Blue Burro - Bixby Knolls

Ordered a surf and turf salad and it was bomb. Just came after grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s and this place was not what I expected, it’s a super cool Latino food joint. The salad tasted good which is often difficult to make a salad not taste boring or bland. Servers were nice and her eyeliner was on point.

First time here at this location very similar to chipotle but they have a way bigger selection of drinks. They have beer Michelada’s coffee and the ingredients are also different from chipotle they have burritos with shrimp and adobada I order campechana burrito a must try, they also have draft beer and bottle beer like Corona and Pacifico.

Tried the Blue's Famous rolled tacos. They were ok. The taquitos are smothered with lots of yummy toppings and hold up pretty good, but the flavor of the actual taquito was a little off. They had a sort of bitter aftertaste that just threw the whole meal off.

I went in today and ordered a bean and cheese burrito. Just as I was getting my food, a man came in and showed the worker that he found a bottle cap in his burrito. He was very upset and asked for a refund. I had just gotten my food at that point and was a bit worried about my food potentially having something in it. While I was eating my burrito I noticed something that looked like hair but I pulled it out and it appears to be some type of plastic. This is unacceptable and this place needs to be more careful. That other man could have choked on the bottle cap or bitten into it and I could’ve consumed this piece of plastic.

This review is for the great service on 11/17 around 6pm. The cashier was so friendly and handed me my order when it was ready with a smile .I will be coming here versus toxic chipotle and their toxic and vengeful workers. Thank you to the staff here. 5 stars all around .

Blue Burro is nestled in a busy shopping center between Trader Joe's and Crush Fitness. Upon entering the setup felt a little like Chipotle except your food is made to order no assembly line here. Prices are a little pricey and not to commensurate to the portion size however location and the cost of everything these days higher prices are to be expected. The carne asada fries were yummy. The fries were a beautiful golden brown, crunchy, the asada meat was seasoned to perfection, the guacamole was nice fresh and chunky. The surf and turf burrito was a little small, shrimps were a medium size, again asada meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection, If there were some beans and rice on the side I probably would be ok with paying over $13. Customer service was sweet, and the environment was esthetically pleasing.

Food is delicious and super satisfying. The regular fries is a really generous portion and you will get full.

Stopped in for breakfast. Not too busy. Food was made fresh and tasty! They have 4 salsa selections. Fries in the breakfast burrito weren't too soft which I appreciated!

I love this place the customer service is hands down awesome the food is so good it's such a pleasant atmosphere to be in . You won't regret eating here

02.07.2025 Friday 4pm Went here for happy hour. Ordered 2 x Michelada's. $5 dollars each. Regular price is $10. The size was great and it tasted good and refreshing. Continued with my order of carne asada burrito combo and a Taquitos Shrimp meat special. Received my order in less then 10 minutes. Food was delicous! Ambiance was that of a Chipotle restaurant. I really think this fast food establishment is truly underrated. This should be like a El torrito. The food they are serving is good quality Mexican food. Overall, I would come back. Great service and good food. Establishment is clean and prices are affordable. The Cons: This place is hidden and it is hard to spot. Parking is horrible, pending on the time you go. Overall, this place is acceptable. Good job to our Cashier: Socorro was very friendly and professional Good Job.

My friends and I stopped by for a quick dinner. This location is right next to a Trader Joe's with lots of parking. The restaurant itself is nice inside. It's clean and has lots of tables and seating. We were greeted upon arrival and there was no line, so our order was taken immediately. We ordered campechana fries, surf and turf taco, and carne asada taco. For a drink, I ordered a strawberry aguas frescas. The campechana fries were really good. It's a pretty large sized portion that was split between two people. And even then, there were leftovers and we both were full. I both tacos but they're not the best I've ever had and they were pretty pricey as well. The strawberry aguas frescas was too sweet. If I go back, I'd try another drink.

Quick service. Good food. I enjoyed the food. Salsa was great. And the team was very nice.

I've been coming to Blue Burro for a while now and they offer really good Mexican food and prices are reasonable. Parking is easy as they have a lot but it can be packed as they share it with Trader Joe's and Crunch Fitness. My favorite thing to get here are the burritos and rolled tacos. Workers are nice and the restaurant is very clean. Highly recommend trying Blue Burro!

This location was easy to find, plenty of parking and the inside was clean. Everything on the menu looked good. I got the 3 rolled tacos. They were really good. A little small but good for the price. The staff is nice and there was plenty of seating inside. My only disappointment was there was barely any guacamole on the taquitos. I had to dig around to find it and when I did It looked like half a teaspoon spread thin on the top. I couldn't taste it and would have never known there was any if I didn't look for it. There was such a small amount it looked like it might have fell on it by mistake instead of a purposeful part of the dish. If you there is so little you can't even taste it what's the point. The habanero salsa was really good and like I said, the taquitos were really tasty. I might try it again and be sure to ask for a side of guacamole next time.

Foods really good, service was excellent and warming, good music too. Can never go wrong with a surf and turf burrito paired with a shake!

The entire staff was genuinely courteous n friendly. The manager even helped my friend n I pick out our food, which was BOMB!

These burritos used to be mmmaasssssiiiivveee now their half the size of what they've been for years, if I'm paying $13-$14 per burrito at least make it seem like I'm getting my money worth.

Come here for shrimp tacos! Blue horchata freaks me out but my boyfriend liked it. Sometimes the proteins run a little salty but there condiments are good and they double up on corn tortillas. Its nothing super special they offer the same variety as the a standard taqueria, but its reliable in a sense that you know what youre going to get and theres ample sit down spaces. As a principle, a place that sells tacos should not charge for salsa. Especially if that salsa is not even that special.

I love Blue Burro! If it's your first time and you're unsure what to order, I highly recommend the surf and turf burrito--you won't regret it. The service is always excellent, and the place is clean.

You know, I've tried this place three times now. Each time I've been underwhelmed and the last time I threw half my uneaten burrito away. I never do that. The last round was a breakfast burrito and I have to say the eggs and the filling were like I was eating cheap hotel food. I love Mexican so wish this place could be consistent.

I like ordering the Blue's Famous Rolled Tacos and their Carne Asada Breakfast Burritos here! Don't forget their special blue horchata drink! I usually order for pick up & haven't had a problem!

Eduardo does an excellent job of serving up delicious Blue's Famous Rolled Tacos, appetizer fried shrimp, and elotes. Gotta have the aguas. Perfect start to a Friday evening. Thank you for the superb service, Eduardo.

I like how clean and friendly the restaurant is, but the food is good to me I really like the deep fried latte they're Carne Asada. French fries are delicious and definitely come to their happy hour to get the specials for their food and drinks.

This is my 2nd time here within this year. The cashier Sofia had a really bad attitude as I was asking questions about the menu. I asked can I have crispy tacos with chicken instead of beef, she immediately said no they can't do that. ‍ Customer service is not customer service anymore. If you don't want to be here or don't like your job move on. Please retrain Sofia because her attitude is horrible.

This location is very clean. Plenty of parking , the staff is really nice. The food is good. I always get the campechana burrito and a cucumber agua fresca. Never had been disappointed.

Ok I'm changing my review after coming here several times. This restaurant is around the corner and I really wanted it to work out. Sadly it's a big disappointment! Burritos have gotten smaller. You're basically getting more tortilla than meat. Today o ordered a burrito , taquitos and quesadilla. Quesadilla was all lettuce and maybe 3 shrimp that were finely minced. The taquitos were tasty, however they were so soggy and full of lettuce! I just cannot express how dissatisfied I was. We ate because we were hungry . Returning to the store was just not an option for me because I wasn't in the mood to complain. This is officially the last time I order from there .

Always a nice experience when we go to Blue Burro for breakfast. There went that many people and the cashier was attentive and polite. Floor is a bit sticky. Plenty of shared parking in the same area as other stores. Shared the steak burrito. Wasn't that hungry so shared with my husband. Next time I want to try surf 'n' turf burrito.

The customer service if phenomenal! Socorro was a great help! She read my order back, confirmed I wanted everything on my food & brought it out efficiently! My food was nice & warm, you could tell it was freshly made!

DO NOT EAT HERE, If I can give this place zero stars I would I got a bean and cheese burrito and there was plastic particles inside, literally made me throw up !!! Like really? How can you mess up a regular shmegular bean and cheese burrito ????? It makes no sense! I also got the rolled taquitos which include steak and shrimp stacked on top with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream as topping and everything was just so bland Their salsas are an embarrassment especially the red one might as well reach for some tapatio I'm very disappointed and I would like a FULL refund

I LOVE this spot. Everyone is so so friendly and helpful (Karen is my bff). The food is delicious, fresh, and healthy. The guacamole is delicious and the portion sizes are phenomenal. My new favorite spot!

Beautiful service. That is for sure. But the food was another thing. The burrito was so salty, I could not finish it. The meat so chewy and tough I felt like I was chewing on strips of masking tape. Oi. Never again.

Terrible customer service. We will not eat here ever again. Management needs to train employees to be nicer. You have lost another customer.

I just went to this place for the 1st time today because I was craving a burrito. So after shopping at TD, I decided to give this place a try. The customer service was excellent. A very pleasant young man suggested a few Items one being the Surf & Turf Burrito which has about 5-6 ingredients. And I also got the Habanero Salsa. I took the 1st bite of the burrito without salsa and I was Hooked! Then added the Delicious Salsa later...which just enhanced the flavors of both the shrimp & steak! By far one of the best Burritos I've ever had! Not to mention there was meat and shrimp from the bottom to the top ALL the way through the entire tortilla YUM y'all! you should definitely check it out for yourselves.

Breakfast burritos for brunch. I got the breakfast bacon burrito with guacamole and my fiancé got the carne asada, egg and cheese burrito with guacamole. Ordered from their app and our order was ready upon arrival. Service was quick and a efficient. These burritos are massive in size and taste delicious. The meat, cheese, egg, and French fries ratio was just right.

Coco and Lucy are the best. There food is great. I come literally every week. And they are friendly and so nice.

I hate to write this review but after hearing such good things about this place i have the exact opposite since walking in the door the woman that took our order Sofia was extremely rude to us when we asked if they had a physical menu she gave us an attitude and said no i let her know that it hard for me to see things from afar because of an eye injury I tried my best to read what i could and when i ordered I asked what topping the food came with and she then she prosedes to say " ARE YOU F**** blind it says on the menu. I was taken aback and just paid waited for the food for over an hour i had ordered it to go but was brought on a tray the girl who brought it was sweet but i couldn't eat it i just took it and gave it to a man asking for food outside in my 30 years of life i have never been treated so horrible definitely do not recommend this location

The staff and service here is awesome, The ambiance is great, and the Surf &Turf Burrito is my favorite along with carne asada , Everything tastes amazing when Lucy make it , Thank you Lucy for being the best cook there at Blue Burro

Food is always fresh, hot and yummy. This place is very clean and the staff are courteous, friendly and honest. Last time I came in I was over charged. I had no idea until the girl behind the counter (Socro) Stated I think I over charged you and once confirmed promptly gave me the money back. Now days, this rarely happens. I applauded the honesty. This will keep me coming back. Thank you.

Great customer service, Eduardo and Lucy both had a great attitude, helped me pick out a great meal for me and my girlfriend, the tacos lucy cooked were delicious, and they do a great job keeping the restaurant nice and clean!!

Quality ingredients, good portions, friendly service, and clean dinning area. Also, their salsas are fresh and delicious and not overly spicy.

So I've been coming here since they opened. I've enjoyed the huge carne asada and pollo asado burritos. Maybe it was just today but the $41 for three burritos was a waste of money. The burritos were no bigger than the ones you'd get at the fast food joints and the meat, both carne and pollo were lacking in seasoning and flavor. The chicken was very dry and lukewarm like it had been out for a while and everyone at my table agreed. I hope that today was just a fluke.

I usually order food from this place and have it delivered to my job when in a hurry. This time I was able to go into the location. The service was good and the place is well maintained and clean. Small simple menu but great food. I finally tried the blue horchata yes it's blue for the name of the restaurant I believe. If you want good food then get the California burrito. That is my favorite.

First time here and omg the food was amazing. Super flavorful and a good amount of meat on the tacos. Customer service was excellent and they take your order fast and repeat your order and give you the offers or the deals. Socorro took our order today and she was so cool. Brought our order to the table and didn't take long to come out. They have a variety of good food. The atmosphere is awesome. I love how every race comes to eat here. We coming back for sure.

I always order to go since it's not too far from work. The food is fresh and always served quickly. My favorite's are the Blue's Famous rolled tacos and the Surf and Turf salad. I've never tried their shakes but they look delicious!

Bf wanted tacos so we decided to try Blue Burro since it was nearby. Ordered our food online so we wouldn't have yo wait. Online it said our order would be ready by 6:50pm. Left the house to get there by 6:50 and our food was ready. I got the surf and turf salad which was really good, however the salad was really watery. I asked for the pico on the side and there was none in my bag. The meat and shrimp were really tasty My bf ordered the famous 5 rolled tacos. We asked for no tomatoes because he has a tomato allergy and there were tomatoes on his good. I asked for no tomotoes on the order and put it on the comments section. We were able to take them off. His food was also cold. I think the issue was the ticket on the bag said the food was going to be ready at 6:30 however the email communication said 20 minutes later. My bf warmed up the feed and said it was really good. We also ordered fries and Asked for them to be extra crispy. They were very soggy not sure if that had anything to do with the 20 minute wait. Would go back but wont be doing online ordering again.

Finally tried this spot after seeing mixed reviews and it always looking quiet inside. Cashier was super friendly and it was incredibly easy to order. We got the Famous Rolled Tacos and a Surf-and-Turf Burrito which both were absolutely delicious! The food was not filled with typical fillers such as beans and rice and was nicely packed with plenty of well seasoned proteins. The Rolled Tacos had shredded beef inside and topped within lettuce, pico, cheese, carne asada and shrimp... yum! And the Burrito had thick angus steak pieces and shrimp. Super excited to come back because it gives us a variation from the local taco trucks!

Been wanting to try this place for a while. So I did. And now, I know. Very BASIC. FOOD IS BASIC. Wanted a shredded beef burrito, not on the menu, but surely you can make that since you have shredded beef!@.NOPE. ONLY FOOD FROM THE MENU AND NO SUBSTITITIONS. OKAY! So, you have shredded beef tacos and taquitos, and I can't get that in a big totilla? Sad. I ordered rolled tacos, beef. And just plain old boring. They are covered in sour cream, Avocado, salsa, lettuce. Which disguises the small taquito. 10.25 for 5. So 11.85 with tax. I think I will stick with Super Mex. Oh, and they charge for salsa!!! Geeez.

I'm checking out this new restaurant in my neighborhood and I'm excited it's a neat little spot perfect for family and friends even a first date to chill sit back for great conversation and to enjoy fresh food made to order. It's nice and clean in this eclectic spot the setup is similar to Chipotle but in my opinion without the chaos it's new so they're still working out the kinks but I assure you they are on top of things all the front and back staff are nice and very friendly. My order I ordered a carne Assad's burrito it has guacamole and fresh pico gallo I added hot salsa to mine and got a few hot and green salsas on the side and the salsa was free. My burrito was filled with the most tender meat delicious guacamole and pico de gallo it was so good I drizzled some of the green salsa and that was the best salsa I've had in 2021 and the spicy red one was equally the bomb I'm definitely coming back to try more. I had a cucumber drink that was very refreshing it could be a bit sweeter but it was great. They had these old school mini cakes I used to eat back in the day I bought banana and chocolate I've had these before and it's nice to see them sold locally again they are the moistest most delicious little cakes. I had a nice conversation with the manager Greg a real nice man and he told me they had been open for three weeks well I'm happy to highly recommend this place everything is fresh made too order and that's a good thing run get you some of this deliciousness. They have shakes fresh made juice drinks tacos burritos taquitos fries delicious combinations sooo much in this place definitely give them a try actually it's a must try try spot in Bixby knolls. Love this place, I was shopping next door at Trader Joe's. There's a private parking lot to accommodate quite a few cats. It was pretty crowded I was acknowledged upon entering the restaurant the staff was nice and friendly . I love the setup of the restaurant it has a cute decor style . There's lots of yummy stuff on the menu I opted for the pollo asada salad it was yummy love the vinaigrette dressing. I can't wait to return to try some of the other yumm items on the menu ...

Can't go wrong here. Everything was a hit in my book. From customer service, to quality, flavor, and portion size. I had the surf n turf burrito, insane. The famous rolled tacos were loaded up and delicious. Topped it off with an Agua Fresca and Choco banana shake. They kill It at making shakes. Everything was outstanding. Can't wait to return to try their other items! And yes, all staff had masks on and the place is kept very clean.
