Blue Bottle is a vibe! The atmosphere is very modern, clean, aesthetic, and simple. Tried the seasonal golden cinnamon NOLA coffee and browned butter sea salt blondie and they were both to die for. Was there for a while to get some work done and felt very efficient.

Nice space and atmosphere. When the drink was ready, the waiter pushed out the cup and spilled everywhere, including my cloth. I grabbed paper towel myself to clean it up and politely asked the waiter to be a bit mindful with the situation next time. Got a very passive aggressive response and no apology. Perhaps it’s because I’m an Asian?

Google
Rude staff. Asked for no foam and the whole drink was all foam. To be fair, this is an industry problem I've noticed this past year. I don't think they are training people anymore, they just need warm bodies. And don't even get me started on the Gen Z stare. This is definitely the place to experience it. Don't ask for anything or you might send the cashier over the edge.

A Samoyed was in line behind me. 🐶🚫 Livestock in a cafe? A manger of Arabica. No one should seek such a hovel for a cup Past a UC plaza, its crushing nondescriptness Would stay put just fine sans 160-ton “Ballast”. No one lingers for Serra. But the yard’s fit for dogs. Serra’s Ballast (2005)

Awesome coffee! After trying this coffee I understood why Blue Bottle Coffee is a favorite for many people. Coffee is perfectly roasted and brewed and has perfect balance of flavors. I tried their Cappuccino and seasonal special - Date Latte. Both were delicious. They didn’t have indoor seating at this location. However, they have a patio so you can sit outdoors. I felt price is little high when compared to Starbucks. Date Latte was 7$ for a size comparable to Grande. However, the taste of the coffee makes it worth it!

Vibes is so good especially when it’s spring Great place for work Ice NOLA rate7/10 Service is very nice 👍🏻

Google
Nice coffee shop with a good selection (even for a non-connoisseur like me) and great dairy-free options. Food choices are a bit limited, but the service is excellent and there’s plenty of seating.

Google
Great blue bottle location and vibe - tons of space indoor and outdoors to work and has free wifi if needed! Location - right next to spark social, so you can work here and then grab a bite to eat at one of the food trucks! Wifi - Doing a speed test, it has 4mbps down and 0.5mbps up, which should be fine for browsing and work. Coffee - similar to other blue bottle locations and is pretty good. Outlets - only downside here is that I didn't spot any power outlets, so make sure to come fully charged Really like this location and is in a beautiful area.

Yelp
This was my very first Blue Bottle Coffee experience after a coworker recommended it to me. Ordered the sweet latte with oat milk (their default option) and was immediately impressed. The taste was incredibly smooth and unlike anything I've had before - really unique flavor profile that sets them apart from other coffee shops. What I especially loved was that they provide simple syrup on the side, which solved my usual problem of lattes not being sweet enough. Perfect solution that lets you customize to your taste! After that first great experience, I've returned several times and even purchased their instant espresso to see if I can recreate it at home. My initial visit had great service, but my most recent trip felt a bit awkward. The staff seemed more focused on chatting amongst themselves, which made it uncomfortable to approach them or ask questions without feeling like I was interrupting their conversation. It created an unwelcoming atmosphere that contrasted with my earlier positive experiences. Blue Bottle's coffee quality is worth trying. The simple syrup option is nice for those who like sweeter drinks. Just hoping the service returns to the welcoming standard they set on my first visit.

Yelp
Wow this could be the most expensive matcha latte I've ever had ! In a medium cup for $8.06 !! I came here to order regular matcha latte which is about $5.75 + 4% SF surcharge, but the barista asked me if I'd like to try Matcha Lavender Yuzu Latte. Honestly, I didn't mind to pay $7.75 + 4% Healthy SF surcharge but what upset me was that the latte didn't have any Yuzu nor Lavender taste at all!!! So it was basically just a regular matcha latte !! Was I being deceived here? I really don't appreciate the way Blue Bottle runs a business here.. I am not sure whether the recipe of the fancy Matcha Lavender Yuzu Latte is wrong or the barista just didn't know how to make it. What a very disappointing experience.

Yelp
Most frequented coffee shop for my espresso beans. Nothing quite hits like their hayes valley when it comes to espresso. Definitely get their shakerato or learn to make it at home (the recipe is on their website). They do a good job of making me come back because of their seasonal flavors. I think the Winter Espresso was my favorite out of their limited time. Service has always been great and ambience/space is

Yelp
Actual: 3.5/5 Nice location, lots of seating inside and a good number of drink options! I grabbed the seasonal cherry blossom latte, the floral taste was not overpowering at all. It was a bit more watered down than I would have preferred. Also to note is blue bottle is def on the pricier side, I paid just around $8 for my latte

Yelp
A beautiful coffee shop that is so brightly lit with all it's windows. It's super close by to the SF office I work at so I had to try another coffee shop in the area. There wasn't too many people in there when I went to grab a coffee and inside was nice and cool with their AC blasting. I got myself an iced latte and it came out quickly. It was good but not super delicious in my books. I mainly enjoyed the aesthetics of the store and wanted to try everything while I was visiting SF. Would still make another stop here when I'm back to have some more coffee though. I'd assume it's also a great place to work from since it's so nice and well lit in there.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Espresso was not as good as usual but still fine. I would recommend going there.

Yelp
Still serving the most amazingly delicious coffee in San Francisco! I work in the city and it's the only time i can get good coffee like this so today i DoorDashed a coffee and their baguette with cheese and ham. It was so uplifting and a great way to start off my day!

Yelp
Got my morning coffee on the way to work and ordered ahead. My order was already waiting for me when I got in. The store was nice and clean (similar to how all Blue Bottle coffee shops are).
google avatar

Yelp
Clean aesthetic coffee shop with a nice range of drink choices - which are priced a little higher than average. The food choices include hot and cold. The coffee was beautifully presented. All served with a smile.

Yelp
The lemon yuzu fizz is amazing. Highly recommend. Fast service and modern decor. My friends all say the coffee is great.

Yelp
Nice spot to grab some coffee and get some work done. There's pretty limited seating available indoors, but there is also a patio area outside. Table I had sat down at wasn't cleaned up though.

Yelp
Modern looking atmosphere a-lot of of dog owners around. They have free treats for your pet Lovely breakfast menu Vanilla cookie wasn't that great tasting pretty basic. Avocado toast was on point. Lemony taste . Artisan toast was thick with seeds and nuts. Half is more than enough for one. Sticky pecan bum was waayy too hard as i was expecting a much softer bun. Saffron latte was served with a dead fly Brought it to their attention and they made another one quickly

Yelp
I live around the corner from here and I've been coming here for over 3 years now. Every time I've come, I've seen a plethora of non-service dogs (it's very clear which ones are) sitting inside of the coffee shop. Suddenly, today, they decided to enforce the policy, but somehow just with my dog as I saw other pets entering. I would understand if mine was being aggressive or disruptive, but she wasn't. Nor was there anyone else but us there at the time. If you have a policy, I respect it *IF* you enforce it uniformly. The service here has never been great. They're super slow, have forgotten my order multiple instances and are generally not pleasant to interact with in a customer facing role. I've always given multiple chances due to proximity, and the ability to come with my dog on our walks. Plenty of other neighborhood coffee shops that are pet friendly I'll frequent going forward as this place has nothing redeeming left. You'd think in a hyperinflation economy where stores and shops are struggling to stay afloat, they'd concern themselves more with customer service, but alas, here we are. The lukewarm cappuccino and the latte art was the cherry on top of it all.

Yelp
Reliable quality of coffee drinks and friendly baristas, despite a seemingly high turnover. I find myself wandering over here when I'm too lazy or busy with work to do my home grinds and pour overs (okay, and for their famous Liege Waffles and occasionally for their rich, creamy Avo Toast). I love this location in particular, as it is literally one block from my doorstep, and my dog appreciates the attention and pets she gets from consistently high volumes of customers here and treats from a large glass cookie jar by the front door. Not to mention, the store is kept very clean and great for some admin work (less ideal for taking meetings or work calls, even with the outdoor seating area by the sidewalk as there is a Muni bus stop right there and it is LOUD). I recommend trying any Blue Bottle seasonal specials, my new jam is the HOT Nola with Oat Milk and the Spiced Nola (both Iced and Hot are fantastic, depending what you fancy and the weather). I love that Blue Bottles across the board don't charge extra for dairy alternatives, though the pricier coffee perhaps covers it (about $6-8 a cup, depending on the drink and if there is a size variation). If you're not into lattes and specialty drinks, the pour overs are always a solid choice too (I just order what blend is there default or a Burundi, if available). If coffee isn't your thing, there are milks and drinks sold in bottles and cartons at the counter along with some cold brekkie foods like chia seed pudding and overnight oats. I highly recommend their Hojicha Latte (with Oat Milk), which is very mild (I low-key wish the tea were stronger than the milk).

Yelp
Good coffee that's probably a bit overpriced, but there were several adorable well-mannered dogs sitting inside with their family medicine all is forgiven!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a typical blue bottle- it's clean, nice service, fast coffee, good quality, but so expensive.

Yelp
Service was exceptional... I didn't like the juniper coffee ... just my tastes and it seems a dollar or more expensive than other stores

Yelp
I love Blue Bottle Coffee :) I'm actually not a coffee drinker but I always get their Matcha Latte. I think their food and interior is always so aesthetically pleasing. I also enjoy how they don't overdo their drinks or sweets with sugar. It always feels like the the natural flavors shine through, instead of burying the drink/food in glucose. Also it's dog friendly!! I saw this cute dog who definitely wanted a bit of my croissant lol.

Yelp
I was collecting pictures of murals (great one 100 feet away) when we walked into Blue Bottle Coffee. I can't speak for the coffee but the wine selection was great (petite sirah), but amazingly, my partner spent more on flower! We will be back! Cheers J

Yelp
Love coming here for my morning coffee breaks! Staff at this location are friendly and faster than other locations (especially Santana row!).
google avatar

Yelp
I've ordered through the Blue Bottle app for pick up at this location multiple times and it's almost always ready for me when I arrive at the store. The store is quite spacious, but I haven't spent enough time in the store to say anything about the ambiance. The bakery items are just okay, so I usually order their hot espresso drinks. My go-to is the oat milk cappuccino. It's $6 for a good quality cappuccino, so no complaints. They have always been consistent from my experience. I can't say much about the in-store customer experience, because I never ordered in store, but the staff seem friendly!

Yelp
I stumbled onto Blue Bottle and what a joyous surprise. Not only is the coffee made well, the coffee shop is clean and organized. The staff work hard and provide excellent service. I go in several times a week on my way into work. It's nice to be remembered along with my preferences. The wait is never long and their mobile service is fast and efficient. I am a Blue Bottle Believer but the Mission Bay location is my favorite as they have the great coffee along with excellent service!
google avatar

Leslie L.

Yelp
Coffee is great. Ham and swiss sammy delish. Nice outdoor seating and right next to the Mission Bay food court.

Yelp
Not sure what took me so long to try Blue Bottle, but I am glad it was better late than never! We preordered on their app for a quick pickup. The app was beautifully designed and easy to use, although there was some lag and glitches. I was excited to see that they had special holiday drinks for the season, so I opted for their iced date latte with oat milk. It was creamy, smooth and just the right amount of sweetness. It was personally a little difficult to taste the date flavor, but I got a subtle holiday spice flavor that was not too overpowering. Interior of the shop was clean and bright, with big windows and plenty of seating indoors and some tables outdoors if you needed a place to do some work. I will definitely be back to try some other drinks (I was recommended to try the New Orleans cold brew next)! Do note that this coffee spot is pricer than other places, but I think the quality makes it worth it.

Yelp
Awesome location and conveniently located right along Spark Social SF and Stagecoach Greens mini golf. I love all the natural lighting this place gets and this Blue Bottle has the most seating and table areas I've seen so far. Staff is great and the coffee was amazing as always. My go-to is the New Orleans iced coffee with oat milk. Parking can be tricky as it's all street/metered parking.

Yelp
The vibe here is so cool. Ample sun and seating, and music-wise, Monday morning was Goth night there. The baristas are super cool and make a mean coffee drink. Absolutely loved my oat-milk hot nola. Please go get one ASAP. Their pastries are also delicious. Loved the everything pull-apart croissant and chocolate croissant. They also have dog treats for your four-legged buddies by the door. Will miss this place when I move!

Yelp
Blue Bottle Coffee- Mission Bay, San Francisco Clean store. Friendly staff. Bright and airy place to sit and take a break. Or take it to go and enjoy the cool vibe and scenery of Mission Bay! Okay so I went to Blue Bottle Coffee and I didn't have coffee....What I did do was order a few croissants to go. The staff was super welcoming, warm, friendly and got the order together super fast. After wishing me a good day I was out! I look my order to a local park about a block away and just enjoyed a croissant and fresh air! It was wonderful! The croissants were super light and airy. Fluffy even. The outside was crispy crunchy and super flaky and buttery! All of the things!! Absolutely delicious! If you like croissants you will love these! Please take a look at my photos!

Yelp
Great ambiance, great lighting. No outlets. The service was not great. They couldn't take responsibility for the mistake with my drink when I was quick to report it... not service-oriented. The coffee is good at least.

Robert S.

Yelp
Tell me folks... what is so special ??? 6.25 for a small size latte ?!?! And really ?? Where is the espresso/bean in the cup ?? What a tragedy. This is lousy and not, I mean not worth the money !! Croissant... well ... over baked ... kinda tasty but way over done ! 12.20 for both ... and honestly nothing great. Where's the coffee ??? Just lousy. I don't get this establishment... Lousy
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
I normally get iced lattes here. The coffee has a pretty good taste and I feel like they are very consistent. This location has ample seating and tables, so it's a good place to come work. There aren't any outlets though, so I would make sure that you have enough battery before coming here.
google avatar

Hannah Y.

Yelp
I've been to this Blue Bottle a bunch of times and it's always been a good experience! Staff are super friendly and service is usually fast / no long lines. There is also free WiFi, so it's a good spot to get work done. Note that they don't heat their pastries up (but I'm sure you could ask). Last Dined: August 12, 2022

Yelp
I am not a big coffee connoisseur, so I can't speak much to the quality. Being a hipster spot it is quite expensive, but honestly not much more than the prices at Peet's and Starbucks these days. It is very clean, and busy. What makes them unique is their New Orleans style offerings. I wish they had a water station of some sort.
google avatar

Vivian Q.

Yelp
LOVE Blue Bottle and their NOLA coffee - this location is very conveniently located and the interior is clean, spacious, great working location.
google avatar

Jerry R.

Yelp
Artisan poor over coffee and "it is not their standard " to be able to mix different beans? I've never come across a coffee establishment that is unable to mix beans.

Eve S.

Yelp
Never coming here again, I'm going to stick to Cafe Réveille down the street. The man that took my order was really nice. However, then I had to wait around while three baristas were just hanging out and chitchatting. When one of them finally noticed me, they asked in an extremely rude tone, "are you waiting for something?" as if I was a nuisance by just standing there, patiently waiting for my coffee. Then they realized they forgot to make my drink. The rude barista had dark wavy short hair and glasses. Not giving this place my business anymore
google avatar

Kristen C.

Yelp
Another awesome location. Been here a few times and had great experiences with the staff members. Ambience and minimalist interior with plenty of seating but lack of charging ports. Had to check with the staff and it seems like there's hardly none which was inconvenient. The pastry offerings seems to remain the same across all blue bottle locations. Rated 4 star due to inconsistent coffee. Known for its smooth texture this cafe sometimes misses the mark. Sometimes I don't know what I'm getting cause it might be smooth one day and the next day extremely bitter.

Christina M.

Yelp
This is the only coffee chain I like. The only thing I hate is that you have no control over how much creamer you get in your coffee. I order it black and the employee pours half & half in the cup. C'mon, put it on the counters like normal coffee shops do so I can put exactly how much I want. I hate greasy coffee. I make it a point to get coffee from mom & pop type shops but this location is close to my job.
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
In these tumultuous days, sometimes it's hard to find a place where "new basic needs" are met. By this I mean, peaceful places, hand sanitizer (working), clean restrooms, adequately lit spacious places where you can enjoy whatever it is you want to enjoy. There are a lot of coffee places to visit and they're all great but it depends on your preference. Blue Bottle meets the "new basic needs" with an outstanding product. The simple fact that they provide a qualitatively contrasted ambiance (slow) to say Spark SF (busy) which is just across the street makes them the perfect respite for beleaguered locals to catch their breath. Inside and out, Blue Bottle is that dependable best friend who's always there and knows how to listen. It's no surprise that their staff embodies that vibe; Cynthia is the best.

Yelp
So happy to have a Blue Bottle location near the Mission Bay UCSF campus. I love their belgian waffle--they have a delicate crunch on the outside and are soft and warm on the inside. The drinks here are fantastic, too. Consistent with other locations. Blue Bottle is a welcome new local caffeine option.
google avatar

Yelp
My love for Blue Bottle has never deteriorated, even after all the oh-so-good local coffee breweries opened in the city. When I first moved into Mission Bay, I've been eyeing this new location when it was still under construction. I was SO looking forward to its opening and when it finally opened, I was NOT disappointed. They set up an outdoor seating which is great and tables were socially distanced from one another. Their interior, like all blue bottles are simple, clean and sophisticated. Minimalistic light wood and concrete. Staff is really trained and very friendly. Just like the other Blue Bottles. Love the fact that they kept to their original roots despite having branched out nationally.

Yelp
Nice place to get coffee and get work done. Very spacious and open area with nice seating and free, reliable wifi. I had a hot Nola which tasted great! Came on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. Easily found a seat by the window (very good for a people watcher like myself) Not sure if they have outlets tbh I didn't check. Only downside is that the music can be kinda loud? But nothing noise canceling headphones cannot solve.

Yelp
I am from Canada and always enjoy Blue Bottle Coffee whenever we are in California. Good coffee, and I love the people there.

Yelp
Yuuum! I don't even drink coffee on the reg. Peeps are nice. Cold brews are nicer. Clean and nice space. Would go back every time I visit SF.

Yelp
Convenient and chill location. This Blue Bottle has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Decent place to remote work however they lack outlets so make sure you come prepared. Selection of food and coffees are great. Highly recommend the New Orleans Cold Brew

Yelp
So I've been back twice - once about a month ago where I pre-ordered an espresso on the app. Still didn't receive a message when it was ready, but at least it wasn't cold when I got there, so I'll take that as a win. This morning I pre-ordered Hayes Valley Espresso Whole Beans, and did receive a notice that they were working on it and would be ready at 1044am (about 5 minutes). Got there at 1047 and asked about it, the two workers first said there is a delay in the system so didn't receive order yet, then later said they lost the ticket. So they said it would be a minute, and I figured they would just grab a bag and give it to me, but they made 3 different drinks before I asked if I could just grab it from the shelf and leave. They said they didn't realize it was whole beans, and then said they didn't think they'd have any Hayes Valley Espresso, but there was one left. So not sure how that system works for ordering whole beans and keeping inventory, but that seems to need work as well.. I gave it a shot but I think I'm giving up on Blue Bottle. It was a nice run though!

Yelp
The owner reached out to me regarding my experience and could not be more gracious and understanding. I love this location now that I know they value their customers and take feedback seriously. I'll be coming to this location every time I'm nearby as it's clean and the lattes are consistent!

Rick S.

Yelp
Cons: Drinks are very expensive for the volume, especially if you add espresso. Very limited choice in pour overs compared to Philz. There are only a few small tables indoors with back support, and the seats without back support are too similar in height to the tables so it's hard to work for more than 30 mins without back pain being an issue. Pros: Most drinks are good. Quality latte art. Aesthetic is nice.

Yelp
I love Blue Bottle but it was always hard for me to get to. The closest one was at the Ferry Building. So I was so thrilled to see a brand new location a few blocks away from work! Same smooth and amazing caffe latte I remember. Perfect. Mobile ordering makes it very convenient. And right next to the Spark Social and Parklabs food trucks so you can have your coffee with lunch.
