Google
Dang there is a lot of grounds in my espresso. Generally Blue Bottle is top tier but clean the machine ya’ll and tamp better. Friendly cool staff at least but I’m sitting outside working and it smells like a urinal.

Google
I recently visited Blue Bottle Coffee and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The Nola Shakerato, one of their iced coffee drinks, stood out as one of the best I’ve ever had - and believe me, I’ve had a lot. The flavors were perfectly balanced, leaving me craving more. Additionally, the savory Butternut Squash Scone was a delightful complement and a great recommendation by the courteous barista. However, the only downside to my entire visit was the small store size and very limited seating options. Despite that, the quality and flavors of the coffee and pastry were well worth the visit and I highly recommend this place for every coffee lover. You won’t be disappointed.

Google
Absolutely love this place! The coffee is always excellent, and the staff are incredibly kind and respectful. It’s such a pleasure to stop by in the morning and get a little moment of happiness to start the day. The team here is amazing — they always make you feel welcome and valued.

Google
I love coffee and particulary Blue Bottle. Big fun. I brew it at home with my lovely DG Bialetti Moka pot or with Blue bottle cold brew Hario bottle. I always wanted to try BB coffee in the coffee shop. I did it last Sunday- capuchino and lavender/yuzu latte. Ind guess what- I had a stomach pain all day long and even next morning. I have no idea why BB coffee harmed me so much, but seems there is something. Still love my home-made BB coffee, but will never purchase it in coffee shot anymore.

I finally tried Blue bottle coffee - and I am seriously underwhelmed. The service was very very slow. The coffee was just meh and very overpriced. There was no atmosphere. Indoor seating was 3 bar stools at a dirty counter and outside seating had a view of a parking lot and the sounds of very loud employees at Trader Joes talking. Not enjoyable at all.

Google
First, I didn't rate the food only because I didn't have any, but what I saw and smelled seemed GREAT! As for the coffee, I got a Cafe Latte with Almond milk and it was excellent. I get coffee everywhere I go and this cafe latte definitely had a different, "warmer" taste to it that made it stand out well! Everything else on the menu looked interesting too, and gives good reason to come back :) As for the store, it cozy, clean, well-lighted and staffed by friendly baristas who know their stuff! I got my coffee in no time and enjoyed the music and vibes while I waited! Literally, another customer came in while I waited and exclaimed, "I need another one!" and bought another drink right there! I'd say give it a shot if you never had, and not just because "you're in the area," it's worth the drive! Thank you!

Google
I used to go to this Blue Bottle location pretty often as it is also right by a Trader Joe’s. It is pretty minimalistic and a solid choice if you are looking to grab coffee to-go. This location is small and does not have any indoor seating. So, if you are looking for a place to sit down and get some work done, this Blue Bottle may not be the ideal location for you. Like other Blue Bottle coffee shops, this location has pretty good iced lattes and they offer milk substitutes upon request. If you have not had milk substitutes before and you are interested in trying, I would recommend going with oat milk (which replicates the creaminess of regular milk) or almond milk (which has a bit of a nutty taste). This is not an issue with this Blue Bottle in itself but I am not a huge fan of their savory pastries. If you are looking for a bite to eat, I would recommend their liege waffles, which are syrupy treats - fluffy in the inside and crispy on the outside.

Google
Far below the standard expected from Blue Bottle. Mobile orders severely delay your in-person orders. Parking is insane (small lot with a Trader Joe’s and other restaurants). Very limited indoor seating and three tables outside. And the coffees themselves are just a bit worse than other locations.

Yelp
One of my all-time favorite coffee joints. Blue Bottle makes superb coffee. Been a while since I stopped in! I decided to drop by for a visit and grabbed a cup of their mocha latte. I usually roll with their Iced Nola but remember Blue Bottle having some really good mocha. Mocha was delicious, flavorful, and not too sweet. The Studio City team is outstanding! The service was top notch and store was very clean.

Yelp
I can't express how thrilled I am with the incredible welcomes I've received at this charming coffee shop! Every visit fills me with joy, and the coffee is absolutely outstanding. It truly makes my day unforgettable!

Yelp
Stopped in for a cappuccino and a matcha latte on one of the recent rainy days here in LA. Limited seating inside and obviously no one wanted to sit outdoors, so it was a cozy hang while a bunch of us ordered our drinks and stayed inside. The person at the register seemed a bit impatient/annoyed while we were deciding on our drinks, but I understand how rainy weather affects the people in the city - it's not our favorite thing. Matcha latte was great and my husband enjoyed his cappuccino. There's merch for you to purchase if you like the taste of your coffee, or if you wanna rep BBC at home! Park in the main lot, but it'll be busy due to this location being right next to a Trader Joe's and other hotspot chains. You'll eventually get a spot.

Yelp
Always wanted to try Blue Bottle and finally got my chance! NOLA: This coffee was sweet and delicious. Definitely coming back here!
google avatar

Janet U.

Yelp
first time here My sis in law had the Nola coffee she loved it. My bf & I had the sweet latte. For a hot day we enjoyed our iced coffees I recommend

Yelp
My favorite coffee in the area. Their mexico whole ground coffee is my favorite. And I exclusively use their espresso beans for my breville machine!
google avatar

Sean S.

Yelp
I've visited this store many times. Coffee: variety of selections. Loved their NOLA coffee line. Tastes great. Food: tried the croissants, plain and chocolate, and other pastries. Always fresh and crunchy. Love their small chocolate bar (the white one next to cashier). Ordered a lot through the app and get it ready as it says on the app. Sometimes it gets busy, but staff is friendly and helpful, trying to make the order fast. I bought coffee beans and tried at home as well. Great taste. Staff: always friendly and helpful. Store hygiene: have not seen any issues. Looks clean and nice. A nice store to stop by for your daily coffee and pastry needs.
google avatar

Denisse C.

Yelp
I'm a flat white girl. And they nailed the foam and the coffee itself is so smooth. They aren't friendly, but also not unfriendly.. maybe that's an LA thing and I'm used to the southern service lol. It's the best coffee I've had in a while!
google avatar

Hilary W.

Yelp
The coffee is delicious but the service is atrocious. Love getting the iced NOLA here but with service so bad it's hard to keep coming back. Staff barely acknowledges you when you walk in and the tip options are 15%, 20%, and 25%. Just had an interaction where 3 baristas talked amongst themselves and the short haired one was just on their phone instead of making the drinks. We were the only orders and only people in the store. We keep coming back because the coffee is good but the service is so lackluster. Try Alfred's instead!
google avatar

Sherri E.

Yelp
Whatever coffee. We took the hot americano Hynes. The place was filthy dirty and the cashier and bistro man were dirty themselves. Over paid for a whatever coffee.

Yelp
Blue Bottle Makes Excellent Matcha Lattes. Appreciate that there's no extra charge for oat milk!

Their savory pastries are a little too "heavy" for my liking and I can rarely have more than a couple bites. If you are looking for a bite to eat, I would recommend their liege waffles, which are syrupy treats - fluffy in the inside and crispy on the outside.

Yelp
The best flavor created thus far is the saffron Nola latte hot. Whoever "thunk" this one was a coffee connoisseur genius
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I was high when I paid $7.25 for a cup of milk and two shots of espresso, but I wasn't These guys are ripping people off way more than anyone else for a cuppa coffee.
google avatar

Trinity C.

Yelp
Went to their Pasadena location and ordered a matcha latte with oat milk. Cant say it was my favorite matcha I've tasted sadly. It didn't have a strong matcha flavor and tasted watered down. Tasted like milk with a hint of matcha. I also got the waffle and it was good. Airy and crispy. Service was good however. They brought us our drinks.
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
Hmm ordered a Nola shakerato yesterday...there are no size options in the app for this drink and I paid $8 plus $1 tip and got a much larger sized cup. Today I ordered the same exact drink and also paid the same $9 and got a tiny cup. Lame, exactly why I never come here lol. Inconsistent.

Yelp
Great coffee& service & it's in the perfect area . I love sitting outside & watching everyone drive crazy in the parking lot trying to get to Trader Joe's lol
google avatar

Estephany G.

Yelp
I accidentally ordered the wrong ice coffee. I went back inside with the intention of paying for the coffee I had originally wanted as this was obviously my mistake . The barista was kind enough to refund the previous ordered. Her being understanding was so much appreciated . She had two braids in a ponytail lol Thanks again !

Yelp
BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE in the Valley! And this branch is located in the same shopping center as Trader Joe's. Normally I would say "so there's a lot of free parking available", but the Trader Joe's I grew up with has maybe 22 parking spots total. I digress. This one REALLY does have lots of available free parking. The dark roast turns into a really great LATTE. Their ORLEANS is addicting. They have pre-orders, which I suggest you use because you will not get to the "front of the line" just because you showed up in person.
google avatar

Tabitha K.

Yelp
This is amazing coffee and the matcha latte is great too. I wish I could order a pitcher of it. The avo toast is so great and so are the pastries. The quality of the coffee and food is much higher than other large chains and prices are in line with that. They have a bit of a transient issue but I think everyone in this area does now. I have seen a very funny famous celeb in there but did not want to bother her to tell her how funny and talented she is. I met an exec for the Blue Bottle co years ago at a hippy retreat and I told him I loved the matcha so much.
google avatar

Raya M.

Yelp
I love coming here for their iced hojicha! Friendly service, great quality products, and delicious food. You can never go wrong with a chocolate croissant, and their avocado toast is one of my favorites (super simple, but the right minimal ingredients). I've heard great reviews about the coffee here, but I'm not a coffee drinker
google avatar

Justine D.

Yelp
All time favorite coffee amongst all LA coffee joints. Large New Orleans with oat milk and pumpkin bread plz and thank you! Strong, creamy, lightly sweet - the way coffee should be.
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst service I've had in months. The cashier honestly turned around to send a text during our transaction.
google avatar

Sofya S.

Yelp
The coffee is nice most of the time, but oh my is this the slowest coffee shop on earth? Two people making coffee soooo slowly, every time. In the morning before work - forget it. Waiting 25 mins for a cup of coffee is a luxury. $7.75 for a latte is also crazy but service makes it that much harder to pay that
google avatar

Yoichi M.

Yelp
The coffee is 4/5 because it's good but less than what you get at the original Oakland location. (Maybe it's the water?) But the spot has a little outside seating area next to Trader Joe's and Mendocino Farms! So great spot to knock out a meeting or two then get the groceries with free parking.

Jaz L.

Yelp
Awful matcha, distracted baristas. Matcha was like a pale green color and that's not how it's supposed to look like...Baristas forgot our food and started filling up jugs of milk instead and making other orders.

Kylie H.

Yelp
Something about this location just doesn't work. I've given it multiple chances but each time my drink comes out different. Rather go to Alfred's across the street!
google avatar

Cory B.

Yelp
This franchise just seems to ignore real people and again just reinforced its bubble of entitlement. Having won back my good faith after a fairly disastrous experience with a gift certificate, spent 20 minutes driving over, 10 minutes looking for parking... only to stand outside the door with about four other customers looking at a tiny sign that said that they were "closed from 6 AM until 2 PM" ??!!!- in the middle of the workday! Workers were completely ignoring customers outside, just sort of wandering around and doing some sort of "inventory". SO: I'll just state the obvious: if you're a coffee joint whose primary target customers are in the morning and early afternoon, why on earth would you schedule your "inventory" during those hours over three days in the middle of the work week... Rather than just pay your workers a little bit extra to stay after hours or at least towards the end of the day, so you're not inconveniencing several dozen customers who have no idea you've decided to do this until they've spent 20 minutes driving over, 10 minutes circling for parking, burnt all that gasoline, only to face a little tiny sign ... letting you know you just basically wasted 45 minutes and 5-10$ in gasoline ??!! I've never (in 35 years!!) seen Starbucks do this, never seen Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf do this, because they actually value customers time, money, and patronage. And if we're talking about "inventory" - let's be honest - the blue bottle stores are tiny in comparison to Starbucks and Coffee Bean... They offer far less have a much smaller menu, and hardly any merchandise. So why the heck do you need to take three whole days off in the middle of the work week? Again the overall vibe is just at this company takes itself way too seriously and spoils the heck out of there employees by not asking them to do this at a time that doesn't inconvenience customers who actually SUPPORT the business!!?! But apparently Blue Bottle is doing so well they need not bother themselves with mundane details like inconveniencing their customers during the work week. They just lost a regular customer. Thank you.
google avatar

Yelp
Blue Bottle Coffee provides a very unique and tasty coffee drinking experience. Their espresso shots are very strong and if you're looking for something cold, their New Orleans style and spiced version of that are delicious. I also highly recommend oat milk with these drinks. The staff is very friendly and makes your order very quickly. Parking is a little tough because it's next to several other stores but it's manageable.
google avatar

Jennifer E.

Yelp
"The Eileen way" Iced Matcha!!! I'm a big fan of matcha but when it's made right it's on another level. There is on barista that has it spot on... Blue bottle needs to make this the traditional matcha order because the matcha lovers need to experience this!!
google avatar

Yelp
Average to below average coffee. We ordered and Everything Bagel Seasoned Croissant, New Orleans-Style Iced Coffee, and Spiced NOLA. The croissant was really good. It was flaky with a nice flavor because of the everything bagel seasoning. The onion is very noticeable which makes it taste nice and savory. Only downside is they cannot reheat because they do not have an oven for it. The New Orleans-Style Iced Coffee is just ok. The seasoning adds a nice little flavor to it. Though, it was not enough to mask the bitterness of the coffee. It gives a nice taste of cinnamon or nutmeg, I'm not sure which. The Spiced Nola is really nice. It's exactly what I wished the regular New Orleans-Style Iced Coffee would be. It tastes identical but the spices or more noticeable in this one. It adds a nice flavor to the drink. Though, it had a nice flavor. it's not something I would go crazy for. The quality of the drinks were good. The coffee taste freshly brewed. I'm not sure how long the croissant has been in the display case. Unfortunately, it was not warm when we received it. The drinks look really nice. I like their minimalistic design on their cup. The croissant just came in the bag, but the everything bagel seasoning on top makes it look appealing. The prices are fair. It was around $5 for the drinks and $5 for the croissant. I do find the croissant a little overpriced. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The staff who took our order also prepared our drinks very quickly. I applaud her for quickness. The ambiance of the store is nice. It gives a modern vibe. They have seating inside and outside. It's not a place I could find myself studying in though. The place was overall very clean. The parking is good because there is a big parking lot. Blue Bottle is a little overhyped.
google avatar

Sylvia G.

Yelp
The service is awful. The ambiance was intense because there were aggravated customers waiting over 20 minutes for a cup of coffee. Humility is non-existent at this location. The baristas act entitled as if you're doing them the favor by getting a cup of coffee. Entitled so called "coffee coneseurs" please! lol. Not coming back again.
google avatar

Rebecah J.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I didn't try any coffee on my trip, but the pastries here are DELICIOUS! I've never been to a Blue Bottle because I try to support local coffee shops, but I ended up getting a bag of leftover pastries on Too Good To Go and was excited to try. Their almond croissant is AMAZING. It's one of my favorite pastries ever and theirs is delicious. I also tried an everything croissant that was really yummy and savory. Plus, their apple crumble danish was sensational and tastes like a mini apple pie. So good! The place was packed, so I didn't want to stay and wait for coffee, but I'm definitely going to come back and try. The staff was all pleasant and helpful, even with an influx of customers.
google avatar

Tess l.

Yelp
This is 5 stars for the "taste " and it's 5 stars for a place with a simple menu ! because I like more flavors usually The new Orleans cold brew with sweet cream coffee is so good I do wish they had more flavor options in the store but that one is so good that I already can tell I will have a craving for it now It's organic. Very friendly staff Quick reviews, just for you
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
I first experienced blue bottle coffee in Soma which is the South of Market area of San Francisco. I was fascinated by the drip systems and fluffy egg toasts. The smooth lure of a subtle cup of joe..... you know who you are.......Studio city is do lucky to have this tiny taste of buried treasure. It is a little hidden, over shadowed and sandwiched in between Trader Joe's and Mendocino farms. The fresh cracked cardamom sweet latte is a dream with a smooth and dreamaaaaaay finish!
google avatar

Stefany S.

Yelp
I am sorry guys but this is awful. It's been a few times already they just forgot to make my coffee (I was ordering online). So my wait time was about 40 min every time. This is the worst Blue Bottle I ever been.
google avatar

Gohar K.

Yelp
I was shopping at Trader Joe's when I noticed this place. Gave it a try and loved their New Orleans cold brew. So rich and delicious. Just the right amount of milk and sweetener. I also tried their tahini chocolate chip cookie. So soft, chewy, semi sweet and salty. Great flavors. Love it. They also carry bottled drinks, iced coffee in cans. Customer service was ok. Not too friendly. The parking can be challenging since it's in a busy plaza full of shops and restaurants. Forget about quick in and out coffee breaks. No drive thru. Overall a great find
google avatar

Ani A.

Yelp
Popping in again to say that Mike is the best barista out there! I always do the New Orleans, but I wanted something less sweet and he made me the perfect iced cold brew with oat!! Thank you Mike!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Communication is the key! Lack of communication with your customers here. Sadly, the staff seems disconnected from each other and their customers. A person behind me gets his drink before me, another customer orders the fall special with another drink as a mobile order, and rushes to the front counter after only seeing one drink, when we all are (3-4 people) waiting and ordered in-store at Am rush hour. Why is it customers that who order in the store has to get second-hand treatment?! So my order was the fall Special with no dairy coming out without any name or any announcement(only stating none dairy black cardamom latte), obviously thinking it is my order after patiently waiting more than 10 minutes. I carefully look at it and turn the the cup around to see if it is mine( No name), so I take it slowly, as the lady behind the counter looks at me little confused not saying a word until the online costumer angrily says; that was my drink. In shock, I apologized multiple times, and the person was still pretty upset at me as if I committed a crime, to the point I offered to pay for her exact as mine order. Nope, nothing from the actual employee/ barista lady. Not a word! Especially after hearing the entire unpleasant exchange of pleasantries. In all honesty it simply was mix-up mistake, as I would only assume with no labels nor calling the name to the order. Which oddly I ordered the same exact latte, and doesn't communicate with me that is another person's drink. Well, extremely awkward, as I went to sip and the barista lady finally decides to say something "that wasn't for you" seriously do you think? Little too latte on that note. I get it that you are busy, what I don't get is not calling the names out when you don't make labels or even hand write the person's name on the cup. I never had this issue with the Woodland Hills location. Get it together ladies! Lastly please get along with one another, your customers do sense the negative vibe that is amongst each other. One star for the"Great Black Cardamon Latte".

Yelp
The first time I tried a drink from Blue Bottle it was in Culver City. I had an iced Americano and it was too stout for me. I enjoy a robust coffee but this was like leaded gasoline to me. I had gone in with some friends who also got coffee and they concurred it was too strong for them as well. I love the clean, starkness of the decor. Love the shade of blue they chose as their signature color. Truly, I want to love their product. When a location opened in Studio City--I giggled to myself and texted my friend who had been with me that day in Culver City. I had zero plans of walking through the door. However, I did. I ordered a cappuccino with whole milk and it was well-balanced and creamy. I drank the whole cup and was sad when it was gone. Although, I had a different friend with me this day and they ordered a mocha. It was too chalky and bitter for their taste buds. I gave it a swig before they tossed it and I agreed it wasn't as nice as the cappuccino. I purchased some of their dark chocolate squares to have on hand should a moment of hangry arise and they are quite silky for dark chocolate. Well, I know what to order now should I find myself wanting another gander of this clean, calming lines of a coffeehouse.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
Wow this coffee is fantastic Everything you want coffee to be, not the slightest hint of bitterness, to the point that it did not require any sweetener whatsoever They don't have flavors like vanilla, which annoys me a bit , and it's a little pretentious in presentation, but the coffee itself is fantastic Staff is super friendly and welcoming and the latte was perfectly, perfectly poured, foam you live for I will most definitely go here over Starbucks when I have the option

Steve M.

Yelp
The three staff treated me as an inconvenience while they bantered between themselves. I was never acknowledged nor thanked, and when I bussed my own table and brought my cup back inside I was scolded for not leaving it in the right place. Throroughly unpleasant experience and I won't be back, and I'd quite like my tip refunded too, but of course that's not going to happen.

Saraa A.

Yelp
Such a cute little coffee shop! And the quality of coffee here is really good too. Lovely staff as well. My favorite place to go whenever I crave a matcha
google avatar

Rachel A.

Yelp
After this review I will absolutely be writing a letter to corporate about my experience here, because it seems after a quick glance at other reviews people have complained countless times about the lack of quality and friendly service here and something needs to be done. This location has the rudest employees I have ever experienced at a food/beverage establishment and it is NOT ok. It also takes an extremely long time for your coffee to be made even when ordering pickup (10-15 min) before on their app.

Lauren W.

Yelp
Questionable sanitary practices. Barista went from sweeping the floor in visibly dirty gloves to making espresso without taking off his gloves or washing his hands. Gross.
google avatar

Vanessa M.

Yelp
Once I found out about a location in the valley, I had to indulge. The parking is horrible as it's on Ventura Blvd. and shares a lot with Trader Joes among other businesses. Introduced two people pre-covid here - while they enjoyed their beverages, we sat outside and had to deal with a weird / shady people getting into fights, etc. There is really limited seating outside and the inside is pretty small, like a grab-and-go place. Really glad they pushed their register to the door and are still open during covid! It is a bit pricy but I always love and stand by the iced New Orleans cold brew with oat milk. The flavor bumps up the rating, just wish it was in a better location. Will be back soon!
google avatar

Digby O.

Yelp
Don't go if you're in a hurry, always slow. This is extra annoying because the cashier immediately puts the hot water in a cup and sets it near the barista. It then sits forever cooling off without a lid. By the time my drink arrives, it's a warm coffee, not a hot coffee. Overpriced and overrated. They lean Starbucks when it comes to everything pretty much tastes dark. I don't know what happened, I used to love BB.
google avatar

Shanna M.

Yelp
Don't bother going in the store. They will make every mobile order while staring at a long line of customers. Just order on your phone if you want service!
google avatar

Amber K.

Yelp
Service was great. They gave my daughter a cup of milk on the house even though it's a super busy morning it's backed up espresso orders. It's been a while since I've been here so I ordered a hot coffee but that was a mistake because it's super bitter and they don't have a lot of sweetener options that are no calorie so even my doctoring it so illl throw out. I need to remember to order a cold brew because that is silky smooth.
