DUE TO A KITCHEN FIRE THIS LOCATION IS TEMPORARY CLOSED. We are long term customers of the Blu Jam chain. After the Tarzana location closed, we traveled to their Woodland Hills location. Same menu. Same great service. But, a little more intimate. Ordering is accomplished at the front counter. BLU JAM ACCEPTS NO CASH. A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD MUST BE USED. You are asked to tip before service. Our service experience has always been excellent, and we tip accordingly. The tips are shared among servers. Your order is delivered to your table. My order of the "Tex Mex" vegan stir-fry is spicy, but not overly hot, the same as the generous portions served at the Tarzana location. I also ordered the French press. After waiting a few minutes for the hot water to brew the rich beans, press the plunger, This results in a flavorful satisfying beverage. My wife enjoyed the Lemon crepes, sprinkled with lemon zest and a side of crisp bacon. Her drink, a single shot of decaf coffee in their largest cup, with the rest of the cup filled with non-fat foam. She enjoys her bone-dry Cappuccino with a spoom. STUFF: Bathrooms are located in a short hallway on the NORTH (right) side of the dining room. Lots of free parking. There are several ADA spaces.

The restaurant dishes out delicious vegan and vegetarian options. The vibe is wonderful here with loud laughter from many tables when we visited there. Happy people, happy meals. We had the vegan tostada, tofu scramble and apple crepes. Everything was perfect except for a bit of a forgetful service that didn't upset our dining at all

Went out for brunch and ordered California Omelette with a side if salad. Upon mixing the salad with the dressing, there was a brown object... did not know what it was and picked it up. It was a crumpled brown paper towel. That was the most disgusting thing ever. How can something so big as a crumpled paper towel, the size of a little bigger than golf ball, be hidden under the salad! Was this intentional! Is it because we are the only Asians there! I want to vomit thinking I was eating off someone's dirty hands after using the bathroom or could have been used to clean anything that was dirty! This is the most disgusting thing ever! All they can say is "Do you want something else!!!" Why would I want to eat there again when it's clear your staff are either completely ignorant of basic health codes or simply don't care? If this is how you operate in plain sight, I can only imagine what happens behind closed doors. You're inviting a serious health investigation And on top of that, there's no one to hold accountable--no manager, no real person to escalate to--just some automated system that clearly exists to avoid responsibility.

I barely give this review but I’m still in doubt if this is a real BluJam cafe branch! I’ve been a regular visitor to the Whilshire branch but this one gave me The worst breakfast experience I ever had, and we paid $60 for 2 people! The checkin and ordering process that doesn’t give you option to pay at the table( online menu is everywhere) but forcing to pay before food arrives is definitely not nice, The staff were inexperienced, the food came and juices and coffe came 10min later, A complete burnt egg Benedict, a so called fresh orange juice taste anything but fresh, too pricey for no reason. Definitely NOT RECOMMEND!

Google
I personally have loved whatever I've eaten there including the breakfast risotto and traditional eggs Benedict, but my friend had something with quinoa in it and wasn't impressed. I imagine the parking and seating are ridiculous on the weekend, because parking is already hard during the week.

Google
What great place for breakfast. The crunchy French toast was amazing. Plenty of free parking, service is excellent friendly atmosphere. Kid friendly but no actual Kids menu, the side dished work great though for kids. No wait for a table sat us down immediately on Saturday morning. I would go back to try some different items on the menu. Last thing, the portions are medium sized so you could share.

Google
This was my first time eating at Blu Jam Cafe and man, what a little gem. This place is amazing! Tons of outdoor seating, you can order your food using their app and they bring it to you or go inside and order. The water comes with mint and lemon, which was great. The food was amazing. I had the French toast. It was super crispy and crunchy. The berries and vanilla sauce it came with was tasty. Since it isn’t served with syrup it’s not too sweet. My husband had the hangover scramble and I had to steal his because it was so good. I also had to take home a bottle of their hot sauce because it was delicious. I may regret not getting two but that just means we will have an excuse to go back. 100% recommend

Google
I used to love Blu Jam. Great food, excellent service every visit BUT I went in this morning and all of the servers have been let go. The new process is you walk in, order and pay then choose a table. They brought our food without utensils, there were 3 tables that hadn't been cleaned. It was weird. I asked if there was new ownership and was told no. Sad. This place had all the things. My $60 for two lattes, an orange juice, apple juice, omelet and chicken sandwich would be better spent elsewhere. If you don't expect to be served at a restaurant, it will be great for you. Leo & Lily's and Peddler's fork down the road have great service staff and awesome food. Sadly, I'm not sure if I'll ever return to BJC.

Yelp
Food is great! Customer service.. non existent? No water refills, no one checking on you to see if you need anything. Thankfully they have utensils and napkins available, theyre kind of set up in a way that they're comfortable not checking in on you.

Yelp
Always an amazing experience at blu jam. Cute little cafe in the corner of a popular plaza. It can definitely get busy at times so be prepared on a Sunday morning. I always recommend getting the chilaquiles and crunchy french toast with the volcanic coffee or a fresh juice. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu though.

Yelp
Brunching in Calabasas with some work colleagues! The place is packed at peak times. They allow you to order at the cashier or the QR Code and you prepay. Ordered the following: California Omelette Crunchy French Toast Overall, this place serves up brunch and vegan options. The water had mint and lemons in it. I enjoyed my diced potatoes :)
google avatar

Yelp
Cute busy little spot. No cash place which Please keep that in mind... You order on the phone after scanning the QR code on the tables but the staff is still busy running around and on top of their service always checking up on you a little not traditional. The food was OK I think i will be back to try some other popular dishes I personally ordered out of my normal but they had so many options and everything I seen looked delicious my daughter said her food was AMAZING and mine was tasty too I just will try something else next time. I did have a nice matcha chai and it was amazing

Simon V.

Yelp
So.... I was eating my salad and found a dirty napkin buried underneath the salad. Pretty sure this is a health code violation. Waited thirty mins to get my food just to lose my appetite completely. I understand they are busy but this is unacceptable. I was unable to take a picture because they took the plate away before I had a chance. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Let's be clear.... The napkin was found buried my salad. No need to talk about this any further. You denied any liability in this case and I would never come back. You stated that you do not use that any type of napkin that was found in my salad. I did not bring up a sole napkin. I stated that the napkin was found in my salad. They asked me to bring the plate which I did. No need to argue this any further. This was a huge operational mistake and your team refused to acknowledge what was found in my food and you even stated they did not have to comp my meal. There are two sides to the story, mine, your staffs, and what is between. We also stated for you to pull cameras if you questioned whether or not a dirty napkin was found in my food.

Yelp
The vegan tostada is cravable. I crave it so bad that anytime I am now in the area - I look at the clock and see if it's time to eat yet. The first time I had it I was going to take a picture after I tried it... but then it was gone. It's too bad for any vegan tostada I have from now one because the bar has been set very high because of the Blu Jam cafe. The size of it works out pretty good too. It a big plate and I am a big boy - but It's not too much. I hope you have the exact same pallet as me so that you can enjoy this dish as much as I do. (For reference I enjoy cheese and eggs and bacon but do not eat anything from the ocean. I also do not really enjoy eating most vegan foods I have tried) It will be years before I try something else on their menu and that's cool because I've already lived a full life. Trust me. Thank you

Yelp
Plenty of seating when the weather is good! It was a great place to meet a couple of friends to catch up. We didn't feel rushed and the food came out pretty quickly. Everything we had was delicious.

Yelp
All hail the brunch burger, the only burger I've had in recent memory to NOT disintegrate after one or two bites. Blu Jam Cafe is a nice, quiet, go-to cafe spot for anyone getting their brunch fix. My party was immediately seated upon entering and scanned QR codes on the table, where we ended up ordering our food. I have my own take on QR code only establishments, but they have a gigantic menu on the chalkboard up front, so this gets a pass. I ordered the Orange Creamsicle Whip Creamsicle, Brunch Burger, and shared the Crunchy French Toast with my party. I finished my Creamsicle before I even got my burger. Not sure if I was just really thirsty or I enjoyed it that much. I'm assuming it's a bit of both. It was a monthly special and it's a drink I'd recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth. A mixture of vanilla and orange with a lot of cream. The Brunch Burger was like any burger I've had except for the fact that it held its structure through the entire meal. Now I don't know about you, but that is incredibly unheard of. I was able to eat all the different layers together in its entirety. Awesome job with the way it was put together. The side of cubed potatoes were decent. French Toast was a home run. Sweet, crunchy, and nicely cut to make it easier to share. The liquid frosting is served on the side so you can either dip the Toast or just cover the entire plate. Options!!!!! We had to flag staff a few times for extra water and for the status of our French Toast (they forgot to bring it to us and it was just sitting out) as they didn't really check up on us aside from bringing the food over. Otherwise, the food is great and I'd recommend it to those looking for a brunch spot.

Yelp
First, the prices here are reasonable for the amount of food they give you. There is so many yummy sounding things on the menu that I decided to keep it pretty basic since it was my first time here. I ordered the California omelette. There was an option of grilled potatoes or a spring mix salad. I got the potatoes because I thought it would be odd to get a salad with an omelette. I am glad I got the potatoes because I loved that the potatoes were cut in tiny mini cubes. I really enjoyed my meal and I also loved the blueberry jam. It tasted homemade. I also got the iced chocolate frappe. It was good but I couldn't tell if there was any coffee in it. My friend ordered the Norwegian Benedict with a spring mix salad. She offered me a bite but I don't like hollandaise sauce. She said it was okay. I can't really judge the service because when we sat at the table, we were given water right away. We placed our orders using the QR code at the table. So as our food and drinks were made, we got it right away and that's it. So the service wasn't bad but if you're the type that needs someone to keep checking on you, they don't seem to do that. I was okay with it. Also, my friend and I really enjoyed the music they played here. It was like listening to late 80's/early 90's KROQ radio.

Yelp
Amazing place and wow the salads are excellent. Food is top quality and service on par with 5 stars. Love this place

Essam S.

Yelp
You can never go wrong with such place literally perfect We went in a family breakfast I got their famous French toast my wife got there crepe and kids got pancakes all was as usual just amazing
google avatar

Rose S.

Yelp
I was here with my friend the other day. The service was not bad but the quality of food is not that good. I ordered 2 eggs with a side of potatoes and avocado. I also asked for a lil jam and a toast on the side including a coffee. The potatoes were burnt and had a bitter taste to it and the jam was the cheapest quality and texture ive never seen before. Do I recommend this place? Absolutely not

Yelp
Today, after a job interview, I met up with a friend and of course we were hungry! We debated on where to go and Blu Jam Cafe was our destination! The cafe has a friendly and energetic vibe and right from our entry we were greeted with busy but friendly staff! And we know that's always an important part of any dining experience! We found a comfy table, spotted what we wanted and went to the front to order and pay! There were so many delicious options from breakfast and lunch choices...so I know without a doubt I'll be back to try something different each time! I ordered the Florentine Benedict with potatoes! Just as delicious as it is beautiful!!! The potatoes are the cutest tiniest cubes I've ever seen and yummy too I might add!!! We were treated to their award winning brioche crunchy French toast strips with vanilla bean sauce drizzle! The Blu Jam Cafe also had their signature blueberry jam that is an ultimate flavor bomb and if no one was around I would have licked the container lol!! New favorite breakfast and lunch spot! Thanks Blu Jam Cafe! The staff were all amazing and I'll be back soon!!!

Yelp
The girl in front was so rude and arrogant The order was late 25 minutes Regret leaving a tip for very bad customer service Won't go back there again

Yelp
One of my favorite breakfast/brunch places in the area. Reason? Good food, decent prices, good location with plenty of parking. I love to order the Florentine Egg Benedict. They know how to poach an egg! And that hollandaise sauce to top it off? Yummy! I enjoy a good latte from this restaurant as well. Note, if you do order French toast, they do not offer syrup. They have a white sauce they offer (which is good). The GM, Scott, is very cool.

Yelp
I went back yesterday to this location and brought my boyfriend and best friend because I remembered how much I loved coming here. I haven't been back since moving to Orange County. There is no longer any waitstaff which is understandable, however, I could not bring myself to justify tipping. Especially because we seated ourselves, ordered by QR code, and the only interaction we had with employees was when they brought our food and we had to ask for things. I would think they would at least offer to refill our waters but that was a hassle to even flag any of the employees because they don't exactly look at customers anymore. At least, that's what I noticed. I got the salmon hash, my boyfriend got the Norwegian Benedict, and my best friend got the shakshuka. Looked yummy! But the poached eggs weren't runny at all and we all ordered it that way, which is how it's supposed to come out. So that kind of put a downer on our meal. My potatoes weren't crispy even though I put a little note for crispy and my salmon was pretty dry. If I go back, I'll definitely treat it as a regular cafe where you order and don't interact with employees other than just ordering and asking for things. Just a little let down with the food as well. I also have worked in restaurants before and am all for tipping when we get service but there was really no service provided to and for us the entire time.

Yelp
Customer service is always sweet and accommodating. I just had a baby and they always make sure I have enough space for her doona when I come.

Yelp
Spacious restaurant and great parking. Servers brought us to our table and instructed us either to order through the QR code or the cashier. Partner and I ordered the Beef Goulash and the Italian Carbonara. Partner wanted something hearty and since it is this month's special, he had to try it. I've eaten here several times ordering the Italian Carbonara so it has been bit consistent with two poached eggs on a gooey, cheese pasta carbonara. Unfortunately, partner and I were a bit unimpressed about the food. Partner says it IS hearty, but the pasta was a bit over cooked and seasoning was very minimal. As for mine, the color, pesto sauce, and the amount of veggies were great, but I was saddened by the poached egg. The best part is when the runny egg covers the dish. I'll visit next time again and hope for runny, poached eggs. Maybe it was a busy day.

Yelp
Inside smelled of cooking grease, asked for ice waster, hostess brought me a pitcher of room temperature water. When I asked for ice she game me an unkind look. Lots of other places to be treated better this day and age.

Yelp
This is definitely your go to brunch spot. First of all the service is amazing. The waiters are all smiling and happy to serve you. It almost feels like I'm at my home with all the friendliness and hospitality. Now the food is on an entire different level. The chilaquiles is a must have. It melts deliciously in your mouth and is at perfect crispness. The breakfast quesadilla is amazing and the owner and chef obviously know their stuff as the quessidailla wasn't made with tortilla bread but rather a puff pastry that is golden brown and crisps with every chew. Now I don't have a sweet tooth, but the crispy French toast is a must have. Its literally heaven in your mouth. This place is just an amazing place and is a must try for all foodies!! With the food that's made with love and the great hospitality from the waiters, I guarantee you will not be disappointed !

Mihali G.

Yelp
I would recommend other locations and not this one. The location is extremely busy to the point multiple people complained about either getting a wrong order or having something wrong with what they actually ordered, us included; although we got seated right away, we also waited about a little over an hour for our food. We specifically went here for the Chilaquiles and eggs Benedict as the other locations food is amazing. Hence, we ordered the chilaquiles and smoked salmon Eggs Benedict. However, the Chilaquiles were super watery and mushy and the Eggs Benedict were not runny (it was close to being hard-boiled) and had minimum hollandaise sauce. When I spoke with the server regarding the order and my eggs, she was very impatient and rude and stated "what do you want me to do about it? Did you want your eggs runny?" -it's as if she didn't know Eggs Benedicts were supposed to have a runny egg on top. The food at this location is extremely bland/poor quality compared to all the other locations and the staff seem incompetent and disrespectful.

Yelp
Great menu. No pancakes. A little pricy, but really good. Order through your phone or at the counter. Coffee is French press.
google avatar

Yelp
Service HORRIBLE. Stood there for 20min NO ONE acknowledged me. I get it it's busy but I'm the first persons standing at the cash register five employees passed me by not one acknowledged i was even there. I would have had better service from a robot. This place is FAR from what it was.

Alan P.

Yelp
terrible food, terribly high prices. good service but wow.. I was belching up breakfast all day.. overdone, dry and oily.. not worth 9 bucks let alone $17 for m omelette and lousy potatoes. I'd stay away.. even Dennys is better

Yelp
Just finishing breakfast at The Blue Jam Cafe in Woodland Hills. Our first time eating at a Blu Jam. 100 out of 100!! Huevos Rancheros was amazing. Our grandkids had the Crunchy French Toast and they said it's the best they ever had. I tasted it and agree! Super service and the Manager Ashley was so friendly and spent time with us all. That kind of personal touch at an informal restaurant is so rare these days. Thanks for a great experience. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
The food was great as per usual. My review is mainly over the service. I used to always love coming here. I've been coming here for years. I strongly recommend the crunchy french toast and the blu jam Benedict. My review is mainly about today's service. After Covid they went cashless and recently they have removed the waiters in general. We never had anyone come over to our table after getting our food dropped off. We needed a few things and it was hard to find someone to help us. I can't justify tipping because of this (I still did lol). It basically felt like just another coffee shop and not an actual brunch restaurant. Some people around us were really upset by this and got up and left. This was also the first time in years where I saw it so empty for a Sunday! I definitely think they need to change their new ways. If you are craving Blu Jam your best bet is getting it for take out :)

Yelp
Food was good, fresh and well portioned. Although I am not a fan of ordering at the counter then seating yourself, the staff did a great job offering seating, bringing out the food, and making sure you have everything you need. Ambiance is casual but stylish. Plenty of inside and outside seating. I should mention that they have fresh squeezed orange and apple juice. I have never seen fresh squeezed apple juice at a restaurant before. Prices are on the steep side but food is quality. Highly recommended

Yelp
Arrived this morning during a fairly busy time, but once the hostess returned, we were seated pretty quickly. They do give you a handheld menu in case the app doesn't work for you, but they prefer that you order through the app. They also want you to tip before any service, which I didn't like doing. On to the food and drinks...we ordered a vanilla latte and a cappuccino which arrived about 5 minutes after our breakfast. Mine had so much foam, it was difficult to drink. My son had the berries with basalmic drizzle crepes with a side of chicken sausage and I had the Eggs Benedict. My son said the crepes were good but he wouldn't order them again. The Benedict had both ham and bacon, but the English muffin didn't seem toasted and the hollandaise sauce was too lemony. The potatoes were fine, just really basic potatoes. My cutlery was funky...the knife was bent. I used the bathroom before leaving and it was messy. The schedule on the wall didn't show anyone was in for the two hours prior and it showed! Glad we tried it, but I most likely will not return due to the prices and lack of service. It felt more like a cafeteria than a nice restaurant to relax and enjoy a brunch.

Yelp
I love their crunchy french toast with hot choc. That's a perfect match for me. Their customer service is pretty accommodating and customer servicey.

Yelp
I used to frequent blue Jam all the time but haven't been in a while. I visited this location and was startled to discover a few things. 1. No more waiters, now I've seen this before but I thought it was just a covid thing and we go back to normal. 2 they don't take cash. I usually pay with credit but like the option to use cash. 3. Food was ok, I feel the quality has dropped. 4. The restaurant decor and overall look was the same as before. Overall I'll probably be looking for a new spot but might stop by to give them another shot because of my previous fond memories.

Yelp
I came to this location because the Sherman Oaks one is always busy! This location was busy as well, but the wait time was less. Also, I suggest you join the wait list on Yelp prior to arriving so you you know when your estimated arrival time should be! I think Blu Jam cafe has delicious food, but at a higher price range. They have a variety of beverages to go with your meal, also at a higher price range. The restaurant is always busy and fast-paced. The service is ok. The food came out at a decent amount of time. I got the breakfast panini. What I liked most about it was the potato's on the side! The sandwich was super heavy and filling, I even got to take the other to-go. I also got the crunchy French toast which were not overwhelmingly sweet with a delicious crunch rather than the usual soggy French toast we know. It was topped off with some sweet fresh fruit. This restaurant did not stand out to me as I thought it would, I'll possible come back just for the crunchy French toast! If you're looking for a breakfast/brunch restaurant and don't mind hearing all the happy eating and talking in the background, then stop by and grab a delicious meal!

Yelp
This place is incredible. Food was A+. There is a digital ordering system from phone. I actually really like that I don't need to wait for a waiter. They still bring it to table. The cappuccino was possibly the best cappuccino I have ever had. Will absolutely come back!!!

Yelp
There seems to be more than one branch of the Blu Jam Cafe, and we chose the location on Mullholand drive in Woodland Hills. The breakfast, lunch and brunch restaurant sits in a large strip mall. The eatery itself has wide dining spaces, more outside than inside. Ordering is at the counter and food is brought to your table when it is ready. The table was already set. What was unique was a large glass water bottle with lemon and mint stood at the center. We started with a ginger shot (ginger, lemon and paprika). This was really good. The best I have had. Then the Shakshuka. Poached eggs were prepared perfectly. The tomato base seemed to have been made with stewed canned tomatoes and hence had an acidic taste. Imagine how it would present if prepared with fresh tomatoes. To like this dish, you have to be a fan of tomato based preparations, not so much up my alley. Finally, the Balsamic blueberry crepes. This item checked all the boxes. Crepe was thin, soft and had good color. Blueberries had intense flavor that was throughout the crepe. I liked the fact that you could not tell that a balsamic glaze was responsible for galvanizing the flavors, enhancing taste and texture. Service was good.

Yelp
Love this place: went on Easter and had a reservation but when showed up the service was so good didn't even need to use it. In and out with their pay at table service too no need to worry to wait. The meals were amazing the best is the breakfast pasta it's like a amazing Mac and cheese with ham and egg. The French toast looks amazing I need to try it. Their rose matcha latte is amazing too and chai latte . I can't wait to go back maybe for Mother's Day. But don't take my spot!

Yelp
Amazing place. The service is fast and friendly. The food is very tasty, the portions are huge!

Yelp
This review is purely my frustration with false advertisement via Uber eats. Please see the photos below. As a customer looking at this advertisement on Uber eats, I would assume it's BUY 1, GET 1 free. Well, it's not. Uber Eats / postmates is trying to tell me that the policy is actually buy 2, and then the discount would be added and 1 item would be discounted. Makes absolutely no sense!!! I ordered BJC shot and breakfast burrito with the understanding I would receive an additional matching item. Nope. Did not. Stupid. Waste of time calling Uber about it. The end.

Yelp
So disappointed that they not longer have servers. Very impersonal. You have to order on an App. Not one clears plates or asks how you food is. Food was fine, a little cold but not one to tell. Don't think they really care. Unfortunate but I'm sure they're saving money by not having servers.

Yelp
Excellent food - good choices for omnivores and vegans alike. Always friendly service; you order at the counter. Simple, pleasant, casual ambiance.

Yelp
We got carryout out brunch from here and it was delicious! I highly recommend the churro French toast sticks, they were decadent and amazing. My husband also really liked his egg sandwich with bacon and avocado.
google avatar

Grace A.

Yelp
4 for the food, but 1 for service. They've completely switched up the way that this restaurant works, there are no servers to take your order, you either have to order online or at the register for the dine-in option. I understand being short staffed, but this seemed like a bad choice in cuts to be made. I ordered the chilequiles which was very good, but the eggs are no longer scrambled in unfortunately. The churro French toast was a little dry in my opinion, but the dirty chai latte was very good. Breakfast for two and two drinks cost us almost $70 ‍... not sure I'll be coming back anytime soon.

Maria M.

Yelp
The service was very, very, very slow and not attentive. It took us a long time to get one employee to listen to our concern

Yelp
The first time I tried Blu Jam was in Santa Monica, and I was excited to see that there was one only ten minutes away from my apartment. When my BF and I arrived Saturday morning, there was already a line. Luckily the line moved pretty quick and we were able to get seated within 15 min. Parking is pretty easy - the cafe is located on a large plaza so there were plenty of spots available. Ordering is done through a QR service system, which is very hit or miss. I had issues with adding items to the cart and it took forever for pages to load. Eventually, after taking wayy too long to order. we ended up ordering at the front. By then, I was very hungry and my mood was sour. I took off one star because of the dreadful ordering system. Everything else was solid. My boyfriend got the Hangover Scramble and I ordered the Crunchy French Toast. We had no problems with killing both. This is one of my favorite brunch places, food-wise. Highly recommend! Just don't bother with the QR service system, because it sucks.

Yelp
This was my first time eating at Blue Jam and it was definitely worth the wait! The breakfast scramble "Migas" is a flavor explosion, and the churro French toast was the perfect amount of sweet without being too overwhelming. The vanilla shaken espresso with oatmilk was the perfect kick without excessive syrup. The ambience here is very chill and relaxed, creating a welcoming space. The standout, though, was the exceptional customer service - attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend to a friend for brunch. The prices were reasonable at about $15 - $20 per entree.

Yelp
First time eating in this location. Beyond horrible all the way around. It was dirty , unkempt , food was way below average with prices above average. Self serve is awful , than they want a tip ? I heard a woman eating next to us that the soup smelled funny. They refunded her. Ugh. Not going back

Yelp
Below mid, definitely an overpriced spot (expected because it is in Calabasas where people like flavorless food), I ordered a hot chai spiced latte and it had a weird after taste. Won't be coming back here again. Oh well.

Yelp
Twice in the last week or so we have been very disappointed at Blue Jam: (1) we ordered Huevos Ranchero, which came with the cheese cold to the touch (on half of the dish). After our complaint, they remade the dish, but it came back only a bit warmer. Also, the tortilla wasn't as it should be or has been. (2) we ordered the gluten-free California Omelet, which came to us at best warm--edible, but not tasty. These had long been our favorite dishes in the past, but these two experiences were a big let-down. Perhaps the problem was a new short-order cook and lack of training, Or perhaps the kitchen's protocol has changed for the worse.

Yelp
We're on vacay and needed somewhere close to the store to eat and I am so happy we stopped in. Blu Jam was tasty, fast, and efficient when it comes to ordering. My mom and I both got the simply eggs (which were cooked to our preferences perfectly) with bacon and the potatoes. Everything had good flavor and came out within 6mins of ordering. Ordering at the counter or on the website does make it easier to get in and out if you're in a hurry so that's a nice option if needed. Definitely will be back next time we're in town! -only side note was no cash which was a bummer since I prefer to use cash but it wasn't the end of the world lol

Yelp
The HSP male workers are littering, thereafter retaliating because I report it. It is utterly vile that my residency in Calabasas, CA dismally feel apart, and I had to [in-transition] nearby Blu Jam Cafe. The HSP male workers offered me beer, I refused [it] - so the trash is their problem, furthermore unnecessary to be intoxicated just to work a 6-hour shift. Me being retaliated against for reporting this, demonstrates [their character]. FURTHERMORE: Blu Jam's Jay replies in an effort to say I am "un-housed, and not a customer". That is not the point! I was a Calabasas-leaseholder who lost a tenancy then assaulted. It is despicable I was befriended by Blu Jam Cafe employees, now I am being scapegoated publicly. Ha!
