Updated review: ordering is easy but their website is cumbersome and not user friendly. Service is pretty awful. Paying and tipping before receiving food leaves no incentive. Mimosa and coffee never arrived. Water was never refilled. It seems to happen often because they have rehearsed lines asking if you still want it or should they issue a refund. Food is still pretty good. Original 5 star review: It's pretty hard to be disappointed here. From coffee to meals to dessert, it's all amazing. You may have to come multiple times to cycle through the menu (a couple times) and find a favorite. It's seems like everything new item I try becomes my favorite. Meals come out beautiful and fresh. Everything is super flavorful, with zero need to add condiments. Hot sauce is fine though. I'll have to update my comment when, if ever, I find a favorite.

We celebrated my daughter’s achievements of earning her masters.Busy indoor & outdoor eatery, lots of expanded seating inside. My daughter ordered Churro French toast w eggs , 2 slices of bacon and potatoes.Mimosa’s ($39) very pricey,was good but they don’t give you enough orange juice. I ordered double grilled chicken, egg white scramble with a tomato basil topping. Chicken was dry, not seasoned and does not come with toast or biscuit. Our tab was $180. Ridiculous for basic food. I really didn’t like the atmosphere. It felt forced. Bathroom was clean. Staff energy was off & felt odd. I give them a 3 for the great champagne for the mimosas 🤷🏽‍♀️

I recently visited the Tarzana branch of Bluejam Cafe and it was an absolute delight. The exterior of the cafe is modest, but once inside, the warm and cozy atmosphere immediately sets the tone for a great dining experience. As mentioned before, the Crunchy French Toast is an absolute must-try. It is a perfect combination of sweet and savory with a generous coating of cornflakes, topped with whipped cream, and served with warm syrup. The portion size is also very generous, making it a great value for money. In addition to the French Toast, the menu offers a range of classic breakfast and brunch items, such as eggs benedict, pancakes, and omelets, all served with a unique twist. While the food is undoubtedly the highlight of the Bluejam Cafe experience, the coffee unfortunately falls short. It is decent but not exceptional, and I was left wanting more flavor and depth. One thing to keep in mind is that there is usually a wait to be seated, so it's best to arrive early to avoid long lines. One tip is that you can put yourself on the waiting list through Yelp, which is super convenient. While the wait can be long, it is definitely worth it for the delicious food and cozy atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend Bluejam Cafe in Tarzana for anyone looking for a cozy and delicious brunch experience.

Fantastic experience. Clean professional environment. Spacious tables. excellent quality food. Has an outside dining area and two main dining areas inside connected by a walkway leading to the front. Wonderful breakfast place with excellent quality food and affordable. I got the California omelette and added ham to it. My sister got the sicilian scramble. Came with toast (with Butter and jam) and diced hash browns. The water had mint and lemon in it. I could tell it was cooked with chef expertise and experience by the taste. Phenomenal. Would go again. As a matter of fact I intend to.

It is with sadness I learned of the closing of the Tarzana location of BLU JAM CAFE. ALL OTHER LOCATIONS REMAIN OPEN. Tarzana's Blu Jam has been one of my favorites for years. The excellent staff is moving to other Blu Jam Cafes. The menu at all locations remains the same. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Blu Jam is a minimalist, upscale restaurant with an extensive brunch menu, offering conventional proteins, as well as, vegan and gluten free. Six Blu Jam Cafes are in the Los Angeles area. Open for breakfast and lunch, the Blu Jam Cafe holds occasional evening events that are announced on their web site. Little things make Blu Jam special. A cool water carafe, infused with fresh mint leaves and a lemon wedge, is delivered by a server. If you prefer cooler, ice will be supplied. Dark, rich Guatemala coffee is exclusively brewed in a French Press. The three cup carafe, brought to your table, is delicious. Not wanting to lose a drop, I took half home in a paper take-a-way cup. Ordering is done at the reception desk, where payment is accepted. NO CASH IS ACCEPTED. Payment must be made from a debit or credit card. Your meal is delivered to your table. When asked, the knowledgeable hostess helped us make selections, by describing the ingredients, "The kitchen uses meats that are antibiotic, nitrate, and hormone free. When possible, the vegetables are organic." The menu is annotated with nutritional information. I ordered Executive Chef Kamil Majer's Tex-Mex Scramble. The dish is prepared with thin slices of tofu that are stir fried into bite sized chunks. Then added are black beans, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, pico de gallo, cilantro, and chipotle peppers. Minced onion tops this generous, mildly spiced dish, which is crowned with slices of cool avocado. Served with a folded stack of warm corn tortillas, the vegan, Tex-Mex Scramble is highly recommended. The French Toast with mixed fresh fruit is huge, beautiful and, according to my wife, delicious. She took half home. Our companions, Howard and Barbara, enjoyed their meals. Howard ordered an oversized burger and Barbara designed an omelette with her favorite ingredients. Howard finished his burger, Barbara took home some omelette and fresh fruit salad. Their plates are accompanied with thick, rich, house made jam. Two specialty beers are on tap and two Mimosas are offered. They have also solved my pet peeve: loud distorted music. Their background soundtrack is solid and listenable, even on the patio. Jazz club experience makes a difference. The manager, Marcel, stopped by to ask, "Is everything ok?" It was. The restrooms are located in the rear of the cafe. They are modern and spotless. The wonderful syncopated rhythms that accompany dinning also play in the restrooms. Everything is wheelchair accessible including free, 90 minute parking. No validation is necessary. Just scan the ticket you received, when you exit. A set of level two, no fee, charging stations are located in the underground garage along the north wall. Elevators and escalators are provided. The chargers are currently under repair. (11/03/24) STUFF: Everything is ADA compatible. I was told by one of the staff that this location was opened by McDonald's, as an upscale test eatery. They spared no expense. The kitchen is a stainless steel wonder. McDonald's raw brick setting now serves as a background, for the Blue Jam Cafe.

All hail the growing Blue Jam Cafe empire! We’ve been to the Sherman Oaks location a few times, and are excited to report they have to spots in Japan, in case you happen to be in town and need really good comfort food. This visit took us to the new Tarzana location located in the spot where the Lyfe Cafe used to be, next to Whole Foods Market. Whenever we’ve gone to the Sherman Oaks location the wait, especially for weekend brunch, has been VERY long. (And deservedly so…the food is super good.) We were happy to not have to wait as long for brunch here in Tarzana (though we did still have to wait a bit. As a vegetarian, I’ve never had a bad meal at a Blu Jam and this was no exception. I had the Brunch Carbonara with no bacon - This was an incredibly delicious dish from the risotto style rice with peas, to the eggs on top. It’s a bit outside of the box if you’re looking for a standard breakfast style dish, but if you’r din the mood for something different and savory, I think you’ll find the dish very crave-worthy. I also shared a side of potatoes. These are small diced potatoes which isn’t my favorite way to have a breakfast style potatoes (I’m a hash browns or larger chunk kind of guy…you can quote me on that.) Despite that they were cooked perfect for what they were. My wife (who generally eats gluten-free) had the Rancheros - It’s over easy eggs (hold the cheddar) with a perfectly crispy tortilla, chipotle, cilantro, onions, black beans, red bell peppers, avocado and more grilled potatoes. She also thought this dish (even without the cheese and sour cream) was delicious. Perfect all around. Our kid (9 years old as of this writing) was happy enough with his side of toast, potatoes, and scrambled tofu (which came out looking sort of like scrambled eggs.) The scrambled tofu was not on menu but it was served well and unique. He ate the whole thing. They do say “No substitutions” on the menu which didn’t end up being an issue for us, but as a family with three different special diets, we often run into frustration when we want to have a dish similar to what is on the menu but not able to substitute a protein or vegetable for something else because of this policy, so we’re always a little turned off when we see “no substitutions”. On the plus side, our order took a while to get to us, which we didn’t actually notice or complain about, but the kitchen felt compelled to bring us a side of “french toast churros.” This is basically french toast with a churro coating, served with a vanilla bean sauce and mint leaves. This couldn’t have been more perfect of a dish. Sinfully delightful. Perfect from crust to tender inside. Nations should be built based around the French Toast Churros! We do wish substitutions were possible and though there are lots of vegetarian and vegan options (and the menu also helpfully labels items that are gluten-free), it would be cool if there was a faux meat offered with the many dishes that are meat based. Still, you really can’t go wrong here. All hail the French Toast Churros!

We come here anytime we find ourselves in LA. The kids love it and the food is always AMAZING. I haven't tried something there that I didn't love. Please don't miss out by not trying this place out if your in the area!

Food here is actually very good for breakfast! I ordered the egg quesadilla and my girlfriend got the rancheros. The portion sizes here are large which will leave you satisfied and the quality of ingredients used is high. Service is good as well and there are many people inside!

Came here with a friend who lives locally and recommended this spot. Blu Jam is a casual breakfast and brunch spot with multiple locations around SoCal. They have a solid variety of dishes and options, and were even featured on the local CBS NEWS station! We were greeted warmly by the woman standing at the host counter. She showed us to a nice, bright window seat and gave us the rundown. Sticking with the casual theme, once you are seated you have the option of ordering on your phone through a QR code, or going up to the host stand to order with a human. This is a nice option to have, as a lot of people now prefer to interact with as few people as possible when being out in the real world. On the other hand, I still know a lot of people who go out specifically for that interaction. One of the factors for me with ordering, is always customization. I'm big on customizing my meals; things like extra sauce, stuff on the side, etc. My concern with ordering through a website is that they often don't allow for special requests. Here, there is a section on the check-out page where you can write the name of who the order is for. After speaking with one of the guys working, he let me know that the kitchen does see notes or requests put in that section. With that, we decided to order at our own pace through the QR code. It was smooth, easy, and seamless. We put a few requests in (extra sauce on some of the items), and they accommodated. The menu online has photos of everything, which is super helpful for us visual learners! FOOD: We got a few dishes to share. The first was Chilaquiles ($17.95). These were good, not great. They allow you to customize how you want your egg cooked, and the ability to remove any ingredients. It comes with pulled chicken, which was unique and tasty! Ordered the egg over-medium, and they were pretty close to perfect. This was one of the dishes we ordered extra sauce for. The extra sauce came on the side, though I noticed the sauce to be a bit watery. This in turn caused the chips to get soggy at a faster rate than preferred. We also tried the Brunch Carbonara ($17.95), which was a rice based dish with poached eggs. The presentation on this was really cool, especially with the green coloring. It was flavorful and definitely hearty. Based on Yelp photos, we knew we had to try the breakfast potatoes. Neither of our dishes came with them, so we ordered a side. This was another dish we had a special request for (extra crispy). I will say, they did NOT disappoint. They were crispy, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely a must try when visiting Blu Jam! These were just items from the brunch menu. There is also an entire lunch menu with items such as elevated salads, sandwiches, tacos, burgers, and more! They also have a great selection of drinks, including: coffees, teas, mimosas, beer, cocktails, freshly squeezed juices, and more! We ordered the freshly squeezed OJ and a rose matcha latte. The OJ wasn't the best I've had, though I was pleasantly surprised by the latte! Overall I would definitely recommend checking out Blu Jam Cafe! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful, and the service was quick. Despite using QR codes to order, there is no shortage of staff around to ask questions. The food was fine, the service was good. I am not a huge fan of ordering off of my phone and I know I could've gone up to the front and that wasn't anything I wanted to do as well. If you want your order placed by a live human at your table this place isn't for you. Otherwise everything was good, I was not happy how my egg was cooked but again if I would've had a live person while ordering this may have not been an issue. Ambiance was empty we were like first ones there. My only advice to BLU Jam is replace your carafe's with glass! The plastic plant aquarium look with water residue stuck to the bottle makes the water not look refreshing if anything it looks like swap water at best. I can't really recommend this place, I will not be visiting another location so if you do it's at your own risk. For the price of food I want better service and clean water products at my table.

Sad to hear this location closed. It was so much more accessible and parking was easier than the Sherman oaks location. UPDATE: as a customer service rep, what is the point of your response? Doesn't serve your customer well or provide a service. Thanks for your input to a "sad" post and speaking down to a customer. I'll be sure to avoid all Blu Jam locations in the future or better yet I'll leave a negative review since the last time I ate at this location it was underwhelming and had gone downhill in service.

Came here Saturday morning. Street metered parking and parking in the back. Had a group of 6 and only waited about 10 mins before 10am U can order through QR code at your table or upfront with the lady. I forgot to add protein and went back and was told it was too late to make a change even though it was only 5 mins later which kinda through me off Churro French toast was amazing and the best thing i had. The breakfast burrito i made the mistake of forgetting bacon or sausage and removing the cheese. Definitely took all the flavor out of it. Crunchy French toast was really good, i wondered where the syrup was but the secret batter is a great replacement. I'd come back again and make sure i ordered things the way i should've lol

I was so happy to come here after I heard so much about it. They have so many locations to the California. They are parking in the residential area or you can find metered parking. The orange shoes is freshly squeeze in the junior shots with lemon but absolutely delicious. These are seriously some deep shot glasses lol that Chilaquiles was really good. I just wish I had more crunchy chips, but other than that, it was really tasty. I ate the whole thing. The hostess and the servers are super nice and the food came out really fast. It's more of an industrial spot not the most fancy, but it was clean.

Came here on a Sunday morning during brunch hours (11AMish / 12PM) and was able to get a seat right away. The place is pretty big and seats a lot. Seats are offered indoor and outdoor. Tables are seated and you will be asked to order on the online menu through QR code or order at the kiosk at the front. Once your food is ordered it's about a 10minute wait to get your entrees and that's as much service as you will get. I thought the food was decent, wish it was a little warmer but not bad. The experience was very straight forward. I don't think I'd return just because I like a more personable experience while dining in. Especially if you're paying a premium. We ordered a omelette, eggs benedict & a side of toast plus two drinks and it totaled to around $70. J thought it was expensive for what it is. The highlight of the experience was the hash. Everything else is just as expected. Everything was SO under-salted and lacked all around. I usually don't grab the salt shaker but I totally had to sprinkle on a decent amount to bring some flavors out. Not bad, not great... ps parking is an additional cost as you leave the structure.

You need a phone to order here. It is cashless so you pay immediately when you order. The food was brought out fast but does not taste fast at all. I was trying to explore a bit so I ordered the Shashuka. I'm glad I ordered it because it was so good. I almost cleaned the plate from how good it was. It was a tomato dish with poached eggs and toast. The Migas was also very good. It is a good breakfast or brunch meal to settle your appetite. The Lavender Latte was awesome. I love coffee and the smell of lavender so having it together was perfect. I got there at the right time because that Latte is seasonal. The environment is very open and relaxing. To my fellow foodies this is a spot to visit for brunch time.

What an absolutely disappointing and quite frankly absurdly ridiculous experience. Came in and ordered the name sake dish... blu jam Benedict but asked to have crispy potatoes. Food comes out with soggy potatoes. So I ask the manager what happened and she tells me with a straight face, we can't make the potatoes crispy because they have already been cooked and have been sitting there. Mind you this plate is $18.95 for some eggs and potato's with a bit of ham and bacon. So then tells me there's no way make them crispy.. I ask to send it back and be refunded. What restaurant can't crisp potato's? And then she comes back to tell me we're trying to cook them again to make them crispy with a different method of preparation. My food just came back, cold eggs benny but hot crispy potatoes. This place used to be really good but I'm truly shocked, disappointed, and my mind is blown. What an absolutely terrible experience. I'm leaving this place hungry. Good job blu jam! Also, the manager at this location needs to be fired immediately. This entire experience could've been rectified had she actually cared about her job and the customers who pay her wages. She told me she was unable to refund me because I ordered via their stupid online system and that the general manager would have to refund me tomorrow. Tell me why when I asked for some sort of receipt of the refund, she just went to the system and processed the refund on the spot. To the owner of blu jam. Reach out to me. I'd love to discuss the many ways you can improve your dying business, at least for the tarzana location. It used to be so packed and now look at it.. sad. Never in all my years have I had such an experience from any restaurant I've ever dined at. This was by far the worst dining experience of my life and I hope no one else experiences what I did because they'll be left flabbergasted and disgusted by the sheer incompetence of the employees.

Enjoyed our brunch today at Blu Jam! Food was prepared well, with the star being the potato hash that comes with the entrees. The Norwegian benny was good - prepared well and hollandaise was tasty. Brunch burger was Ok. You order via QR code and they just bring everything to your table. Good ambiance, plenty of seating and space. I appreciate the convenience and self service aspect but with the prices and tip I'd expect just a bit more service. Again everything was fine, four stars for overall value. I would come back to try something else and for the potatoe hash! Oh yea, don't sleep on the French press coffee! It was delicious and had me buzzing all day!

This is a tough review because I did enjoy my food, however the experience at the restaurant itself was not for me. You have to order your food through an app, even your drinks (I had to make an account first which was slightly annoying because I was hangry!), and then the runners bring your food out. If you want extra condiments you even have to order it on the app, otherwise you'll have to ask one of the runners. I was trying to get ketchup and asked a runner but he forgot. They only come to your table to bring your food, they don't check on you at all. Not my favorite dining experience, but I did enjoy the french toast and the omelette I had. We came with a group so it was easy to all order separately and have different bills. I don't think I would come back but I think it might be worth giving their food a try if you are looking for a new breakfast spot.

Food was fine. Their jam used to be one of my favorites but for some reason it didn't taste the same as I remember? The service was fine- although I ordered and paid via the QR code on the table so there was minimal interaction with staff. It WAS convenient though, not having to leave your seat to order. The ambiance is always nice, they have both indoor and outdoor seating available.

The quality of the food I get here wildly varies from each experience. Service is nonexistent since you order on your phone. Ambiance is giving cafeteria. I've dined in once but usually order delivery. Today my order was half missing, Eggs Benedict with only 1 egg, no bacon, 1 ham, and the cup of hollandaise on the side was smushed into the one egg I did get. Usually this meal is delicious and more picturesque, as evidenced by my other photo, but today they were way off. So disappointing! Strawberry mint drink is delicious, though.

Lazy business model. Scan the QR code, order yourself from your phone like you're at a bar, someone drops off the food and then you never see another worker the rest of the meal. Have a question about the menu? Too bad. Need extra water? Too bad, need any condiments that aren't on the table, too bad. Nobody even comes remotely around that you could flag down for help. The 2 workers that were there just stood at the front the whole time talking and waiting for a take out order.

Being that this place is in a prime location I had high expectations. Crunchy French Toast: 5 out of 5 Star of the show, perfectly moist and delicious. Enough crunch and moistness, we got the heart special that is stuffed with vanilla and jam. Wow just wow great dish. Blu Jam Benedict: 3 out of 5 Good but was lacking something lacked flavor. Potatoes needed ketchup which means by itself they were kind of boring. Sharshuka: 2 out of 5 For a veggie dish it was mostly tomatoes and that's about all you tasted. Over powered everything it was like a plate of thick marinera. Chicken Sausage: 2 out of 5 Again it is messing something maybe some spicy component or black pepper. Over all service was okay, half service type of restaurant they do not pick up your plates after you are done so you can have a clean table to have a conversation and enjoy your dessert. Again high expectations especially since it was an $80.00 breakfast.

! This place has become a Thursday Tradition for my wife, toddler, and myself. Food is great, service even better, managers are always welcoming, and warm and accommodating.

This is a casual place, good for 1 to 6 people. Their mode of service is to scan a QR code and then order by putting in your credit card info. The other option is ordering at the front. This is good if you like to split the bill. The food itself is okay, but nothing superbly memorable. Parking is in a lot or on the street at metered spaces.

Literally since I've been pregnant this has been my go to spot for breakfast. The blue jam Benedict isn't to filling but yet has satisfied all of my morning cravings along with the mocha latte. Every time we come here it's never too busy & makes it the perfect spot to have a brunch date with my husband. The servers and the staff are always so friendly & amazing. Never once thus far has it ever been a disappointment to come & eat here. & as a bonus the food never takes long to come out!

Decent wait time with the ability to wait list on your phone which is nice...crunchy French toast was delish. The quesadilla comes with a wheaT tortilla which was not the best...spinach inside es over cooked...not much flavor. Wouldn't order it again. The potatoes were really good. The side of bacon was only 3 pieces so not worth the extra money. Also you order through your phone on the table and they bring it to your table.

Been coming here for years! The food is always wonderful. Even though it's popular they have an easy way of reserving a space for you just jump on their website and join the waiting list and by the time you head over the wait isn't too long. One thing, I have noticed that changed (I'm assuming it was from COVID) is that they don't have service, which kind be kinda tricky to track someone down when you need ranch, or creamer, or have questions. If they brought back service I would give 5 stars.

Always good food. You don't necessarily have a server. It's a QR code, you order through there and they bring your food to the table. Still good though

This place is amazing! Brought my son for his 22nd birthday and this place didn't disappoint. Drinks were tasty, food delish and the entire place was great. Will definitely be back!

Food is delicious, restaurant is nice but the only thing I don't like is that you need to order from the QR code and they still ask for tip.

My go to for brunch ! It's super fresh and good quality ! Coffee drinks are actually good. My favorite is the chicken chilaquiles. Only weird thing is that you scan a QR code to order and pay and they bring the food to you. Service is good when you do see them tho ! I also like the fact that they are eco friendly

I haven't been at this location before so we decided to have brunch here with two families. We used Yelp to get on the waiting list before driving here so that saved us a lot of time. When we got there we were seated within the given time. Once I checked in I got a free ginger shot offer which was delicious. I really enjoyed it. The offer said one for each person in the group but we got 4 shots. We ordered a breakfast burrito, a chilaquiles and a Shackshuka. I loved the chilaquiles, it tasted really good. The breakfast burrito wasn't that good but we enjoyed the shackshuka. As far as food goes I would say it's pretty good but honestly I didn't like the way the restaurant operates. You basically place an order from your phone then a runner brings your food. There is no waiter service to check on you if you need anything while eating but they do recommend you pay them an 18% service fee, I'm not sure how fair that is. You pay restaurant prices but get fast food place service. Overall a good place to eat.

This was my first time visiting. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated which is not bad for a Sunday afternoon. Once we were seated we were not informed you have to place your own order until after waiting approximately 30 minutes. The QR code on our table was wet so it didn't work. One of the guys told us to use a QR code from another table. After placing the order it didn't direct me to pay and would freeze. Finally the same guy said he would place the order for us. We waited 40 minutes just to place our order. The food came really quick. I order the omelette and it was good with a little salt and hot sauce.

My favorite breakfast spot! The food is always so yummy especially their French toast, the matcha is my go to drink. The place is super cute and staff is always really nice. I love coming here!

Cute restaurant, good service. Love the way they serve their water looks so cute . I had the Cobb salad it was good. Plenty of different drinks like coffee cold or hot etc.

Great breakfast atmosphere in Tarzana! Perfect outdoor seating. Friendly staff and service was great. Food choices were good and portion sizes were large. The quesadilla was flavorful! They provided us with a complementary crepe and it was delicious. Will return!

I love their crispy potatoes and egg dishes here. Plenty of underground and metered street parking. Plenty of vegan options too.

Came to Blu Jam for late breakfast this Friday morning since weekends are so busy. Glad I finally tried it. We were immediately seated, however, they have different ordering protocols than most restaurants. There isn't a waiter/server that comes to your table to take your order. Instead, you can either order online after being seated, which was sorta annoying because I didn't feel like creating an online account, or walk over to the front and have them place your order through their system using your table number. I opted for the latter option, which was fine. We ordered the rancheros, their signature dish -crunchy French toast- and the eggwich sandwich. The eggwich sandwich was average. It would have been better without the lettuce and if the bacon had been more crispy. I got a lot of fatty pieces of uncooked bacon in my sandwich. However, their side grilled potatoes were delicious -well seasoned and perfectly browned. As for their signature dish, I'm not sure what the hype is all about. It was okay. The fruit on top was a bit mushy and the French bread was pretty average. The vanilla bean sauce, however, is very good. As far the ranchero, I highly recommend it. Everything about it was absolutely delicious. The tortillas were perfectly crispy. The eggs were perfectly cooked and slightly running. Eating the yolk with the potatoes was delicious. All the ingredients were fresh. The fresh avocado put it over the top. Probably the best breakfast dish I have ever had. I would definitely come back for the ranchero breakfast. Portions are huge. Easy, underneath parking and friendly service.

Why isn't Blu Jam Cafe packed? I'm sitting here in an empty restaurant, where underground parking is free for 90 minutes and the food slams. Ordering is contactless, but if you're a newbie like me, the kind staff is very helpful. I'm eating the breakfast carbonara--bacon, peas, cheese risotto, with 2 perfect poached eggs on top. The French pressed coffee is the best around. Some places just get it right.

Who doesn't love brunch?!? I think Sunday's were made to have brunch. We used the waitlist feature on yelp and our table was actually ready much sooner than the estimated wait time. They have lots of outdoor seating which was perfect for a nice Sunday. They do have it set up that you scan the QR code, place your order and pay ahead. You can also order from the counter and just remember your table number. Crunchy French toast was definitely crunchy and tasty but they skimped out on the powdered sugar. I got the berries on the side to make sure they didn't make the French toast soggy. Don't forget to use the vanilla sauce, drizzle it and dip it! The breakfast pasta was really good too although when it came out it wasn't hot but it was warm. It was not as cheesy as I would have liked but it did hit the spot. Loved that it had plenty of bacon and ham. It balanced the sweet with a savory dish. There's street and garage parking in the back of the building.

Staff was great and the food was tasty. My vegetarian omelette was great. The potato's are tasty and I would definitely recommend them with anything you get. The signature French toast is also excellent. Ambiance was nice. My freind and I got a table with no wait on a Sunday morning at 9:30 am, and had a nice leisurely breakfast without being rushed or hurried.

Amazing environment to enjoy a meal with friends and family. The services is amazing with staff being very attentive. Honestly the food is amazing. Great menu!

The food was good but I am sad that they no longer have the lox breakfast bagel. I was really looking forward to it. Instead they have the Norwegian Benedict which was still okay but I didn't come here for this. My aunt really enjoyed her chilaquiles. She said the best part were the chicken and the black beans. The ambiance was okay too. We sat in the back which the lights were dim and I felt like I was in a dungeon. The service I would rate 2/5. The only way to order was through the phone or an iPad they had. I honestly prefer a human to talk to me instead of using an electronic device. As soon as we were told we had to order using an electric device, I automatically felt an unfriendliness feeling and for that I got discourage to never come here again.

Food took forever and they have roaches on tables And they accept no cash at all. If you come here, check your food

I went there yesterday after not having been there for a couple of years. I have always always had a great experience there and never really minded the wait times to be seated. The food had always been great. I was unaware of the change that has taken place. You have to order on your phone and some options don't allow you to customize and so you have to wait and let them know. The food came before the coffee. I had the Chilaquiles and it was more like a soup than a thick sauce that's supposed to be on the tortillas. The plate was full of tortillas and a couple of eggs that were so small. I left more than half the plate. It felt disconnected being there. I don't plan on ever going back there again.

Awful food. Hubs and I ordered the same thing (grilled cheese). He ordered the side salad and I ordered the potatoes. Cheese had no taste, lettuce was old and slimy and the potatoes came cold (odd, since the sandwich was hot). What's also peculiar to me is the request for a tip when there is virtually no service (self-serve kiosk). I tipped 15 percent but wished I didn't tip anything.

Food was horrible. Had to force ourselves to eat our food. Waste of money. Horrible food. Service was good. Salad was flavorless. Chilaquiles was not good and had raw egg.

Came here on a Sunday morning for brunch with a large group to celebrate my wife's birthday. Between the six of us, we must've ordered just about one of everything lol. We had to wait for 30 or 40 minutes so we were seated around 11 AM. The only way you can get on the Yelp waiting list is by using the kiosk at the restaurant itself - you cannot put your name on the Yelp waiting list online at this location. The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic, the prices are definitely not cheap but worth it. No particular atmosphere per se but we had a wonderful time. 4.5 stars rounded up to five and definitely recommend it.

The food here is nothing special. I'm writing this as I'm not even halfway done with my food. I just ordered the breakfast burrito with the side of potatoes. I thought, for the price that they serve it at, it would be a good sized portion. Much to my disappointment, it was about a six inch burrito with a width of three inches. The side of potatoes was also not a lot. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not someone who necessarily NEEDS a humongous burrito and side of potatoes. However, considering the 17.95 paid for it on the delivery app, I would expect a bigger portion. I've gotten burritos for half the price that a bigger and more flavorful than this. I'll even attach a picture to this review to show how one half literally fits in the palm of my hand (I am a 5'1 woman... I mostly took the picture for my own amusement). I wouldn't have minded that the portions were smaller, but they had almost no flavor! The potatoes are good... it's decently hard to mess up on that. But the burrito!! The star of the dish only had flavor from the pico de gallo and some of the cheese they put in it. The egg tasted of only egg, pretty bland for a scrambled egg. Not to mention, I paid extra money for salsa verde on the side for both of my burritos. I was very disappointed when they came without it. I would understand if one of them came without it, but both of them? For an order that is literally exactly the same. It also said it on the receipt! When I tried to call beforehand over my order to ask if they can put chipotle aioli on the side as well, it felt insane to me that they don't even have someone that would be able to pick up the phone. There were only two options when I called: press 1 for location information and press 4 to speak to someone regarding management in which you leave your information and they respond within 24 hours. Very interesting way for a business to be ran. I'm not one who likes to trash on businesses. I'm glad some people enjoy them. However, as a first time costumer that finally decided to try them out after years of hearing about them, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. The food I received was also lacking in many ways. Maybe if they had put the salsa verde, the lack of flavor would have gone unnoticed. It would've been hilarious if the salsa also didn't have much flavor. Anyways, I would not recommend this place. Maybe they have better items. Personally, I would not come here again considering all the other great breakfast places in the valley.

I would say I definitely like blue jam cafe there. Food is usually pretty good as well as the turnaround time for the food can be quite good. I will say I'm not a fan of having to order through their website/ app, but I guess that's a turn of the future. Even though I will say if you request it, I believe they will have somebody take your order in person if you would like. I believe they prefer that you do it online though. I will say as far as parking, luckily the shopping center has an underground parking lot, but I don't remember how long free parking is so I would keep that in mind, but otherwise not a bad spot to check out for breakfast/ brunch

Always been a fan on Blue Jam cafe. I have been to the Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, and DTLA locations. They offer so much yumminess, quality food, and consistency between all locations. It was my first time going to the Tarzana location and it did not disappointment. In the new age of Covid, Blue Jam did an amazing job with keeping everyone safe and being compliant. There is a line to wait for a table. There are marks on the ground to socially distant everyone. In the line, I was able to check out all the tables and see their cleaning process. They have dedicated people that clean and have a marked pathway for traffic flow. Once you get to your seat, there is a QR code to order and pay for your meal. Once we were seated we were given condiments, water, and sealed utensils. We knew exactly what we wanted so we started the process via phone. We ordered the egg sandwich, the chilaquiles with avocados instead of chicken, fresh squeezed orange juice, and ginger shots. After placing our order, the drinks came out quickly and the food shortly after. The experience was absolutely great! If you're a newbie to Blue Jam, I recommend the French toast too. Sometimes I order it as an appetizer to share with the table, but it was the two of us so no appetizers today. I'm a fan on the chilaquiles so it's hard not to deviate from my normal. The fresh squeezed OJ is omg amazing! Soooo fresh, so yummy, your tastebuds will thank you! Our waiter gave us a nice tip as well. Check in on Yelp and your ginger shot is free!

Ordered their crunchy french toast for delivery. $20 through DoorDash but it was worth it, especially after a night of partying. I love the white milky sauce that comes with it. For delivery, it held up decently. Obviously better if you ate it there, but ya know. The fruits included with the entree were fresh and everything was MMM.MMMM Delicious!

If you're looking for a quick brunch spot with some great menu items, this is your spot. I hadn't had brunch in a while so I decided to stop here and have a quick bite. The atmosphere is casual. You scan the barcode on the table pick out what you want to eat, and then go to a computer on the counter and order/ pay. They bring the food out for you. It's fast but less personable. I ended up going with the open faced, egg white omelette. You can choose 4 additional to add to it. I got chicken sausage, spinach, mushrooms and mozzarella. It comes with a choice of potatoes or a mixed green salad on the side which I choose. It was good, it came out fast and when I did my yelp check in I got a free shot of ginger juice which was good. The prices are expensive so check those out before committing. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. All in all, I enjoyed my meal, had leftovers and felt like it was a bit pricey.

Wow! I came from Florida and this was the first place I visited. Amazing breakfast!! A great amount of food for a great price! The potatoes were sooo good! The so much protein in the eggs, it was filling! I couldn't finish it all haha. I wish we had this place in south Florida!! I'll be dreaming of this spot.
