The 29 Best Restaurants in Kingston, Jamaica | Eater

"Escape the hustle of Kingston and head to this quaint hillside cafe. Blue Brews is located inside Holywell National Park, an hour’s drive up in the mountains, where walking trails allow visitors to explore the diverse vegetation, cascading streams, and local birds. All-day breakfast (pancakes, omelets, and bagel sandwiches) and a wide variety of burgers, wraps, and sandwiches lead into heavier options like smoked pork chops and juicy roast chicken. But coffee is the star here. Keep it simple with a drip coffee or espresso shot, made using 100 percent Blue Mountain coffee from the Old Tavern Estate, a 100-acre farm nestled next to Holywell." - Leisha Wong

We hosted a bridal shower for my friend at Blue Brews Bistro on August 30, and it was such a beautiful experience. Even before the event, the restaurant manager was very accommodating and did her best to meet all of our requests. On arrival, the staff welcomed us warmly and helped us set up a space for our celebration. The ambiance was excellent—the cool hills and refreshing air created the perfect backdrop for our event. The food was served on time, tasted great, and everything was quite affordable. Thank you, Blue Brews Bistro, for making this occasion so memorable. Highly recommended for anyone planning a special gathering!

To be honest, the food is good but the service is atrocious. Twice I've been there and there was only one person cooking and running the register, massive wait time. The last time (August 30, 2025), the person there just told us that they won't be taking anymore orders after we had been in a line for quite awhile. They wouldn't even serve us drinks nor brownies that were present and available. I was there with my family and another family, 3 kids in tow. Now imagine that we were hungry after a long drive up to Holywell and then a hike. I am sure the person was overwhelmed but this was horrible customer service. Unforgivable even.

Experience Date: Thursday May 1, 2025. Group of 11. Blue Brews Bistro truly lives up to its tagline—warm food, warm coffee, and warm smiles! Nestled in the heart of Holywell Park, it’s the perfect haven for nature lovers who embrace mist, rain, or sunshine. The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. A special thanks to owner Michelle, who opened the bistro for our group on a day it’s usually closed—we’re so grateful for her flexibility and kindness. Head Chef Winston’s warm service made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re adventurous and in need of good food to fuel your journey, this is the place! And if you're looking to try something new while enjoying delicious food, definitely go!

Nice vibes...great clean environment. In the hills of St Andrew Hollywel Park. Great for breakfast and or lunch. Take your jacket...you may need it. The drive up the hill is truly breathtaking. I highly recommend checking this place out. Wine and coffee are also available

A nice chill spot with pleasant and welcoming staff, beautiful views and walking trails. More Jamaican dishes on the menu would certainly be appreciated but the food was good too.

Nestled in blue mountains at Holywell, pairing food, the quiet ambiance and clean fresh air, was a perfect start to my Saturday. It wasn't too cold this time around but still chilly compared to the hot hot flat. We enjoyed the coffee, tea, hot chocolate and food though they all weren't hot. All in all a very good experience.

Excellent scenes of nature nested in the Blue Mountain range. Only open on the weekends and public holidays though. Food is good but the journey is long and tedious. May not be the place to go to if you only want food; but if you want to explore nature and have some food in between doing so, then it's excellent.

Loved the fish and 'scandalous' steak burgers, but the Fried Chicken was a bit overcooked. Great drinks, loved the view and the place is well kept. Good customer service as well. Will be returning soon. Update (May 2023): Fried Chicken is now very good. Great coffee and the loaded fries are really good. 5 star review, the perfect menu for staying/visiting Holywell and with the beauty of the park, it's absolutely worth the drive.
