Detroit Biggest Restaurant and Bar Openings to Know, August 2025 | Eater Detroit

"A fresh nightlife destination in the northwest suburbs reimagines the former Paradise Ultra Lounge with plush, velvet seating, faux greenery, and neon lighting aimed at “sexy hospitality,” plus approachable bites — pizzas, a smash burger, hot honey chicken sliders, and wings — and a speakeasy-style bar slated to debut later." - Jeffy Mai

Very nice lounge to attend any day of the week. The food is amazing, ambience is very nice & the service hasn’t let me down yet. Taylor was my waitress last time and she was phenomenal. I’d sit in her section every time given the choice! There is an Hour & 30min limit on tables reserved. So if you’re done eating and drinking; after that time they expect you to move around. Not necessarily leave but provide an opportunity for others to sit and eat. If there a drawback I’d say it’s that.

The food was delicious and our server Crissy was amazing. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the table times. We had a reservation and were told once we sat down that we only had 1.5 hours in our booth. Also, there must've been an altercation at the venue that night because someone was pepper sprayed while we were there. It was extremely quiet because we didn't hear anything until we were sneezing and dealing with the aftermath of pepper spray. That sucked because it impacted the rest of us and we had nothing to do with the issue.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 – A Must-Visit Lounge Experience! If you're looking for a lounge that perfectly blends elegance, energy, and top-tier vibes, Bloom in Southfield is the spot. From the moment you walk in, you're hit with a classy, sexy, and super stylish atmosphere that makes you feel like you're somewhere special. The food and drinks? 10000000/10 — no exaggeration. Everything was flavorful, well-presented, and had that "wow" factor. Whether you're sipping cocktails or ordering bites, you're in for a treat. Service was top-notch — the staff, especially the ladies, were not only professional and attentive, but also added to the overall chic ambiance. Everyone was friendly and on point all night. And the DJ? Absolutely killed it. The music kept the energy high and the crowd moving — we were hustling all night and loving every minute of it. There’s nothing I’d change about Bloom. From the vibe to the service, to the food and music — it’s a flawless 5-star experience. Highly recommend for a night out with friends or a special celebration.

Bloom Southfield is the hottest new thing. It is definitely not what I expected. It is listed as a restaurant; however, I would consider it a lounge that serves food. I strongly recommend reservations. In fact, right now, I don't think they can accommodate you without a reservation. If you are hosting a celebration ie birthday, this is a great spot. The ambiance is amazing. They play music. They serve food. They serve drinks. You can purchase Hookah on-site. I don't know if they allow dancing but the vibe definitely calls for it. This is a black owned business and the owner is present and hands on. We were able to have a nice chat and I sincerely hope his business succeeds. My daughter loved this establishment and will definitely return with her friends. The food was a B to me. I didn't have anything that I felt was to die for but it was at no fault of the restaurant just personal preference. Our server was a B+. She would disappear at times but when she returned she took care of all our needs. I would recommend this restaurant to the party people. 😂

I celebrated my 35th birthday dinner at Bloom Southfield with six of my girls, and let me just say—10/10 experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambience was everything: classy, welcoming, and perfect for a special night out. Our waitress, Crystal, was amazing! She knew exactly how I liked things and made sure everything ran smoothly. The hostesses were also super sweet and accommodating. Now let’s talk food—whew! I ordered the Marry Me Chicken with a side of Brussels sprouts and paired it with a Blackberry Spritzer… and not only was it fire that night, it was just as good the next day! If you’re thinking about trying Bloom Southfield—do it. Great vibes, even better service, and food that speaks for itself. Reservations highly recommended!

Never again. Bloom Southfield was a huge disappointment on December 29th. My bestfriend had a birthday gathering here. The food was terrible, especially the crab dip and oysters. Both were poorly prepared and nowhere near the quality you would expect from a place that presents itself as upscale. The booth arrangements were unacceptable. After spending over $500 on bottles, we were seated in an uncomfortable, poorly arranged booth that felt like an afterthought. On top of that, there was a two hour booth time limit that was never explained or clearly communicated beforehand. Being rushed out after spending that amount of money is unacceptable. If you are charging premium prices, the experience and transparency should match. Between the subpar food, poor seating, and lack of communication, this place is not worth it. Save your time and your money.

I stopped by this charming spot during happy hour and grabbed a seat at the bar. The food was amazing, and the bar service was excellent. If you’re looking for a lively lounge with a fun, energetic vibe, this is a great pick. However, if you’re hoping for a quiet, relaxed dinner, this probably isn’t the right place. The waitstaff is all female and dressed in leotards with tights and heels, which adds to the overall atmosphere.

Went for a small bachelorette party! The atmosphere was cute, the music was great, the head of security helped us all down the steps, staff were friendly. I would definitely visit again
