More of a 2.5 from me, but I'll round up if only to discontinue my recent 2-star review streak.
I came here once pre-pandemic and thought it was pretty good, but I guess not good enough to return or write a review. I've been wanting to come back so I did tonight. Not as good this time as I remember my first experience being.
Sushi bar is closed for seating which is understandable with COVID. The interior is small so I sat outside and thankfully they had heating lamps since it's October.
I ordered the Blu Karma maki ($21), rainbow maki ($17), ikura nigiri ($8), and lychee martini ($13.50). In general, the ingredients were fresh, but it wasn't the best sushi I've ever had. The portion sizes did not justify the high prices.
Blu Karma maki was the best food item I ordered. Fresh and flavorful, although I wish the price was lower or the roll was bigger because while I liked it, I don't think it was worth the price. Something about the ikura tasted off that I can't quite describe but I still ate it.
Rainbow maki was kind of weird. Every other sushi place I've visited has crab(stick), cucumber, avocado, and/or shrimp tempura instead, but this one just had crabstick and tobiko mixed with spicy mayo. I wasn't really a fan of that combination. It was okay otherwise.
Lychee martini was good. Not too sweet or too strong with noticeable lychee flavor and came with a lychee fruit. Still, I've had better elsewhere.
Service was decent enough. Hostess was very friendly. Waiter not so much, but he wasn't rude. Just came to take my order and give me my food, drink, and check.
I probably won't be back any time soon for the same reason I didn't come back until recently. There's other sushi restaurants that comparable quality with better prices and portion sizes closer to me.
