Orange County's 12 Hottest Restaurants

"Located across from Mission San Juan Capistrano and occupying a historic post office, Bloom Restaurant & Bar is the latest addition to Russ Bendel’s restaurant empire that includes Sapphire in Laguna Beach, Olea, and Ironwood. Bendel recently moved to San Juan Capistrano and was eager to bring the same kind of neighborhood watering hole to his new hometown. Chef-partner Jared Cook prepares a rustic menu that includes country-fried prime hanger steak, sweet corn succotash, and a homey applewood smoked bacon-wrapped meatloaf." - Jenn Tanaka

5 stars around for this wonderful restaurant. The interior is wonderful, but the view on the Old Stone Church at Mission San Juan Capistrano is priceless. We sat in the area that is sunken under the sidewalk, with wide open windows looking on the ruins of the church. The food was outstanding. We had a lovely strawberry caprese salad and the bourbon duck liver pate plate for appetizers. I had the chef special shrimp ravioli in a lovely lemon cream sauce with heirloom tomatoes. My parents both got the bacon wrapped meatloaf. Perhaps the best highlight, though, was the service. I want to give a shout-out to our server, Clerisa. I was at the restaurant with my parents (both in their mid-80s). Clerisa (as were the rest of the attentive staff) was wonderful the entire time, but the tip of the cap goes to her graciously giving us an incredible desert (on the house). It was amazing ice cream (I'm guessing from McConnell's), topped with lovely chocolate cookie crumbs, caramel, and a mint leaf. Again, 5 stars around!

We have been a fan of Iron Wood in our neighborhood then Sapphire with the new ownership but didn't realize The Bloom is also one of them. Any way we went out lastnight and had a great time. My salmon was cooked perfectly, supper hot with a thin layer of crispiness without being dry, moist and flavored. The succotash was just right. I didn't taste other dishes from my hubby and friends so cant tell but they finished their plates and enjoyed them. However, i did get to taste a fried zucchini blossom was very good, and the crispy brussel sprouts with pork belly was delicious. Our waitress and service were great. Keep up the quality and creativities!🙏

Food was great, service was great, ambiance was great, with a beautiful view of the mission. Highly recommend this restaurant. Michal was very welcoming, quick to get our drinks going, just the right amount of attentive. The drink choices were all great. "The vodka drink" was delicious! For dinner, the sea bass was very flavorful!! Gem salad was great too. Chicken sandwich was very juicy and big portioned.

We went here this last Friday for my dad's birthday dinner. We sat in a large booth for six people, which created a really nice, intimate vibe. They also have really large windows, which invites an indoor, outdoor feel. Our server, Daren, was super attentive, nice, and eligible. We ordered that liver pate, focaccia bread, and ricotta gnocchi for starters. If you love pasta and pork belly, I highly recommend the ricotta gnocchi. I could have ordered this for my main dish! Unfortunately, I didn't love my main dish, I ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf, I just felt like the meatloaf was a little dry. But it came side of truffle Mac and cheese, which was perfectly flavored and not overly cheesy. I also tried my boyfriend's rib eye which we both loved. We also had a cake for my dad in the back which they brought out and lit candles, they also had their own little dessert ice cream they gave us. Overall had a great time. This place is also located in a fun area, right across the mission, and next to a few dive bars. Also across the street from the train tracks if you want to walk around for a glass of wine, dessert or something more casual after.

We decided to try Bloom for lunch, drawn in by its beautiful ambiance and lively reputation. The restaurant itself is stunning, with a great vibe that feels upscale and special even in the middle of the day. The service was also pretty good and attentive, which was a definite positive. However, the experience came with a hefty price tag, which unfortunately set expectations that the meal didn't consistently meet. There were definitely some enjoyable moments. The carrot bisque soup to start was a genuine highlight; flavorful, velvety, and expertly prepared. It was a delicious opening to the meal that showed real promise. Unfortunately, navigating the rest of the menu proved challenging. Many of the dishes feature very "fancy" or complex variations, with numerous ingredients in each item. This made it quite difficult to find options that could easily accommodate food allergies without feeling like we were deconstructing the entire dish. For my main, I opted for the Wagyu Burger. It was a good, solid burger, but it wasn't the amazing, memorable experience you'd hope for, especially given the premium price for a lunch item. It fell a bit short of justifying its cost. Overall, our feelings about Bloom are mixed. It’s a beautiful setting with good service and some definite culinary bright spots, but the "super expensive" nature of the menu creates a high bar. Given the good-but-not-great main course and the difficulty with the menu's complexity, the value just wasn't there for us. We enjoyed parts of our meal, but we're not in a rush to return.

My husband and I visited Bloom for our 14 year anniversary and were blown away by the service and the food. It is clear that the owners of this restaurant have a high standard for service and we felt as though we were regulars rather than first timers, being treated like family but with the utmost respect. Every person we interacted with knew it was our anniversary and wished us well. We were given a free appetizer, free desert and two glasses of champagne. On top of all this, the food was amazing. My husband and I love high quality menus like this. We enjoyed the stuffed zucchini flowers, Pork belly and Pumpkin gnocchi, the sea bass entree and a special lamb chop entree..... incredible. I can't wait to return and try more on this menu. A special thanks for making our evening extra special.

We are long time fans of Ironwood. Decided to try Bloom for brunch and it did not disappoint. We’ll be back for the pork belly Benedict.

Yelp
My guy Hoover... the hospitality... that smile. Top notch. I am here for anything he is says is amazing. It is. Hoover tells no lies. Recommend 10 of 10.

Yelp
Bloom is a well put together date night restaurant in San Juan Capistrano directly across from the Mission where the old Deidrich's coffee used to be. It is semi-subterranean as it sits below street level, with big open windows and high ceilings. They maximize their seating space with a small bar and very upright booths, but they provide pillows to make the booths more comfortable, which I loved. Our host and server were quick, well informed and pleasant. Food timing was very well handled. We came on a Sunday night with no reservation as a party of two and were easily seated. An approachable, wine and drinks list with appropriate prices made drink selection easy. We chose half a dozen oysters, which had a delicious mignonette and were excellent quality. The ceviche - which unfortunately said shrimp and bass but was 90% shrimp - had a lovely citrus flavor. We also had the chicken, which was literally half a chicken on a very savory bed of kale and onions with a nice caper sauce. Three glasses of wine and three menu items came to $120 which is standard pricing for how we order. This is definitely more of an adult and date night place with a slightly coastal steakhouse vibe. We enjoyed our meal and will come back again at a future date.

Yelp
Beautiful brick building, occupying an active location, situated on the corner with Mission San Juan Capistrano directly across the street. I love the atmosphere, the big, open windows giving the place an indoor/outdoor, airy... vacation-y feel. Given its tourist-y location, I was impressed that we were immediately warmly greeted and welcomed, seated in a fun location offering lots of people-watching (despite our first choice, to be seated in the bar, was unavailable). The busser was professional, efficient, and extremely attentive, bringing us water shortly after being seated and refilling our glasses, as needed. We were truly enjoying ourselves, planning to relax and take our time (perhaps starting with a cocktail and appetizer, before moving on to entrees), taking in the pretty weather, change of scenery, and new (to us) dining destination. There came a time, though, that we'd realized that our server hadn't even greeted us -- yet our water glasses had kindly been refilled a couple of times. Then, I'd noticed one table after another being seated after us -- the 3rd couple seated happened to be across from us (since we'd watched the previous party enjoy their meal, finish, and leave). When I'd excused myself to wash my hands, I'd noticed the 2 parties seated after us already had their cocktails. I'm not easily annoyed, but when a server (who we'd realized was ours, too) had greeted the table across from us, shortly after they were seated, then I became irritated. Our server finally came around, but lacked the friendliness and professionalism that the hostess and busser had. Given the wait, we ended up ordering everything up front; fortunate for us, because our server never checked on us -- until the end. The food presentation was attractive; our entrees were fine, but nothing that either of us longed to necessarily have, again. Of course food is a big part, but service can make it or break it for me; wish we could've had a different server: the hostess, the busser, or the server that we'd noticed helping other tables.

Yelp
I've been here for just cocktails, but came back for dinner with friends. The waitress and bartenders are always helpful and really friendly. It's a small intimate space, so tables can be hard to get on the weekend, reservations would be recommended. For food, we ordered the salmon which had a good glaze on it, as well as the wedge salad with chicken. We were surprised by how much chicken came with this! Some of the appetizers were pretty pricey for what they were but I would come back here. I'd love to try the bacon wrapped meatloaf because several tables ordered it and it looked great.

Yelp
This restaurant was highly recommended and we finally had a chance to try it and loved everything about it. We brought a very expensive bottle of wine and were only charged a $20 corkage. The mixologist's Sasparilla bourbon was delicious to start. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and excited out the menu, as were we. The pork belly and butternut squash gnocchi was a huge hit along with the meatloaf but we all truly enjoyed everything we ordered.
google avatar

Peggy O.

Yelp
Blown away by this menu and the variety of delicious foods. For the 4 of us we ordered 4 appetizers and 2 main courses. (And desserts) The chef puts a nice spin on her dishes with interesting touches ---great tastes without heavy sauces - you could really experience the great dishes . Cannot recommend enough!!

Yelp
What a wonderful Sunday brunch. I ordered the veggie omelette, it was good but not a fan of fava beans. Also got the mimosas that had boba at bottom, delicious. The service was amazing also. Greeted upon arrival by hostess and another gentleman. Seated right away, had a reservation. Throughout our meal we were asked if we needed anything, not over the top just right. Pretty quaint semi loud noise level but it was a Sunday brunch. Also nice view of San Juan Capistrano from our table

Yelp
Such delicious food, healthy with a touch of fusion. Our waiter Ryan was amazing, he knew the menu inside and out to even ingredients in the dishes we were interested in, very knowledgeable and provided and amazing service! We loved it and will definitely go back!

Yelp
This may be one of the best restaurants in Old Town SJC. The food was SO good. Loved the ambiance, the menu, and our friendly waitress Clariese who took great care of us! Very relaxing vibe here. We will be back!
google avatar

Shabi M.

Yelp
The hostess was very nice and seated us at a lovely booth. The food was good, but we like Ironwood better, which is a sister restaurant. The overall service was good, but the food was served very late. We sat there for more than 40 minutes after ordering. When I asked Chelsey, our waitress, to check on the food and mentioned that it had been a while, she asked if that was the only thing we needed. I was about to say yes, our food. She could have been more understanding of the time we had been waiting for the food.

Yelp
Went to Bloom tonight for my best friend's birthday and had an amazing time! Our server Chelsea was not only dynamic and super knowledgeable, but also very kind and accommodating. She brought us complimentary shots at the end which really topped off our special night! Also cheers to the entire wait staff and especially the busser Ethan, what a kind young man. Way to go Bloom on an incredible new addition to San Juan. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Amazing!!!!! Hoover was insane.. we sat at the bar and had the best experience and service that we have had in a very long time. He gave us honest review of the menu (per our tastes) and the recommendations were epic!! Thank you Hoover!!

Yelp
$58.19 (food: healthy farmers market vegetable scramble, warm artisan rosemary focaccia bread, bloom breakfast - drinks: beer) A business right on the corner with plenty of people watching from any window. The restaurant is cozy, clean, welcoming and tastefully decorated around the placement of aged brick. I enjoyed this space with some good company. We ordered our brunch from a serveuse, a waitress of high quality. She treated us with a smile and genuine care to the position she was entrusted. We teased our palates with foccacia bread and some delicious whipped honey butter. Soon after, we dived into our respectful meals. I really enjoyed the scramble. I felt like I made a wise and healthy decision. My brunch mate enjoyed her bloom breakfast. As you can tell, I really enjoyed this place and plan to come back for seconds. Oh p.s. - You know how you can have a grand day and incorporate Bloom? Take the Amtrak Surfliner - enjoy not driving and views along the route - and walk just a few minutes from the track to Bloom. You'll feel all sorts of bliss!

Yelp
Good food, good cocktails, good service, beautiful ambiance and location in the heart of old town San Juan directly across from the Mission. Prices are a bit high in general. $200 for 2 appetizers, 1 salad, 1 main course and 3 cocktails.

Yelp
Super cute place. Great location ( downtown by the mission). Nichole our server was great - should have listened to her recommendations maybe we would have had a better outcome. Food was under seasoned. Specialty cocktails were interesting but not very good. Had the zucchini blossom app which needed salt. The pork chop, was under cooked and was smothered a sauce that tasted like ketchup. Grits had an odd flavor and no seasoning. The bread was good but cut thick so was on the dry side. The food and drinks look amazing. The place is super cute. Such a bummer.

Yelp
What a great place! We had the pleasure of having Hilary as our waitress -- and she was just the absolute BEST! Went above and beyond, and so kind and intelligent! The atmosphere was amazing, sun coming in, windows open, couldn't ask for more! The food was perfect and delicious. We came with our two kids and they also finished all their food. Just the perfect mix. All we can say -- great food, great vibes, great service.

Yelp
We ate here for the first time Monday night for my friends bday and it was perfect. The bread is absolutely insane and we ate two orders of it. I had the burger and fries and it was delicious. My friends had the seabass, Mac and cheese and they all loved their meals. The staff was friendly and attentive and even brought out shots for the birthday along with a little dessert. We will definitely come back and I highly recommend this spot to anyone in south county looking for a good vibe and good food
google avatar

Yelp
We came here on a date night - it was amazing!!! Service was wonderful from all angles. So many choices but we both settled on the meatloaf, but prepared differently and they fully accommodated. The Mac & Cheese is legendary! We didn't know they were part of other restaurants in our area (like Ironwood) and explained the familiar feels but unique food. Definitely returning.

Yelp
We love this place ! Thank you Josh for your continued excellence ! We will continue to support this amazing establishment. The staff, the food, and the location could not be ANY better !! This is San Juan's finest !

Yelp
Beautiful building and view of the Mission. Friendliest bartenders in SJC. We just stopped in for drinks and a bite. We had their ceviche, which was fresh and delicious. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
What a great find! If your in San Juan Capistrano (or close by) this is a great restaurant! The location is great, parking is easy and the service is the BEST! I had the BLT with avocado, which is really good. The other meals at the table were, Ceviche which was very good, as well as the salmon with salad which was also very good. Everything going by looked just as good. We happened to be with an elderly couple who had trouble hearing, so I asked if the music could be turned down. To which the owner, (which I asked) said "Absolutely" and immediately turned it down until we left. This is a great place.
google avatar

Yelp
When here for brunch and it was great. Service was great and the food was really good. Had the smoke salmon omelette and the lemon waffles. Would definitely go back again.
google avatar

Jenesa B.

Yelp
A reservation is best I feel to get a spot here. It does get busy in the evening. I didn't catch our server's name, but he was a very attentive person and was so patient with all our orders. A nice young man with a great attitude. We were a party of 9 & he took all of orders and even separated our checks. It's best to let them know you want separate checks when you are about to order your food. The ambiance was beautiful. I loved the atmosphere. Yes it was loud but in a good way. It's very feel good vibes. The food was very yummy and I had ordered the American wagyu burger with herb fries. The burger was massive I could only eat half and the fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had an great time here and definitely coming back!
google avatar

Nate P.

Yelp
Came for brunch and couldn't have been happier. It was a lovely day and we sat by one of the open windows. The service was aces and food was even better. Might be hard to get in though I think someone in our party made a reservation. I ended up with the classic chicken fried steak and eggs. Might have been one of the best I've ever had. The steak was delicious and had some good seasoning or marinade. It was super crispy as well. Potato's we're excellent too. Whole plate was top notch. We also got an order of the focaccia which had the best honey butter to go with it. If any of their lunch or dinner food is like the brekky I'd have every meal here for a day. Parking can be tricky on a weekend but it's not worth it if you don't have to work a little
google avatar

Amy G.

Yelp
We had a birthday dinner here this past Saturday and what a pleasant surprise it was. The ambiance, service, and food is amazing. I don't have a single complaint about this place. Make sure to make a reservation because they are busy but do take the time to give this restaurant your business. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Hello Fellow Yelpers My girlfriend and I are trying all 6 restaurants owned by this company. So far, we have tried Ironwood Cellars and Olea, which we both absolutely loved. We went to Bloom the other day, and here is our review. Love the openess and decorations. The hostess was so sweet and got a table for us quickly. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and really attentive. I tried the applewood bacon wrapped meatloaf with truffle Mac n cheese with wild mushrooms and sherry reduction, I did not care for anything on this plate except the vegetables. There was very little flavor in the meatloaf and in my opinion it was bland. My friend had the Pan roasted Idaho rainbow trout with organic farrow, sweet corn and piquillo pepper succotash tangerine-dill gastrique. She also did not like her dish. She said nothing worked with each other to make the flavors work. The waitress did feel bad that we did not have a good experience and did give us some vanilla Gelato with carmel sauce and cookie crumble. No worries, we are now looking forward to trying Vine, Sapphire and The Pantry. Delicious eating adventures await ... Remember to do random acts of kindness as it will make everyone feel wonderful Happy Yelping and please follow me for more awesome reviews

Yelp
Go see Hoover! Best bartender and food! The meatloaf hands down! The service was exceptional!!

Yelp
We came to Bloom's to celebrate a friends birthday. She chose Blooms because she really enjoys Bone Marrow and it is not an easy thing to find. She really enjoyed her dish, while I got the mexi-Cali burger. I'm not going to go as far to say it was the best burger I have ever had, but it was really good. Excellent flavor, it was big, and came with a large pile of fries. The service here was pretty incredible, and the restaurant was beautiful inside. I will be back and I'll recommend this place to everyone know
google avatar

Bree A.

Yelp
Bloom Restaurant was absolutely phenomenal! From the unique flavors of the bone marrow to the mouthwatering Wagyu burger, every dish was delicious! The wedge salad and fried blossoms were also outstanding. And the cocktails--chefs kiss! The over the top mezcal and whiskey bonfire cocktails were the perfect addition to our meal. Huge thanks to Brianna, our attentive and helpful server. The ambiance, with its charming brick and windows, really added to the experience. Overall, a solid 10/10 for both the food and the vibe!

Yelp
Our first time here and it definitely want be our last!! This place is such a beautiful rustic restaurant! We came here for brunch and we're glad we did, the service and food was amazing!! And you can't beat the beautiful surroundings, located in San Juan, where there's many choices of eateries, but I am glad we came here! This restaurant has so much charm, the windows open out to streets while dining, with the view of old town San Juan, love it! We're already planning on dining here again soon!
google avatar

shirley w.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday evening and was surprised that it wasn't busy at all! Only a few tables occupied... Food are delicious just like the rest of the group chains restaurants. My favorite is their Brussels sprouts with pork belly- sweet and savory! My son loves their bone marrow appetizer. Their ribeye is always so good! Will definitely come back to try other items!
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
Bloom! We are never disappointed when we come for dinner here. Even date night with our daughter she requests Bloom. I've tried oysters all over south Orange County and they have the best in my opinion. Delicious Mahi Mahi special. My husband loves the meatloaf. Great service, friendly atmosphere, and beautiful view of the mission with the windows open.

L B.

Yelp
Loved the appetizers here. The service was top notch, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly too. Located across from the old mission in San Juan Capistrano, a corner spot with open windows and great views. I found the items to be pricey though. The quality and fusion of flavors was well done but each of the 4 meals had a drawback. The truffle Mac n cheese was super grainy? The meatloaf crumbled and was dry but drenched in a mushroom sauce to disguise that. The fish of the day excellent! The veggies it was served on not very well prepared. The Mexicali burger was good but not great. The only satisfied one of us ordered the chicken on mashed potatoes but said it was not worth coming back for - considering the price paid. Would visit again just for appetizers and drinks at the bar, but not for a dining experience.
google avatar

Dorothy P.

Yelp
Average at best unless you frequent the spot and everyone knows you. The waitress was inattentive and seemed more interested in spending most of her time talking to other tables. We had to ask multiple times for things. Food was unremarkable. Had the salmon omelet and waffles. The salmon omelet was salty but other than that, it was fine. Manager seemed to talk to some of the tables around us but made zero effort when it came to our table.

Dulce F.

Yelp
Brianna is a super talented waitress. She's beyond attentive and knows her menu very well. The Expedia provided by Briana and team was splendid.

Vince B.

Yelp
Our whole family was together and we really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The service was terrific, the waitress explained the dishes well. I had the Osso Buco, my son said the Chicken piccata was the best chicken he's ever had, my other two kids devoured the Waygu burgers, and my wife loved the trout dish. The appetizers were incredible, the Mac n cheese on the cast iron, with truffle, and the cauliflower garlic infused w Manchego cheese was amazing and unique. We'll be back. It was excellent.
google avatar

Brooke B.

Yelp
Had the best tequila cocktail! The service was amazing Hoover was our bartender and we will definitely be back !
google avatar

Angela E.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant but definitely not the last!! I love the wide open feeling with large booths and open windows - feels like a patio but without being outdoors. Caleb was our waiter today and we absolutely loved him. Very knowledgeable about the menu and great recommendations. He was around enough but not too much - the perfect waiter! We started brunch with a round of Daily Affirmations - the best drink ever!! Vodka, Prosecco, lavender and lemon - served with passion fruit boba! Amazing!! I had the farmers market vegetable scramble with focaccia and fresh fruit - delicious. My friend had the lemon Meyer waffles - beautiful and delicious. This has become our new place to catch up. There is literally not a thing that disappointed. So glad we tried Blooms - and we'll be back!!
google avatar

Yelp
Bloom is a very good choice for upscale casual dining. The food is above average for the price. I rate the service as excellent. There were four of us seated in a comfortable booth by the windows. My friend and I had the shrimp and pasta dish a generous portion with a delicious butter sauce. My other friends ordered the pork chop which they really liked. I had the duck livers which were also beautifully prepared and my friends had the pork belly with brussel sprouts for appetizers. For dessert we really enjoyed the cheesecake. Best dish of the evening. This was my second visit to Bloom. The parking behind the restaurant is available free and convenient.

Yelp
The menu is very mustard forward. I have a mustard allergy. I have to go there for dinner tonight and I was afraid I was going to have to order french fries and soup. (I had a less than stellar experience a year ago when we came for a birthday dinner here and they said they could make adjustments for me and I ended up with a piece of dry fish and a lemon wedge brought from the bar). Fast fwd I went in early ahead of the birthday dinner group and managed to speak to Kyle the manager about by concern & not wanting to make it a big deal at the table when ordering e the group, I was able to pre-order, and Kyle was able to work with the kitchen. I got an absolutely fabulous dinner that didn't feel like I had to compromise because of my mustard allergy. Impeccable service from all staff, a concienscious good server who did not miss a single detail, and was happy to plate and serve a cake we brought from an outside bakery with no grumbling, leftovers were boxed and labeled, and when you have an allergy, that's important! She was fabulous. Kyle's follow up was fabulous. The cocktails were fabulous thank goodness I don't have to write this restaurant off because of MUSTARD. I now know with a little work on the front end in advance he can prep the kitchen to accommodate diners like me. Well done. Our birthday dinner group was well cared for and we will return.

Yelp
Another 5 stars! Everytime, great service, great food and cool view of a real mission. Hilary is the best. One star for not seeing Kyle. He's so dreamy.....

Yelp
This was my first time there, meeting a friend to celebrate their birthday. Love the location and inside is beautiful. We sat at the bar and got the ceviche appetizer and drinks were perfectly balanced and delicious. Our bartender Hoover was amazing, making recommendations along the way. We both got chicken dishes and they were great! I can't wait to go back again.
google avatar

Mira Y.

Yelp
First time here. Ironwood, their sister restaurant is near my home. Bloom has a similar feel and menu. It was nice to support a local restaurant close to home. It's a great location and there's plenty of parking. Food: Sat at the bar and ordered the pate appetizer. If you like pate, grilled bread, apricot compote, mustard and cornichons, you will enjoy this shareable plate. Drinks: Nice Hendricks Gin Martini and wine. Service: Great. Loved meeting Hoover, our bartender. Everyone was nice and greeted us right away. I enjoyed having another place to, add this to your list of restaurants to try or on your bar hopping adventures in San Juan!

Yelp
Super solid menu and drinks. It is a breath of fresh air for downtown San Juan and I'm very excited. I have already been there three times since they opened. The bone marrow is a hit. All the servers and Bartenders have been friendly and professional. I think the prices are very reasonable too! It's a busy place, so make a reservation!

Yelp
Went for a birthday celebration with family and friends early yesterday afternoon. I loved the look of the space, enjoyed the music playing in the background, and savored the food (from the BLT to smoked salmon and omelette, to the ceviche and pork benedict, including a surprisingly delicious pistachio cheesecake with raspberry sauce -yum!). Our server was extremely attentive and made sure we had all we needed. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
We have patronized this company's sister restaurants Vine, Sapphire and Ironwood for years. We have always had excellent service and food at these other locations. Bloom is the worst of these locations. Mediocre service and managers who never talk to the customers to make sure everything is fine. The Saturday afternoon manager looks above everyone's heads. Even with reservations we waited 35 minutes and they have no waiting area so you have to stand if you don't want to sit at the bar. No apology from anyone for the wait! We have tried it 3 times since it opened and always get overcooked food. Whoever owns this company, please encourage Bloom to get its act together like the others.

Yelp
We had a fantastic meal with prompt friendly service. The manager stopped in and couldn't have been more pleasant and welcoming. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. The food was fresh and full of flavor. Started with warm grilled to perfection focaccia bread. Our meals were the BLTs, Bloom Breakfast, and Waygu hamburger. All 3 were enjoyed and the herb fries were devoured. Eat them while hot! It took me a year to try this place even though I live less than 5 minutes away. We will no doubt be regulars. Well done Bloom!

Yelp
Great food. The wedge salad is amazing and I usually don't even like blue cheese. All dishes I've had are good. Service is quick and attentive. It is dark inside in the evening but nice. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
First time here, blown away by the food and drinks. Service was attentive, location is downtown SJC across from the mission. We had the Ortega cocktail and the mocktail, both were amazing. We never got to the entrees as we indulged on appetizers and a salad. salmon salad was amazing with great flavor. Apps included Crispy Pork Belly Gnocchi, Crispy Zucchini Flowers with Manchego Cheese and the warm Rosemary Focaccia bread. The flavors were out of this world. Highly recommended. Dessert was dark chocolate fleur de sel cookie crumble.
