel comfortable. The food was good and definitely value for money. Service was on the slower side considering how empty it was, but overall enjoyable. I’d come again to try different options on the menu. Side road parking is available for those with a permit, though I’m not sure if there’s a pay-and-park option nearby.

You’re spoilt for choice in London for food places but this cafe was recommended by quite a lot of people so I had to give it a try! The decor is nice and homely and the staff are very welcoming. The chap who served us was very helpful and polite. The eggs Benedict were very nice and I have no complaints. The highlight for me was the royal Victoria pie which was cooked to perfection. Chicken and mushroom pie accompanied by gravy sauce and sweet potato fries, it was something like I’ve never tasted before. Would definitely recommend to all however the only thing I would say is the place is on the small side so expect to be waiting for a table during busy hours!

I’ve been here a few times, and today I went in for a full English breakfast. The service from the front-of-house staff was fantastic, and the place is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.
