We were out holiday shopping, and decided to stop for brunch before a day filled with errands. We were headed to another local place, but decided to try Bloom.
We both found the food to be underwhelming, and lacking in taste and quality.
We ordered a chai with oat milk with a bourbon brown sugar add to sweeten it. It was good.
The blueberry lemon scone was slightly bready, but was tasty. The glaze was a tasty addition.
This is where things go downhill.
The Dutchman was supposed to be filled with bacon, turkey, arugula, green apple, provolone, sun dried tomato aioli, on focaccia. Sounds delicious doesn't it?!?
There was barely any meat, or other ingredients. The only item was far too much arugula, and the focaccia was dry.
The BLET- bacon, lettuce, egg, and tomato. We weren't asked how we wanted the egg cooked, and it was well done, not done well. The bacon was overcooked, hard, and like the rest of the sandwich mediocre.
Sandwiches come with a choice of hash browns or potatoes. I had to ask what the potatoes are. They are diced/ cubed fried potatoes. We both ordered them, and we both found them to be soft, salty, and missing that external crispness.
You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table. The seating is poorly arranged, and isn't inviting or comfortable.
When our food was delivered I asked for condiments, and was told to go get it on my own. It was rude.
There is also the expectation to bus your table, but they don't wipe the tables down. Gross.
The meal was pricey, and it's not a place that I'd recommend.
