I was really excited for my first trip to Bloom after I received a cute birthday gift from a friend, unfortunately, I will never go back.
First, if I am going to be spending $100+ on a t-shirt I would hope to not be trying it on in a cramped bathroom where the toilet is broken.
Second, if it is asked of you if you would price match an item that was significantly marked up (based on the designer's site) when it is found to be $30 less expensive, a proper sales associate or as the owner of the shop could just respond with a yes or no answer vs. lecturing about how coats at the shop sell out every year. Additionally, what happened to the 'customer is always right'? We were scolded and told that we were wrong and that the jacket was not the same. Thank you, I have a college education and retail experience, I am more than capable of matching the sku's and designer.
Third, when my friends and I are having a conversation about necklaces, I would not think that it would be appropriate to interrupt when you were not invited into the conversation to tell us that you had the necklace from the designer before South Moon Under. I bought the necklace 5 years ago and am sure the designer or similar necklaces exist at places of business other than yours. I would prefer to purchase this at South Moon Under based on the customer experience and service level vs. Bloom any day of the week.
