Alligator bites, Grilled Oysters, Crab cakes, Strawberry lemonade, and a Blue Bayou Daiquiri and it was phenomenal! The customer attentiveness, PERFECT 10! As soon as the lemonade cup was empty, our waiter literally was at the table 5 seconds later and back with the refill in 30 seconds, and I tip extra for things like that; it’s small but it matters. The restaurant was packed however, we still received hot fresh food! It amazes me how I go to restaurants that aren’t busy whatsoever, the waitress is overwhelmed, and the food is cold. Totally not the case at Blue Bayou, loved that! We spent over 140 bucks, well worth it! I forgot the waiters name, however I’m still going to sing his praises. He was patient, his small talk felt very genuine, he seemed to really enjoy his position, and was on top of EVERYTHING. Thanks again for your wonderful energy and thank you Blue Bayou for a wonderful experience and the gentleman that was singing, nice touch!

Google
Blue Bayou Restaurant came highly recommended by TikTokers—and they did not disappoint! We made 8 PM reservations and were pleasantly seated ahead of schedule with no wait at all. The ambiance was stunning, giving off a true bayou vibe. A large, beautifully lit tree stretched across the ceiling with hanging sea moss that created an enchanting atmosphere. Every detail felt like a love letter to New Orleans. Our server, Remy, was amazing—attentive, personable, and treated us like family. The drinks were fantastic, and while the food took about 20 minutes to come out, it was understandable given the crowd—and totally worth the wait. One of the best parts of the night was the live saxophone player, which added a smooth and soulful soundtrack to an already unforgettable experience. It’s also worth noting this is a cashless establishment. I didn’t mind it at all—they had signs clearly posted, so you knew what to expect. Another gem in NOLA. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal and vibe in the heart of the city!

This restaurant is amazing! We came to New Orleans for the charbroiled oysters and normally goto Draygo’s but decided to try Blue Bayou this time! When I say they are better than Draygo’s hands down! We even added fresh crab to ours! Lawdy! Sooo good! In addition to this we had a fish poboy with Cajun fries with a side of shrimp! OMG! It was soooooo delicious! The flavor was amazing with everything we had! I pray this restaurant stays open until we return bc it’s the best on Canal in my opinion! Please give them a try! 10++++++++++++++ You will not be disappointed! Go and support! 🙏 🙌🥰🥰🥰

We've been here 3 days in a row for lunch and each day the food and vibe was excellent. The Charbroiled oysters are good but we prefer Drago's but their salads are so fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed the catfish and jambalaya because both were seasoned to perfection. Our server Erica on Sunday was sweet, professional and very attentive. This a place you must stop by on your stroll on Canal St.

Google
Visited this place while in New Orleans for Essence weekend. It was pretty late when we arrived. There was a bit of a wait but they were moving pretty fast. They played music and had a saxophonist which made us forget about the wait. I ordered an Old Fashion which was 10/10! Along with Shrimp and Grits which was well seasoned and delicious. Our server was rushing us but overall decent. When I'm back in the city I'll definitely try this place again.

Google
I had such a wonderful dining experience at Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orleans! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming—yet relaxed, with just the right touch of Southern charm. The live entertainment added a special touch to the evening, creating the perfect backdrop to our meal without being overwhelming. Amir-Derrick is truly talented. The food was nothing short of amazing. I ordered the shrimp platter and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also shared the chargrilled oysters, and they were some of the best I've ever had—smoky, buttery, and packed with flavor. A special shoutout to Ceddrica, our server, who truly made our night. She was so sweet and hospitable to both me and my mom, making us feel right at home. Her warmth and attentiveness took our experience to the next level. We received the best service from her! If you're in New Orleans and looking for a great meal with an inviting ambiance and top-tier service, Blue Bayou is a must-visit!

Our server, Asante, made us feel so welcomed. This was my friend’s first NOLA experience and she was elated. Blue Bayou’s menu hits all flavor palettes for me! Delicious EVERYTHING!

Google
Great service, ambience and food (of course). We had hurricane and blue bayou drinks, followed by alligator bites, jambalaya and gumbo for starters. For main dishes we had blackened redfish and shrimp and grits. Both were amazing!! Desserts were great as well....deep fried bread pudding and brownie praline. Definitely worth a visit!!

Yelp
The red beans and rice was easily my favorite meal during my weekend trip. It was so simple, yet so perfectly made! The restaurant's vibe was very nice as they featured a live drummer who played to hits of yesterday and today. The server/bartender Jennifer was so amazing. Overall the staff was very sweet, the bathrooms were clean, and the food was yummy and fast! I'd definitely return for some oysters! I was able to sit and watch them being cooked as I ate.

Yelp
This was the first place I ate once I touched down in NOLA. The chargrilled oysters were EVERYTHING and the sampler hit! We sat at the bar and the service was great, the young lady was very friendly and helpful on what to pick off the menu. The place is very spacious and very inviting. When you see the alligator that standing outside, you know you have arrived.

Yelp
Jamala, you are great! Food: delicious! We had shrimp and grits, jambalaya, chargrilled oysters and the Mardi Gras pasta! Everything was spot on and soooo tasty!! Jambalaya was attentive, without being intrusive, she was quick, and at the ready if we needed anything! We did not have a reservation, mid July, but they were able to accommodate us! We were so appreciative! Delicious!!!

Yelp
I guess this place is supposedly a tourist trap but I had an overall fine experience. We were seated immediately. Took some time for our server to come by. Had been meaning to try alligator so got the fried alligator. Honestly just tastes like chicken. Server was friendly. Got our food fast. Drinks are STRONG.

Yelp
My friends and I were walking down canal street and wanted to try something without looking it up before and we stumbled upon this place. It looked really nice inside as the whole front was open and they even had a live jazz band. We were seated and the first things we thought of ordering were def the oysters. We got a dozen of them and they were so good! They tasted so fresh, the cocktail sauce had good flavor and the horse radish wasn't too strong. We shared the sampler plate which consisted of Jambalaya, Gumbo, Red beans and rice, & crawfish étouffée. We initially didn't want the red beans and rice but our server recommended it to us and we were pleasantly surprised on how good it was! My favorite was definitely the crawfish étouffée as it was packed with different levels of flavor. I will say, the gumbo was a bit too salty for my liking. We also ordered drinks; I got the lemon drop and my friends ordered the daiquiri's. Mine was perfect for my tasting as it wasn't too sweet. Theirs was also good but it was very thick and sweet which isn't my preference for drinking. All in all, this place was really good and I'm glad it was our first eats in the NOLA area!

Yelp
An immersive dining experience near the French Quarter of NOLA. My group pivoted here after needing to find a spot open later into the night and Blue Bayou did not disappoint. The vibes felt like you were entering a NOLA inspired restaurant. Live music greeted you and friendly workers helped lead the way. The food was also great! A little on the pricy end but packed with flavor. We ordered the individual cups of NOLA classic dishes. Surprisingly, the Crawfish etouffe was the star of the show as the creamy flavor packed a punch as well. The individual cups let you try the dishes while still being substantial enough to fulfill a full meal. Overall, a great introduction to classic NOLA cuisine and a great experience as well.

Yelp
Went here for dinner with my husband and friends and must say we all enjoyed ourselves. Special thanks for the greeter being able to get us a table for four with no reservation. The ambiance was just right, the setting had somewhat of a forest look and the person singing live did great. My classic margarita was made to perfection and the shrimp and grits was so filling I could not eat it all. I did sample one of my friend's oyster Rockefeller and it was to die for. If you have not eaten here, you must. Note: it is a cashless restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Jenna is our server. She was amazing and took care of us like a Rockstar. The ambiance was classic NOLA style restaurant and it brought me back to Disney's Princess and the Frog. Got some live entertainment in the corner. Decor was nice. And let's not forget our server with her cute New Orleans accent. She was totally honest and on point with her recommendations. Thanks Blue Bayou for wonderful food, service, and vibe.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Service from Albert was Excellent and the ambiance is just a party vibe! It's on Canal Street and it has plenty of shops. There was also LIVE music going on. Just get here and enjoy yourself!

Yelp
Walking around Canal St with friends/family and ran into this place. Had to wait 15-20 min to get in on a Saturday nite. It was loud inside because they had live music playing. The menu is pretty basic as far as selection goes....clearly for tourists. I ordered the Seafood Platter with Catfish, Hushpuppies & Fries. The rest of the time at Blue Bayou was bad. The server had an attitude because she was tired doing her job and covering for someone else. Took 20 minutes for people in with to get their drinks. Catfish and other peoples food tastes smokey like the grease hasn't been change in awhile. I call the manager over and ask a few questions and one of the people I'm with starts to get into it with the manager. To the managers credit she kept her cool and figured things out. Others things happened but I'll leave it right there. Not a good experience and a bad night.

Yelp
We loved this place. First we didn't eat oysters, we are not oyster people! The food we had was amazing. The shrimp and grits and Mardi Gras pasta was yummy. My fave and I do recommend was the bread pudding here. It was one of the best I had in the city! Our waitress was amazing and we loved the atmosphere. It reminds you of the Princess and the frog. There was live music and it's super close to Bourbon Street! It was not crowded when we went but you can make reservations if you would like. I highly suggest this place!

Yelp
I might scream at how good this food was. The jambalaya was perfectly seasoned and had a good amount of meat. I want to scream this was my first meal in Nola and it was perfect. The oysters were HOT and flavorful. We were sat immediately and the staff treated us so well. I love the vibe it's cozy and spacious. I really will be back before I leave.

Yelp
The restraint was short staffed. Once we were seated it took 17 minutes before our server recognized us. He admitted that he was not only serving but also had to bus tables and prepare the food for customers. The food was really good and this place has a lot of potential if they can get the service part figured out. Special thanks to our server who was very apologetic and made it worth staying for us. It would get less stars if it was not for this person!

Yelp
Food - the red beans and rice was very flavorful and it came with 1 long piece of sausage cut in half. It was enough for 2 of us to eat. 10/10 The chargrilled oysters were delicious. We also had crab meat added to our oyster ($8 up charge) and the melted the cheese on the top of it. Amazing! 10/10 Service- the server was helpful and kind. He even help to make food suggestions 10/10. The bill for 12 oysters, 1 red beans and rice, and 1 drink was $100. 3/10 Ambiance- the place is well decorated and has an amazing astatic view. There was live entertainment with a guy singing and playing a trumpet to background music. 10/10
google avatar

Yelp
The food was great but the service was not. It wasn't even busy and it took our server forever to greet us and she was not attentive. Also apparently they don't have mustard or mayo just honey mustard and spicy mayo. I will say the cheeseburger was flavorful and the stuffed redfish was great. The jambalaya on the side was also good.

Yelp
Just came from the restaurant after a long flight. We were filled with excitement knowing we are in a city on our bucket list. I wanted fried oysters but the suggested place was closed. After walking a block we ran into this place with live music. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. We waited 20 minutes before we were acknowledged after being seated. The place smelled of marijuana and all of the waitresses look like they just finished a joint. I had to flag someone down who with a disinterested expression walked away to get our wait staff. She brought my wine when dinner was over. They were out of butter so no char grilled oysters which is what they say they are famous for. Jambalaya was ok, fried oysters salty. The atmosphere was cute. Good luck if you check this place out. No going again.

Yelp
The food is absolutely incredible! The service is NOT! Atmosphere is very busy but very neat.

Yelp
Tourist trap!!! BEWARE. First don't bother making a reservation they don't go by those. lol depending on time and day you will be met with a long line. Luckily they were working hard on getting the line down. I really only came to try the oyster and they were average. I've had better. The alligator was good tho. The sauce was good and tangy. I would definitely recommend those. The live music was a nice touch. Our server was nice too. Would I go again. No but something you should try at least once .

Yelp
Chefs kiss. This placed is always packed and full of life. Right on Canal Street. I sat at the bar since I was by myself. Started myself off with a nice drink. The bartender so was nice and funny. I loved her accent! I watched as they grilled the oysters...and the food smell filled the air. I tried a few different things. They were all very tasty. I'm not sure what happened to my photos and videos I had but somehow I was able to salvage a photo. Definitely I great food spot to visit. The best oysters I had out there.

Yelp
I came on a Saturday afternoon for an early dinner, and had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. I'd say that the interior of the restaurant is a bit dreary, it's pretty dimly lit. The servers were really nice! We had a good chat and they recommended things to do around the area. As for the food, I'd say there are better places in New Orleans to get jumbalaya and gumbo. I got the Taste of the Bayou Combo, and wasn't full after finishing my meal either. I'd say for the money, you can find better places to eat.
google avatar

Suki P.

Yelp
Expensive so we already know that... we are in the tourist trap. It was Accross the street from our hotel so we gave it a try Ordered: Gator bites - crunchy and delicious Crab cake- mehhh I've had better, it was grainy 12 Oysters Cajun style was chefs kiss. Our server Emily was sweet and answered all our questions. Loved the theme and overall vibe. High end but worth a try. Honestly I would go there again for the alligator bites and that's it.
google avatar

Denise W.

Yelp
First place I stopped too and was not disappointed by no means the service was excellent and the food and drinks were on point. The fried catfish was super fresh and very tasty and the fries were very good as well. The oysters omg I think I caught feeling they were so dang on good. Wow like seriously can't stop raving about them. The Daiquiris they so good o had to recover in the parking garage and just listen to the music because I felt every sip sooooo delicious but be careful it will cause you to be still for a minute lol ( start to feel real nice ) Blue Bayou I'll be back 10 stars
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Had dine-in service. I will say that the food was fresh and hot. Chargrilled oysters were standard. No issues. The crab cakes were great. More crab than breading which is what I like. The Mardi Gras pasta, stuffed fish, & vegetables could've used more seasoning. Now...the vegetables were straight out of the frozen section of the store. We could tell that. But the star of the show was the desserts. The fried bread pudding was an amazing concept. I loved tasting the different textures. The cheesecake wasn't too sweet. They were delicious. Now as far as the ambiance, it was loud in there. We did find ourselves having to talk louder to hear eachother. But the entertainment was great. They had a singer and he played a few instruments as well. It was great for a dinner and yap session

Yelp
When my friends and I visited NO for a bachelor party a couple months ago, we were starving by the time we got to our VRBO and luckily this beaut was right across the street. We walked in and waited a couple minutes to be noticed to be seated. After being sat, we all ordered our much needed adult beverages and food. I got the 'sampler' of the traditional foods and it was really good. Loved the red beans and rice. The drinks were good but not strong enough, mostly sugar juice, but they were still good. Since our VRBO was across the street, we viewed Blue Bayou from our window and it was always busy, which is a good sign. I'm surprised we didn't eat here twice. If I am in the area again, I am definitely going back.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying we had a reservation for a large party. So our expectations were lowered based on the number of people in the party. It was lowered ever lower when we found out there would only be one server to our entire party. We heard that this is a newer restaurant and that they were still working out some of the kinks of being new. I do commend the hostess and bartender for being outstanding. They were extremely nice and accommodating. From start to finish we were there for about 4 hours. Not by choice. It took a while for the one server to complete all the orders. He was very assertive and demanding. I ordered a house salad, baked mac and cheese and sautéed vegetables. When some of us asked when would we get our salads the waiter told us that salads are an entree and it would come out with the entrees of the other members of our party. The Mac n cheese was descent but the sautéed vegetables came out cold. Some of the members of our party did not get their complete order. Overall it took a very long time for food to arrive to table. We all expected for gratuity to be added to our checks since we were a large party. The waiter proceeds to tell us that they do not add gratuity to checks. When we closed out our checks with our card payments and tried to give him cash tips he told us he couldn't accept cash tips. We even offered to leave the cash on the table and he pick it up after we left. He shared he would not risk his job for cash tips unless it was $20 or more. We all found that to be strange considering some of our checks only reached $30 or less. He then displayed his irritations with us saying "just have a great day". Pleas remember that members of our party did not receive complete orders. The hostess tried to make sure we were fine but the damage was already done. The restaurant had a nice aesthetic but aesthetics can only go so far when customer service is not present. I would not go back to this restaurant.

Yelp
Overall, not in the least impressed. The crab cakes were cold, service was ok, and while the live music DJ is a nice touch he's a bit much over the top and it's so loud you can't really hear the person next to you. Now... let's discuss value. Take a look at the receipt image I uploaded and you tell me if that is reasonable. The sandwich was 10x more bread than anything else. In fact, it was a carb overload, complete with fries. $100+, hidden credit card surcharge and don't forget a tip. I wouldn't eat here again, nor recommend it to anyone else.
google avatar

Antoinette B.

Yelp
In New Orleans on vacation all excited about eating some good food Our waiter was not attentive and all over the restaurant. After sitting for 10 minutes watching him run around not taking care of the customers, he finally took our order. Ordered the seafood platter for $35 that came out cold. Order rockafella oyster, they never came out. The prices wasn't worth the food or the experience. I give the food, atmosphere, and service a 3 out 10. Don't recommend. To many other restaurants to try I'm sure would have been better.
google avatar

Ray R.

Yelp
The blue Bayou was spot on from the food to the drinks to the service. The oysters were prepared, the perfect perfection and the old-fashioned. Well, there's no turning them down here. They actually know what they're doing. The service was perfect. They cater to all of our needs, we didn't wait for an item. They constantly asked if we needed something and our food came out, hot fast, and amazing. I would highly recommend stopping in here if you're looking for an oyster fix.
google avatar

Mason B.

Yelp
Definitely a tourist trap. We had a party of four and it took a few to get seated, but the hostess never told the waiter so he thought we sat ourselves. We ordered our drinks and our meals and then had to wait about a half an hour for anything to arrive. Even more aggravating, the food arrived first and the drinks didn't arrive until we were almost done with our meals. The food was resoundingly meh and the cocktails were definitely not worth the wait. Overall a disappointing dining experience that was wildly overpriced to boot. The price is not worth it for a mediocre meal and mediocre service. There are hundreds of other restaurants within blocks of this place. Skip the tourist trap and find something local.
google avatar

Joanna C.

Yelp
Eh, definitely an over priced menu. A dozen chargrilled oysters topped with crawfish & crab was $65 which included a 10% gratuity. Our server was ok, The place is big, live entertainment, trees, nice size bar.
google avatar

Shechaniah R.

Yelp
There's so much I can say about this place. First, the service is terrible. It took over 30 minutes to get a glass of water! Now, let's talk about the food. My best friend ordered the combination seafood plate. When the food came to the table not only was it cold, but it was undercooked. Our waiter was upset that we asked for the kitchen to fix her order. The chargrilled oysters were small and undercooked as well. I will NEVER eat her and I wouldn't recommend to anyone, not even my cat.
google avatar

Sharrese S.

Yelp
Easy Canal street location with all the N'awlins foods tourists are looking for. The decor is cute. The bartenders will mix just about whatever you ask for. The blackened chicken Alfredo is probably the best thing on the menu. If you're from the DMV don't bother with the crab cakes. Our waitress was brand new serving a group of 10. Michelle did the best she could but someone should have been helping her take charge of the group order. I would try this place again.
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
Popped in here for lunch on our way to an excursion. Restaurant was fairly empty. It was nice inside. My boyfriend ordered the jambalaya, which he said was just okay. Barely any meat, small portion of rice. I don't eat seafood so my options were fairly limited. I opted for a burger. It was pretty good- a standard burger. Nothing special, but good nonetheless. Fries were okay. Again, I've had better. Our waitress was meh. She was not super attentive and spent more time socializing than anything else. My boyfriend and I both ran out of soda mid-meal, and she did not come check on us or notice to refill our drinks. It wasn't until after she brought the check that she asked if we wanted more soda, which at that point we did not. Overall, it was okay. I'm in no rush to return.

Yelp
We were seated immediately but the wait was sooooo long!!! More than 10 minutes to order and another 30 minutes. We ordered the sampler of gumbo, jambalaya and red beans, oysters and shrimp and grits. The oysters were amazing!!! Cleaned and cooked really well, the other food never came out unfortunately

Yelp
Blue Bayou was an interesting adventure for us. We grabbed a later night reservation. Got there and they had some live music which was fun then we were sat allllll the way in the back and could barely hear. Asked to be moved up front and they did then 3 minutes later moved us back to the back. Just odd. Not the end of the world whatever. The service was just so incredibly slow. 15 minutes for anyone to stop by our table. Another 20-30 minutes to get a drinks and take our order. We started with the blue bayou chargrilled oysters with the added crab on top they were very good. We both thought we didn't need the crab upgrade just didn't add much for us. Good oysters though, they also brought 12 instead of the 6 we ordered which was cool. My wife wasn't a big fan of her espresso martini the color was super light compared to most. My beer was good. Waited another 20-30 minutes for our entrees I had the Mardi Gras pasta which was exceptional. Tons of crawfish and shrimp, tons of flavor on the pasta and the bread with it was awesome for getting that last sauce. My wife had the blackened chicken Alfredo pasta which she also really really enjoyed. A good amount of chicken with it. Probably the best two pastas we had on the trip. If the service wasn't soooooooo slow it would be a 5 star place. The food deserves 5 stars. Our waiter was very friendly just as I've said incredibly slow for everything. We would have left if it wasn't later night on a Sunday and most other places were closed. Hopefully your service is better than ours and I'm sure you'll enjoy the food.

Yelp
We stopped for Sunday breakfast. We were the first party seated. By the time we left, all outside tables and a couple inside were full. Great sounding menu with inflated pricing due to the area on Canal/French Quarter. Blue Bayou breakfast featured basic fried eggs to order, an English muffin (no butter), Alligator Andouille sausage (pretty good), and Cheesy Grits (menu said creamy -and they were but it also said smoked Gouda when instead there were a few strands of shaved mild cheddar and no indication of any smoked Gouda). I enjoyed them but still disappointed. Tami's Garden omelette was awesome though the hollandaise lacked flavor (no lemon, no pinch of cayenne). Coffee was very good. C'mon folks, ya gotta pick up your game - this is Nawlins - one of the top foodie destinations in the USA.

Yelp
A group of friends in our who visited NOLA for the Essence Festival, stopped in to Blue Bayou for an early lunch. It wasn't too busy, but we were told that we there would be a wait, or we would have to sit at the bar because there was only two waitress working at the time. The opted for the bar, so we could get in and out, so we thought. The service was very slow. I had an Irish coffee and 12 raw oysters and it took forever for them to prepare my order. When I finally got my oysters, I wasn't impressed, they were rather bland. Definitely not worth the over 30 bucks I paid for them. My friend order the Oyster Bar Thrash from the appetizers menu and that was much tastier than my oysters. The best thing about this restaurant is the ambiance. I love how its nice and open, but they still manage to keep the venue cool. There was also a live singer provided an amazing live performance. All and all, not a horrible experience, but could have been better.

Yelp
We had the best service we have had in a long time. Jersey really made our night. I didn't even know there was such a thing as fried bread pudding. Oh my goodness! It was soooooo good. The praline rum sauce on it was amazing. My friend's bananas foster cheesecake was soooooo fresh and delicious. Jersey made me some coffee at 8:30pm with a smile. He was very sweet and funny. He made our night. The live tree was so friggin cool in the middle of the restaurant!

Yelp
Tourist trap! Over priced food that's off the main strip. Our waitress was juggling tables in the front and back of the restaurant-which didn't allow her to really take care of us. Ordered the shrimp poboy-it didn't have the right lettuce on it (iceberg preferred) and there was no dressing in it. It was a dry poboy. Drink was remade after I noticed that there was no salt on the rim of the margarita - drink remade (tasted completely different) and there still wasn't any salt on the rim. Oh well....not worth it in my opinion. Probably will avoid this spot next time I visit!!

Yelp
Beautiful place! The live singer deserves all the credit. But this place is severely understaffed. The place appeared half full as we waited at the host stand. We could see the host going back and forth, appearing flustered but no one came by to say there was a wait or anything. Once we were finally seated, our assigned server came by to let us know he was backed up and he'd be with us shortly. We understood but he stopped by two more times, still not taking our order but instead giving us a rundown of what else he had to do. When I came back from the bathroom, we had another server. The food took awhile although we'd been waiting for a while now. My pasta came out cold and was only okay. I never received the chargrilled oysters I ordered. I tasted my friend's redfish and it was flavorful but slightly overcooked. The place has great potential but needs to secure a great staff.

Yelp
I usually stay away from restaurants on Canal St, but this one was really good! even to a local. The chargrilled oysters are a must! Their raw on the half shell was also super fresh. I recommend the Mardi Gras Pasta for the entree & the praline brownie! my server Justin was great! he was super attentive, friendly and helpful in going through the menu, making suggestions and answering any questions. The inside is cute too, it looks like Princess And The Frog. surprisingly very clean for the area.

Yelp
I'll be honest, I would not go here again. There are so many other restaurants in NOLA with better quality food for a decent price and MUCH better service than this place. We ate here last night for a work conference and ordered the crispy alligator bites and cooked oysters, both of which were okay. We ordered drinks which didn't come to our table until 40 minutes later, after we had already been served our entrees. We never received a refill on our water throughout the whole evening. I ordered the blackened redfish which honestly I wasn't impressed with. And then when the bill came I was shocked at how expensive everything was for the shit service and just ok food.

Yelp
Food was very flavorful, the drinks perfectly balanced, and our server Kash was personable, helpful in choosing our entrees, and very responsive. We had raw oysters and I had the Bloody Mary and the taste of the bayou sampler. Great experience.

Yelp
Service was wonderful. Food was good. I recommend the chargrilled oysters. Use the garlic for your bread. Yum.

Yelp
Oh my...I sat at the bar and it took the 1 bartender at minimum 25 mins to acknowledge me then said "just a minute" followed by another 10-15 mins more to get my order in. Others had similar or worse experience. The guy next to me was waiting to place a carryout order, he waited and waited. We started talking and he was local and was hyping them up for late night dinning/service and he was shocked by the poor service. His order was so delayed he ended up with the cops giving him a ticket. The restaurant manager was brought into it and she failed at saving him in the moment (although she claimed to me they'll appeal it). The struggle was the bartender working, she should NOT have been alone. The oysters bar guys were limited as to what they could do to help but tried but you could tell they didn't want to overstep the bartender. After the parking ticket, the manager was behind the bar for 2 mins max and asked of she needed help which the bartender said no...and the manager went off to eat her dinner (she was holding it behind the bar). I eventually spoke to the manager and shared my experience as well as what I saw for others as some guests left before they were waited on. The manager said there should be 2 managers on the floor and she was alone...so an excuse. I told her she needed to hear my experience as well as others as someone local now has a parking ticket and may not return. She then went to the bartender and said something to to drive the response of, "I've acknowledged everyone!" No girl, you didn't and its okay to admit you need help. When I asked for.my bill, bartender didn't say a word and then I waited while she did dishes and when she brought it to me and I said "thank you," ahe said "cool." So customer service sucks on all levels. Oysters were fine (can't screw up raw oysters unless they're not fresh), the Mardis Gras pasta was lack luster (I added hot sauce), and I had to wave my glass in the air for a refill of wine (smartest decision was to not order a specialty drink). I'm confident I'll not return.

Yelp
Within walking distance to Sheraton off Canal. Food was so good and the gentleman singing was so talented. The only thing I didn't care for was the staff member that was handling the seating of customers. He seemed to not know if we were going to be able to be seated due to the customer to waitress ratio yet he had us waiting just to get an answer. Once we were seated we had a very nice waiter and enjoyed the performer while we waited for our food. A drink was ordered and we literally did not get it until we were finished with our food and asking for the check. All in all I would visit this place again but not on a wknd night.

Yelp
This place looks really nice from the outside and is nicely decorated on the inside. However the food was not great and was overpriced. The shrimp on this poboy tasted a bit fishy. I also had some of a crab cake and it did not seem that fresh. The gumbo was good but again, overpriced for such a small portion. Service was alright but it was a little slow.
