Vegan birthday cake donuts

The donut is surprisingly good. I couldn't realize it's vegan at first. It's 80-90% as good as a normal donut. There're variety of flavours, I love the cinnamon one the best as it's not too sweet. The chocolate one is the 2nd best. Other flavors are also good but it's too sweet to me. The donuts are crazy big, full of cream.

I am a broke university student. And the prices here were a bit too much for me. I tried the raspberry coconut drink (I think it is seasonal) and it was yummerific. However, while my taste buds cheered in delight of this wonderful gastronomic experience, my wallet gasped its final breaths as I tapped away the final dollars in my bank account. Okay, maybe this is a me problem. I sat down in a booth with some friends and we chatted while we enjoyed our drinks and pastries. The atmosphere is great and I am a big fan of the music selection. The decor is cute also.

I'm in love! Amazing soft and fresh vegan donuts! I enjoyed a sandwich and a pot pie as well! Great service and good vibes, very reasonable pricing!

Google
My new go-to bakery for vegan donuts and treats! The coconut cream filled donut was so delicious and I’m so excited to try more flavors! The service was awesome too—the friendliest staff! Would highly recommend

Google
These donuts were an easy 10/10! I’m actually very picky when it comes to desserts, especially donuts. There’s usually something I’d dislike about them. There was nothing to dislike about these! They were thick and flavourful. The texture was really good. They were not greasy like some donut places. I can actually say that I enjoyed every donut in the box! I’d definitely come back and try other flavours as well as their other menu items!

Google
I just love Bloomers! The fact that everything is freshly baked and DOESN‘T taste artificial lets every other bakery stand in the shadow of this lovely vegan gem! Everything just tastes so natural. They also have lots of gluten free options, which I love! So don‘t miss out on this 💎!

Google
The service was excellent, and the barista was incredibly kind and welcoming. However, the coffee and muffin didn’t quite meet expectations. The muffin was very dry, as if it had been sitting out for a few days, and unfortunately, there were no milk alternatives available except for almond milk. I really appreciated the great customer service, but I hope to see some improvements in the food quality and more milk options in the future.

This is my second time to try their vegan doughnuts and love this local shop. Bloomer’s doughnuts are so soft and tasty. Carrot loaf is so moist and really spiced up, which I like. Gluten-free cookies are rough and taste good. I appreciate that staff is very attentive even though she is busy to close the store.

Yelp
In late August, I was in the Christie Pits area and was driving along Bloor Street West heading westbound. I saw Bloomer's off to my left. I am a fan of this vegan chain. My closest location is the one in Bayview Village Shopping Centre. I decided that after grabbing dinner, I'd walk over to this store before heading home. If you can find parking on Bloor, congrats! I didn't have that kind of luck. Instead, I parked at a Green P lot across from this cafe, on the northeast side of Ossington and Bloor. It's a cozy cafe. There were folks sitting down on a warm summery evening, chatting, eating, and drinking. I'm guessing that I got here just before 7 pm. As you'd expect, you wouldn't get the same variety at this hour than if you came first thing in the morning. However, it did have two donut flavours that I wanted. I was happy. I got the smallest donut haul that I have ever had at Bloomer's: - Biscoff crunch - Raspberry lime I like the strawberry lemonade at Bloomer's. I had a helpful man behind the counter help put my order together. He didn't have any lemonade left. However, he did have chai tea that he could make an iced version for me. Perfect! I paid with a credit card. I tapped and tipped. Paid. Done! I wished him a great evening. He reciprocated. I grabbed my tea and box of donuts, and walked over to my car. My chai tea was yummy. It didn't have any sweetener, which is how I like it. It was iced and was the perfect drink to enjoy as I drove home. I had the raspberry lime donut when I got home. I have had it before and it's perfect. Bloomer's does anything with raspberry well. It's the real deal. If you love raspberries, you want to come here. The lime provides that citrusy contrast that you need with raspberries. It is an awesome donut. I wish that it were offered year-round. Sadly, it's not. I really wanted the Biscoff crunch donut badly. I love Biscoff. It was divine. The Biscoff topping was indeed crunchy and so perfect on this donut. I loved it so much. It had Biscoff cookie butter. If you are a Biscoff fan, this donut is a must. Sadly, it was a limited flavour. I hope that it returns again. Looking at my photos for this review has made me realize that I'm due for a Bloomer's visit. When I am back in this neighbourhood, I'd definitely return for some more goodies. (400)

Yelp
Sadly, I was not a fan of this place. I ordered the pistachio rose donut and blueberry muffin with a matcha latte. The donut was good, nothing amazing or memorable. The muffin was okay, i thought it was very dense and was hoping for a little more fluff or softness. It was gluten free so maybe that is why, but wouldn't come back. Overall, it didn't feel like a bakery and was expecting more freshness from everything ordered and it was the opposite but the matcha latte was good.

Yelp
I'm a donut fiend and people can be sceptical when they eat vegan but these donuts were great! We got a candy apple filled, carrot cake filled, key lime pie filled, and pistachio rose. They were all delicious! Soft, fluffy, sweet, but not overly so. Really good! The only issue was trying to find a spot on the bench outside in their patio that didn't have bird poop and the raccoon that tried to climb up right next to us. That's not really the restaurants fault though and they did try shooing away the very ballsy critter. Carrot cake was my favourite and you'd never be able to tell that the cream cheese filling wasn't standard cream cheese. Pistachio rose was also lovely and a bit more unique. Key lime pie was also good. Candy apple was my least favourite, though still nice, just hard to eat.

Yelp
Never fails to satisfy that sweet tooth! The shop is beautiful and perfect to study at and the service is always polite and friendly! Come here all the time, especially during the fall for their perfect pumpkin pie doughnuts!

Yelp
I was walking along Bloor street and saw that I walked right past this store and so I went back to get some donuts. I honestly did not know they were vegan until I brought some home and looked online. I let my siblings try it and we all thought that the donuts were a bit too dry for our liking. Service was nice and the place did offer very interesting donut flavours though.

Yelp
It took a global pandemic, but I finally got to try Bloomers through delivery. And while I was a bit annoyed I couldn't choose which 4 donuts to have in my box of 4 (other than saying whether it should be nut free or not), I was pleased to find out the donuts were good - a bit expensive but worth it because of the quality, and super filling as they were on the denser side. From what I can tell, my 4 donuts were: - Rose Pistachio: The star of the bunch. The rose and pistachio glaze combination was rich without being overwhelming, and had this almost refined and uppity taste to it (in a good way). - Birthday Cake and Cookies&Cream: Both were typical standard good glazes. - Lemon Poppyseed: A bit too sour for me, and hardly tasted the poppyseed. Overall pretty good. I may not go back, but can easily see why vegans and non-vegans alike love this place.

Yelp
I came to pickup a cake last minute for a friend. (he is vegan so it was important to get this cake) I didn't realize this location closed at 7:00PM. I arrived 15 minutes after close. I saw someone inside cleaning and tapped on the door. Lancy came over with a huge smile and opened the door slightly while I explained. She didn't even hesitate and let me come inside to quickly grab a cake. She did not give off any vibes that she was annoyed. She smiled throughout our interaction. She even grabbed me the best looking cake. Lancy is definitely a huge asset to your establishment. I'm sure you already know that. I just wanted to reach out and praise her excellent customer service.

Yelp
Bloomer's was at the summer Farmers market in front of RBC, and we bought a bunch of doughnuts for the whole team. We got the rose pistachio, birthday cake, raspberry jelly filled, cinnamon sugar, and pina colada, among some other flavours. These doughnuts are MASSIVE! Half of one is equivalent to your normal doughnut. The main appeal of these doughnuts, I believe, are that they can be gluten and dairy free (vegan). However, I wasn't that big a fan. I found them overly greasy and not that quite pillowy or yummy. A heavy afternoon treat, but a happy one nonetheless!

Yelp
I only had a chance to stop in here briefly during a short trip to Toronto, but I got their Zucchini Chocolate Chip Muffin, and WOW, it was one of the best muffins I've EVER had. Bonus was the fact that it was vegan AND gluten-free. It looks like there were a couple other things I could have also tried that were vegan and gluten-free, so maybe I will have to come back next time I'm in town to try them.

Yelp
This cake was actually surprisingly really good. The consistency was perfect. And for a vegan cake, damm good job. It was very tasty, timing was perfect. I mean I was slightly worried the icing would be off due to delivery issues as per below comments but it was perfect . The work place actually showed me the cake also before leaving to confirm all is good . I highly recommend it

Yelp
Bloomers is a quaint little cafe at Bloor & Ossington. I've been there several times. The donuts seem to be very popular but I decided to try some of the food. As a non vegan I try not to compare vegan foods to meat based foods. I decided to go for the pulled pork (jackfruit) sandwich. My sandwich came out in a matter of minutes. There's no way you can compare it to a real pulled pork sandwich. It was pretty good but the BBQ sauce had a very strange aftertaste, it was a bit too tangy. The onion ring was the best part of the sandwich. I would like to try their breakfast menus or even the pastries. The service was pretty average. Also there's free wifi. Keep Eating, Angela

Yelp
Dear Bloomer's, where have you been all my life? Well, apparently, right down the street. I have lived mere blocks away from Bloomer's for over 4 years but, in an effort to be more *~*vegan*~* have only just recently added it to my regular neighborhood rotation. The coffee is delicious, the donuts are to die for, and the lunch menu is nothing short of expansive. Yesterday, I ordered the BBQ jackfruit sandwich (my new fav food trend) to go and was *shook* to discover how huge it was when I got it home. It was one of those perfect sloppy sandwiches that leaves enough behind on the plate that you have to eat it with a fork. Free second sandwich, right? The jackfruit was divine, though it was a bit heavy on the mayo (but at least it was vegan mayo). There has been quite a bit of a wait every time I come here, but the staff are friendly and the wait is always worth it. Definitely one of the better vegan pastry shops I've tried in the city and the wide-ranging lunch menu makes it even better. Also looks like a great spot to hole up with a laptop on weekdays!

Yelp
Strictly reviewing their brownies, which are super decadent and to die for! You wouldn't even know they're made of zucchini because of how fudgy they are! Wow.. Speaking as a non-vegan! While I've not been to the cafe itself, have had their treats through another establishment that wholesales through them. It's a spot I'd check out when in the area. Their desserts look yummy.

Yelp
Make sure you check your cake at the location before you bring it home. Our cake was clearly iced while still warm or left long enough for the icing to slide off. Tasted good, but disappointing that the icing had slid off. The other cake we purchased was fine.

Yelp
Note: this review is purely based on their doughnuts...or donuts. However you spell them, they're awesome either way. These donuts aren't your typical baked from frozen donuts at Tim Hortons - these are the real deal. As a consumer of conventional baked goods, my taste buds definitely can't differentiate between a vegan donut and a conventional donut. Today I picked up the birthday cake and the black forest. They were both delectable and while I could've plowed through both, a split of 1/2 each hit the spot. These donuts are almost the size of a CD in circumference and are airy - it's hard not to eat more than 2 in one sitting. Bloomer's is accepting card only during the COVID era. Hoping I'll be able to return early in the AM and try more of their flavours/other baked goods. Total cost: 8.50 for 2 donuts

Yelp
Sadly a disappointing experience which did not match my high expectations. I got the ferrero rocher doughnut and it tasted quite artificial. They were generous with the filling, but I expected a higher quality doughnut.
google avatar

Becca C.

Yelp
Everything was tasty. Unfortunately, the day I went in they were all out of the wings which I was really excited to try, as well as the burger, and all of their fresh pressed juices. It's a shame that they were out of so many things. The service was fine but nothing extraordinary. The waitress provided good recommendations for the baked goods.

Annie S.

Yelp
Definitely some of my favourite doughnuts I have had in general. I have been here a couple times before, and each time my roommate and I try a new flavour, they are all good in their own way(I prefer the ones without filling but they are still good), even a basic one with sprinkles. The texture of the doughnut is very nice and light , so if that is your preferred texture over the dense ones, you will really like it. This will always be one of my to go doughnut spots.

Yelp
Hands down the best vegan bakery in Toronto! Their donuts are perfect. Fluffy freshness all around. My favorite flavors are, Boston cream, cookies and cream, pumpkin, apple cider, chocolate raspberry truffle, and the berry. Ok, pretty much all the donuts I've tried are my favorites. I recently ordered a pecan pie from them and it was the best pie (vegan and non-vegan) I've had. Just the right amount of filling and the crust was "buttery" Crisp. Even the non-vegans were impressed. Which is annoying, as if they never had bad tasting non-vegan food. PUHLEASE! Mind you, I ordered the pie with gluten. Just because I'm vegan doesn't mean I'm gluten free, but they did have gluten free pies available for you celiac intolerants. Someday I will eventually try their meals, but with all those donuts, I tend to make them my meal replacement. :X

Yelp
I love finding new cafe places, so this one is definitely one I'd come back to...on a weekday. I'm not a huge fan of extremely busy coffee shops where it's difficult to even hear the other person you're with sometimes. Plus we had to move some seats to help a bigger group find seating. But with that being said. The service was very good and quick. Plus, we had a Canadian Maple Cream donut to share....which was definitely the best tasting donut I have had in a very long time. I would definitely check this place out when it's not super busy.

Saghi G.

Yelp
I've made an order for Birthday Cake on Sunday, online, via their website. Followed up by phone on Monday, made sure the order was properly made, and the store recivied it. Called on Tuesday to see when I can pick it up. The staff had no clue about the order. They promised someone from main bakery would call me and tell what I can do now that I Don't Have The Birthday Cake. No one called. These pepole are not responcible. Not professionals. Not efficient. Not reliable. I would not recomned them at all unless for walking into the store to grab a couple of donuts.

Yelp
Excellent vegan food. Baked goods, sandwiches, soups, etc... Also great drink menu so great to unwind after work.

Yelp
All i've experienced here is the donuts and i have to say Bloomers hands down makes the best vegan donuts in Toronto, light fluffy and almost impossible to differentiate between the non and vegan varieties, they are that good. Now to be fair my only other experience i've had with vegan donuts is with another Toronto vegan food shop called "through being cool" (i know terrible hipster name, but that's what hipsters do lol) , the difference between the 2 shops donuts is vast, as TBC's donuts are so incredibly dense that they verge on being undercooked. they are heavy and drop like a rock into your stomach. They are nothing like the perfect donuts that Bloomer's produces. So if you are looking for amazing vegan donuts, this is the place. Update: I finally popped in here and it was an interesting experience, I had the pulled jackfruit bbq sandwich and it was really delicious! The bun was fresh and it was topped with some tasty slaw and a fresh made onion ring, very messy, very good, I'd definitely get it again. Being a bit of a coffee snob, I found their drip basket coffee really good, whatever beans they use, they are very fresh. My only complaint is that the service was kinda strange, the servers were nice, but it seemed like half help yourself, half table service, they served me coffee at the table but I had to take my mug over to the counter to use the sugar and cream substitute. They also took quite long to serve us after we ordered, but at least the food was hot. Over a Link would return, but temper your expectations as far as table service goes.

Yelp
My cousin stopped by this afternoon and brought 2 donuts for me to try. She mentioned last week when I had dinner in the area how these were her favourite donuts. She doesn't have much in terms of options since she's a vegan. The flavours she brought by today was a pistachio rose water and I think was a berry flavour. Surprisingly I LOVED the pistachio rose water one (I usually hate those flavours). Donut itself was light and fluffy. They were yeast based donuts, my favourite! I kind of wished they made them smaller since when you start with these, you just can't stop!

Yelp
I picked up 3 donuts from here for my daughter and her friends. The green matcha tea, pink sprinkled and sugar classic. I said to myself: I will take a small piece of each to try them, then pass them on to the girls... -- Sadly, The girls got not donuts because once I started eating one, I had to finish it and then just HAD to eat the rest! All in all excellent donuts
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
I had the chocolate chip cookie here. It did not meet my expectations but it did have chocolate chips which helped the flavour. I could not really taste the cookie part except for the cookie consistency which was a bit moist and chewy. I have had their cookie and brownie at the vegan fest last year and it was much better.

Kylie Hannah S.

Yelp
I love Bloomer's donuts but I recently ordered a cake for my partners birthday and it was not good. The 6" cake as around $45-$50 CAD (I went with carrot) and on top of this they added a $20.00 delivery fee. When we cut the cake for the birthday, the ratio of cake to icing was 1:3 there was barely any cake. Upon tasting the icing was extremely sugary to the point where all 8 people could not eat it. The cake itself was dry and the edges were extremely hard and tasted burnt. I was extremely disappointed because their smaller baked goods are soooo delicious that was I expecting the same quality with their cakes, but I was sadly disappointed. I hope the Bloomers bakery team can really work towards cake development to improve the taste and quality, especially for the price. Will never order a cake from here again unfortunately :(

Yelp
The best food items are the sandwiches and burgers. The salads are mostly just the mixed greens and the dressing selections don't really fit well with the cranberry and sweet potato salad toppings. The tempeh rebeun, and pulled jack fruit are the best items. Seitan veggie burger is decent. Service is really slow and the restaurant is cold during cooler weather because the main door opens directly to the street without a buffer. Not many seats and people hang out on laptops. I will come back to eat the food but I wish the service was speedier. The restaurant is seat yourself and it took about 15 minutes for server to come to our table with menus, then another 15 minutes for then to come back with water and take our orders.

Yelp
Bloomers is a good mix of things. It's a cafe and a restaurant, open later than most indie coffee places. They strike a good balance between healthier veggie bowls and the greasy vegan fried food that this city seems obsessed with right now. Overall, the food is very flavourful, not expensive and there are a variety for options (even for drinks: booze, coffee, juices and even kombucha). Tempeh Reuben: this sandwich is a punch in the face of flavour. The tempeh is awesomely thick-cut. Comes with mustard and pickles. Only downside is that it's a little greasy. Caesar salad: strange and salty. The romaine was nice and the vinaigrette was light and garlicy but not the expected creamy dressing. The toppings were strange and were what made it so salty. Just lettuce and the vegan caesar dressing from Through Being Cool would have been miles better. Pulled Jack: messy and delicious. The BBQ sauce is sweet and not too smokey. The jackfruit is actually pulled and was tender, like actual pulled pork. Definitely a do-again. (Would so be so good in a whole wheat wrap, like burrito-style.) Open salad: the tomatoes tasted like they were from a real garden. Sweet potato is a novel addition but was undercooked. The sesame dressing may not have been the right choice for this salad in general.

Yelp
The best vegan food I've had so far! I love that they're not just about the salads and bowls (although they have those too) and there's everything from poutine to mac & cheese - all the classic comfort foods. Location is very convenient as it's right outside Ossington station, but as others have mentioned, service is quite slow for take-out. I didn't really mind though since I wasn't in a hurry anyway and the great food made up for the wait. I got the tempeh reuben and a rosewater pistachio doughnut to go. Both were delicious and exceeded my expectations. The reuben was surprisingly flavourful and honestly unlike anything I've eaten before; the tempeh was perfectly marinated and super satisfying - didn't miss the meat at all! It was my second time trying a vegan doughnut and I am happy to say that this one was much better (almost on par with the rosewater pistachio at Glory Hole Doughnuts). My only complaint is that there was a little too much of the sauerkraut and pickles on the reuben, which made it quite sour near the end. Not a huge deal though, I'd still be down to go back and try the other items on their menu!
google avatar

Jenny X.

Yelp
If you like your donuts big, a little bread-y, with a kiss of grease then you need to try the ones from here. I got the Boston cream donut, which had a sweet but light filling, not quite custardy but more like a buttercream. I only wish my donut had more of it. If you're taking your donut to go, expect any frosting on top to smear onto the paper bag. No fear, you can always dip your donut back into it. I didn't have the chance to try anything else from here, but the donut was pretty solid and I'd come back to try other donuts or food (but donuts first).

Yelp
Its been over a week since I finally tried the donuts at Bloomer's and I am still dreaming about them. So sweet, so perfectly chewy and soft, so satisfying. You would never know they were vegan and isn't that just the sweetest thing of all? All the indulgence without any of the guilt over what it took to get in your belly. My only regret is writing this review because now I'm thinking about them again and its after 9 PM on a Tuesday and Bloomer's isn't open.

Yelp
A great local spot. Delicious baked treats with plenty of tea and coffee selection. Full menu options for lunch and dinner. I've been here a few times and I love the cafe vibe. It's also licensed. Beer and a donut? Don't mind if I do. Seriously chill environment to enjoy a beverage and some nibbles. Great to linger, chat, play a board game or get some work done! The baked goods are unreal though. I had the hibiscus donut and it was perf

Yelp
The donuts are pretty good, but other things that I've had have been hit or miss. Probably the best vegan donuts that I've had in Toronto, and the worst mac and cheese. Service is OK for this type of casual place.

Yelp
$15 Cobb salad with half rotting greens each time I've ever had it.... I really like the place but as someone who cooks for a living, it's truly lazy to not pick through your greens before serving them.. you wouldn't eat rotting spinach at home so why am I paying for it? Also the consistency is always off... one dish will not be the same the next time you get it. The cookies are awesome, as are the cupcakes but the bagels are prrrreeeetty awful. Unless you enjoy trying to digest a brick.

Yelp
BEST DONUTS IN TORONTO!!! If you're going to get anything here, you have to try one of their donuts. As someone who was born deathly allergic to milk, I've never been able to have "real" donuts so it is so exciting to have a spot with amazing donuts that me and all my non-allergic friends love. My friends even swear that Bloomer's donuts are better than "real" ones! They are fluffy, moist, not overly sweet, and perfectly sized. My all-time favorite flavors include birthday cake, apple pie (a fall special), cookies & cream (a spring special), and chocolate peanut butter!

Yelp
In the department of Reasons Why I Love Bloorcourt, Bloomer's Bakery opened their doors in late July and have been open every day since except the holiday Monday. Naturally, I have been gorging myself on Boston cream donuts, dream cookies (empire cookies), blueberry muffins, cupcakes, butter tarts, fresh made bagels with cream cheese, and carrot cake. Did I mention everything is vegan and some things are gluten-free? It's a soft opening, because they are just sticking to baked goods and drinks at the moment, but they plan to roll out a sandwich menu come fall and offer soup and other nice, simple items like cake by the slice that for some reason aren't common at the other vegan spots around here. The space used to be an Ethiopian restaurant whose sign advertised "Organic vegetarian sandwiches" but they always seemed to be out of these and the only time I tried the Ethiopian food, the veggies were under cooked. The space has been painted blue, booths added and a bar across the window. I love their large wheat stalk logo. The place is adorable and right now with the nice summer weather, sitting at the window bar with garage door open is the perfect place to people watch on this colourful stretch of Bloor while enjoying an iced Americano and a donut. I'm so glad that the owners, a friendly couple from Winnipeg, chose this neighbourhood for their business and not, say, The Beaches or Leslieville. My dream is to see them become a Sweetpea's (Portland's greatest vegan bakery) of the east offering a new soup daily, satisfying sandwiches, a variety of dairy-free schmears with their bagels along side some of the best vegan baked goods around! TLDR: Get a Boston cream or dream cookies and iced Americano and park yourself at the window bar on the nice day.

Yelp
Ordered 6 assorted donuts from here via door dash. At first I was skeptical due to the high price but upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised. The donuts were really big in size, super flavourful and aesthetically pleasing. The variety of flavours was also very nice and the texture of the donuts was thick and cakey yet airy like a donut should be. Since being vegan, I haven't enjoyed a donut in quite some time but I was super impressed with these, specifically the london fog donut! The staff was really nice and quick to reply through instagram Dms in regards to a technical issue on the app which is greatly appreciated. Super nice and friendly business, i'm excited to order from here again. Also my order arrived super quick and they wrote the name on the box (small detail but cute).

Yelp
Had seen their Instagram post about brunch and took my egg allergic 14 month old son and partner to the Bloor location for brunch this morning and we were sadly disappointed. We absolutely love their donuts, but found the pancakes inedible. They were burnt and bitter, so in the end my son was only willing to eat a donut. I really hope this was a one-off as we had hoped to try the rest of theur menu because of my son's allergy - but after spending $12+ for pancakes we couldn't eat - I doubt we'll get anything but donuts.

Yelp
This is a hard review bc I really want to like this place and see vegan spots fly. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the food menu and food quality. I was recommended the caesar salad which was like a lot of weird carbs and crunchy things with powdery (presumably homemade cashew) vegan parm on some lettuce. The black bean and mushroom seitan burger looked good but was gummy and snapped back when you pulled on it. Not great. The donut was AMAZING. They are worth the hype. Great flavour and texture. A bit greasy for my preference but, like, it's a donut. Bagel was fine. Cookie was gross. Really great americano. So worth popping in for a treat and coffee, but don't think I'd go back for food.

Yelp
I love to support businesses with heart. When you get to eat a delicious cupcake AND contribute to someone's labour of love all in one swift motion? I mean, come on. Owners Kelly and Alex are pretty sweet, and it's so clear that Bloomer's is their baby. It's a cozy lounge spot with booths and mismatched 2-seaters. Every day seems to have something new in the baked goods department- caramel glazed donut pudding, coconut donut holes, fresh bread, bagels, muffin and cupcake galore... the opportunities are vast. Staples are the un-butter tart and boston creme donut. Damn. GREAT tea selection served in the CUTEST assortment of antique dishes. Chill vibes to work away on my laptop or just zone out + watch the stragglers from Monica's Bar (down the street) stumble by through the space's big garage-door window. Stoked for Bloomers to extend their hours- they'll be serving drinks and a full dinner menu soon. Sidenote: excellent music tastes for your optimum atmospheric experience.

Yelp
I went into this place with high expectations, looking to get a warm cup of Matcha on this rainy day, when the barista  rudely corrected me saying " Let me correct you its pronounced MAKA" and I thought to myself maybe I have been or maybe she doesn't know herself, so I didn't think anything of it. A few minutes later she brought over a drink which was indeed the wrong drink, she gave me a MACA latte. Frustrated, I confronted her she insisted I was the wrong one and that a MACA latte was what I ordered. She refused to correct my order and insisted I pay for it! What kind of stubborn individual works in the customer service industry and forces people to pay for things they never ordered in the first place and makes them feel like they are in the wrong and never admit to their own lack of Cafe beverages. Will never go back, Terrible, rude Batista and service!

Yelp
We ordered four assorted filled donuts and they were very good! My only issue was we received two of the same donut in our pack. For the steeper price, and the fact that we only got a pack of four, it was disappointing that they would put two of the same donut in. If they had provided a truly assorted pack, they would have gotten 5 stars.

Yelp
I came to Bloomers with my friends and the food was delicious. All of the food is Vegan (lactose free) and they offer lots of gluten free options. I was there with a group of 12 people and I found it was difficult for them to manage such a large group. They ended up being sold out of a lot of items and they forgot an order. We then had to ask them to redo it. I felt really bad for my friend who had to wait over an hour for her food. Once her dish arrived, she said it was fantastic. I would definitely go back but I would only go with 2-4 people to avoid the delay of trying to push together tons of tables and waiting on food they forgot to prepare in the kitchen.

Yelp
Not technically vegan. Most products use butter that contains palm oil. They cancelled my cake order because they refused to find a substitute. Palm oil is NOT cruelty free or environmentally friendly! Very disappointed.

Yelp
My favorite one was the blueberry filled cheesecake donut. It had the perfect balance between the sweetness of the blueberry frosting on top and cheesecake filling. Would definitely buy this one again. The rose pistachio was very interesting it tasted as I expected but I found it overly sweet and wouldn't buy it again. I found the icing too sweet and it was too bready at the bottom. I also tried the overhyped birthday donut which had absolutely no flavor and tasted too sweet and sugary. I was disappointed because its their very popular selling donut also because I love birthday cake flavor. I also tried the pumpkin spice donut, pecan tart donut, and they also were overly sweet. I wouldn't buy them again.

Yelp
Came here while waiting to get tattoo'd at lucky 13 to have a rose pistachio vegan donut (amazing) and then came back two days later to check out their new brunch menu. I had the scramble breakfast plate and everything on it was great. The tofu scramble was different from what I'm used to but still good. My partner had the jackfruit sandwich which was also great. I think they need to get a better system for serving when it is busy, their two person staff works as a cafe but not great when you are providing table service. Would definitely go back though!

Yelp
Over the weekend, my pal and I had every intention of having a work date together. But rather than working, we ended up here and had a huge vegan feast. I have never been to Bloomer's before, but have heard nothing but incredible things about their doughnuts. So I knew I had to order one. My friend also told me their onion rings were the best in the city, but apparently, they have taken them off the menu. So that was also a write-off. The vibe of the place is cozy and casual. It gets super busy on a Saturday afternoon. The service was a bit slow at times, given how busy it was. But that was okay because my friend and I were catching up. I ended up ordering the "Other" bowl ($14) with tofu (additional $2) which was delicious and was topped with greens, cabbage slaw, sweet potato, black beans, cranberries and tahini dressing. My pal gave me a bit of her pulled jack sandwich and it was incredible. Literally tasted like pulled pork. They serve Reunion Island Coffee in-house and it is tasty as heck. Just keep in mind, they don't serve dairy milk. Oh, and their tea menu looked pretty great as well. Btw, their doughnuts are totally worth the hype. I'm not a person who is into sweets and I was shocked. So chewy and soft and delightful. I'm craving another one, tbh.

Yelp
We wanted something different for our brunch wedding reception "cocktail hour", so we reached out to the vegan bakeries in town about ordering mini cinnamon buns. Bloomer's was quick to reply and coordinate a reasonable price, pickup timing, and were happy to accommodate my request to have half with raisins (and made my dad very happy). The cinnamon buns were a huge hit and we're both tasty and cute looking. Bloomer's was the perfect vendor for us and expectations were more than met!
